Man Vosk i'm happy for ya bro, but yeah I would not buy any now.  You will bank but just like X11 the next batch peeps are fooked!

That coming from a PsYcO that just bought 7 Titans for fun rofl.
Thanks brother, yeah I'm imagining that this is heading that direction and if so SIA will use that AMMO to brick the antminers and it will be a whole shit show

haha my man! keep me posted on the titans I wanted to do that but ruining my quality of life by getting some vega's xD
1303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer A3 earning $500 a day mining SIAcoin . .WHAT?! Results & Stats on: January 24, 2018, 12:42:21 AM
Thanks for sharing the info Vosk!

Should I pull the trigger on a A3 for 5.5k?

No this coin will be gutted by the A3  and crash and burn.

Why do you think that? Litecoin and Dash made pretty big price moves within 0-2 months after the L3+ and D3 -- not arguing just want to start some discussion because logically I see SIA blowing up here. . in a bad way lol however crypto never seems to make sense and if that's the case the coin will moon? xD
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer A3 earning $500 a day mining SIAcoin . .WHAT?! Results & Stats on: January 24, 2018, 12:40:57 AM

Absolutely man glad to share! I would not recommend that -  this is huge risk and while the earnings are great today, SIA is incredibly upset that Bitmain crashed their ASIC party and are contemplating "bricking" the A3s

Sorry for not being more active in here guys this thread is my favorite part of bitcointalk :c

I put together this thread on it trying to collect some thoughts

If anyone's interested in my recap of the siacoin debacle basically here's my video on that

Its not that hard you only have to enter three fields and the password can be anything so just two really.

On the last video you show being connected to antpool then viewing siamining pool for balance, hows that work?

Maybe i'll try chrome browser, sometimes safari doesn't work well with everything

My Sia address from Bittrex seems awful long and when I enter it at siamining site it says invalid

c1d42c3c34365916b8d91e1eb0502511269be23999998de9908

A valid Siacoin address is a 76-character hexadecimal string, inclusive of checksum.

I had the same issue did you make sure to restart the A3 (figured I'd ask)? Have you tried the reset?

Heres Luxor twitter page with info. they are accepting A3 miner

https://twitter.com/LuxorTechTeam/status/955705511969632256

Will consider it, but something does not sit right with supporting a dev team that wants to brick my miner......  Since a percentage of Luxor pool fee goes to the SIA dev team.  Let the SIA dev team come out with a definitive "NO" to softfork, then I would highly recommend supporting them via Luxor mining.  It is in everyones interest (incl. Bitmain) that the project succeed.

I like this POV ^ looking out for yourself (and fellow a3 owners) and the project

Hey everyone I got my Bitmain Antminer A3 in. . surprisingly enough it has maintained an excellent rate of returns all day. Originally was looking like with a bit of a round up that it was on track to hit $500 a day however now it'll average out to about $400 over 24 hours.

Hey everyone just put together a video on somethings I've learned along the way of creating my own little mining farm. I cover the basics of getting an idea of where you want to put your rigs, the basics of electric and a good simple idea to get you mining, basics of taking care of the newfound heat your rigs will produce, and an easy solution to get you ethernet anywhere inside of your own house!

1317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in SIAcoin? What YOU NEED to KNOW + Antminer A3 / Obelisk Tech SC1 on: January 21, 2018, 01:41:01 PM
Great video Vosk. I wish Sia had some clear governance in place (thinking of Decred and its initiatives here). Community is a good thing, but unless you have governance figured out there is no good way of handling something like this.
Absolutely agree. . the real question then is. . does their decred ASIC have a bitmain kill switch built in too?!
Should we also expect a decred asic miner from bitmain here shortly?
1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in SIAcoin? What YOU NEED to KNOW + Antminer A3 / Obelisk Tech SC1 on: January 21, 2018, 01:39:56 PM
Personally I do hope they do it. Get rid of all the A3's.

I'm still new to all of this. Why would Obelisk tell everyone that ASICs are good for Siacoin and then suddenly change their tone? Sounds a lot like Obelisk is just upset that someone else is eating their lunch. They only want ASICs if they're the ones selling them.

Sounds a lot like Obelisk is just upset that someone else is eating their lunch.

I lol'd at this - haha great way to put it xD

Is that fair though when they have such a vested interest in obelisk? What if X company makes another asic for their forked algo and they just fork it again to protect their obelisk venture?
1320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in SIAcoin? What YOU NEED to KNOW + Antminer A3 / Obelisk Tech SC1 on: January 21, 2018, 01:36:57 PM
did SIA NEED an asic miner? They should thank bitmain then they did their work for them?

You are missing the point here, sia devs released not to protect the network, they released because they are greedy, if they were not then sia would still be gpu only mining and for that I applaud Bitmain cause now it seems ASIC is common in the sia network and sia devs are freaking out cause they thought they would have only their asics around. As sia devs said they will hard fork their network, that tell us was never to protect the network, it was for their pockets only. The sia devs got what they wanted and hard forking will not help cause bitmain and the others can patch it. Sia network is done for and the lie about they wanted to protect the network is hilarious, and now bitmain and the others if they want, they can hack and kill the network and all ecosystem sia coin network was built. Sia devs cant compete with bitmain and if the worse comes to happen, bye bye siacoin.

I understand that and its why i've proposed that question Cheesy
