Different countries, different economy which might affect the price of foods that are available. Here in my country, the average price of food per person is like $1 per meal, that's only street food meals we called "karinderya". But if you'll go to a restaurant, average price for them is like $2-$3 or even more depends on how fancy the restaurant is.

I would prefer weekly payment, so that I could save early and I can easily set a budget for everything per week. Also the other reason is that just in case some emergency happens and I needed the money, I will not borrow from my friends or the last choice would be in bank that will just give me another problem because of the interest.
