121  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will cash become a premium product? on: May 01, 2024, 10:36:10 PM
They are preparing everyone to become cashless but, I think that they're not expecting it that it will happen longer because there's still a huge demand from everywhere with cash. I don't think that someday that the cash will be valuable as how Bitcoin is and will have its own value. The government will just have to devalue them or denote these fiat currencies because they're no longer needed and one reason might be for the environmental issues as they don't need to dispose paper and no need to create for it as it will save the nature from producing.
It's going to be an interesting thing but countries that are advanced are still using cash because of how considerate they are to most of their people that don't know how to use modern technology. It can be reasonable for the older folks but not to the newer generation when they've been fond of using devices and cashless society is like an interesting to be in within the next several years. Good thing in my area, they're not closing down ATMs and instead, they're increasing it because the demand is high and due to inflation, the banks want people to spend as much money as they can so that they can keep a lot of it that shall be later gonna be used for loans when they declare lesser interest rates.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get discouraged by the current price of Bitcoin on: May 01, 2024, 09:12:22 PM
I overheard a discussion between two friends and one was telling the other that Bitcoin is a scam and that a lot of people preached about the halving and how people could cashout from it. The other friend was trying to convince him to continue holding his asset but he refused and replied that nothing would stop him from selling the coins he's holding.
As much as I want to overhear conversations like this, I let them be what the other want to do. If he wants out and wanting to sell, then he can do that on his might and no one is going to stop him from doing so. Because we're all investors here and if it doesn't make sense anymore for you as you hold and you're incurring losses and your main option is to get out then get out as no one is going to stop you even your closest friends.

When I heard that man mentioned cashing out from the halving, I understood that he might know about Bitcoin but he's not properly enlightened concerning it. A lot of expectations were cut short after the halving event cause most people expected Bitcoin to set a new height of $80k but then it didn't even get close to the previous all time high and have reduced below $60k currently.
It's about cutting loss or having some little profit. As the market crashes today, it makes sense if that guy will take whatever he's got and comes back again whenever he's available. Encouraging them to invest based on our feeling shouldn't be done, we can tell our sentiments and thoughts about the market but we can't dictate them what they should do when we're done telling our suggestions to them.

I think people shouldn't get discourage by that, though I didn't experience other halvings cause I had zero knowledge about Bitcoin then but i think something similar have occurred before in one of the previous halving where Bitcoin price didn't go up as expected but later traced back and went up after some period, a lot of people might begin to panic and sell their coins but I still see this an opportunity to buy more Bitcoin and for those who are not opportuned to do so, holding is the best option, please correct me if you think am wrong
It's normal for people that haven't been here for so long to panic. They think that it's the end of the world when they're mostly seeing the reds in the numbers. We can't blame them for having that panicking moments because all they want is to make profit but as they wait, they need to experience these drops for them to learn on how be resilient just as how Bitcoin is.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 01, 2024, 08:07:12 PM
Individually, Jokic is unstoppable and he's on his prime. With his height and vision to the paint makes him a great play maker but it's true that without Jamal, he won't make it. I hope that if ever they win the championship this time, it's going to be Jamal that will win the MVP award. And that last two shots that he made to win the tie game on a playoffs, that's something else and it's on the books and records now.

Those buzzer-beaters that Murray made in the first round are impressive, but if the Nuggets reach the finals, I think Jokic will have an advantage over Murray in terms of getting the Finals MVP award. After all, this award is given to the player who contributed the most to the team's victories throughout the series, not in a single game. In this regard, Jokic looks like a more stable player compared to Murray.
Well, you're right and no doubt that every contribution that has been made is with Jokic and those plays that Murray does because there's a center that's seeing him wherever he goes and gives that support to him. I just want him to win the MVP this time since Jokic has already got his twice. But the league will decide on who's got the more contribution and there will be no doubt that Jokic is the candidate for it.

Meanwhile Milwaukee Bucks wake up finally and win against Pacers so they are still alive lets see how much they can do, because they have the knife in their neck. And Cavalliers taking the advantge so lets see if they can beat Magic on 6 games.
They didn't woke up, they don't even have their superstars with that match and they're able to win. Doc has got the idea now that even without their two superstars, the team will do better and they all have to make their own plays without relying mostly to them. They've got a lot of good supporting players that can be used and maximized their potential as long as they're giving a lot of playing time.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 01, 2024, 04:10:38 AM
^ Ya, the Bucks are coming through without their superstars. It shows that while superstars are great, everybody in an NBA uniform can play.
That's it, 115-92 ending score. 3-2 in standing and there goes the game 6. All of the other players have made great contribution and I agree that in NBA, everyone can contribute and do better in the same uniform as they are. It's just a matter of given playing time and with situations like this, they're able to step up. Beasley, Middleton, Beverley, they all did great and some additional from other benchies.

