The BTC markets at Cryptopia and YoBit are working just fine.  sure, but the volume is more than questionable. How are they supposed to see more volume if people avoid them because they have low volume? Chicken or egg...take your pick. Meanwhile what impetus does cryptsy have to suck less when there's near zero competition for alt coin markets and everyone just keeps going back for more abuse? Many rightly complain about cryptsy's lousy service, but they do nothing to address the issue. Besides there have been several days recently when Cryptopia has moved more Zeit than Cryptsy, there are just a whole lot less bots there trading back and forth to each other. Zeitcoin is among Cryptopia's top markets most days. |

What would it take to get a Zeit/BTC pair on Cryptsy? It will surely help with the spread. I vaguely remember a post about Cryptsy double dipping for LTC purchases but I don't think that's the case since people can just buy LTC somewhere else. Think they told us it'd take some silly volume level that only a tiny percentage of their pairings actually achieve. I forget their exact excuse though. There are BTC pairings at exchanges now running on software not made by 3rd graders though...just almost nobody uses them. |

Hi, I don't understand this : This means that you will want to split your HYP blocks into the appropriate amount of HYP if you want to receive 750% reward I have a block with 10k Hyp, 49.78 Age, 11.13 Days to stake, and Priority highest and Potential Stake 1000 Hyp since a long time ; to get the 1000 Hyp I have to split my 10k Hyp another time or I just have to wait? I don't find an answer in the wiki, so thank's for your help Don't make large blocks. A 10k block that gets lucky and stakes after only 9 days yields 405.5%. At 50 days you're looking at only 73%. Between the subsidy cap and the restriction on weight gain after 30 days, large Hyp blocks are massively devalued compared to other PoS coins. Small blocks and luck = deluxe profits. Large blocks and luck = mediocre returns. Large blocks and bad luck = you shoulda played with a different stake coin. |

The headers are sorting tools. Click on the word "Confirmations" or "Date" to sort. If you're throwing away coin age then throw away the block(s) with the fewest confirmations.

I've seen it get stuck syncing a couple times. Simply killing it and restarting has done the trick.
Make sure that silly windows firewall isn't blocking it too.

My point is - our coin is NOT what it used to be for all its life.. as we had well known figures in the formula when we plan our budgets. Amount of coins, intrest rate, age... before this days everyone had chance to stake at 40% rate (0.0000x diff) Now for the first time it looks like we are going to have the coin that is different from what is described at the Official Page.. its not High POS any more and that can drive people away from the coin! We have to think NOT only about market conditions, but also the coin must perform the same way all the time so you can count on it (easy rules i.e. 40% at 30+ days) Now we have unknown Super Low Stake rate  If you want ~2% rate - go to hobonickles If you want all your coin compressed to 100000hyp blocks to get 1000.. then go buy HYP But this 40% is the main feature of the tekcoin and that what drives the demand... this mining is power efficient etc. It is stupid to just cut the supply of the coin which main feature is something that can be promoted as the Virtual Mining contracts with constant outcome peace P|S why we must stay with something that novacoin has ? Perhaps// is this true that we have 95% diff rise because of ONE adress? If this is the case, then it is bad for the coin? for all 95% of its users.. and we must take action if we see something wrong, so that we dont get into the same trabble in the future! Really think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill here. The APY on TeK is STILL hovering right around 200%. My most recent HBN stakes have been right around 84% APY. This is happening while the price of these two excellent coins have been moving in opposite directions. To me that says leave TeK alone and buy HBN...it's undervalued, but that's just me. There's nothing wrong with TeK, it's just evolving. It remains one of the highest yielding, oldest, well established hybrid coins out there. TeK is 87th in market cap, which is where free market forces have placed it. What would be served by overriding the inflation controls and tanking the value? This! I'd like to see a bit of a facelift on the wallet from time to time, and that's really it. TEK works as it should, and almost always has. I think I may have been the last to understand NVCS, and I'm still not concerned Totally! If TeK had PHS or HBN's sick wallets I'd consider swearing off other alts entirely. Wonder what kind of a bribe we'd need to get Palmdetroit or Tranz to take an interest. |

