1301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Enough? on: February 10, 2023, 05:31:59 AM
Is 0.1BTC a lot and enough for long-term holding? I calculate my extra income that I use for DCA and I feel like this is the range of BTC I will end up owning on the long run, anything more will put me in a very tight position or maybe I need to upgrade my side job to earn more for investing into Bitcoin. What do you feel about this? 0.1 BTC good enough or not.
For me it's already a decent amount and enough to hold for long period. The price can go higher in the future and you can imagine how much profit you can possibly get if that happened. But we're talking about yourself, is that enough for you and are you already contented?

We know the more, the better but as you've said anything more will put you in a tight position and that's the thing that you should avoid. Because you might fail to hold your Bitcoin for long term if you're not financially stable.
1302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 12,000 in 2023. on: February 10, 2023, 03:28:42 AM
What do you guys think about the possibility that bitcoin will crash down below 20k again before going beyond 24k?
The economy is still tanking, unemployment is rising and rates are still high and we don't know when they will start getting lower. And the biggest thing is that we still didn't feel the effect of the rate hikes. Considering all this, I see a real possibility of bitcoin crashing down with other assets.
I don't see how we can get a soft landing when there is a statistic that every time after the fed pivot economy was dumping even harder.
I want to hear your perspective on this.BTC
Well, I won't be surprise if Bitcoin return back below $20k price. Like what others already pointed out there's always a possibility for it to happen due to many reasons. One of it is the economic crisis (and as you've said unemployment) that can affect the investors to sell even at loss because they're already in need.

Though I don't think Bitcoin will reach a $12k value as the bottom because if the price plunge further, certainly many investors will already take advantage it knowing that halving is already near. Therefore if you're planning to buy, don't wait for the bottom since we can't pin point it. If you can afford the price then fill your bags already and wait for bullrun.
1303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: February 10, 2023, 01:41:20 AM
Be neutral in almost everything.
If you think that someone is telling you honest opinions about the market and you're seeing it as it reflects then remain neutral and take those helpful insights.
Always be like that because once you're believing to them, they might take advantage of you and will just milk some money based on how you're admiring them.
Indeed. You can watch and listen to their helpful tips but there's no need to trust anyone of them, since you can create your own plan and strategy through your experience and learning on how to analyze the market.

Just take advantage the information you can get to these traders because it can work as your guide to succeed as a trader. But don't rely on them and always do your diligent research.
1304  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: February 09, 2023, 05:57:00 AM
Same here hindi pa rin ako nakapag register.

1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bounty really pay? on: February 09, 2023, 03:57:58 AM
Sometimes I find myself being added to Telegram groups where they are doing bounty campaigns for new coins but at the end of the day, people will start complaining that the project is dead. In most cases I exited from the groups immediately I find myself there because I feel they are prone to defrauding people.
This makes me to wonder if bounties really pay.
Well, if you're added in a TG group without your permission, this bounty is likely a scam because they can't even attract members in a legitimate way to promote their bounty. So exited immediately is a good decision, because a bounty with a good project to offer will let the people apply to promote their project in a legit way and not through telegram which is added by just anyone.

For your question if the bounties really pay, well most of them are paying through their own tokens, however the question is if these tokens have value. Gone are the days wherein joining in bounties are profitable because currently there's only few project who is worth to join in that even it takes months before you receive your rewards, it has value and listed to major exchanges.
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am stopping for legal reasons. Is it really worth the trouble? on: February 09, 2023, 01:18:11 AM
I am doing this for my own safety and to continue with my business. They are putting people in jail if they know we possess crypto.
It's understandable why you made such decision, even me I won't risk my safety just to continue accepting Bitcoin/crypto if the Government already set it as illegal. I will continue to hold for personal use but not for my business because there's a consequence already.

Hence, don't feel bad if you stop accepting Bitcoin because that would be the wise thing to do in your situation. It's just sad that some country is banning the use of crypto for some reason. Our Government also warn the citizens about the use of crypto but not to the point they're prohibiting us to use it. So somehow, we're still free to decide what we want to do with our crypto assets.
1307  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 08, 2023, 07:56:02 AM
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that no has the capability to predict it's rise or fall.
I am beginning to have a doubt that Bitcoin cannot go to a higher price just like the previous year.
Cause Bitcoin is determined by the number of people in the digital market. Just like the higher the number of people that purchase Bitcoin the lower it's price and for it price to go higher it requires some Bitcoin investors, traders and miner's to withdraw some percentage of their Bitcoin. So I still have the doubt of Bitcoin shooting higher  just as we are expecting in 2024.
It seems you don't have real knowledge about Bitcoin because what you're saying is the opposite. So I suggest you to take your time learning about Bitcoin and how the market works for better understanding.

