1101  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you play while listening music? on: October 13, 2023, 12:55:25 PM
It depends on my mood, sometimes as I play I have to play some music to make myself set my mood. But sometimes I'm not in my mood and I find playing music annoying. That really depends on how's my day, whether it's good or bad. If I have a tiring day and I want to gamble and that's making me think that I should listen to set the mood then I have to play it before playing. But during the time that I am gambling, I can stop that any moment when I find it annoying and not appealing to my ears. So, it's really random moments when I do it because I'm not sure whether I'd like it when things aren't perfect and had to deal with a lot of things during the day and sometimes the music from the games is more than enough already. And for those that like to listen, always listen to those relaxing ones. Maybe some likes to hear metal music while gambling to make their heartbeat faster.
1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a strategy to lose on: October 13, 2023, 12:33:03 PM
But whatever the choice is it is free to do because we have our own views and we are free to choose whatever we like.
Right on, we all have our free will and choice to make on which we're comfortable to gamble. In which what we think we'll win more and have more odds of winning, we'll go there but remember to do it with moderation.
The important thing in this case is to always stick to what we do and gamble with responsibility regardless of where you end up playing this is the most important thing because even though the desire to win big is always there but we must remember that gambling is ultimately a game to make ourselves satisfied not to make money in it.
As long as we do not violate such things and consider gambling only for games and fun I think wherever you eventually play it will not be a problem.
We hear that at most times it's a game for enjoyment, fun, and entertainment but we also need to embrace the reality that it's really making us aim to win some money. Regardless of that, you can determine what you really are on it because we've got different ideas that are circulating on our minds if it's about gambling and some may agree, some may not and that's okay because that's what it is if it's about gambling. As I've said, as long as there's moderation, that's better.

Isn't gambling a tough business? I can clearly hear you. While spreading your focus across several games can be a tactic, is it the most effective one? Most likely not. Better betting and a greater comprehension of the game are possible when one game is the exclusive focus. Similar to trying to view several movies at once, you miss out on the subtleties and the minutiae. Particularly in games that call for analysis, details are crucial when it comes to gambling

I understand that a major benefit of gambling is entertainment. It's exciting, enjoyable, and, well, entertaining. But, isn't there a line? an edge where enjoyment meets danger. It's usually a good idea to gently remind or nudge someone who has crossed that line. Ultimately, though, it's their decision. Their cash, their chance. They are aware of what awaits them. They are prepared for any eventuality. Just remember: gamble smart, gamble safe
That all makes sense and it's true that you've got the same point as redslash and that's totally fine but there's also the fine line with that about those who are doing it because all they want is cash and win. That can't be removed for most when we hear about gambling but on point is that when someone is going through that point and he's forgetting all of those limitations despite the owner of the money they're gambling. If it's not doing them good anymore, much better to remind them again that they're doomed to fail if they've seen out of control.
1103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a strategy to lose on: October 12, 2023, 11:51:04 PM
When there are gamblers that are dividing their attention into different games, that's because they think that they're good and have the potential to win with most of it. While it's true that it's a strategy to lose it's better if you gamble only one at a time so that you can focus on your bets. It's like multi-tasking and you don't know which is going to be the first one or the second one that you should go on to. And it's not all about luck based on the games you're betting because you know how it goes when you bet for some that require you to do such analysis. Sometimes a gambler does this because of the entertainment that he or she is looking for. When you see one does it, you can give a reminder why it's being done but if not and you've already given the reminder, let them do what they want to do and if they want to bet with everything, that's their money after all and expect that they're willing to lose them all and they're prepared to let it go.

But whatever the choice is it is free to do because we have our own views and we are free to choose whatever we like.
Right on, we all have our free will and choice to make on which we're comfortable to gamble. In which what we think we'll win more and have more odds of winning, we'll go there but remember to do it with moderation.
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: October 12, 2023, 11:22:50 PM
Honestly some people here in my country have the mindset that Cock fighting is a business from them and yes we can not deny the fact that they are earnings thounds or even millions, cause reason of when they are participating a big event then their cock is the  champion then their name is become popular band once it will happen some gambler buy their rooster a big amount of money in order to have the same breeding. Which is the champion will take those opportunity to sell their rooster  even though it's over pricings.
It's actually a business and just like gambling, cockfighting is making a lot of money because a lot of people are hooked on it. That's why they're also capitalizing on the time that they've become a champion and selling their name to the other gamblers and whoever wants to get into this bloody animal sport. The customers will think that they're buying a premium just because the owner is able to make a rooster of his as a champion so, the breeding that he's made from that champion rooster will also be thought to be done to the ones that they're selling. It's a huge market for them but they don't mind anymore the blood, the killing that's happening while watching those.