The Philly game tonight was something else. They may have won the game but I feel like the basketball community is turning on Joel Embiid. They’re tired of his flopping antics and it shows on social media.
Anyway, Maxey did great on this game and this probably his career high CMIIW. No doubt that he's been awarded the most improved player.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 01, 2024, 03:20:58 AM
Looks like no Giannis, no Damian - no problem for the Milwaukee Bucks. Game's now in the 3rd quarter with a 15 points lead with under 5 minutes remaining to the clock.

Jamal Murray is definitely what made Nuggets win this easily, because we are talking about someone who made Jokic 2 time MVP as well. How? Well simply enough, Jokic can't be a great Center if he had no help at all, he needs some help to be who he is, like we all know him as a great passer right? Who could he pass to if he had terrible teammates? His teammates missing all their shots would make him not be the MVP, but when there are other threats like Murray who plays like this, he ends up getting better looks as well.

Murray definitely played amazingly and I believe that he is going to end up being the Kobe to Jokics Shaq in the future. We are going to see people start talking about Murray like the star he is, but it may take some time because all eyes are on Jokic right now.
This tandem is for keeps of the Nuggets unless one of them wants to get out of the team. But I don't think that they'd do that since they're enjoying their moments there and this kind of chemistry is hard to find so for sure the Nuggets heads won't do something crazy of trading them. That's why it's all on them and contracts like this is freedom for them and they know what they want to. I guess that they will be settling down with only one team until retirement.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling: Modern entertainment or highly addictive game? on: April 30, 2024, 07:41:01 PM
Both for me , because that is why this is the most popular activities in online in terms of leisure nowadays , in this people are spending so much money for such a time now and that bothers many non gambling people.
And the reality about it is that many have treated it as a way for them to make money whilst it's not being recommended by many. We have to embrace that reality that aside from being addictive and entertaining, what it can offer by winning some off and on. There goes the mindset that have been setup to many gamblers that this is another way to make money. While many will definitely disagree with that because gambling is built for them to enjoy together with their friends and people who they will deal with as they gamble. So, whichever you treat it based on your own view, you'll still end up with the thought that you have to gamble with what you can afford to lose because it's painful when you lose everything and come to that point unprepared.

So i believe that this is entertaining at the same time addicting because that is what gamblers do now, they even giving people hard time in terms of expenses because of this addicting field .
There is no doubt that gambling is addictive, based on how we feel. There's no need to see someone's experience just to get that perspective that we want to know. Because we know it from ourselves within when we've got our personal views due to the experiences that we're cherishing and either good or bad, we've got the lesson.
127  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hard economy reshape citizens and society positively or negatively on: April 30, 2024, 06:38:38 PM
Have you ever imagined how hard it is today in our society as it's very difficult for citizens to throw away money by mistake just like before one move on street and peak fiat currency of different denomination, and some valuables such as golden necklace etc, apart from peaking of currency, valuables in street people find it difficult to even release money unlike before as charity  to individual ,organizations or donation to any occasion as everyone is conscious of not knowing the next and how harsh the economy and inflation will hit them mostly the third world country like my nation, that is heated hardly.