Anyway if you have this fear that Bitcoin might fall then I think you're not prepared to engage yourself because every investment has risk and we can't guarantee a positive result. Therefore if you can't bear the possibility for the price to fall and it can affect you mentally for having high expectation, it would be better to refrain yourself from investing. Unless you're knowledgeable enough to face the future of Bitcoin regardless of the outcome.
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 08, 2023, 02:30:51 AM
I think that this will be an interesting fight since Nonito had just lose His title recently and wanted to have a come back ( though I thought he is retiring as His age are not far from Manny Pacquiao)
Well, if Donaire is considering to retire, isn't it good to exit with a last win fight than a lose?

But I doubt he will retire sooner, I never heard any announcement about this. Moreover, he's not too old and can still fight even with younger boxers. Thus, I hope this fight will push through so we can see Donaire in the ring once again.
1309  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - #1 VIP Crypto Casino on: February 08, 2023, 01:11:44 AM
For everyone who hasn't seen it yet. Bitcasino today launched their new competition where you have to predict the price of bitcoin as of 02/28/23.
Thank you very much for this new competition and I wish all participants good luck!  Smiley

Link: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Bitcoin Predictor February 🚀 15 mBTC total prize 🎯
It's nice they launched again a Bitcoin prediction for this month. This is my birth month (it's yesterday) so let's see if I can predict the price closer than before. Grin

What do you all think? Did I win anything at the end or it was just another day where you close your window when the balance is empty.
Reading your experience excites me. I remember my first time hitting a high multiplier, the slot is Rise of Olympus. I'm positive so my guess is you had a good result.

1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Roller Tailing on: February 07, 2023, 12:49:46 AM
I know it's not right to bet on a game without knowing about it, I am just curious if someone does this kind of strategy.
I have not tried it yet and don't have plan to do so. It's quite risky to rely on high rollers just because they're betting huge thinking they did their diligent research before placing such bet. But probably these high rollers are a real risk taker and that amount is nothing to them. Seeing the outcome of 4 losses and 1 win, just prove that it is not a good strategy (if you're planning to tail the high roller).

Therefore if we want to maximize our chance to win then it's best to have our own understanding and knowledge. This way, we don't need to blame other gamblers if the outcome is not good since we bet based on our judgement.

1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Interesting Facts About Online Casinos on: February 06, 2023, 08:07:04 AM
FACT 2: At any time, 1 in 10 internet users is gambling.
This is not surprising because many people prefer to gamble online than going to a physical casino. We know how convenient it is to play wherever you are as long as there's an internet.

Fact number 7 is probably the surprising fact for me since i've been playing at Evolution gaming countless times already and I still haven't seen that tipping feature.
Same here. I'm often playing live games by evolution but have not seen this feature or is there a specific casino where it is visible?
1313  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: February 06, 2023, 05:36:17 AM
yes of course I know that and the chances are very small but it never hurts to be part of the promotion, after all there is no free money that is easy to get on the internet everything definitely requires initial capital to play sometimes it's like that  Wink
well, maybe someday if you're lucky, you can claim the bonus that Rollbit gives out on Twitter. the most important thing is that you always try to arrive early.

speaking of promotional bonuses, you really don't have to chase bonus being shared on Rollbit Twitter account. because usually Rollbit provides bonuses on its platform and you only need to fulfill certain conditions to get these bonuses without having to bother chasing bonuses on Twitter.
Is the bonus on Twitter that you mean is a giveaway in the form of a code distributed by rollbit? I think it's not worth it at all to keep chasing it, especially if it's only $1 or $2 and it's also difficult to guess when rollbit will share it so often we will be preceded by other members because the rollbit twitter account has 118k followers but if the bonus you mean is where users if want following must do the task so it's not a problem to chase its because we still have a chance to win even though it depends on luck.
Usually the Rollbit giveaway on twitter has a task of liking, retweet and enganging on the conversation. Hence if you're active on twitter you can participate and be updated on the latest happening. But like what len01 pointed out, they're giving rewards on their platform if you are an active player so there's no need to chase a promo code. The current giveaways of Rollbit is depending on luck since certainly many users are joining, the one is what aysg76 mentioned, by listening on rektradio wherein 3 lucky listeners have a chance to win a spin on NFT lootbox and the other is a tip drops for active users on Rollbit's twitter.
1314  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 06, 2023, 03:04:31 AM
Isn't this a vicious circle ? How would you deal with the problem ? I am all ears.
I personally know someone who take a loan to pay her existing loan from other bank. At first, it's effective because she can still handle the situation, having a business is a big help for her to repay the loan. But the problem started after she got sick and hospitalized. In the end, she had to sell her house in order to settle all the loans.