Logically right, they are using that reason to continue making money out from this gambling, culture yes, but making a wider venue to make money using the technology/internet then it will going to be big, unlike with the traditional gaming, they will need to go to an arena to watch and bet for this gamble, now, they just need to open the internet and go to the site where cockfighting is being catered and bet with the roster that they think will be the winner,.
Technology advances as they're saying that this is a business, they're also coping with the advancement that's happening today. Those that are operating in illegal countries, they'll just do this so that they won't get caught with their operations. But I think if someone tells the authorities that this is happening, the cyber division of that country will be able to trace the roots of their operations.
1105  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of war on global economy. on: October 12, 2023, 10:57:20 PM
Every time there's a sudden shock of war, these commodities increase and I'm not so sure why also the ones that these businesses especially in the oil sector. Despite having that stock that they've bought cheaper than the current price will also have its sudden increase based on the move of the world market. They're all reasoning out that it's because of the world market but the point is, they've bought it even before and those are stock supplies that they're just emptying before restocking and buying the current market price. They're all business folks but they also have to understand that everyone is suffering at these times and they shouldn't just come up with the idea that just because everything has gotten up in prices, they'll also include all of those stocked supplies like oil that has been bought at a fair low price and will be resupplied to their stations and will be sold at a higher value. And as they wait for another price decrease, that's when they will restock through the oil depots and will buy them again a cheaper rate, that's what they've been doing all this time and are just rinsing and repeating while taking all of those profits into their pockets.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Still not a safe practice even if it works on: October 12, 2023, 10:38:31 PM
The using of the vpn in the safe side is not possible one,if the gambler get captured by found of the vpn.The gambling site will ban their account without asking the explanation to the user.Even the gambler used to explain by using the mail to the gambling site, their is no use and not good reply from the gambling site. The account ban for the vpn usage is the punishment to avoid of future user of vpn in the gambling sites
This is only going to happen if the casino restricts the usage of VPNs to their accounts. But if the casino has no problem with that and you accidentally used it then you will not face any penalty and consequences upon usage of it. They may even encourage you to do that if you're asking them nicely and allow you to do it since you have started it already and they've been tracked your activities and that's why depending on the casino that you're having, they may or not allow you to do that so it's best to consult them first if you're ever planning to access them with the use of it.

But in the extreme condition of using vpn where the government had officially bad the gambling sites to their country also the gambling sites saying no to the usage. So how they accept the usage of the normal country.
Really varies to the situation and consideration of theirs. Some may have a meeting first and will ask you to wait for a couple of minutes for them to assess whether they'll allow you or not. If it's fine to them then they'll just put a note to your account through their database or record that you are into this situation and condition and you're given a go signal.
1107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: unlikely notion is unlikely on: October 12, 2023, 07:58:36 PM
I'll be honest: I'm very surprised there are people on this forum that actually believe that that account was really owned and used by Satoshi. Why would someone who wanted to disappear be using social media? Come on, guys, let's be serious Smiley If for any reason Satoshi would go public again, it would be on this forum, that's it.
I agree but maybe they're just trying to believe that satoshi has came back but even with that, we all knew that he's not coming back.

it's not important to continue discussing X account, but for newcomers, don't be influenced by the fact that it's Satoshi's tweet.
That's what probably the account holder trying to do. He/she is trying to influence the newbies in the market and believing that he's actually Satoshi. LOL if Satoshi is still in there as of this moment, he'll probably refute that.

Have you all also forgotten that blue check mark or tag can be bought from Elon Musk making it too difficult for anyone to identify the real Satoshi or not, besides this check mark of a thing is another means to promote scammers because they can go create account and impersonate whom they wanted to, the only thing he cares is the money he is making from Twitter and nothing much.
That blue check mark really means nothing if it's satoshi because anyone can do that. If Elon will just invade the privacy of that account and track who's really behind that account, we'll all know who's trolling the community. But I don't think he'll do that because it could also possibly him.  Tongue
But just as what everyone is thinking, that's Craig possibly behind the ownership of that account.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 12, 2023, 07:26:11 PM
Today I encountered again my biggest nemesis on gambling which is being stuck on my gambling progress. I’ve gambling for multiple days in a row with just having a breakeven on my total bankroll. This due to the game doesn’t gave me any long winning streak and only just more losses. The only thing that makes me keep up on the breakeven side is the increased on wager to recover my losses but my gambling result is literally 1 win to 3 or more losses ratio. This is how bad my overall game.

