1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 27, 2022, 08:22:02 PM
Arsenal didn’t finished good finished last season. They have been outed of top 4.But this they are still staying number one in EPL point table. Arsenal have good signed player like Jesus,Saka both are great player i think for Arsenal. I think Arsenal can beat any tean In ELL this season. But they need to more focus on their game and they need to more improving team combination.
If you ask me that was a "good" finish for them considering how terrible they started. I agree that they finished very well and then they kept that up and doing great now, saw the problems in the team and then added players there for good measure and doing very well so far.

It's clear that they weren't champions, nor in top 4, but they were really giving the whole league a trouble by the second half of the season, and this season they have been doing very well and consistently as well. I can't say if they will keep this up or not, but would you rather be an Arsenal fan or a Liverpool fan this year? And was the answer the same for the past 5 years? That means they are growing and becoming better.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 26, 2022, 03:54:23 PM
I think it's not that Dortmund don't want to be champions in the Bundesliga. more precisely, Dortmund does not target to be champions in the Bundesliga. why, because Dortmund's business model makes it difficult to win titles. Borussia Dortmund, member of the German Bundesliga. not just a club, but a factory of football players. they are experts at finding and acquiring young talent, shaping them into world-class players and selling them.

Dorrmund's management made a fortune, which left it independent of ticket sales and sponsorships. and we have seen how Dortmund profited a lot from selling their young talents. for example, Christian Pulisi, Ousmane Dembele, both wore club shirts, impressed in one or two seasons, and were sold.

Likewise with Jadon Sancho who received a high transfer price, then Erlind Haaland who went to Manchester City, and currently Jude Bellingham who already has a very high transfer value. this is why Dortmund never targeted to win the Bundesliga title. what the Dortmund management wants is to always be at the top level of the Bundesliga, and be present in the Champions League, that's the only thing that allows them to earn fantastic money
I would assume that it would be exactly because of this reason that they would want to be the champions. Why? Well simple really, imagine keeping Haaland and Sancho and Jude on the team for one season, all playing well and all playing now, not when Jude was too young, like lets assume this season. If they end up being champions (and players don't have release clause) they could have made maybe 100 million more from the transfer fee as well.

However, even if they don't have these players, if they do become champions, the price tag of any of their players would go up as well. That is why it is important to win the title, to get a lot more money for the players they raise so well from young age.
1283  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: November 26, 2022, 03:15:04 AM
I think all the people want to become a business owner because they think this is where they can attain freedom. There will be no boss that will dictate them anymore. No more long hours of work but the working time can depend on you though I think some business owners can work for a more longer hours than compare to what the regular employees are doing.

This is because they want only the best for their business. Every time and effort that they spent in their business is beneficial to them but as an employee that's not the case as many employers didn't really appreciate the hard work of their employees but they only care about their business.
I feel like wanting one and being one are very different. I am a realist, I would "love to" be a business owner as well, and I have so many business ideas, but I also know that I have absolutely no idea how to run a business. The simplest thing would be having a wordpress website right? How hard could it be?

Like you could pay someone 1000 dollars and they can do from logo to branding to social media to website all of it, and yet I would not be able to keep it running, plus I do not know if that developer put something in there that could ruin me. So basically, I would not prefer to be a business owner right now, it is too much work for something I don't know, whereas as an employee, I know what I am doing and I think I am good at it.
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: November 25, 2022, 01:25:42 PM
As November 2022, I think we are really arriving to the end of downfall. Its gonna take some more months for Bitcoin to truly recover, and Ethereum/BNB to react it. Especially Ethereum supporters will start making profits next year. I am planning to divide my portfolio between Bitcoin Ethereum BNB and Solana for now. But I am at waiting side for downfall to end completely. Situation with coin markets seem stressed now.
I am doing basically something similar for the long term and wait the bear market over. I have bitcoin, ethereum, bnb, and added a bit of litecoin to it as well just for fun and respect. That means I will keep growing these and going to wait it out, the more money I get the more investment I will make and eventually it’s going to be doing fine for sure.

