1441  Other / Meta / Re: Advantage & disadvantage of new default trust (DT) selection system on: January 20, 2019, 03:30:56 PM
Can you add a circular arrow from DT1 back to DT1 saying "DT1 (dis)trusted custom list"?
And add "Member and up" to vote.
That makes it more complete.
1442  Economy / Reputation / Re: A boycott of replies to the recent extensive trolling by cryptohunter on: January 18, 2019, 09:18:58 PM
I had about 7 of them deleted, and that's while having him on ignore.
1443  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: January 18, 2019, 09:17:22 PM
Turn off 'Delete' and 'Edit' buttons in the thread "Stake your Bitcoin address here".
An easy fix would be to move the thread to Auctions, if they allow it there.
1444  Other / Meta / Re: cryptohunters war against the forum on: January 18, 2019, 06:22:26 AM
Stop feeding the troll and it will wither and die.  It's the ONLY way to stop this insanity.
That's why the troll targets others: it take a while for them to figure out he's not looking for an answer, and when they do, he targets someone else.
I'd say he should have a 14 day ban to cool off from his trolling.
Constantly posting offtopic can be a reason too.

Enquiring minds want to know what BPIP stands for ( other than freedom of information )

I maintain that list already and can easily add another weekly upload if you want to give it a try.

When the forum first introduced the merit system, everyone was given enough merit to keep their current rank. For example, since I was Legendary at the time, I was given 1000 free merits. I currently have 1537 merits. 537 of those were earned by me, and 1000 of them were given to me for free.

There are a bunch of people with over 1000 merits, but make spammy posts (ex BTCEvo in my opinion, who has 1007 merits but posts that repeat what has already been said/don't make sense. Only 7 of those were earned by them)

Is it possible to find that out via the UI? If that's not the case I think the only thing we can do is to increase the treshold.
I can get you a list of users who earned more than a certain amount of merit.
Does that work to whitelist them all?

Even if you put the threshold at 2 merit you'll rejected most spammers.

Would it be an easy fix to change the extension logo for banned accounts?
1449  Other / Meta / Re: The new DT system, updated 14 JaN 2019 on: January 15, 2019, 05:34:34 PM
Do you make the lists manually?
I can probably script something when I'm back at my desk. It would be nice to keep a record of changes for every week/month to come.
1450  Other / Meta / Re: Should we put a merit/post ratio? Like torrent site on: January 15, 2019, 01:09:34 PM
See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5051725.0 for examples.
I'll add OP when I'm back at my desk.

0.05 Merit per post is far too steep as a requirement.
Spammers won't even reach a fraction of that, and spammers are the only ones who should be stopped by merit requirements.
1451  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 15, 2019, 06:04:03 AM
You are in my list because I trust you with my fund.
That's not why you should add someone to your trust list: if you trust someone with funds, leave him feedback.
If you trust his judgement (on others), add him to your trust list.
1452  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] Show trust in beginners &help board on: January 14, 2019, 10:30:32 PM
I vote for this!

When alia had her issues I read that there were a demand for coming in live video to prove ownership.
That idea came from alia, and would possibly have resulted in a video chat with an underage sex worker.
It won't disprove anything.

I bought that account.
It's enough. I don't see any point of further discussion. Account buyer can't be trusted as well.
That depends on when it happened, there's a bought account on DT2 now.

Theymos, would it be possible to update the trust.txt data dump much more frequent than once a week?
1455  Other / Meta / Re: | Irrefutable Evidence that Lauda is running the forum with alts and "bitches" | on: January 12, 2019, 11:52:17 AM
This picture looks about right. Cheesy There may be more members involved in this cult, but they remain hidden in the shadows.
I was wondering where I am indeed, but I'm fine with keeping a low profile lurking in the shadows.
1456  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New gambling site BTCJUA.com is systematically lying about their operation on: January 12, 2019, 11:46:33 AM
Not sure which archive you are talking about. Unfortunately, I have not archived the page while the previous post of non-payment was there. Hence, I wont argue much without proof.
It's my personal archive, I've scraped all new posts since September 12.
1457  Economy / Speculation / Re: How would a government go about getting into BTC? on: January 12, 2019, 12:10:28 AM
The Dutch government would probably lose an usb-stick with the private keys in a taxi at some point.

I'm curious how they would trust employees to keep funds safe.
1458  Other / Meta / Re: THEYMOS - FACTS BASED POST - only interested in hearing HIS OPINION . Thanks. on: January 11, 2019, 06:18:54 PM
Seriously? This entire wall of text, and nothing about me at all?
After summoning me dozens of times, apparently there's nothing worth sharing with theymos?
I'm disappointed! Lauda gets all the game again.
1459  Other / Meta / Re: My 25 sMerit offer for a single post on: January 10, 2019, 05:59:19 PM
I hate drama movies, I can only add merit it if it makes me laugh.

I'm now thinking of an animated gif from the Fuhrer I think it's called.

So, in about 100000000000000 years you may find one, only to realize you're still a few digits short.
