121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: January 02, 2024, 10:56:58 AM
As growing up, the best example always from the people that surround you, first thing is the parent who are showing what business are they dealing in their everyday life, if the child keep on seeing that they are open from playing and they are enjoying or they are okay with what they are involve with, there's always that chance that the same thing the kids will follow.

If you want to be a responsible parent, it's always best to keep your children away from the things that you understand which possible to ruin their lives, unless you have that full time to guide them when worse comes when they already involve into gambling, which is for sure you don't as there are more things in life that you needed to take care of.

We have so many gambling casino representatives here. Did they ruined any forum members life? Is there anyone here who has a relative or close friend whos life was ruined by gambling? Or our experience of "gambling ruin lives", "gambling is bad" is build on articles, video stories or movies? If a kid is easily addicted to things, it is easy to influence on him, then gambling yes, can be dangerous for him and it is advisable not to gamble in front of such kids. But he can similar be addicted to fast foot, smoking, drinking, overeating, overspending money. Solution to whole problem of this topic is easy - know your kid.

Gambling can really ruin lives. I know a few people who were acquaintances who are addicted to gambling and thus ruined their life. It may be a hearsay to you, but it's really happening. Gambling addiction and consequences are real. If you don't believe it because it hasn't happen to you or to anyone you know of, then consider yourself lucky. Because no sane person would want to experience the harsh repercussions of gambling dependency such as having financial debts, ruined relationship with loved ones, and having bad credit history due to mismanagement of funds.

I've also read many confessions about their gambling addiction and how it destroyed their lives in different instances. There were people also asking for help and advices on how to combat it and how to quit successfully. There's more to it than you think. Although these things aren't developed overnight, so it's most of the time a you-error. And if you don't want this to happen to your kids or to your nephews or nieces, then you should at least do not let them be involved in gambling and tell them the cons of it once they reach a certain age to distinguish whether it's worth the risk or not.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Buying More Tickets To Increase Your chances on: January 02, 2024, 09:59:41 AM
Based on my observations back then when my father was still actively betting in lottery, he tends to bet for 2 number combination whenever he gets the news that the winning prize skyrocketed. One number combination included the numbers he is 'taking care of' which were our birth dates, and the other one just a random number combination which he felt like betting on. And that became his tradition way back which for me, is a waste of money, time, and effort since he'll always go to lottery ticketing shop after work which could be alloted for relaxing at home instead. But I can't really blame him and force him my beliefs since after all, it's his money, and he knows what he's doing.

Having numerous entries will certainly increase your winning chances, however, it will only do so little considering the number of combinations there is in order to win the jackpot prize. It's really just pure luck when it comes to lottery.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: January 01, 2024, 03:52:47 PM
There's really no safer platform when it comes to gambling especially if the person is addicted or dependent in it. Whether online or offline, people who want to bet and play will find a way to access the casino games to satisfy his urge. Although for sure, accessibility also plays a role, but it isn't the sole determinant of the decision of the player to either play or do other things. Losing and winning isn't also much dependent on the setting, unless you are much more inclined in doing the one over the other which dictates your comfortability and mood that could possibly set how you play. In the end, it all boils in discipline. On how you will behave in online and offline scenarios. Because some of the factors that can lead you to gamble more on offline can be used online too and vice-versa.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich, average or poor. Who loses more? on: January 01, 2024, 01:59:05 PM
There is no standard to measure which class of gamblers loses more or profits more among rich, middle class, and poor gamblers. However, once the middle class and lower class lose in gambling, their mentality changes a lot because they don't have the courage to gamble again after losing a huge amount of money. But the elites do not become mentally broken even if they lose repeatedly in gambling but they do not hesitate to bet again to get profit even if they lose more than once. That's why the rich are more likely to profit from betting than the middle and lower classes.

