Well.. you may disagree with me, but Hashim Amla was a world class player who could match the skill set of Steve Smith and Virat Kohli in test cricket. But he never got the accolades and media attraction that both Smith and Kohli received.
I do not disagree with you, to be popular you need to be charismatic and have an appeal to the general public and then only you will get the recognition you are looking for from the media, players like Hashim Amla, Chanderpaul were really great players but they were too gentle to become that popular.

And it is applicable to the bowlers as well. I would rate Dale Steyn as the best pace bowler the world has seen since the WW2. Unfortunately, he has not received much respect, even from his own countrymen.
To call Dale Steyn the best pace bowler after WW2 means you have to ignore bowlers like Wasim Akram, Malcolm Marshall, Dennis Lillee, Glen Mcgrath, Waqar Younis, Allan Donald and the West Indies bowlers of the 70 and 80, Walsh, Ambrose were incredible as well and many more to add in the list.
Dale Steyn is one of the best pace bowlers in history.
1322  Economy / Speculation / Re: When bitcoin will hit $1 million ! on: October 14, 2019, 05:51:44 PM
I do not believe that Bitcoin will ever have a million dollar price. In my opinion, this will even contradict the logic of financial relations.
The fact is that you do not understand the logic of bitcoin and hence you misunderstand that it will contradict the logic of financial relations  Tongue. You can attain bitcoin for small amounts and you do not need to necessarily purchase the entire bitcoin. I am also not expecting the price of bitcoin to reach a million dollars in the near future but you never know when it comes to bitcoin as anything is possible.

Can't blame the guy for wanting to rise up fast in the rankings and challenge for that belt, he was that confident in his abilities. Unfortunately for him, that knee put him and his mouth to sleep.
I am not having any issues with Ben Askren talking his way to the title because he was a champion in Bellator and OneFC and if he could win a few fights he could have got the title shot but with the defeat it will take a longer time to get to title contention.

To be fair though, Robie isn't getting out of that hold. Early stoppage or not, Ben will choke him out to victory.
The bulldog choke was deep and he could have gone to sleep if the fight continued for a few seconds more but before that the referee stopped which caused this doubt among the general public and earlier in the fight Ben took too many shots and even that could have being stopped by the referee and hence a rematch would be fair.

1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 14, 2019, 03:33:45 PM
What I am suggesting is a second division cricket league, for those cities which are not participating in the IPL. For example, we can have teams from cities such as Kochi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kanpur, Lucknow.etc. This will increase the fan following of cricket in the second tier cities. I would like to have 10 teams in IPL and another 10 in the second division.
We had teams in the IPL from Kochi and Pune and other teams but they were dissolved because of financial issues, to own a team in the IPL you need to have huge amount of money and if the team does not get enough sponsorship then it will be really difficult to retain the team and you need to have security deposit on top of that, if there are more private investors to come up with a team when we might see an increase in the number of teams.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 14, 2019, 02:21:35 PM
We'll see how Ben Askren is really made off in this fight. Some fighters never really recovered after suffering their first and humiliating loss.

After all the big talks and challenging everyone in the UFC, the first fight had its controversy and he never gave a rematch to Robbie Lawler and in his second fight where he went to London to challenge Till but end up challenging Masvidal and that ended in five seconds and the next fight is not easy either, if he fails this one then he can retire  Cheesy.

The reception should be great for him. I'm sure he doesn't want to lose in front of the Asian crowd that will surely support him.

He is a popular fighter in Asia but he has to overcome Demian Maia which is a hard task.