I know that the market is terrible and business is doing badly at this point so all things are really looking and feeling sad at the current stage but that doesn't change the fact that we can't make a profit out of it, we could still just invest and hold and wait its period out in the long run for sure.
1285  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My exorbitant lessons in last bull market on: November 25, 2022, 05:32:52 AM
Whenever any new trend starts in the market YouTubers start promoting it, those YouTubers may not know about it properly. There was a lot of hype around Memecoin when it started trending and it is also true that some people earned huge amounts from these projects. But most ended their journey with some useless tokens in their wallets.

There was a lot of talk about Bitcoin going to $100k but it didn't happen this time, but I think Bitcoin will be able to achieve this target in the next cycle. So hold on patiently without despair it will definitely pay off. What you have learned from this bull market, I think this experience will help a lot in future business.
Youtubers have to react quickly so that they would be one of the first ones to make a video about it, but at the same time it is not that easy because they will do it without having the full information regarding the situation at all.

This is why I believe that we shouldn't really be wondering why and how that is done, in the end if that was so easy then everyone would have done it, which is a proof that they are doing what they think is right and if they are getting views then it is what is right for them. It doesn't matter if what is inside is good or not, it doesn't matter if the video is legit or not, if they are getting views that’s good enough.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 24, 2022, 09:16:54 PM
Dortmund never had a dream to become a champion in the bundesliga. It was always focusing with its business. Why compete with a team that was absolutely dominating everything in the bundesliga? that doesn't make sense to see that. I personally if i were dortmund owner and i will prefer to make money rather than try to focus with the trophy that has a only a small chance for my team to get it. Jude bellingham may become the next player that will be leaving from the dortmund. It's clearly stated so many times if bayern never interested with ronaldo.
Six month contract being offered to the real madrid but real was also rejecting such contract by CR7
It's not okay to ever doubt your championship chances. I know that as long as Bayern is there, other teams have a lower chance to make a profit, but Sancho leaving for 80 million, Haaland leaving for 65, and now Jude probably leaving for a huge amount as well, all equals to 200+ million earned in 3 years and yet they do not have anything to show for. All that money is already gone I suppose and they do not buy any player that would be great.

I feel like they really need to find a better scouting team, and they need to use that money to win a title. Maybe it’s already gone for them, but at the very least fix it for the future so it would become better for them as well.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Bearish market the right time to buy coins? on: November 24, 2022, 08:32:43 PM
Base on the steady market increase early this year, some coins increases times two but now it has falling drastically.
not just the right time but the perfect one mate,  in Bear market we can purchase prices at the lowest it can bring and if we don't take this advantage then what is the essence of investing?

how many bear market have we seen in the past and how much it brings us income?

I have luck in making it back in 2017 and in 2021 so what more in 2025?
I feel like there are a lot of people who miss that essence for sure. I mean look at the current market, even though we are at a bare bottom low level in the price range, people are still selling, I would sort of understand not buying at this price because you might be afraid, and that’s still silly because you should buy it when it's low, but to sell it? That’s really a terrible way to do investment.

That’s fine though, because thanks to these people who make that kind of mistakes, that means we are buying bitcoin for cheap and that’s always a good thing. Feel like I am buying something at discount and it gives me a better feeling for the future and my upcoming profits.
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you believe in Litecoin? on: November 24, 2022, 06:28:25 PM
Litecoin is a very good decentralized coin with good liquidity on many exchanges and other coin exchange services. There will be no big XX on this coin, but I do not think that the price of the coin will fall much.
And many new coins due to mining will not appear.
Unfortunately, people do not realize the value in that. I mean they invest into things that have a central figure and "founder" or creator or "the dev" whatever you want to call it. Basically, someone who could destroy the whole project if they leave, or die, which is exactly the opposite of what Satoshi did, he ended up going away to make sure that bitcoin grew without him.

That is why I believe that we shouldn't be really investing into anything that has anything centralized. On the other hand, litecoin doesn't have it, sure charlie lee is there but he is nobody, he is just a good investor, just like vitalik, they are not the owners and they can leave and nothing happens, which was proven in litecoins case many times.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: November 23, 2022, 09:39:02 PM
Trump lost the race in 2020. He needs to admit it and move on to some other role.
I think so. Second parts were never good, and it seems to me that he is more driven by his ego than by a realistic view of the matter. I think Trump is a bad candidate for the Republican party, and that with the results of the mid-term elections, which were worse than expected for that party, many people are going to think long and hard about who they vote for in the primaries.
The funny thing is, at the time when he lost, he was seen as the biggest chance to win, of course it's "reelection" so he was seen as the leading candidate, that’s understandable. But only 2 years later, and now he is seen as "he should leave republican party alone already! he hurts the party!" by so many conservatives.

