1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a lone Sports Bettor or a Team Sports Bettor? on: January 03, 2023, 07:27:16 PM
The type of sports bettor I am depends on how lucky I feel.
Sometimes, if it is a team that I have much knowledge about, I go the lone bettor route.
Because I am confident of my analysis. I 7 out of 10 times, I am right.
I go the sports bettor route with some unfamiliar games. And I rarely do because with so many persons giving games, it is difficult to filter out the noise.
1363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: January 02, 2023, 02:14:17 AM
How about you people that had a tutor, were you able to be taught in a way you do not lose in the beginning? I only started to make profit some months ago and till now though, but I lost for almost 2 to 3 years. Maybe tutoring can help to avoid losses?
I first started by self-learning on YouTube and joined a couple of Telegram channels.
There were not as explicit as I wanted them to be and most seem like they after money or growing their channels than in imparting knowledge.
For now, I have taken a break from it, pending when I get a real live tutor and has a good track record.
1364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading With Borrowed Funds!!! on: January 02, 2023, 02:08:06 AM
It is true that some people have become rich through crypto trading in the recent times. But considering the high risk involved in trading, do you think it's proper/wise to trade with borrowed funds as your capital irrespective of your trading experience?
It is easier to walk across the road with a blindfold and be at peace that you will not get knocked down than to trade with borrowed funds.
The repercussions are too great. Especially when your creditors come knock. Just avoid it totally.
1365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pele, the greatest footballer of all time is dead at 82 on: January 02, 2023, 02:04:21 AM
Pelé and Maradona are two of the greatest players football has ever had.
It was remarkable that both enjoyed each other very much.
I remember reading his post about Maradona in which Pelé says he would like to play football with Maradona in the sky and now they are together.
They will keep the angels entertained.

1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High Profit Projects Are Prone To Scam on: January 02, 2023, 01:40:35 AM
With my little experience so far, I have come to realize that most crypto projects that promise Investors excessive returns on their Investment eventually turn out to be scam.

I once participated in a a certain project that was giving Investors about 5 times (5×) bonus during their presale. The team kept postponing the exchange listing date until everybody got tired of them and realized that, it was a scam project. When the complaints on the Telegram group became too much, the project team just abandoned the group, leaving Investors with bot.
1. So as a new trader,  it is always important to do your own research before any Investment with any upcoming crypto project.
2. Invest what you can afford to lose
3. Try to avoid some of these projects with that promise outrageous profits on investment, most of them are not realistic. How can you expect 300,000% annual percentage yield from a new project?
The best way to keep your mind at ease is to avoid these projects that promises a ROI above 50%
It is totally ridiculous and utterly crazy.
Well, if you do decide to take the risk and join the project never invest what you cannot afford to lose.
1368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I now accept bitcoin payments in my Beauty shop on: January 02, 2023, 01:21:46 AM
This is a commendable effort.
Since the OP is a female, I believe she is in the best position to speak with other females about bitcoin.
It is anticipated that your customers may first be reluctant to use this payment option, but as soon as they get the hang of it and feel secure, they will start utilizing it.
1369  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your takes on revenge gambling? on: January 01, 2023, 05:55:26 PM
Revenge gambling is done so quickly with a lot of emotions that before one can say Cristano Ronaldo the punter has lost again.
They have zero plans, they do it quickly and they let their emotions cloud their judgement.
I am thinking that they are the ones who give casino more money.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: January 01, 2023, 05:42:21 PM
For people who are very competitive, gambling is never for fun.
It is either they win or win. Before you know it, pour all their emotions into it.
When they lose, their day is ruined. They become passive aggressive and will most likely transfer that aggression. I just feel that not everyone has the capacity to gamble for fun.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 01, 2023, 05:28:13 PM
the first half Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest ended with a temporary score of 1-0 with Chelsea taking the lead on goals scored by Sterling. Throughout the match Chelsea continued to dominate possession. However, it seems that the Chelsea players are having difficulty breaking through Nottingham Forest's defense. and it turned out that Nottingham Forest's counter-attack gave Chelsea's defense a bit of a surprise even though it wasn't dangerous.
Sterling scoring for the first time has put Chelsea ahead and is likely to make the difference in the game.
He was really relax. They are in control of the game.
Unless forest change their tactics, Chelsea will remain in control of the game. They need to move up in the pitch a little bit. And also press hard.
1372  Economy / Economics / Re: What was your lowest point financially? How did you go through it ? on: December 28, 2022, 06:03:16 PM
My lowest point - lost my job, my rent was due, and I was kicked out of my apartment because I defaulted. I was on the streets for 2 months. Couldn't feed. Was feeding out of the trash. One day I met an old client who I had help secure a huge deal.
He couldn't believe it was me. One thing led to another; I told him my story.
Next day he met him at the spot where I always sleep on the street, he took me to one of his vacant apartments.
Got me some new close and in the next couple of days gave me some projects to handle. I started to get back up on my feet financially.
Within a couple of months, I was back to my normal self with some good cash in my account.
He gave me more projects to handle.
1373  Other / Off-topic / Re: Good habits about learning on: December 28, 2022, 05:54:54 PM
I suggest that you should
- Set your learning goal and break it down into chunks.
- Practice the learning for 30 minutes and rest for 10 mins (I can't remember the rule)
- Have pen and paper next to you while learning. It has been said that the faintest pen is greater than the mightiest sword (I can' remember who said this)
- Teach some what you have learned that day no matter how little it is. - (This is Feynman's Principle)
1374  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you consider appearance in business and employment? on: December 28, 2022, 05:49:46 PM
They say dress how you want to be addressed and this is the truth.
Also, they said when in Rome, dress like the Romans or something like that.
While some organizations emphasize that one must be formally dressed for an interview, some other organization say tech do not have any hard or fast rule to it.
If I were a hiring manager, I would definitely consider dressing in my hiring decision if it is stated in the interview invite. It tells about the personality of the potential employee.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Types Newbies Should know About on: December 28, 2022, 05:43:34 PM
This is for newbies that many be finding it hard to understand sportsbook betting types. Read the article below which is found on www.gaming.net and www.casino.org. My hope is that it helps to increase and improve your betting knowledge.