Indeed. Social class won't determine the number of losses, the total funds lost, and the total profit a gambler can make. It really depends on the person's strategy, skills, known information, funds at stake, and luck. So it will really vary. Some people who are excessively gambling regardless of the social status will definitely lose more because of impulsive and irresponsible gambling habits. Meanwhile, those who are disciplined and have control in gambling expenditures will lose less because they can fight their urge to nonchalantly burn their money.
125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It will save your capital more than you can imagine on: December 30, 2023, 04:37:20 PM
This will depends on how you're confident about your technical analysis and what kind of position you entered in trading.

Though in general, I definitely agree that you need to cut losses in order to prevent your capital from being liquidated too much. Receiving a love letter from your exchanger is pretty depressing and frustrating especially if you're a newbie and chasing your losses instead of stopping for a while and do some research about what you did wrong.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: December 30, 2023, 02:59:54 PM
Everyone stay away from gambling game then you all will be happy and happy Gambling game is very bad which will harm your family a lot and will also harm your life like my father gambling ruined my father's life and also my future is dark now I am now  I came back to this bitcoin to find light in my life in this darkness you all help me shine.

I feel sorry that your family has to go through this, your father, unfortunately, cannot control his gambling addiction and because of this it causes misfortune to your family, but you don't have to give up now, just learned from your father mistake and be a better person, gambling is not for the weak unfortunately your father cannot control your addiction, so this is a big lesson for you and for your love ones you still have a chance since you're still young and have a good future ahead, don't make the same mistake your father did.

It really depends on the person's discipline and sense of responsibility. Some people do not really have the discipline that's why they keep on gambling even though there's no direction and projected positive outcome for them. Which results to being dependent and addicted in gambling and even ruining other people's lives just like what happened to Mst.wagdan$.

I hope you take this challenge as a lesson for you to do better in life. Your father's mistakes do not define you or how your life will turn out to be in the next few years. You can change your path to be the best version of yourself by being responsible in everything that you will do especially in making heavy decisions in life.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: December 30, 2023, 01:57:43 PM
It's not really other people's responsibility to tiptoe around someone who is experiencing their lowest of lows. But it could really help if people would be mindful about what they are posting online and sharing in personal. It would depend on the reader and the receiver of the message if he or she will take it as an inspiration to do better or to continue gambling impulsively because of the possible benefits.

Putting the disclaimer such as the benefits and the disadvantages in your story will definitely play a part to let people know that you didn't success just because of pure luck. It comes with skills and strategies too. Letting them be aware of the hard work you put into it as well as the consequences might let them think twice before gambling. In this case it could make your story a good basis to weigh their choices on either joining or not.
128  Economy / Economics / Re: How to survive hyperinflation? on: December 30, 2023, 12:34:39 PM
In my case, I don't overspend my money on the things that I only wanted, I always prioritize my needs.

Investing in cryptocurrency or stocks won't help you either, because the market is very unpredictable. I believe investing your money in a small business is much better if you wanted to earn profit daily, because investing in cryptocurrency is good for the long run, not in risking it for short term investment to survive hyperinflation. Just make sure that the business you're going to put up is very high in demand, like selling basic necessities in home, food is the number one on the list.
129  Economy / Economics / Re: The steps to follow in creating a budget on: December 30, 2023, 11:33:05 AM
A very good list of advice you got.

Budgeting is very important, especially if you have your own family, to avoid spending it on unnecessary things. What I mean by unnecessary things are those things that we only wanted, which would not benefit anything in your household. It also help for us not to overspend it, and to visualize how much we should spend and how much we could save.

Budgeting should be practice as early as possible, to save money and spend it on things that would benefit us in the long run.
130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrencies without investment? on: December 30, 2023, 10:41:27 AM
I'm just a newbie and I don't have other opportunities to make money irl because of my place of living and age. I tried already bounties and airdrops, but I'm not lucky in it. Thanks for your advices!!!

That's gonna be a hard one.

If you're not legal yet to work, I suggest finish your study if you're still studying and look for a job to earn money. But if you're not studying because your parents can't afford to send you to school, then waiting for the right age to work is your only hope, especially if the law in your place don't tolerate child labor, even the side hustles job.

It's a waiting game, and probably you're gonna get bored and overthink a lot of things like missing the opportunities to buy Bitcoin or other crypto, but being patient is your only hope.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally I did it (I am happy to join). on: December 29, 2023, 01:39:40 PM
What a nice gift for yourself before this year ends OP.