Tbh for me from 90s to mid 2000ish was golden time. We had so many Legends in the Test Cricket.
The introduction of T20 introduced many flashy players in world cricket and now majority of the teams have great players who can play different shots but to play test cricket you need to have a solid defense and concentration and patience for a long period of time and it is hard to find players who could excel in the longer format and every team is struggling in that aspect. In the past we had many legendary players in the test format but now we have Smith and Kohli who plays consistent innings other than that i could not find many players.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Never Designed for Scalability on: October 14, 2019, 12:49:01 PM
Everyone has their strengths. I think Ethereum is one of the real proofs in crypto activity, especially blockchain technology.
If I look at the development of Ethereum in the past few months, I also agree with his statement.
Ethereum is a proof that you cannot trust them, if you remember what happened in 2016 when DAO hack happened and they hardforked and created a new chain and we still have two coins and when they roll out the version 2 they will have another new chain  Cheesy. If you are an investor you will be confused about the number of chains ETH will be having after the next chain evolves Tongue Cheesy.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Telegram (GRAM tokens) to be live in few weeks on: October 13, 2019, 06:13:48 PM
The recent precedent of the TON project team with the US securities commission SEC could cause serious damage to the reputation of the Gram coin.
The SEC is claiming that the telegram team did not register with them about the sale and it is illegal according to them and hence they issued the restraining order. It is interesting to know whether they will continue with the launch by the end of this month or will try to sort the issue because the team should know that they will be facing these legal issues when they planned the project .
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am very Pro Dogecoin – Says Ethereum Co-founder, Vitalik Buterin on: October 13, 2019, 05:23:43 PM
this is very interesting news to be known by Dogecoin lovers ... because all this time dogecoin has a low price because of the large total supply ... but with the support of some of the big names of world figures it will be able to trigger the price of dogecoin ... and this is our hope all who love dogecoin .
If some popular figures from the world endorse dogecoin you will not see a rally in the price, if you want to see the real movement in doge you need to have some huge investment in the market, the only problem i see for doge is that it has a ridiculously large amount of total supply other than that it is fast and have a very low transaction fee and i used to use the coin when ever i gamble.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 12, 2019, 07:22:55 PM
I think odds for Joanna Jedrzejczyk to win against Michelle Waterson are to low.
Looking at statistics and Joanna lost three of her four previous fights.

Michelle on the other hand won her last three fights.
Even if JJ wins it will not be easy, but I am going with low stake on Waterson here...
maybe I am influenced by here image previously posted image here idk   Grin
If you are looking at the past few fights you might not see many wins for Joanna Jedrzejczyk as she was fighting champions in her fights she lost and on the other hand Michelle Waterson won fights but she was not fighting the elite fighters or champions and that is the main difference and hence i am going with Joanna Jedrzejczyk because of her championship experience and her striking.

It would have being better if India would have asked SA to bat again and get them all out and they could have won the match by innings and few runs rather than now decided to bat and then give SA to bat last and win by some margin of runs if it happens as per the plan.
From the past performance we know that it is impossible for South Africa to chase a score of 326 runs in the fourth innings and the pitch starts turning too but then if their batsman plays some incredible innings as there is two more days left, you never know what will happen and the risk is higher and hence India will go for the safe route, to score an impossible score to chase and put them on the defense and win the match.
1332  Economy / Economics / Re: $6 Billion United Nations Agency Launches Bitcoin, Ethereum Crypto Fund on: October 12, 2019, 04:57:58 PM
If the trend amongst centralized entities to launch their own coin or token continues, it only proves why Bitcoin is so important with how it can't be created out of thin air. It also will make Bitcoin come out as clear winner because it has no borders to respect, which centralized entities have, otherwise they'll be shut down by governments swiftly.
We have seen the token explosion in the past and majority of them died down eventually and now we might see the explosion of centralized coins and then in the future some countries will come up with their version of government coins to trade, everything is possible and there is no doubt that bitcoin will be the winner in the end as people will understand the difference between these centralized coins and a decentralized coin like bitcoin.

And among them were players such as Mohammed Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja of India and Hansie Cronje of South Africa. I don't know how you can blame Pakistan as a team.
Mohammed Azharuddin, Ajay Jadeja and Cronje match fixing scandal broke during 2000 and ten years after that there was a spot fixing scandal from Pakistan and many players were banned and then the IPL scandal in 2013, so when ever you see these performance people will naturally think about match fixing as people were cheated several times in the past.

I can confidently say that match fixing has become obsolete during the last 10-12 years.
If that is the case, Pakistan spot fixing scandal by Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir in 2010 and in 2014 Lou Vincent accepted fixing matches and then the IPL scandal in 2014 and then Sharjeel Khan was banned in 2017 for his involvement  Tongue.
The risk are always high but still people engage in match fixing but i am not telling that the recent match was fixed but match fixing is part and parcel of cricket and other sporting events.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 12, 2019, 03:15:25 PM
Shocking! I thought they would max get 220-230 runs with two wickets left but a partnership of 109 is tremendous when 8 batsmen could manage just 168. Maharaj played very well. His family is from India I guess but may be he's brought up in SA.
Keshav Maharaj and Vernon Philander frustrated the Indian bowlers and i am sure all the Indian fans were also frustrated as India picked the rest of the wickets easily and when it came to the ninth wicket they were not able to do anything, they batted really well and full credits for their performance.
Keshav Maharaj might be of Indian heritage but he is born in South Africa.