hey, 14M more zeit ,it is a lot. Give me some please  You can get some more at a good price, just get some LTC on the Cryptsy market and put in some visible buy support (like around 350 or higher..heck why not pump the price up a bit?). Only a matter of time before those sell walls higher up crumble and whoever has those Zeits will want to just sell them at the bid price. Now is the time to ACCUMULATE them Zeits while everyone is trying to dump Zeits for LTC so they can convert to BTC. But all this LTC being bought is just going to be reinvested back into LTC markets (assuming they don't end up dumping it all). Then all the high volume LTC coins like Zeit will end up being PUMPED like no one's business. Right now, we got lots of liquidity on the ask side, but hardly anything on the BID side (which is what we really need right now). No need to pump the prices when so many stoopid people would be happy to just sell you Zeit for cheap on the bid side. With enough bid orders, there will be so much buying and selling of Zeit that we can start getting our volumes up. If we can get that up to 50 BTC Volume for a month straight, cryptsy will have no choice but to take notice and give us the BTC pairing we deserve. Agree totally, that's the smart way to play it with a pool of aggressive sellers who'll probably suffer from seller's remorse soon enough. The funny part is that even with all the dumping, Zeit is right at an all time high. |

Raising compound APY back up to 7400% isn't going to increase equality amongst TekCoin holders. The rich will continue to get richer...probably even faster as the "poor" dump their rapidly growing interest payments and the rich continue to pile up more Tek. In the fiat world equity disparity is often the result of a corrupt monetary system and bribed government officials. That is not the issue with TekCoin. The rich are getting richer here because they got in earlier(IOW risked capital sooner) and/or held longer. Neither of which is a good reason to "punish the rich". These are the folks that have been protecting the TekCoin blockchain before many ever heard of TekCoin. They're not villians, they're early adopters.
Tek is on a nice steady incline in market cap, why mess with it? Don't be like goobermint mucking around trying to fix stuff. The inflation controls are doing what they were intended to do. Compound APY is still over 500%. Suggest you not fix what ain't broken.
As to the issue of Cryptsy staking coins(if they are) I am 100% opposed...but then I don't understand people that leave high interest POS coins on exchanges anyway. Makes no sense whatsoever. Keep your coins in your own wallet and it won't be an issue.
Well said. Couldn't agree more. We all got in knowing TEK has NVCS for inflation control. And it works. Believe it or not, high difficulty is a good thing. It means many are participating despite the diminishing rewards. The increasing price speaks for itself. I think the best thing to do, besides periodic wallet updates, is do nothing to the protocol. Serious investors expect stability from a 2-year-old coin. Changing it willy-nilly is the fastest way to destroy confidence. If anything, we need to focus on getting another exchange, and preferably one with more volume than Cryptsy. Likewise. Well said. I believe, as I mentioned previously, we should be targeting Cryptopia. If voting alone isn't going to get it done(and it's not) then perhaps we should consider crowd funding a dot pool to buy our way in. Having another exchange in case cryptsy goes down again would be a good safeguard. Being on another exchange that also gives TeK a LTC pairing would be deluxe imo. |

staking, how it works. I should wait 20 days and they it will be every day or not ? Each block's coin age is reset when it stakes, so if you want to attempt to see coins staking every day then you'd have to stagger your blocks in such a way that a different block would mature each day. So for instance, today is the 5th of July so blocks that haven't moved since June 15 are maturing, if said blocks were to stake today they'd be reset and wouldn't be ready to stake again until the 25th. FYI : Scratch any more donations for the moment to a PressTab Block Explorer,
Presstab is having technical difficulty and may not be able to fulfill the service of his block explorer for Zeit.  I am working on it right now, but lets just put donations on pause until I get it fully figured out. I was able to sort out my problems... at least I think. I thought I was completely synced but it was just stuck on a block. Turned on explorer functions and it add it go a little nuts. Now it appears to be behaving very similar to other aged chains with fast block speed. I will watch it for the night before declaring victory presstab.pw/phpexplorer/ZEIT Good news man! Thanks for being persistent. BTW we ZeitFreaks prefer to be called "mature" not "aged". |
