I don't think your recent experience has anything in common with this 2010 wallet. That sounds like the common problem where the change address isn't in the backup

This looks all normal: fees went up so this transaction takes longer because miners earn more from other transactions.
The 0.75 went to a change address, that too is normal in Bitcoin.

And I would add that we are not Bitcoin's customer service. I received few (2 or 3) PM asking me if I can help about a blocked transaction.
That's not limited to Staff: I even get requests to help unban shitposters on Telegram. |

Fees spiral up because many wallets use the "best fee" to be included in the next block by default.
Most of my transactions don't need fast confirmation, so I barely pay high fees.

If there's going to be a multisig treasurer system, wouldn't it make sense to only pay the treasurers for their services after the funds have been paid back?
Is there an overview of past returns from treasurers? I know one was lost, but I don't know how the others did. I'm curious if it's been worth having treasurers over just Admin keeping the funds.

Suggestion: use the phone for small amounts, and use paper wallets for long term storage.
If you do this, take the necessary precautions such as creating the paper wallets offline.