India now just need to put up 150-200 runs and the game is over for SA.
South Africa still trail by 326 runs and India still need to put some quick runs on the board and attack South Africa and see how long they can bat in the last two days.
1335  Economy / Economics / Re: First Bitcoin ATM in Venezuela on: October 12, 2019, 02:55:33 PM
After the economy in the Venezuelan state was destroyed their government began to look to plunge into the world of Cryptocurrency to turn things around, Venezuela hopes that Bitcoin will be able to boost the economy that has fallen back, so that the new ATMs launched there are a form of support from their government.
It is good to see that the corrupt government is supporting bitcoin which is funny considering the policies they made destroyed the entire economy but the major doubt i have is that what will be the transaction charges levied in bitcoin ATM, the rest of the world charges a higher amount and have some limitations if you are using ATM but what is the situation here in Venezuela.
1336  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to bypass KYC methods? on: October 12, 2019, 01:19:33 PM
I also want to hear from you how many times you submitted fake documents to crypto-related services, and how it turned out in future. Did you have your accounts locked? If so, how much time passed between locking and verification process? I was stupid enough to believe this government-forced bullshit which anyone can bypass with a bit of photoshop.
I will not dare to submit fake documents while doings these kind of trades as i am not ready to face the consequence of getting your account blocked and your funds being frozen. I want privacy but that does not mean that i have to submit fake documents to purchase the coins, even if you provide fake documents and you are planning to wire the money from your account, then what is the point your privacy ends at that point Tongue.
1337  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much do you think Bitcoin.com is worth, what price would Roger sell? on: October 12, 2019, 12:16:21 PM
If Bitcoin.com sold now, there was a previous buisness run on it so it'll be also selling an identity of the buisness, and not just the name, but it'll probably be sold with the buisness, so actually a lot more.

Bitcoin.com with the buisness could fetch a lot, dare I say a billion?
If someone is purchasing a domain and a business for a billion dollar then it could be a fair valuation if he could recover the amount, if you are spending money on something you need to have a realistic valuation and no one will be spending a billion dollars to acquire a business unless they have a clear plan on how to recover the money spent and we are yet to see that kind of sales in this market, hundred million could be a fair valuation but a billion  Shocked.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: October 11, 2019, 04:53:42 PM
I'm kinda speechless right now, tbh.

If you know someone who buys bitcoin with their salary, please stop them, and I hope you won't do the same. If you really want to invest in something, use the money that you can lose. Not your salary 'cause you probably just want to use it in your daily expenses. See you're not even sure if they're rich or not.
Am i reading this correctly  Roll Eyes. If not with your salary or your savings how you are going to invest in bitcoin  Roll Eyes. People who invest and make the right decisions will always end up in a profit. To be frank i am kind of speechless about people who are not interested in investing in bitcoin nor trust bitcoin and yet they are active in the bitcoin forum.
I just have a doubt, what do you mean by money that you can lose, if it is not coming from your salary, from where that money comes  Huh Roll Eyes.
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin coins are losing popularity? on: October 11, 2019, 04:04:22 PM
No one said anything about the legitimacy. Why did people move away from trade and invest at this time, even though Bitcoin was popular?
So what you are trying to tell with his statement of bitcoin loosing its popularity, the market is volatile and it is not a new phenomenon, the market was like this from the start and hence it is not a big surprise for anyone who is trading in the market for a long time. If you look at the price of bitcoin even now it is around $8000 and you think that the popularity is loosing  Roll Eyes.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 11, 2019, 01:31:32 PM
The sequence was so fast and it's probably a wrestlers instinct to catch someone charging at them and throw them down. Some have done it without taking a direct hit.
You will not get time to think in five seconds and no one is able to catch anyone during that time and that is a fact, it was a perfect plan by Jorge Masvidal and he executed it really well.

If you have watched Askren fights, you would have noticed, that he uses only 2 tactics. Mount and gnp or takes back and gnp. The funny thing is - he is a crappy striker.
If you are not able to mount and take the opponent down he cannot do anything and he was a good fighter outside UFC and was successful but when it comes to top level fighter you cannot come up with the same strategy and that happened with Ben Askren, i am waiting for his next fight as his first fight was also another controversial decision.