Just make sure you stored it in a wallet where you have your own private keys. Don't put it in a certain exchange platform for too long if you're not going to use it in trading. Also, don't let anyone else see or copy your private keys, because they might steal it and you'll regret it when that happens (let's hope not). Avoid panic selling and being FOMO. Good luck on your cryptocurrency journey.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Attack on Bitcoin’ Claims Circulate as Transaction Fees Climb Higher on: December 29, 2023, 11:22:38 AM
it doesn't matter who is responsible for the attack and what types of transactions are flooding the blockchain... someone is paying for this.
Transactions are vitamins to keep the network lively. People who are readily to pay those expensive transaction fees deserve what they do but it affects other people who are not ready to accept very expensive transaction fee. They are either smart enough or poor enough and can not afford to pay such crazy fee.

Quote
so you have 60 000$ per 10 min = 9 mln $ per day. No matter if its bitcoin attacker that wanted the price to collapse, or pepe kids excited about new use case, sooner or later they will run out of cash. And there will be only one winner. bitcoin miners = bitcoin security = bitcoin network
I don't like what are happening with Bitcoin blockchain and its transaction fee but this attack gives us a signal that Bitcoin miners will be fine in future. Even in 2140 when no new bitcoins from block reward, they will still earn enough money from transaction fees.

Correct.

I mean, there's nothing wrong to give miners profit from time to time since they also deserve it. We just have to make every transaction worth the transaction fee so we can save money as much as possible. It's not worth it to transfer bitcoin to another wallet in which transaction fee is much bigger than the amount of bitcoin that's going to be transfer.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we all learnt this 2023 on: December 29, 2023, 10:24:23 AM
I agree.

Though, having some insights from other sources is not that bad because it can help you to broaden up the possiblity of a certain coin, either it's good to short or long, something like that. Totally relying to others technical analysis and fundamentals is not a good thing though, there's no growth their, since you're like a parasite living through a host, without it, you're nothing.

For me, an independent trader will always make good profits in the long run, even though losses can't be avoided in the process of enhancing skills in trading.
134  Economy / Economics / Re: Why must you used such money to purchased a car? on: December 28, 2023, 12:50:26 PM
Why bother to regret what your friend did if he has the money to buy whatever car he wanted.

If you're regretting the fact that if it was you who has $28M and you would've spent it on bitcoin and Ethereum, then start earning your own money so you can afford what your friend can afford. It looks like you're jealous about your friend's new car while you're in your room spouting words about him that he should've done better, like giving you that $28M and invested it in cryptocurrency.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: December 28, 2023, 05:54:25 AM
Taking a loan from any local banks needs a lot of legal documents, especially you need to have a job that is qualify for their loan. Banks won't give you anything unless they can verify that your job and your other background information can pay the interest of the loan you're going to take, if not, they will simply reject your loan application for them.

Because it doesn't make any sense on how they will give you the loan if you can't pay its interest, you're just going to be broke or might end up losing some of your properties just to settle down the loan.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: December 27, 2023, 03:10:29 PM
       -   It is not right to pile up or pass on our gambling losses to other people. You should know from the beginning how much the amount you will lose here should be, so that at least in this matter we can teach ourselves how to gamble responsibly.

Maybe gamblers sometimes feel the feeling of blaming their friends. especially those who gamble or bet from friends' suggestions. and the results are not as expected.
However, what is being played is our money, so if you bet based on a friend's suggestion, it is still our money that will be lost if you lose. so do it yourself with your money or gamble alone, not with your friends, even though it is an online game.

It's not right to point fingers to others when you hold the last decision whether to bet or not to. If you were influenced by their suggestion, then it turns out to be a bad advice, just take it from there as a learning lesson for you. Think that you paid for that lesson and do better next time by doing your own research and not basing what you will do, to what others told you. After all, it's not as if they hold a gun against your temple to make you bet for what they have said. If no one forced you, then you are liable for it.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risk management and responsible gaming on: December 27, 2023, 12:12:39 PM

Maybe they think that the government allowing gambling will make many people interested in gambling. Moreover, they can win some money from gambling, making them continue to gamble. But actually, playing gambling or staying away from gambling is each person's responsibility. The same as smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages. We already know the dangers of all of this, so we should be able to stay away from it or choose to use it but with limits.

