1221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: December 17, 2016, 12:58:00 PM
I don't think it has got big disadvantages, has some disadvantages which has been overcome by its advantages. One among them is the decentralization, people misunderstands and stay away but with its success in very short period has got the trust similar to a centralized system and continues with its advantageous increased price which no other currency has got.

How about sometimes a lot of transactions are unconfirmed at the same time? Even they are paying the right miners fee. As far as I know, it went up to 3,000 transactions that are being unconfirmed and that is one of the biggest advantage of bitcoin. Even it didn't happened to me, but I know those people are pissed off for waiting their transactions for so many hours/days.

2000-3000 unconfirmed transaction is the normal number of transactions in the mempool, they exist because there are new transactions are being created every second and blocks are mined every 10 minutes on average.

what you think you are saying was a couple of rare cases that lasted a couple of days and number of unconfirmed transactions were more than 60K at some point. you can see the charts on blockchain.info
1222  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1000+ is anytime now on: December 15, 2016, 12:55:53 PM
Im starting to think we'll see it before Christmas.

do you actually have a reason for your speculation or did you see it in your magical future ball?

because to be honest i don't see any logical reason for a $230 rise in 15 days! and history also agrees with me.
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone please help me to understand the shitcoin pump and dump... on: December 15, 2016, 12:50:02 PM
the coins don't necessarily have to be shit. pumpers will descend on anything they can get their hands on. there are some interesting projects which have been just as pumped as the absolute junk.

yeah but what OP is talking about here is the real shitcoins, because that is strange.
when any other coin is pumped you can understand why it is happening, and other people will surely join in the pump too because there actually is something to that coin.

but with a shitcoin there is nothing apart from the same code with a different name and there is no reason for the rise.
1224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it Sports Betting is better than other type of gambling? on: December 15, 2016, 12:40:50 PM
Because in sports betting you can minimize the chance of losing from it. You can predict who will win by analyzing the opinions of sports analysts and also the odds of it. If you always watch sports you will know the strengths and weaknesses of that team or player and easily predict who will win the game.
That is not true all the time, you cannot minimize your profit because it's about a game of chance. In sports betting you will only get more enjoyment if you love sports but non other than. Our chances will always be equal and we can only take advantage if we are a good sports handicapper and we know how to manage our bankroll properly.

i am agree with this, if we don't like that sports, then i think its useless for us to make a bet, because we only getting loss so fast without knowing what is happen. at least we have to like one type of sports like football and we have favorite teams and we follow any info of them, this should be our guide when want to make a bet so we can make sports betting is better for us than we are playing the other gambling games.

yeah liking the sport and the match specifically is going to help a lot with winning but you don't necessarily need any of these things to win. for example if you have no knowledge of boxing, you can still study the opponents, ask others and make an informed bet on who is going to win and have a better chance but never like boxing at all.
1225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to win gambling with no lose? on: December 15, 2016, 12:35:44 PM
Theres no such thing playing gambling without anything losing. Ofcourse when you play gambling theres always a risk that you could lose but still you can get it back if youre gonna win and doubled your bankroll. When im playing gambling when im winning my greediness begins to increasing thats the reason im losing thats why you must have self control.

when you think about your stats overall in a long time period then there is such thing as not losing. because for example 1 loss in 5 wins doesn't matter because you are still 4 wins ahead. and that is what matters not single bets.
and in case your overall statistics are bad maybe you should start thinking about changing your strategy to improve it.
1226  Economy / Gambling / Re: Powercoin lottery on: December 15, 2016, 12:31:25 PM
lottery games are bad enough on their own and people don't trust those with a decent website and a decent owner. now this one is just a one line announcement of an empty domain with nothing inside! and a brand new member is promoting it!

can one person be lazier than this Cheesy
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -----SCAM ALERT, 99.9% of coins below this line are scams------ on: December 13, 2016, 12:46:08 PM
Just stick to BTC, LTC is as scammy as they come. It is the original alt scam.

an altcoin is called scam when there is a big amount of premine, a big ICO, and a coin that has 1 or two developers who are shady and are doing some shady things. and generally when they are out to fill their pockets only by pumping their coin and dumping their premine and ICO coin.

i am not saying litecoin is the best thing, it obviously has problems but LTC falls under none of these categories.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much worth that coin? mixx of zcash, pos and on eth platform!? on: December 13, 2016, 12:41:24 PM
it sounds good. but sounding good and being good are two completely different things.

and generally i always stay away from coins that i see most on this forum because it means these coins are hyped up and are getting dumped really hard.
but that's just my strategy.
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: December 13, 2016, 12:35:18 PM
Gambling is a game of odds so there is no safe way. It also depends on luck.

