You could short BTC by buying the ownership of specific items in my inventory, then when BTC spot/float price drops (meaning, for example, the USD $10 thing you bought for BTC0.02569 is now floated to BTC0.02702702) and people buy the items, I'd have them pay directly to your address for them (shipping paid to me separately).
1282  Economy / Goods / Re: Free iPhone 6 16GB [iCloud Blocked][For Parts] on: January 31, 2016, 06:52:58 PM
Try calling local law enforcement, see if they have a lost/stolen property report for it, or can look up the IMEI's carrier/owner?
1283  Economy / Goods / Re: Free iPhone 6 16GB [iCloud Blocked][For Parts] on: January 31, 2016, 06:33:22 PM
It looks like the IMEI is 356987068271459 - is that correct? Do you want to try to find who'd registered that phone, or should I?

Also, have you tried holding down the home button from the lock screen to activate Siri, and said stuff like Who does this iPhone belong to? or Call Home, Call Mom, Call Dad, anything?

1285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 17yo girl faces fine for using pepper spray against sex attacker on: January 31, 2016, 08:30:31 AM
this is just stupid!!! how a 17yo girl who protected herself from a sex attacker then gets arrested? i dont know how police work works in other countries, but this is plain stupid.

She was not arrested, she might maybe perhaps get a fine.
Police has nothing to do with that. What's stupid is that law forbidding to own a perfectly non lethal defense equipment.

I'm the first one to defend gun control policy. No citizen should own something lethal, but pepper spray will cause nothing more than a huge headache and crying like a baby! Why not allowing citizens to own one??? I'm pretty much sure it's even better than just fighting bare hands!

pepper spray can be lethat if the person you spray with it have an allergic reaction with the pepper spray, but thats unlikely to
happen. my point is it can be lethal.

Being raped is morally superior to killing your intended rapist without malice aforethought.  Roll Eyes

1288  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: January 31, 2016, 12:34:33 AM
Yelp has an "Accepts Bitcoin" flag: http://officialblog.yelp.com/2014/04/now-on-yelp-businesses-that-accept-bitcoin.html

Unfortunately when I type "bitcoin" and "accepts bitcoin" in the search, it doesn't filter to only bitcoin-accepting businesses.

You offer other ammo? I am after a few types if you are able to sell for a decent price.

I'm not sure I understand. If the attacker fled the scene and hasn't been found, them who is charging her?
I mean the police wasn't there, otherwise she would not have had to use the pepper spray, which means they have no evidence.
What the hell is happening? Is this a joke? What's happening with the scandinavian countries? I hear only bad jokes from what happens there.

My question exactly.
Wouldn't this fall under a non-cognizable offence, where the victim has to file charges?
If the police couldn't protect her, they have no business filing charges.

Government exists today to punish/collect revenue from victimless criminals and protect victimful criminals from their victims.

By the way, islamist territories of Syria have no gun regulation... The same is correct for Iraq, Somali and Lybia, these are so wonderful places to live.

Sharia law and "the de facto/illegitimate government will kill you for self-defense they don't like" regulates women out of their human right to shoot rapists QUITE well.

Of course, we should all get guns and shoot everybody that comes our way.

im from britain so i find the amount of guns in america shocking, i think it needs to be reigned it because ive read about several high school massacres involving guns in america and we are yet to have one. its just my opinion but the rest of the world manage to 'protect their property' without such dangerous weapons

Your revisionist history to defend the indefensible violation of human rights, resulting in 3.31001528944831x more violent crimes per capita in the UK than the US (sources: Eurostat and the FBI's UCR, 2011), is duly noted. /ignore