I just they imagine the way many today has turn into begger because of hardship of economy despite working or being engaged in one way or the other scale of business find it difficult to Carter for their responsibility and just to meet up, has course many to commit some hinious crime against the policy and laws of the society, do you think economy is fair enough to it's citizens facing this level of hardship of going against the laws of it's nation, what will a citizen do when everything is against it's survive, Your idea most priority.
Life before was too easy even I that don't have a stable job before can buy anything that I wish to have. But nowadays, I have to work my ass off without having to treat myself. And most people have to work 2 or more jobs to survive. Life after the covid pandemic and with the wars that are happening now is too tough to be honest. We're all living just to live and survive and not to enjoy this life because the future is uncertain and we don't know when peace will be claimed. Having consciousness that peace might take a while until the world will get it, there goes the nonstop rise of the cost of goods, the food except those countries that are able to sustain their food for their people. Everyone is working hard to bring food to our tables and that has become the common of many, not that grand dreams anymore but hopefully the newer generation will enjoy their lives compared to us. I have enjoyed my life but still worried a lot because of the global issues that seems no one is able to skip it but only the real rich folks that can built underground houses and vaults and bunkers.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i earn from NFTs and Game on: April 30, 2024, 04:31:48 PM
Even if the project don't have interesting features but if there are some big investors behind the project then you can invest into it for a short term profits trade. It'll give you some very good short term profits.
Usually, it's all about the noise that's been made from the hype makers and as well as the marketers. With the push from the big investors together with the developers, they're going to make a huge noise that will attract a lot of retail investors. And with that, it will be the capitalized start of that project that shall drive the project itself to become the center attraction. We've seen this happen for many projects who have been focused into NFTs and play to earn games.
They're all interesting if you're a gamer and fan of it but in the long run, you'll be questioning how they're going to last long if everyone is making money and for sure that there's someone who's losing a huge amount within their pockets. So, it's both also the investors behind the production of that project and the developers as well and they can't stay on that situation for so long and that's why they have to do something to secure themselves before the gamers and retail investors. The profiting on short term is there but like what people are telling about long term, they're likely to face problems.
129  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: April 30, 2024, 01:20:58 PM
MBA is nothing if you dont know how to use knowledge or havent developed right set of skills for business. A lot of MBA students know theory, but when they are given tasks, they cant do anything, because they dont have any experience.
That's true but given that they get into the real world of business and employment, they will learn additional knowledge with that. Actually having an MBA is actually a good start if you just like to sit and be in the corporate world until you retire but it's a different story when you're starting to think of owning a company. Being immersed in the actual business will give you more prospect of companies wanting to hire you than of having an MBA but, there are companies that value the traditional education and the knowledge that you acquire there. But to be honest, many don't rely on them anymore as it's like the company is the one pushing employees to have MBAs than graduating with an MBA then getting hired.

Imho MBA is a little "+" when you are tested, evaluated and selected among other candidates when applying for a job. Anyway people will look on your past experience more than on the name of the university a person has graduated from. Maybe my life experience is exceptional and totally different from others, but when I or others applied for the position, both MBA and BA were selected similarly, did the same job/tasks and only those who showed results were left in the company.
For someone that don't have any experience yet, it's good to have an MBA because you're right that it serves as a plus. And the employers are going to rely on your credentials instead of experience. But as of now, many employers do rely on the experience of anyone that will help their company instead of someone who finished good degrees and masterals because that will save them money and time as well.

Exactly, there is more to see and experience the actuality of how brutal the real competition in the world of business is. But don't get scared with that, you'll eventually get to have colleagues and connections that will help you out with that. Getting an MBA is going to give you a lot of connections in the academe, professors, admins and staff of your institution and apart from that, the classmates that you have been with your batch could also be one of the greatest connections that you'll ever have as you network with them.

You can get same connections if you hang out with MBA students or get second BA education. You can get well with professors during start of the study. Anyway professors are the same for all students. There is not like MBA students get more elite professors to teach them than others.
Most of the professors that are in the MBA program are also professionals and that's why I think they've got a better connection because they're connected to the real world of professions and industries that they're in. Compared to the BA professors, although they're the same that might be employed as well and only works part time as university professors but the qualification for MBA programs as professors are higher than compared to the normal BA courses.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 30, 2024, 11:09:53 AM
The Lakers did good but it's not just enough. Anthony Davis got his one shoulder injured and yet he still able to play and tried his best since it's on his mind that it's gonna be their last match win or lose. His rebounding was also on his one arm only since the other one was injured. That clutch play at the last few seconds when Murray did tried to shoot first but it didn't went it but, you know what's the winning moment there? When the ball and rebound should be for the Lakers but Aaron Gordon got the ball and then passed back to Murray and it went in.
That's the moment when they're able to analyze that the last shot will be theirs and again, Murray did his thing and another highlight for this match when Murray did posterized Lebron. What a way to do that to one of the best in the leagues when you don't really do those plays. Nuggets is on fire and they're going to face Timberwolves and I like this match, we'd see Gobert against Jokic. And unlike Lakers, they won't have any problem with the rebounds and under the ring defense.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is best for a player to draw the line? on: April 29, 2024, 12:32:00 PM
Stopping immediately is the best choice to make. You don't have to wait for bigger losses or wins before you stop, so the deal here is when you win an acceptable and satisfying amount then you can stop from there. And the same goes for losing, when you lose a substantial amount and you can't bear anymore to keep going then that's the time that you have to stop.
Don't be a hero to yourself and set measures for you to stop because no one is there to stop you but only you and your pocket. When your pockets are empty, that's going to be your indication to stop but are you going to let that happen? IMHO, you shouldn't.
Because if you allow that to happen then you'll get used to it and the bigger problem is what if you don't realize that too soon and often and you're causing yourself a trouble that you're not noticing it once in a while when you gamble.
The thing is you'll keep on pulling money on your other pocket and much worse if you're going to take some real cash from your savings until you can't gamble anymore because you have nothing left.
A lot of gamblers have their specific times to draw the line when they're gambling which I think is absolutely valid provided that it helps them to stay remain responsible in their gambling engagements. For me, I have my own pattern of gambling and when I do deem it necessary to stop gambling for a moment and come back to it in subsequent time. These are the two times I find it very necessary to stop gambling. The first is when if immediately after I start gambling, I notice that I'm not getting wins as I should, I draw the line at that moment to come back later and the second is if I start gambling with a lot of winnings, I stop gambling whenever i notice that I've started losing my stakes. Failure to follow this my personal gambling guidelines would always make me to lose more than I bargained before gambling at that particular moment
There are times that we can say that we are in need to stop whether we're in control or we've got some pattern to follow. While we're comfortable doing so and we can stop at any rate that we can, having some patterns and clues when to stop is a must. You should draw the line when you can because if you're not going to do anything within your sets. The problem that's going to be built within yourself is going to be terrible. When you commit mistakes, you'll be afraid not to be able to recover because even if you keep telling yourself that can recover and you can stop.
As soon as you notice that things aren't go accordingly to what you're expecting, you better stop. Do some contingency plans and do the most of it because if you're not going to do anything, the continuous losses are just waiting you and your emotional being will get triggered with those losses. You have no way going to win against that when your mortal enemy is within yourself, and no other than you.