There is no safe way to guarantee a win but there is a method (safe way) to minimize the lost.  I agree that gambling is a game of chance but the decision on how he approach is still on the player.  Player may have no control over the result but he has control on his bet Cheesy

If any player know how to control on his emotion than he can play with better approach towards particular game, so that I also agreed with you so hard and it's impossible to make profit just for our desire, gambling will remain risky always.

controlling your emotions in gambling is just the start towards a better result in your games but not the end game.
if you want a better series of results you need a good strategy and in many games like sports betting or poker you need a lot of experience to win and controlling emotions comes after this step.
1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: December 13, 2016, 12:29:12 PM
I've read here a lot about "Gambling doesn't make you rich" So I thought about it, and it does make sense. So what do you feel about gambling then? Just entertainment? I think that's not everybody's mindset.

everyone who is gambling is either doing it for money in the start and then figures it out so switches to gambling for entertainment.
or they are doing it for money and they never realize it until they are broke and give up gambling for good.

Quote
In the back of my mind, I want to be rich but not because of gambling. But when I gamble, I still always want to win. So when you always win, you become more rich and more risk will be involved. Anyway, if I would earn a winning bet that would have a lot of profit from, I would withdraw the initial bet or the bitcoins I deposited to get it back, then still gamble.

If you would have a winning bet that would give you a lot of profit, what would you do with it?

i think it mainly depends on the amount of winning. for example if i win the lottery (a couple of million dollar) then i would buy a house because i need it bad Cheesy
but if it is small amount i am going to buy something nice and enjoy the winning.
1231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever exchanged BTC face to face? on: December 13, 2016, 12:24:53 PM
I've been using BTC for a while. I've been using it at exchanges, to trade altcoins and to order goods over the Internet, but I've never exchanged BTC with someone in front of me. At a store or between friends, or family. This despite having had long conversations about BTC with various kinds of people, and attending a few meetups.

Who has exchanged BTC F2F?

i have never exchanged bitcoin face to face but i have given away bitcoin face to face before. i have already made 3 of my friends start using bitcoin and in the beginning i started them off by making a new wallet for them and then sending some bitcoin to help them get started and learn.
1232  Economy / Speculation / Re: All it's going to take is ONE user-friendly, practical App on: December 12, 2016, 03:32:40 PM
Real naive considering how popular Pokermon Go got.... Obviously you underestimate the effects of viral marketing on speculative bubbles. And how is the dark web going to make Bitcoin popular when the bulk of the population is against illegal activities. Doesn't make any sense.

we need something real that everyone would want, unlike Pokemon.
something like Amazon with bitcoin or even some stuff in the grey area like darknet,...

i was so hopeful about Openbazaar when i first heard about it and i thought it can make a big difference but honestly i am a bit disappointment right now in Openbazaar!
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: i bought 1000eth when 12$ .buy or sell now? what's the future? price is 6$ !! on: December 12, 2016, 03:20:27 PM
it's a firm pumper favorite. no reason why it shouldn't go back to $12. No reason why it shouldn't be $1.20 either. you're in their hands. i think there's enough vested interests to see some more action in the future. it's not as if it's gonna fade away.
I quite agree wit you ETH was rising rapidly as pumper favorite but the attack twice have taken the win out of its sail and that momentum is no longer there, however it is not a dead coin yet. You can wait it out or perhaps channel the coins to vdice which got some prospect.

A lesson to note from tat is never to buy and old any coin tat is pumped, better to o wit te flow if you must,

the attack, whatever you may have in mind (since there were a couple of them) was effective for sure but the reason why price is going down is because it is the natural order of things in altcoins and in every pump and dump.

and it is not dead in the waters "yet" because it is a big project and lots of money have gone into it, that takes a long time to get out.
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: December 12, 2016, 03:15:51 PM
It depends on the situation ,when I already win doubled of my first money. I withdraw my money and left my winnings for another round of games then will withdraw some if I think its already half or double of my initial then it goes and goes until I reach the limits of winning I set before playing.
So basically you are playing for profit, what you've mentioned is your technique in gambling and we do have different techniques with only one aim which is to win. Actually, we are the only one who can determine if our technique is effective because even if it works to others it might not work to us.
We are in gambling where when aiming for money is not easy but only losing is easy so we better accept it and have fun.

and technically speaking we are the only one who can make a techniques for ourselves when it comes to gambling and these techniques will surely don't work perfectly very often even if it's set by yourself. by the way you are right we are all aiming with only one thing which is actually to win and having fun with gambling is not always prevailed .