The only good news is this time I remember how this weakness of mine always makes me lose in the past so I stop already gambling and take a break. This is what I’m trying to share here. If you really feel that your gambling doesn’t want to make you move forward by having decent profit and just giving you a hard time then don’t hesitate to quit! Don’t push forward while you are already playing uncomfortably because this will just make you bet recklessly.
Taking a break is needed for most of the gamblers who can't stop and only see that type of ratio as you've got OP. Sometimes we're too pushy to ourselves thinking that all of those losses can be taken back in less than a day. You can call it quits when it seems not moving at all and you're just having a bad day looking at your stats. And having a breakeven moment still seems to be not working at all because the satisfaction isn't there. What you want to happen is to do more and win more but you can't just do that because the results vary.

Have a break and just gamble newt week or month because a lucky game will make you win easily and not with a very hard to win winning condition.
Or whenever you are ready and think that you can handle the heat as that's giving you the decision-making in a better manner. Unlike before when you don't stop, don't take a rest or break, that's giving you more pressure instead of lighter thinking about whether to proceed or not. Sometimes all it takes is to have a rest for your mind, body, and soul when it seems the results are no longer in line with the plans that you want to have.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The International 12 [Dota 2, eSport] discussion thread on: October 12, 2023, 06:53:25 PM
And it begins!!! Not as hyped as I usually am for TI but its here. The best teams in the world are competing for the aegis of champions!
Entity got 2-0 against EG. While watching the other stream, it is with GG and LGD gaming that's now 1-0 but watching it currently it seems that on the 2nd map it is LGD gaming that's on the lead.

Only 1hr left to start TI! I've already made my group stage predictions in the international compendium. What do you guys think of my picks? Sorry, I'm not a fan of Team Spirit. I believe Azure Ray will take the Aegis in this Tournament! Azure Ray have the solid line up for me; https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Azure_Ray
Azure Ray is a strong team and we all know about that but it's that there are a lot of good teams on this TI so it's hard to decide. But anyway, this is just all about predictions and we're all winners here because this is a long time since we've waited. Forget about the prize pool and let's just all enjoy the games as these are continuous actions until the end of this group stage.

The first game I chose was Team Spirit vs 9Pandas. Congratulations to everyone on the start of TI12  Cheesy
First win for Team Spirit and you've nailed it brother that we're all winners here as it is for everybody who's waiting for this time to come and it had came.
1110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: While Hodling, Don't under estimate the importance of selling. on: October 12, 2023, 06:19:57 PM
It's because they're greedy and they don't want to recognize that moment that they've already made money from holding those meme coins and other coins that don't really have a use case at all. Instead, they have to secure that profit,

Humans are greedy, and I believe that you need to lose some money to understand the value of the money you made in investing, or that you need to witness one of the Bitcoin price cycles where the price rises like crazy, which makes you think why I did not sell at the right time and be prepared when the opportunity comes again after four years.
Yeah, it's human nature and that's why the majority are greedy. But as per experience, many will realize that it has no place in this market because you'll either be greedy and lose everything or be content and then take the profit. You're right that when someone loses money, that gives him a valuable lesson and gives him the thought that he shouldn't be like that because this is a quick market and when you're too slow, especially in the altcoins, you're just about to lose that moment of yours to take profits. And when you miss that opportunity, it will take time again and you'll be spending a lot of time watching your coin to prosper again because you've just wasted that time when that coin was on its high.

The games have started guys, which match are you watching right now? It's hard to decide right now but I am watching the match of EG and Entity.

For the line up of heroes of EG;

  • Invoker - offlane
  • Void Spirit - mid
  • Terrorblade - carry
  • Dark willow - support
  • Lich - support

And for the side of Entity.

  • Puck - mid
  • Naga - carry
  • Chaos Knight - offlane
  • Warlock - support
  • Vengeful Spirit

I'm currently watching ROAD TO TI12: GROUP STAGE - Tundra Esports vs. TSM (BO2).