134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 29, 2024, 04:59:17 AM
A sweep!
Phoenix Suns is already out of the playoffs. Timberwolves is going to get into the semis and they're likely to face Denver Nuggets once they're done with the Lakers.
What a turn of event for the Coach of Timberwolves when Conley has jumped on him and hit him with his knee. While it's like a few minutes left on the game, their coach Chris Finch is injured but I hope that he does recover and it's nothing serious at all and they still have time to take a rest.
And with all of this seasons roster changes, KD with the Suns together with Booker and Beal as said to be a superteam, it seems that the Timbewolves is more of the superteam that we're all not expecting to come into this far. But what's next for KD? Is he going to make some transfer request and he'd sign back to the OKC as it's more of an interesting than the Suns for this playoffs.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving in this economy needs a new minds set on: April 29, 2024, 02:26:35 AM
That's true, you need to have that open mindset that you're going to think about the future and your survivalship while you are on this world. It's going to be a long cycle that you have no idea if it's going to take a while or not but what's important is you're taking that initiative of investing. Because if you're not going to do anything as of the moment that you're able to invest or find another way to increase your source of income you're wasting your time and moment because you don't do anything. Look at the rich people, they keep on hustling as if they're going to be poor for the rest of their lives but that's not how it goes. They are working hard still despite that they can be settled until the end of their lives.
That is because all of us are surviving and adapting to the economy changes that we have no idea if by next year if it's going to be fruitful to our country and economy or we're going to remain stagnant. With all the wars that are happening, economic troubles, recessions, they're almost everywhere nowadays and the impact that it gives to most countries is certainly affecting each of us.
136  Economy / Economics / Re: It's better to invest now than to regret it in a hospital bed. on: April 28, 2024, 11:29:42 PM
We should not only think about the present but should also be prepared for the future and if someone is not serious about their future then in harsh situations they will only taking loans from others.
I see many people decide to enjoy their lives currently and don't plan what it is coming in the future. They are defending their own thoughts that it's not a problem for them when they don't have anything in the future because they're just going with the flow. They take loans, they'll pay, get more credit cards. They're enjoying life because future is uncertain which makes sense to be honest but I wouldn't go on that route.

I think one should save and invest at least an amount that if a sudden emergency arises then they should have their own saved amount and they can handle the situation properly.
Emergency funds is what you're trying to say and this is common even for the people that only have basic knowledge about finances. It is an important thing to have this because you don't know what might happen in the future.

The market is still favorable for buying therefore if someone has saved some amount then use a little percentage of that saved amount for investment but invest wisely because it is the activity that you are doing for the future.
The market has always a place for us, investors. It just so happen that we don't take those opportunities when they're visible because of some constraints like having not enough budget to spare and invest and we've got some other important matters to cater with that money that we can invest.