For me, there's nothing wrong to take a loan as long as you're responsible and capable to pay it on time. But don't make it a habit and do your best to set yourself free from all these loans. It's better to not have money rather than having it but you acquired as debt.
1315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Tips For Newbie Traders on: February 06, 2023, 02:02:56 AM
If you are an experienced trader reading this, how did you know that you were not wasting your time trading at the time when you felt this way?
I'm motivating myself by keeping in mind the reason why I trade and that is to profit which I already experienced as a trader. Remember that you're not doing it for nothing because it has a purpose and not a waste of time. If you're determine to earn and can wait until there's a result for your effort then don't be discourage.

Every traders are once a newbie, they also experience to lose their money since it's inevitable sometimes, but they never stop and take it as a lesson. Anyway, if you're bored and thinking it's not worth it then maybe trading is not for you.

1317  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 05, 2023, 08:07:26 AM
yes, probably there's a new contest coming soon

these other styles of games like guessing games are quite popular too and useful to farm some engagement as well
like guess how much money will be used to bet in a determined game at a determine date, the ones with the best guess earns a prize
Keeping players engaged in different activities with lot of rewards is surely best way to gain more user base for your casino but if you are saying about another art contest then it might around the clock so let's see if it comes soon and with new theme or have category based submission in this one also or not.
Well, I miss their contest in games and rounds section where many users engaged themselves because their promotions are fun and no wagering required. They're guess the slot and the total wager. This coming valentine season, many of us here are waiting if they will launch an art contest again like they did last year. We'll never know so let's just wait. But even without these promotions Roobet is already an established casino here.
1318  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: February 05, 2023, 05:36:09 AM
-snip-
Why you're sad for a giveaway on twitter?

Most of the time is always have entries/comment of more than 2,000 user, so the chance are quite small. You don't need to sad for any kind giveaway in twitter, like i said it's really have a small chance.

Don't hope to much on there and I believe most of bitcointalk user are ignored any kind of giveaway in twitter.
There are lot of people who are eagerly waiting for such giveaways on twitter and if there is no such wagering requirements then there is huge rush but the thing is you can try participating in them even if the chances are small you can try your luck in them and see the results.
Yes it's not a pain if you try since it is free and you just need to spend some time to do the task. If not busy, i'm one of those user who participate in twitter giveaways (even in other casinos) because I was once rewarded on twitter for participating. So nothing is impossible even the chances are slim. In Rollbit's twitter, they will give a random surprise tip drops for the active members.
1319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos Want you to Gamble Responsibly on: February 05, 2023, 03:54:54 AM
I don't believe online casinos enjoy seeing a gambler lose money.
Casino is a business and in order for them to profit they need gamblers to play on their platform and spend money, the higher the better, because that's how their business work.

They believe they have a moral obligation to present some suggestions for responsible gambling to the general population. It is also logical to believe that if they could assess visitors for gambling addiction, those who failed the test would be banned from signing up.
The guidelines are similar to alcohol and cigarette advertisement. They're reminding the customers to drink moderately and for cigarettes they're saying it is dangerous, but still keep on selling it despite of the harm that it can cause. It just depends on the people patronizing it on how they will let these products affect them. In gambling if you gamble and play in moderation you won't get a serious problem. I believe the casino has no moral obligation since they're not forcing you to play, it's your own will.
1320  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: February 05, 2023, 02:07:38 AM
I'm not certain if this quote is already posted but here it is. This is what I found interesting and has a meaning.

Quote
Sometimes you win, Sometimes you learn - author unknown

There's also a positive side if you gamble and lose. Because that can make you realize your mistake and can learn from that experience. It was like a trial in life that if you managed to overcome the situation, you'll become a better version of yourself.