It’s really weird because I understand the logic of making him candidate when he is the president, EVERY president goes for relection and not have to deal with candidate raes, BUT they don't suddenly become the enemy of their own party just 2 years later. This going to be tough, not like democrats enjoy Biden neither, so we will have to see.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 23, 2022, 06:14:11 PM
Crazy night for betting in the NBA. All of the games were pretty massive upsets except for the Suns beating the Lakers. That would have been one hell of a parlay win if somebody picked all of those upsets. The Kings shining the beam wasn’t too crazy, but the 76ers winning without their starters and the Pistons beating the Nuggets were pretty shocking. Shows you that any team can win on any given night.
When these type of nights happen, I end up being one of those tinfoil hat type of guys, talking about how it is all a betting mafia deal and all that lol. I know it’s not, I know it's normal, but recently there was a week in UCL where teams like real, city, psg and so forth all ended up failing to win all on the same day, and it was like all the games were 1.70 or lower odds so it was like FOR SURE favourites and yet they all failed to win.

You should have seen me, I was full on gone with conspiracy theories. Last night was a lot less than that but I started to think like that, I get like 1, but not 3-4 games like that, and that’s why I lost a quite good chunk and it hurt me.
1291  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lay off vs Pay cut on: November 23, 2022, 03:09:23 PM
I have experienced this, receiving a salary with a deduction or stopped and got severance pay of around 4x salaries, and I chose the second option that stop and get a 4x salary, and happy it turned out not long after stopping I got a new job that gave a higher salary. Maybe not much can be lucky like me, but with positive thinking then all problems can be solved.
That's the case we have a stable economy and finding a job won't become too difficult. But with the current economic crisis, companies constantly laying off or cutting staff is a different story. With the current situation I think people will choose to stay and accept the pay cut because finding a new job is now almost impossible. I don't know what your area is like? but in my area, it is almost impossible to find new jobs, if any are just very hard jobs and few people can do them.
I do not agree with that, life is already quite hard, getting a pay cut is not acceptable and even if they accept it for a short period of time, unless they were paid a whole big amount, they will try to look for other jobs that will pay as much as they used to get paid, or maybe even more.

Inflation is a big problem and while everything is going up in price due to inflation, the salary can't be going down, that just doesn't make financial sense to anyone. I say either fire me, or keep my salary the same, there is no in between for me. I am thankfully working with a good salary, and there is no cut for me and I am making a good enough income that I don't have to worry about the inflation that much.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: November 23, 2022, 08:34:34 AM
Leipzig is not an easy team to beat, they have quite an impressive record and are currently ranked 3rd on the Bundesliga standings. I am quite optimistic that after the league resumes rolling, Leipzig will be able to place its ranking up to second place, eliminating Freiburg. although not as strong as Manchester City, at least they will provide quite a fierce resistance considering they have a history of two meetings in the champions league last season. and don't forget, Leipzig has also made it difficult for Real Madrid in the second leg of the group phase. and the match was won by Leipzig with a score of 3-2.

however, that Manchester City is stronger and more of a favourite. plus at this time, Haaland is predicted to be the key for Manchester City to win a trophy in this competition. Leipzig is not the toughest opponent they will face. City is still predicted to overthrow Leipzig in the round of 16 later. it's just that, Pep Guardiola should not underestimate the opposing team.
Agree to disagree there mate. City is a huge football club now, I feel like Leipzig will not be a problem for them at all, lets just take a look at how many goals Haaland scored against them when he played for Dortmund, never really checked maybe the result is zero but I have a feeling it must be a lot.

I feel like City as a whole is better than Dortmund anyway, so we are going to see some great scoring from City. I am not saying City will just win, I say aggregate result will be 4.5+ goals easily, because City is that much better. People may see Leipzig as a good team, and when people see them lose big time, they will realize that no matter how big Leipzig could be in bundesliga, City is far superior in world of football.
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: November 22, 2022, 04:56:53 AM
The chaos created by collapse of FTX was similar to 2001 dissolution of Enron, the largest bankruptcy in US history. The complete failure of corporate control is a strong message to authorities to come up with new regulation to avoid such a huge crisis which has evaporated life time savings of many families all over the world.
The message from this collapse is loud and clear. Keep your asset in no-custodial wallets.

