I think that is exactly the sort of reply NewWorldCoiner is talking about - We know he never was and is not part of the official team, that is not the concern or the question. People want to know the deal is between he and yourself - not what he ISN'T, rather what he IS and what he has done that warranted the payment. Even worse than uncertainty in a market is having points of concern actively avoided. It is not acceptable to simply call those who ask these questions 'troublemakers'. If certain questions are 'not allowed' to be asked then the market will respond accordingly and it wont be pretty. Clear the air and let us move on - but a simple "that's already been answered" won't fly. Many of my questions which were serious have been deleted. Its done nothing but hurt the coin. I would suggest you get the dev to have a read of the unmoderated thread for XC (and hopefully he can have a serious technical discussion rather than throw buzz words around) - the discussion going on there is 100x more beneficial to this coin then all the stupid "I LOVE YOU DEV" crap in here. Dig your head in the sand and put your shields up around the dev and pay for it later. I have read that thread and it isn't exactly technical discussion , it's mostly "XC IS A SCAM". Also, not a lot has been deleted lately. Actually graphics and images explaining the technical details were provided here multiple times. Again, please do you research and read this thread before you say it's just "I LOVE YOU DEV". The last few 20+ pages, really don't look like that. As the head of this coin ATCSecure must be the face of all questions and be able to provide FULL TRANSPARENCY to the community before it can be adopted. If that means answering the questions 5x over or coming out and saying "Yes I paid loljosh to do the foundation code for the PoS" then so be it. At least the air is cleared and you can carry on. If not he can choose to hide away in this safe comfort zone which is heavily moderated and throw vague 1 line buzz word filled answers hoping that will put a smile on everyones face. You will keep your closed knit community and go down holding each others hands. DRK went through the exact same thing but 10x worse with people like Anonymint ripping the architecture and anonymity components to pieces. And thats why DRK has the most solid solution of any coin so far. Every question can be confidently answered - We all had months worth of discussions of chopping and changing parts of the solution - why do you think its over 1600 pages long. The invitation is there to break down the walls and let the dev come clean with all the questions which have blatantly been shoved under the rug - its your choice. Whenever repeated questions are deleted users get a link to the answer. |

Here is what I do everytime a post is deleted:  I've seen that. I've also seen people asking awkward questions, questions which have not yet received a satisfactory answer, have their posts deleted, and the subject brushed aside. Will the new forum be like this? I need an example? |

Sounds terrible. Like a private members club. If they want to moderate their own website's forum that seems fine to me - As long as freedom of speech is maintained here. This is will continue to be the main port of call for both positive and negative statements about the coin, as it should be. You cannot simply prevent others from speaking their mind on a coin just because it harms your vested interest (e.g. you are holding coins you are trying to hype up and sell for a higher price and someone is making that harder for you to do by speaking negatively). As long as this thread is a free speech zone the separate forum is no big deal. Anyone will be able to clearly see that its members will obviously be firmly attached to the coin and will take what they say with a grain of salt. The new forum will be designed to listen to legitmate concerns and answer them. I will only moderate spam/fud. The users that get banned will be chosen by the community through the karma system unless it turns out that their questions where legitimate. From here I only have deleted fud/spam. |

The troll's and fudder's aren't being hurt by restricting peoples opinions on this coin. If anything it's the actual coin's image that get's damaged by becoming self moderated. It seems like people actually liked the idea of this thread being self moderated. If you want I can post a screenshot of how I send a pm to every user explaining why their post got deleted. Also it's not about restricting opinions it's about getting rid of the nonsense and fud |

+1 Every coin has its spammers, fudders and haters. But, most people don't follow EVERY page written. Truth, transparency, professionalism and progress is the key to survival. XC had weathered every attack by being diplomatic and friendly to all. This is why many are here I believe. If you change these dynamics to a over controlled system, personally as a major supporter of XC. I am feeling a bit lack lustre about this direction atm. I think the XC dedicated forum is worthwhile but i do get an over controlling sense. I propose less controls and empower moderators who can take care of the hooligans. The karma system was also a good idea so long as it's not abused to quiet people with legitimate concerns. Edit: Also, once XC is the clear leader there will be less FUD  What about a system where users donate 0.1XC? Are you talking about requiring it? It's not really a donation at that point then  Yeah I see what you mean.. but the money would go towards forum server costs and would be fully transparent. Maybe make (non-required) donations a status symbol giving the user certain rapport among their peers? Intresting idea. |

It'll be a nightmare validating each and every user manually. If you really believe it is necessary, you'll be much better off limiting Newbie accounts to a certain section for 10 posts or so. In all honesty though, the more you try to fight criticism the harder it becomes. It will be easier on everyone if there are no restrictions from the get go. Just ban the ignorant. We are ok with criticism just not blatant lies or people who clearly don't bother researching anything. This thread will be mod-free when the new forum rolls out which should fairly soon. We will also depend on users to feedback on users that cause trouble. -5 karma and you are suspended for two hours and can't post till your posts are checked. |
