Question about setup: when configuring this unit, is it possible to power it up using a single 120V/12A circuit?
As long as it isn't hashing, it shouldn't draw much power when turned on. So I'm hoping it can power up enough to access to its web interface prior to actually hashing.
I ask because I don't have 220V at home, but I'd like to configure these prior to deploying them at a hosting facility. So it would be ideal if these things can be powerd up and configured at 120V/12A prior to actually beginning to hash.
Anyone have experience with this?
Unless you have 240V at the hosting facility I'd suggest the SP31 the power usage of the SP35 doesn't really justify the extra 500GH of output and you won't reach maximum output at 200-220V it will really need 240V to achieve close to the advertised speed. The +/- 10% is in the specs for a reason. To manage expecation ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Edit: I read the rest of the thread. This is not a temperature issue. My bad.
Well it is a bit of a temperature issue, just the other type of temperature and in a very small localised area ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) My good news tonight is that my SP31 just shut down and I can't get it looked at till tomorrow. ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) We're ready to assist ... That you Guy? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Hope someone just kicked the cable out or something. I could have got support to do an immediate call out but I've got a new firewall going into the rack tomorrow and everything is being moved around so it can wait. Hopefully nothing serious, otherwise I'll be taking you up on your offer ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

lifeforcepools is also jjj0923 who was shilling hard for MAT, in fact was the starter of the MAT thread. I feel bad for anyone who fell for the MAT scam but we were all in there at the begining warning people to stay away. Same with this one

Hey All,
We want to apologize for the lack of development of CryptoGlance. Our daily life activity has taken a strong toll on CryptoGlance development as our Time was not widely available for the past few months...
Good news though, we're back to doing development on the application. You can follow the development branch, updates will start as soon as next week on GitHub.
Currently we will need to finish the rewrite. The only remaining items are: - Wallet interface - Pool & Device settings (Such as GPU configs for those not use Asics, and frequency settings for those who are using Asics) - Add PayCoin and ReddCoin blockchain APIs
Good to hear!

No problem just after updating sometimes my units require a hard power cycle. I am a distance away from my miners so I just won't do it remotely from now on.
I had the same issue with one of my 5 SP20s. I ended up having to drive 40 miles to the colo and power cycle it last night. I think it might have an issue as it will not hash over about 1570Ghs and it took a couple of power cycles to get it to come back up (the yellow light kept flashing on the front). Should I have support look at the logs on it? The one I got from the first batch thinking I would be cool won't go past 1512, 1535 if I push the voltage. I have direct cooling into the racks at 22c the units says 24 to 25c intake. The other SP20'S push 1600 plus in the same rack. Everything checks out ok on the lemon. It may have been banged up from shipping or just slower Asics compared to what's shipping now. Sucks as it cost a **** load. And this one needed a hard power cycle a few times when I dabbled with pool settings. 40 miles sucks. At least gas is cheaper these days. I'm about 30 mins no traffic. For the led check if you have the led flash option in the gui. Mate get a PDU, then you can reboot remotely.

just added some hashrate here.
hello. what's with the payout queue? seems like my payout time is getting longer and longer!?
Hey mate, all the info is in here: http://eligius.st/~gateway/faq-page/faq-3If the queue gets too big, whizkid generally does a manual payout. Mines a 13 block delay which I think is the longest I've ever seen it.

WARNING <snip>
With all due respect, please fuck off. Given your involvement with Hashfast, you have forfeited the right to sound alarms on these forums given your well known shilling and reality distortion. Ok, I haven't looked back at the Hashfast fubar, but your comment just made me lol. I think it was the 'With all due respect' ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It was salty and astute thats for sure, but I do like raskuls character analysis of the person in question here ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

There ya go petey, shoulda been more specific, the nidec fans I've used are mainly the standard TA500DC 38mm fans, so I couldn't imagine how you were thinking it had a 38mm fan blade inside a 38mm housing. I didn't know you meant the 51mm WIDEBODY TA500DC monsters that came out of old compaq servers etc. Interestingly Nidec were also the OEM for the very popular range of watercooling fans in the Scythe GT range. Anyway no harm no foul, just don't get your fingers caught in those suckers!

It is embarrassing the demo unit arrived half dead. Since it's a demo unit, it was surely tested before shipping. Not a good sign at all... I've got a bad feeling about S5 B1's... Fuck that's bad. Surely it was merely "damaged in shipping" ಠ_ಠ My S5's just landed in Cincinnati, so with any luck, I should have my own review up by Wednesday. Bitmain always seems to have a poor start with new models and then improves with age. Hope the S5 goes ok for you Xian

Yes phillip is a tinkerer trying to get the best watt/gh ratio with low noise as possible. Its a refreshing approach, not one everyone always considers, but he'll probably be mining long after we give up from electrical costs ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

If you are going to try out another fan, I'd hasten to suggest you look for one with deeper fins. They will provide a higher CFM at lower voltage and be quieter. For example, the stock NMB 4715KL fans that bitmain deploy are 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep, whereas a Nidec TA500DC is 1.5 inches (3.8 cm). If you can get a 2 inch deep fin / blade on the fan, I think you'll get an even better airflow + quieter for if you run them at less voltage.
PS. The Nidec TA500DC is not a 120mm fan, more like a 125mm fan, and on the S1's that I run it on, the holes do not fit those on the frame, however, it fits inside the frame and I attach them using double sided tape, that and the pull layout make it stick rather well. Additionally, I run them without the PWM (though they certainly have PWM as they are 6 wire). You can pick these off flea-bay for a pittance, shipped.
Umm.. not sure where you are getting your ideas from. Its obvious just by looking at it that the S5 uses a 38mm fan, in fact the NMB 4715KL is a 38mm fan that pushes 130CFM@50dBA, not sure if thats what they are using on the S5 but nevertheless ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Nidec TA500DC is a 127mm fan the 130CFM version is 48.8dBA and the 150CFM version 52.5dBA so not much in it. The Silverstone is actually a better fan than both of them Airflow: 42.8~171 CFM Noise Level: 13.4~43.5 dBA(Max) Even at max speed its more powerful than the Nidec and quieter than both, plus it uses the standard 120mm screw holes ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Not saying its the best fan for the job, just that its not a bad one to try if you have it lying around from other stuff ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Looking for some SP20 help; things I've tried:
Restart Upgrade firmware Swap PSUs
They are running on 2x EVGA 750W PSUs each:
One Psu is faulty. I had once nearly the same problem with one of my server psu-s but I had only on loop disabling. The psu looked fine both on load and without load. I've changed to an other one and the machine runs fine since them. Simply the machine didn't liked the psu. Maybe some noise or something, I don't know. Long story short. Grab a new psu, change it and you'll be right. (But it's only my opinion.) He's got two SP20's and 4PSU's

In the first pic one the second board is hashing, in the second pic the first board is hashing. Focus on one at a time, if you swap the PSU's to the dead boards sockets does it come up? Swap PSUs and take another screen shot.
