Just a reminder to all the Diamond community, none of the devs here are paid we do this out of love for the coin and working to make it a success. Popshot has posted the long term goals (and some have not been revealed yet), so stick with us and donate to us OK had my breakfast and now starting work on the Getting Started page on my server. There may be a few disconnects (usually only a second or two as I restart pool) And vardiff will reset for your miner till a couple shares are received, vardiff retarget time is relativly fast On a positive note regarding re-starts, payouts get run and payout timer gets reset so you might get multiple payouts today Anyone having problems with difficulty level (and low hashrate on their miner) the pool allows 15 minutes for a share submission from your miner before vardiff gets reset to initial starting value due to timeout. I know this is frustrating at your end and I have had no success with CPU mining, use a GPU, I suggest a minimum of 750ti or a decently fast Radeon HD series. A FAQ is on the list of work to do on my pool and a lot of answers to frequent problems will be there OK back to work We all appreciate it, at least I do. Keep up the great work.

Can you even get into Cryptsy right now? It's been down for me for over 2 hours.....
I've had no problems logging in, but haven't tried today. Pulled out a lot of my funds as my gut was telling me that something is just not right there.

We still have to see if it holds 500. I'd really like some discounted purchases, I think 470 is a good target. 440 would be a fantastic opportunity to load up!

Why don't you upload some images in the Op? Would be interested to see some that I don't have to download.

Wow, impressive that you got your starting bid! This is pretty cool though :-)

Thanks!
Bidding ends tomorrow night :-)

New Windows Client is ready for download - This is a mandatory upgrade as there will be a fork in the code to implement DGW3 at block 1600000! Check the OP for the link. We will be doing two contests in the next few days. The first will start tomorrow and have something to do with Twitter... It may be a good idea to follow @Emerald_Crypto today. Full rules and details coming tomorrow. The next contest will be sometime next week. This contest will be produced by GWCalvert. As you may know, I am a writer. I'm planning a book on cryptocurrencies and need some stories from people about their experiences. These stories can be tales of: scams, successes, failures, etc. I need a little bit of everything to show the broad scope of crypto experiences. Humorous experiences are always welcomed. Basically, what I will be looking for is for the entrants to post their story to a blog or create a video and post it to YouTube. They will then provide a link to their tale on contest thread at one of my personal websites along with their EMD wallet addy. I haven't determined how much each story will receive; but all submissions will get something regardless of if I use it in the book or not. Full details and payouts will be available sometime next week... when I have time to sit and further think about it. Interesting, we all have a lot stories.

With only 42 coins, what's the point?
Exactly. Without hype and uses the limited amount of coins basically means that it is dead coin hashing right now. There are seriously interesting alts out there, not sure why this coin is zombieing along!

AKA BITCOIN 2014 Thanks for the laugh! I do believe we are at least headed into the high 400s!

Kind of disappointed that 525 seems to have held for now at least. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what the short term setup we have now is. Any thoughts on the price action?

Say I made my own crypto and mined it 100% or near enough not to matter. The fact that it is pre-mined is beside the point.
My question is:
How secure would a 100% (or near enough) mined coin be and could it become victim to a malicious attack to fork the coin?
What I'd like to understand is how secure could this coin be or how easily could it be compromised by a malicious entity.
And if it is insecure and vulnerable, how has this been addressed?
Would a sole proof of stake coin solve this problem?
Please also note that it is fine for this coin to be totally centralised at say one or more physical locations acting as super nodes.
Thanks in advance fellas.

Certainly has potential, but why on earth didn't you sell it for 58k?

I didn't realize until I got the coin that it is Captain Picard on the back. Haha yes, I couldn't resist putting a facepalm on there!

Is this the end game? Government fiat-crypto for all...