An offlane Invoker pick seems kind of strange for EG. I've never seen Invoker picked as an offlaner before. However, there's nothing new in the pro scene even Udying from the last TI, has been played as a carry.
EG has late-game heroes. I'm going to pick EG for the late game. Entity has strong early game. My series pick is 2-0 in favor of Entity.
31 minutes of the game and Entity wins the first game. Well, I have never expected that Invoker offlane won't be like this as it looks like it doesn't have any help at all. The game was kind of slow at the beginning and stuck like from the KDA of 3-3 and then Entity just got it all. An illusion lineup with CK + Naga siren which is good and these illusions are all tanky. Even in the late game, I think that the EG will still have a hard time on this one because two carries on the side of Entity so, that offlane CK transitioning to a hitter and gives some help in physical damage to Naga and that's what happened on this match, Entity just opened their group stages with a good win and this gives the confidence to them as I am waiting for the game 2. And with Tundra and TSM, seems like Tundra just won quickly their first game.

1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sustainable Approach For Your Earnings in Gambling on: October 12, 2023, 11:51:58 AM
I don't have a better idea but whatever is good and works for you, that's much better. We've got almost the same approach to budgeting and betting. That should be followed and a must thing for me. Because if I go beyond my budget, that's no longer part of the plan and I just broke my rules. That's a bad thing for me as I have made mistakes in the past and it's all about how I plan things especially when I gamble. That's why, I am stricter these days if it's about the budget that I have set. And if I don't follow that, then it means that I have no credibility for myself and I should be accountable for that. Principles over mistakes and so on, you got to choose what you think should be followed and a must thing not just as a gambler but also an individual that have a strong bond to what you think is wrong and right.
1114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can 1 satoshi be worth $1 in the future? on: October 12, 2023, 11:17:19 AM
The first thing that came to my mind is inflation and reading posts from some of you guys really made it like hyperinflation so I was like wrong on that part because it should be more than the inflation that I was thinking. As per looking at the value of 1 satoshi right now is $0.0002616 USD. So calculating everything is gonna take time until we see it happen. Like what we're saying is that everything is possible and I think that should end there without determining when it could happen. That's the exciting part if there's another economy downfall that will make US and other countries make another initiative to print a lot of money and for sure that many of those supplies will go to Bitcoin. We're just becoming stuck to that part because that's the reality. But looking at the typical and normal cycle of Bitcoin, it is going to take time and hopefully that when it happens, I'm still alive by that time.
1115  Economy / Economics / Re: I don't believe you on: October 12, 2023, 04:52:05 AM
We all learned from the past fiascos from exchanges like FTX, cryptopia, mt.gox, and others. When we deposit into these exchanges, we don't have full custody anymore of the Bitcoins that we deposit there or the altcoins that we deposit there intended to get traded. It is the reason why many of the good folks on this great community keeps on reminding not just the newbies but everyone that if you're about to deposit on any exchanges or any service that will not give you full custody of your coins, you have to remember that deposit the only amount that you're going to use there and not your entire holdings because you'll never know if they're going to be gone or something goes wrong in the process might happen. And for traders, there are a lot of dexes where you just have to connect your wallet to the exchange and you're good. But there's a risk on this one as well if you ever go and connect to an unknown dex.
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Crypto gambling on: October 11, 2023, 09:56:40 PM
Does anyone here really utilize these online crypto casinos to place bets in bitcoin and have you had much luck with it?
It's really random when you're asking about the luck for the games that you'll bet in casinos. Because you can't determine that at the beginning when you're not going to try. But if you do, that will show you how un/lucky you are and you'll only check that out after the results. I guess if it's about my personal luck, we all have the same experience that the ratio would have gotten bad if we wanted to be in favor of winning.

What have you found to give you the best odds in winning?
Choose the games that you're good at like sports betting and you truly know the sport that you are about to bet. Because that's giving you the sense of being responsible for each bet you make and it won't just be random bets. You'll get to check the ins and outs of that game and you'll spend time researching how it is going to be just to make sure that you've got the better odds of winning for that bet.

Is there any skill involved in any of their games or is it all purely chance?
Like most luck games is obvious then you have to choose those games that require you to do analysis or critical thinking. Not just random pulling or pressing that button to give you instant results.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 11, 2023, 09:26:31 PM
At one of the local gambling shop I visited during the weekend I happened to listen to a conversation between two bald looking gamblers at the shop talking about one of their gambling colleague who had won a big amount of money amounting to a million in the local currency and due to that win this colleague of theirs' has been avoiding them since e won that money. From their conversation it was obvious that they were a circle of close three friends that gamble together.