Most betting types relate to the score of a game, but sportsbooks try to make things interesting. Players can make wagers on which team will win, the number of scored points, and the margin of victory.

  • In-play bet: Some bookmakers call it live betting, yet the concept is the same – bettors have an opportunity to make wagers while a game is active. In live betting the odds change during the match.

Would be happy if other veteran gamblers can add any gambling type that I may have missed.
The OP has done well with this. I have enjoyed engaging in all these betting types.
And I can say that my most favourite is in-play bet. My reason is that the bettor gets to monitor the bet live and you see it while in action.
This makes it easier and simpler to forecast a bet because it is a live bet.
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 28, 2022, 05:36:08 PM
Dortmund - Chelsea is another interesting matchup to me.

Because I believe that this is a matchup between two close teams in strength these days. I think like this because of seeing Chelsea's inadequate performance in the recent times. However they have made a really good return by their Bournemouth game last. It was a completely one-sided game and an easy win. But we saw this from Liverpool as well. They won against the same opponent by an emormous goal difference also but they were still inconsistent later. Therefore we need to watch a few more games to be confident about something.

Dortmund haven't played a game in the Bundesliga yet after the break. If they continue to have the same defensive problems then Chelsea would come one step forward in this matchup for sure.
Chealsea are the clear favorites. They have good form and quality players.
They are in the Market in this winter transfer window to bring in top quality young players to beef up the team and with the quality they already have at their disposal coupled with their experience in the UEFA champion's league,
I know that Dortmund stands no chance of qualifying ahead of Chelsea. There is no chance whatsoever.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 28, 2022, 05:21:31 PM
I'm almost certain they'll win the 3 points tonight. Strasbourg is one of the last teams in the league and they don't want to be the league's top scorer against Paris SG. That's why I think they're going to play defensively. Maybe they will want to achieve a miracle with counter attacks. After all, Paris SG is a “dream team” made up of the most successful players in the world cup.
PSG will certainly trash Strasbourg tonight. This is because the best footballers in the world are in PSG.
Despite the fact that the greatest footballer in the history of the game is yet to arrive, yet they have the quality to dominate and win the game. Because Kylian Mbappé, Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos will be feature in the game. This is going to be the proverbial David and Goliath match; however, we know that this is football, and anything is bound to happen.
Still, I am tipping PSG to win.
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 28, 2022, 05:04:15 PM
I think Manchester United are in a better position to be able to handle any team that they will meet when the season gets tougher for them. There is no too much media buzzing around the coach and making him second guess his team selection because Ronaldo who attracts them is no longer a member of the club. I believe they will be more focused now on trying to be one of the top four that ends the season. They were very impressive against Nottingham forest, no doubts they can keep this performance.
It is undeniable that Man U are playing a great game. The new manager ETH has brought in his tactical football pattern and together with a different philosphy.
He has been able to bring world class footballer that fit into his strategy and philosophy. Player like Casimero, Eriksson and Martinez.
He has also been able to bring unity to the team by first selling off the weak links in the club - Jesse Lingard, Dean henderson. ETH was also able to move out those with swollen egos in the club like Paul Pogba and C. Ronaldo.
I want to believe that they will end the season with at least one trophy and will in next season be top contenders.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 28, 2022, 04:49:35 PM
we are all sure and convinced that Napoli will win the scudetto, but will it really be like this? the first round is not finished yet and the whole second round is missing to play, there are many matches and unexpected events too! for me it is hasty to say that 100% Napoli will win the scudetto! I too would love to see Napoli win
Yes, they stand a very good chance of winning the Scudetto this seasons due to the qualities they have in the team.
Also, the manager has found a way to be able to bring out a very attractive pattern of football in the Scudetto and in the champions' league which they currently sit at the top in both competition.
It is obvious that they are gunning to finish the season in the same form they started considering they have one of the deadliest strikers in the competition and one of the top scorers in the Serie A.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 28, 2022, 04:45:05 PM
Sevilla will get the chance to get out of the relegation zone when they face Celta Vigo. Yes, it is an open opportunity for them because Celta Vigo himself is in more or less the same situation as Sevilla. The statistics they got from this season do not have a significant difference, they are only 1 point away in the standings table. If Sevilla want to get out of the red zone, they have to win this game and they will manage to shift 2 or 3 teams.
Sevilla is in a bad form of their life. Having dominated the Europa League football for a couple of years, they have been playing terrible football.
From having a poor league season to firing their manager.
I think it is an opportunity to move out of the relegation zone considering the caliber of opponents they are facing this weekend.
They stand a good chance of winning the match against Celta Vigo.