I do not think that it is remotely close. Enron was a huge deal and because of that a lot of trouble happened overseas as well, and that was amount of money that was just insane to think about.

FTX is a small thing compared to that, sure a few billion dollars, but nothing that can be fixed with like a 5-10 billion loan to FTX could be compared to Enron, we are talking about literally going against a court and congress just to explain why you bankrupted, Enron was big that much and that’s a whole another level. I understand it is not going to be an easy thing to accept that bitcoin will not be that big for a long time, but we gotta stop overestimating our importance in global stage.
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana rise again? on: November 21, 2022, 06:13:20 PM
Many panicked and if we look at the trend of Solana being almost the same as FTX a few days ago so that Solana dropped significantly, I hope Solana can recover and strengthen again, now attacking each other the founders of cryptocurrencies and exchanges is so massive that it hurts the market.
No, compared them wrongly. Because what happened to FTX is a different issue, unlike Solana which is all about the development of the project and people aren't looking at it valuable anymore. I thought before that Solan becomes one of the promising coins in the future. In fact, I have the plan to invest more but too lucky enough that it this project shows the real situation and withdraw my plan.
Though I wasn't hopeless yet to seeing Solana will recover but the chances are very slim. We know investors are really hard to please if they already had suffer losses from a particular project.
The difference between "one of them stole, the other failed" is not as big as you think it is. Solana offered 65k TPS and got frozen even at 15k which means that they are not what they claim they are and that's going to cause a ton of problem for the investors.

Solana is something that failed, at least to me it is something that failed, they are not scammers they are not shady they are not stealing your money but they just failed to succeed which means that it is not really that much different from getting hacked or something. This is why it has been over a year since I owned any solana, I have sold all my solana and got out because to me it's just a purely failed project.
1295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto dump is just getting started? on: November 21, 2022, 03:10:05 PM
And so I was ready already to hold and buy more if I have spare money. Yes, it is indeed the negative influence of FTX that has been spreading and continue to change the mindset of investors. Though I wasn't worried about the incoming dump, however, I was not also happy to see people get in a panic situation because of that issue. It is really disappointing to see big exchanges get into the problem for they will certainly give a huge market impact and causes panic selling. And I see this bear market will stay longer, might some coins will tried to pump, yet it was just short pump and it drops back again.
Honestly? I do not think that it changed my mind. Sure the price went down because of FTX but that's one thing, and I believe nothing about bitcoin itself has changed and I believe that we are going to end up seeing the price go up in the long run.

It means that we shouldn't really be worried about it at all, we should be checking how it will do in the long run and bitcoin will do just fine in the long run for sure, there won't be any problems at all. I know it takes a bit of time for us to recover, and the price won't suddenly be 100k or something, but I know that this fall and bear market is a short term thing and it will one day go back to its peak prices, we just need more time.
1296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip on: November 21, 2022, 05:52:40 AM
Everyone clearly agrees that now is the right time to continue hunting for altcoins, because altcoins are at a price that is worth buying and investing in in the future when it is about to enter an increase.
but you always have to analyze it correctly because the upgrade time is still quite long, so if you place it wrong, you might experience unwanted losses.
because a long waiting time can obviously result in unexpected things happening on its way, so to be safe there's nothing wrong with placing on a reliable coin like ETH, BNB.
To continue? Will that mean that you stop investing at some point? Well maybe it's because you are only a short term investor but for us long term investors, we never stop investing because the coin that we only invest are coins which are worth it. We can sometimes buy them when their value isn't really low but those coins still have a potential to grow for more so we can still be able to recover what we have spend with them.

We are at the bear market and all coins are dumping but don't say that all of them are now worth buying. A cheap price shouldn't blind you about the quality of the coin you are investing with. It was the coin, is the one that you need to analyse and not that if the dump will continue for more or not.
1297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened with crypto? on: November 20, 2022, 08:22:50 PM
This is like previous events where the price will decrease after bitcoin reaches a peak. But this time, we didn't expect the decline to be very drastic and almost touched the lowest point in 2020 and has already passed the lowest price in 2021. This gives us the experience that bitcoin is still moving very wildly and can be at any price point so we have to be careful if we want to invest in bitcoin.