I thought that they'd be finished by Team Liquid on the lower bracket but it's a reverse power coming from the former Team Liquid who likes to be in the lower bracket and kicks every team that are in the lower bracket.

Nah if there is any team that would stand a chance to win against Falcons then that team would be Tundra though. They won once and I was expecting them to win another one against Falcons. It gets really boring for the pro scene whenever a team really dominate the tournament. XG won the previous tournament against Falcons before this but Im really waiting for the day that a team would knock Falcons out of a tournament
That's true, last time it was Gaimin Gladiators that have been winning these tournaments but it was good that last tournament it was XG that won against them so that's fine. IMHO, it's a seasonal thing when a team dominates the entire year, last year for GG and this time might be for Team Falcons but I see the possible problem here. Most of the teams are going to focus studying their strategies and how they place wards, response into clash and do ganks. With that, when the grander events like Riyadh masters and TI, they are going to fall short. Look at Team Spirit, they're not as good as they are every TI and riyadh masters, they're always falling shortly in tier 1 tournaments or the majors that we're having but, they're taking seriously the bigger tournaments.

match that they've got was seem to be easy for them. It takes experience from them and malrine has already got a few major tournaments that helped him to grow in a short period of time. Ammar the F has also trashtalked pure to go home. Whilst for malrine, he keeps on chatting '))' for every game which is like a smiley whenever he's getting some easy lane and kills. Well, this is bringing hate to them but they're just having fun and it's just an in game trashtalk but in real life, they're all friends that are probably don't like each other anymore when one of their opponents are going to be serious and puts it into their hearts.

Im totally fine with trashtalk though and I really want to watch them bump up the trashtalk to another level lol. Its not enough, lets bump it up and gets everyone mad at the same time lol
Hahaha, not going to that point that I want some street trash talks come in. But these guys are all civil and all of the captions and chats are all for the memes. It's actually fun and adds drama to it, I'm waiting for Ceb to cook both of them but it's not yet the time for that, maybe on the next tournaments.

Congratulations to Team Falcons for winning the ESL One Birmingham. I was even skeptic on them that they're going to win this.

I guess that I am wrong on my assumption that the Team Falcons are the ones that will be triumphant on this ESL.

I can't think of anything more profitable at the moment. Although I don't know in depth the income from online casinos.

However, to create an online casino, you need a lot of investment and be willing to pay for advertising and interact in a forum like this.

I don't intend to have an online casino, I'm more interested in having an e-commerce.

One of the factors that makes me believe this is that there is already a whole audience ready to play in casinos, as they are generally people who bet out of addiction, to make money (or even when they lose, they play just to pass the time). In addition to the fact that there are costs for servers, employees, online attendants, programmers and other costs, unlike physical casinos where the costs are for installations, maintenance, energy and employees and security guards...

Do they make more profit than digital banks, CEX exchanges, etc.?
It depends, the matter here is about having repeat customers. If you have the introduction customers and are only for the bonus and gets out after providing themselves with the bonus, then it's hardly to think about who's more profitable whether it's with the exchanges or the online casinos. Sure, online casinos are profitable as long as you have the stable number of customers and they're all repeat customers. Because if majority of those are new clients or customers, you still need to establish your business relationship with them and that's why satisfaction is one of the reasons why many casinos are being kept back by their customers. There are other online businesses that are profitable like the drop shipping business.

Also, when you are into online casino business the security of the platform is one of the reasons to invest more with it. So, they are not too easy with how their security goes as they hire the best cybersecurity people to protect their funds, their assets and platform from the hackers and any other intruder that are going to ruin their business within a single attack.

I have a friend who is new to sports betting and he asks -
If his bankroll is $100 and he has been told not to use more than 5% of his bankroll per bet, what strategy should he use on this type of bankroll? His question is should he place $5 each on 20 different bets? Or is there a better approach that can be suggested?
If that's a good and safe start for him then yes. He can bet $5 for 20 different bets and it's up to him if he's going to bet that all at once or he'd take time on it like on a daily basis until his $100 runs out or until he meets 20 bets and then calculate how much the gains and losses with that period of time. And making the most of $100 varies for his set of choice in sports so, he should bet only to the games that he's aware of.
That's going to give him a lot of idea on how he's going to spend that for every bet that he's wanna do. Don't bet like others that even they don't know the teams and the sport itself, they're betting on it. YOLO as they say but don't do that if you're a newbie or if you persist and you want to do that as well. You can do it on your own but you have to make sure that you can avail those losses or else you'll get out of sports betting too early and don't want to gamble once again.
