yeah

the funny thing is the last two times one of my pools crashed bitcoind with poolserverj it was because it solved a block

i wish shads would come back and continue developing this...

btw:

Right now I am merged mining btc/nmc/dvc with poolserverj and attempting to add i0 ad ix later tonight

am i the first person to do this? anyone else attempt more than just nmc with psj?

1327  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER miner overclock monitor fanspeed RPC in C linux/windows/osx 2.1.2 on: January 14, 2012, 04:15:48 PM
Who wants to jump in, Thats fucked

I suspect you already gave the reason: "Loving this miner Because it compiled a SDK2.5 .bin, Making itself run off SDK 2.5 Whilst i have 2.6 installed"

This.

It is the craptastic beyond all belief SDK 2.6 (worst release by AMD yet).

DONT USE 2.6 DONT USE 2.6 DONT USE 2.6 DONT USE 2.6 DONT USE 2.6 (<- maybe that should be my signature)

You may say "why does the old cgminer not have an issue"?  cgminer "caches" kernel binary data as .bin files.  So since they were already created the old version won't create new ones and use the fucked to all hell SDK 2.6

An experiment.
1) Look in old cgminer dir. You should see some files with .bin extension.  Copy them somewhere safe.
2) Now delete the copy in old cgminer dir.  launch cgminer - likely you have the same poor performance.
3) Look in old cgminer dir.  You will notice it recreated the .bin files.  These are the crappy ones (built w/ sdk 2.6).  Delete them
4) Copy your safe copy (step #1) of the .bin files back to old cgminer.  launch it.  you should have good performance again
5) Now delete the .bin files in NEW VERSION of cgminer dir.  Copy the "old" .bin files from your safe directory (step #1).
6) Launch new cgminer.  You should have same performance as the old cgminer.

Please post your results as it will confirm P4man hypothesis.

hes right. I posted awhile back that even if you uninstall and reinstall your drivers you still have to delete cgminer and unzip a fresh copy, I never took the time to figure out why  , but this is obviously the reason  thanks!

you want to edit a page or create a new one?

If you want to create a new page type what you want to create in the search window and then if it does not exist it will give you an option to create one

1332  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: ANUBIS - a CGMINER Web Frontend on: January 13, 2012, 01:14:27 PM
ocminer:

There seems to be a discrepancy between my stats on the pool and the stats on Anubis in regards to stales

BTCGuild is saying that 99.92% of my shares are being accepted yet Anubis is saying my rigs are getting 30%-60% stales

CGMINER it self is not showing a high stale rate either, im looking at my minerbox1 right now and the stale rate is very very low just like btcguild says it is, however Anubis is saying that rig has 27% stales

Any Ideas?

1335  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: ANUBIS - a CGMINER Web Frontend on: January 12, 2012, 02:16:55 AM
I just installed myslq/php on one of my rigs. I sort of know what I'm doing, but I'd really appreciate someone telling me how to configure myslq properly for anubis as I have no idea what i'm doing there.

edit: I got the database and username setup in myphp for anubis, but it still doesn't appear to be working. Here's a picture of what I'm getting. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25848420/anubis.png

Help would be greatly appreciated!

hes right it looks like you dont have php

are you using apache web server?

try this

sudo apt-get install apache2
sudo apt-get install php5

if you need to install mysql and add the anubis sql tables:
sudo apt-get install mysql-server
sduo apt-get install phpmyadmin

sudo pico /etc/apache2/apache2.conf

add this line to the botom of the file:

Include /etc/phpmyadmin/apache.conf

then do :

apachectl restart

then go on the web browse to http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin/

or replace 127.0.0.1 with the IP of the machine on your network you just did all this on

login into phpmyadmin and import the sql file for Anubis

1337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Electricity cost where you live/mine? on: January 11, 2012, 11:45:50 PM
0,18 €/Kwh in Spain. (~0.23 $/Kwh)

I'm selling my 5850's and moving to FPGA's because the power company is "earning" more money than me.

thats smart, I plan to do the same thing when the blocks turn into 25 coin blocks
1338  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: ANUBIS - a CGMINER Web Frontend on: January 11, 2012, 10:01:25 PM
i keep this old dell on my network for certain tasks

its a p4 1.7 ghz with 256 mb of ram - running debian linux

I now use this for my Anubis server and it works flawlessly, and does not run slow at all

keep up the good work dev! This thing is not a resource hog at all.