The cause may be war, global problems, or government interference in the market. But since the beginning of this year, a lot of news and events have decreased the bitcoin price. We can only survive and you have a good time buying or investing in bitcoin again, considering that you already made a profit in 2021.
Yeah, nothing really new in here. The drop in the price, the inflation/recession, the war, the collapse of the exchanges and any other issues. All of them are already faced by us even before. The op is already registered on 2013. He have more experience than the rest of us here who only discovered crypto during the first boom in 2017 but he is the one that acts like a noob.

I think with that experience of him he can just browse the forum topics to easily know about the latest happening or he can also search using some specific key words in google but I guess he just too lazy to do that and only want's us to spoon feed him with info's.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: Global recession alarm, safe money on: November 19, 2022, 09:14:09 PM
Apart from securing assets, I would add that I have a reserve amount of cash to stay prepared for a recession. it is very necessary, even though it has to reduce the value of the investment allocation but at least DCA is done by buying and withdrawing to a safer wallet. In fact, the global recession has occurred in several countries, and like it or not, we have to be prepared to face the bad possibility of the impact that will hit the economy in bulk.

Recovery after last year's Covid-19 Pandemic has disrupted the balance of the world economy, and we are in recovery maybe not as bad as during the Pandemic. There is no need to panic excessively because we only need to control finances as sparingly as possible.
I would say if you are doing DCA then you shouldn't have any reserve cash. I think it's at a moment where you have to cancel your vacation plans, cancel the subscription you have to somewhere, cancel the costs and increase the amount of money you could have and even go into debt and ALL that money should go to investing.

I know people do not like to hear that, but right now is the moment to have no cash, and even credit card debt, and all go to crypto. I did that, I have a huge huge huge credit card debt right now, lived off that, and used the cash to buy bitcoin with it all. I do not advice this to people, don't do that, but at least not have cash reserves neither.
1299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can someone teach me where have High Return Invest Program on: November 19, 2022, 05:21:02 AM
That is a lot better in the long run and that’s why I prefer it. I have been running a 50% bitcoin, 30% ethereum and 20% bnb run for a long time and I believe that it would be the key to success as well. I know that a lot of people will not be able to focus on that part and they end up losing hope from bitcoin and look for something else to make a lot of profit.

But at the end of the day, it’s not going to be profitable to invest into something that’s dangerous because while you are trying to make a profit, you are going to lose money instead. All those alts people invest with hopes of high return, will end up being a lot more risky and could cause them to lose a lot of money.
That’s a good approach, it allows you to both be risk averse, but also be able to take advantage of the increases in the crypto market. People think about low cap small tokens a lot for making a profit, and I do not understand how they think it could work well in the long run.

It’s obvious that it will not be that easy, it will take a while before it could ever be profitable or even lose all of their money. On the other hand, what you do could make you a lot of profit, and they all look great, but it’s also not risky enough that the prices of them would crash to zero, it could go down, but not to zero. That’s the way people should learn to invest, would help them a ton.
1300  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is now the difference with Ponzi platforms with cryptocurrency exchanges on: November 18, 2022, 06:48:05 PM
Binance collapsing would be quite difficult, it would require a lot of money to do that and I do not think that it would be that possible. I am not saying that it's impossible neither, but it’s quite difficult for something that large to ever drop victim to some hacking attempt.

I would like to emphasize very carefully, I am not saying "impossible" so take all the safety and security measures that you can, that’s a guaranteed thing, if you can do that then it would be great, but if you don't and you have to put it on some exchange, Binance is better than any other and that would be a much better method for you, because all other exchanges are even worse.
That’s true, it would be very unlikely that we would see Binance going down. I feel like they would be doing security beer than anyone and they wouldn't go with these child’s play stuff that other exchanges which think they are super smart and does in order to bankrupt. FTX did some silly stuff obviously thinking they can get away with it, and obviously they couldn't and that’s why they dropped to this low levels, otherwise they wouldn't.

Binance is too smart and they wouldn't let such things happen and that’s why I believe they would never be turning into a scam. However, OP is right about the ponzi situation, exchanges do not have as much money as they claim they do, and that’s a problem.