After all I finished with my bet headed home and was asking myself what could the colleague act that way avoiding his close friends they all gambling together and just because luck shines on him first he decides to create a distance and class. I couldn't actually annex a good reason why anyone should do that.
Obviously, it's just about the money that a friend of theirs has avoided them. He doesn't want to share it with them just because he has won a million in their currency. You know these days that life is totally hard and each centavo counts for some. But for that guy who had avoided his friends, it won't hurt him if he treats his close friends with ice cream or some sweets or any cheap food that he's willing to share with them. Anyway, people are really changed by money and that's a sad reality that's happening to us. But who knows if, after this incident, these three will be friends again as that guy alone will have a hard time finding his real friends if they're totally close enough. While we're discussing that it's easy to share if we win a jackpot, we will never know how we'll react in real-time if we're in those shoes. And those who are not selfish will agree that it won't be painful to share a couple of bucks to treat for food or gift to his long-time friends. Or he can just reason out that he's got a lot of obligations to pay and for sure these friends will understand it as there's no need to avoid them.
1118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: While Hodling, Don't under estimate the importance of selling. on: October 11, 2023, 08:28:44 PM
We all know that Crypto is a long term investment but not all. Many people buy memecoins and some other coins with no use case to make money but they listen to influencers and keep holding after making huge profit to later end up at loss. Always remember that these Altcoins cannot continue to go up forever. Selling at profit will surely make you buy more at low price if you believe in the project.
It's because they're greedy and they don't want to recognize that moment that they've already made money from holding those meme coins and other coins that don't really have a use case at all. Instead, they have to secure that profit, they're incurring losses instead and it's a mistake that they'll eventually learn a big lesson. But by the time that they have learned the lesson, it's gonna make them go back to that coin, it's not what they're expecting because the move of that coin's market won't be the same anymore. And that's gonna be an entire loss to them so that's two lessons for them to be learned. Not every coin that had pumped will come back to its former ATH.

Also, selling is important in most cases because its same as taking profit which is risk management, brings peace of mind and lock you in gains..
Selling at the right time also allow you to diversify your portfolio.
Note : This isn't a financial advice but my own strong opinion according to my experience.
The goal is to sell in profit and that's why it should be prioritized by many. But the problem starts with being greedy there are these what-if moments to each and every one of us that stop us from selling in good profits. Those what if times that, what if it keeps going high and what not but then, you see that there's no sense in holding anymore because you're just losing it and you've just missed the entire run because of your greediness. And when you're not aligned anymore with the goal that you have set, you need to remember that you've been there in the first place to make money instead of holding forever.

That's totally fine mate, it's just so exciting to see when you haven't watched for a long time and you see unfamiliar faces when you go back. If you've seen the performances of Team Liquid for this year prior to TI, they always been a 2nd finisher and always lose to Gaimin Gladiators but maybe this time they'll come back stronger.

I tried getting back into Dota 2 myself a few months back but so much has changed, it is so hard to keep up! It felt so much easier back in the day. Also i still remember the finals from Ti 3 with NaVi vs Alliance, now that was a GLORIOUS finals.
When looking at all of the rosters i still know some of the guys but not many.
That's okay bro if you're having a hard time keeping up. What you can do is just enjoy your coming back and tune out the actions that will happen on this TI. And now that you've mentioned TI 3, a lot of flashbacks just happened and yeah that you're still that far to keep up with the recent changes but that's okay. As long as you know Dota 2, you've played it, you've watched it before, and there's nothing hard for you to keep up with the changes and updates. From the past years, there have been a lot of retirees already but we still have the best oldies that are still in the competitive scene and playing until now.

Also pretty sad that Team Secret didnt make it, broke Puppeys streak of TI runs
That's the first time in history and everybody is sad that he didn't make it. But that's fine as he has achieved a lot already and hopefully that this isn't a sign that Puppey will get that opinion from the community that he should retire or transition from being a position 5 player into a coach.
1120  Economy / Economics / Re: Help me analyze the feasibility of this business idea on: October 11, 2023, 07:20:22 PM
You can do them at the same time but it's better to initiate with any of those plans first and do it accordingly. Don't think about the competition and just execute any of that plan and let yourself handle it when you're already there. These worries will stop you from executing any of these plans and might just let you stuck to the thinking that you shouldn't do any of it. But if you do really like to teach, there are companies that allow you to do that part-time and while you're establishing that institute, you can do a step-by-step procedure until you establish the other.
At the end of it, this is the main point. You'll never know the result of any of them if you're not going to try it. In teaching, you don't know what's waiting for you and the people that you'll meet might have connections to help you pursue your #2 plan and the same goes for that 2nd plan of yours.