Yes, we should know about limits and use gambling as entertainment. Otherwise, we will suffer losses because we have lost money playing gambling. And we are actually to blame because we have gambled excessively even though gambling is a pleasure that we are not obliged to do. If we gamble within limits, there would not be any problems that would happen to us.

If ever the government will ban gambling, people who want to gamble will eventually find a way to access gambling sites and casinos. They will just be creative in accessing those without the authorities ever finding out about it. People are stubborn especially if they are really that interested and hooked up in betting and playing, they will find ways regardless. It's not as if it will really solve the problem by prohibiting people,  it could only be a band-aid solution while the dependency in addiction haven't been addressed yet.

Indeed, gambling is someone's responsibility and not anyone else's. If they don't want to suffer the consequences, then they must do themselves a favor of not spending too much time and money in it. Addiction doesn't just occur instantly, it is a bad habit built over time. So staying away and choosing yourself  and your sanity will  save you from it. Limiting the engagement by not feeding your thirst to it will prevent you from being addicted.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: December 27, 2023, 11:24:12 AM
If you are gambling for fun alone and not for profit, then it's possible that you can still have entertainment despite losing some. Although for sure disappointment will be felt along the way. But you can easily shrug it off because you don't mind about it so much unlike other people. It will just be a bonus and a reward if you will win. And of course, the joy will be unmeasurable if you will win in betting. Feeling ecstatic because of winning will hit different. After all, who wouldn't want to win if there's a chance right?

Gambling will be fun and satisfying if you got in because you just want to release your stress and achieve cheap dopamine by just betting and playing, regardless of the outcome.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours is the best time for a gambler to last while gambling? on: December 27, 2023, 09:42:46 AM
Well, this depends entirely on you, your discipline, and your time allotment for each task you have in a day. If you are a working person, it's best to limit your gambling time to a duration where you can enjoy, relax, have fun, and maybe profit on the side without spending more than an hour or two. This is because your job alone is exhausting, probably the commute or travel to and fro your house to office. An hour or two playing and betting, in my opinion is already enough to de-stress and to reward yourself for doing  good job for the day. With this, you can still allot some of your time in doing and helping to some house chores. Probably play with your kids or pets. Or if you don't have one, talking to your spouse or parents about your day. And if you don't have one because you live alone, you can do something more valuable to your spare time such as alloting it to your side hustles.

There's no specific time because it will totally depend on you and your circumstances, but it shouldn't be too much to the point that you will disregard your responsibilities just to play.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Gambling Affiliate Program Problem on: December 26, 2023, 03:35:37 PM
Hi Everyone,  Smiley

I have an online gambling related question. I don't know if this is the right place to post such a question, so I'm sorry if I posted in the incorrect forum.

I'm a Gambling Affiliate and something is bothering for some time. In most of the casino affiliate programs that I registered to, I can make a little amount of money or nothing at all. Did anybody encountered a similar problem?

Thanks,
Idan
Yeah I was on the same shoes as well mate, I was also an online casino affiliate few years back and it makes me earn few dollars through commisions. Since I am a type of guy that has no talent in encouraging everyone to jump-in like sharing my affiliate links on social media, the result was boring and it made me quit.

I guess it really varies on what's your personality type and what you prefer doing. It's really draining and tiring to do things that you don't really like just for the sake of doing it for money. It will exhaust you if you find no reason to love what you are doing and it will become just a chore to you instead of fulfilling you. If you are introvert, affiliate programs might drain your energy because it involves marketing to different people and encouraging them to use your link or code to earn a small commission. If you are not fun of small talks to encourage one to join, it might not be suitable for you and eventually will make you quit. Hopefully though, you already found out which path to take and is happy and peaceful with it.