All we get in the gambling is something that does not have the nature of luck!! . Because in gambling we must use a strategy and in our strategy should always be required to amend or replace the pattern every time, for if we always use patterns (strategy) that is the same then it's just going to make getting a great loss. You're absolutely right, that a strategy must be done the right way and didn't have to use anything the same. Actually make that strategy easier just that we have to figure out how the gambling game flow

Well as my self we cant figure out the flow of dice games because of its complex algorithm and we know that it is random unless it is really manipulated by someone then you could assure this time that you could won. But as my self ive been long in gambling its just strategy and how it feel. I feel something wrong then i stop.
Why would bother regarding on dice sites provably fair system regarding on the hashes and algorithms? Its just useless unless if you are a programmer or developer you could really able to make some investigations but for regular gamblers they would not really bother for sure. Feeling or instincts does really help sometimes.
Playing with profit is always happening for most gamblers.

There is indeed no point in looking at those provably fair systems. It's actually not probably fair it's actually unfair if you ask me. There have been quite a lot of rumors that casinos are rigging their systems. Even if you can check the provably fair seeds and whatever those are. A regular person will not understand it and they will just see a fair game. But deep into the system they say that that servers can detect the seed of the client and can cheat it.

well if you don't understand how "provably fair" system works that is an entirely different story. you can not assume the casino is unfair just because you don't understand what hashes mean and how they related to casino being fair!
1235  Economy / Speculation / Re: 778 resistance broken, 779 hit, time to fly!! on: December 12, 2016, 02:36:25 PM
i am always happy to see a rise in bitcoin but this seems to be a temporary up and down fluctuation that has been happening for a couple of weeks now with an overall rise. which means the bottom is slowly shifting up and the high is also going a bit higher each time.

but i hope to wake up tomorrow to a $800 price!

lateral uptrend.

my English is a bit rusty, is "lateral" correct word here?
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control emotion when you are on crucial part of gambling? on: December 12, 2016, 02:30:28 PM
Hello, i have some problem when i play dice game and i'm on betting higher amount to cover my losses, this is always the part where i'm always feel excited and nervous whenever i click roll. My heart is always beating fast and always resulting to out of control to my betting. I just want to know on how you manage on betting without feeling nervous.

i think you need a break from gambling because you are headed down a dark path and only big losses are awaiting you at the end of this line. just take a break and rest while accumulating some bitcoin free of risk and think about your emotions and try to make them stronger.
and then in gambling you need to limit your funds for it so that you don't have more than you can afford to lose.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why don't play in our game? on: December 12, 2016, 02:18:10 PM
because these types of games are not that much interesting for players around the world to participate in, or at least that is my opinion. most people would prefer actual trading instead of this kind of gambling if they could work with the price and make any kind of speculation.
1238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: cold storage on: December 12, 2016, 02:07:08 PM
if you are looking for a decent level of security then choose one of the links above to cold storage such as hardware wallet or paper but if you are paranoid that some people may be, you can make the private keys manually (by hand or in other words with pen and paper) for that you need a 16 sided dice to roll and get a 100% offline no computer generated random number! and pen and paper to write it down and convert it to a private key Cheesy
1239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's be honest, how many of you here actaully read the whitepaper? on: December 12, 2016, 02:02:56 PM
bitcoin whitepaper was one of the first things that i have read back in the days i was a newbie in bitcoin and was getting to know it all better. it is not the most informative thing to read though!

i prefer to read the bitcoin wiki for a more detailed information about bitcoin.
1240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we start new year in $800+ or remain in $700+ on: December 10, 2016, 04:26:13 PM
We'll be close to $1000 by 31st of Dec.

So before the end of the year $800 per 1 btc will be there i think.
And soon  early quarter one 2017 will reach it thousand of that..

from what i have been seeing i can say there is a pump coming very soon and market is very ready for it but it won't be to $1000 and anything fancy like that but there will be a rise, most probably to $810 ish
