In all seriousness, AFAIK the only other provably anon, trustless coins are bytecoin clones and those have bloat issues. Is there actual proof of anything else? Or are we just talking about trusted mixers and vaporware?
And cryptonote coins are true P2P. No masternode network required. But they have been taking a hit as well. I don't think that anonymity is as big of a deal to the majority of people as it is to the diehard DRK'rs. It was just the latest fad. Mainstream commercial adoption where the money is doesn't care about anonymity. DRK may very well be the best anonymous coin one day but it will still only occupy a small niche market. Also, progress is being made on the bloat issue and one cryptonote coin is already doing some pruning of the blockchain. Shojayxt, I'm so terribly dissapointed you've turned into a pumper. C'mon u know drk works. Cryptonotes are now doa. They don't have Btc compatibility. How am I pumping? I haven't mentioned any specific coin by name. I stated some facts. How is posting a chart from Mintpal Fudding?
I was contemplating making a DRK purchase but the chart looks rather ominous. Apparently all you look at is price. There are many other factors to take into account when making an investment. Maybe that's why I make profit most of the time. It doesn't matter how cheap you think DRK is right now. What matters is where it's going.
Those charts don't mean nothing so pure FUD from your side, but keep it. Those charts are the market. They mean a lot. If they don't mean anything then why is the price following the charts. Sorry the market isn't doing what you want it to do but ignoring the truth doesn't do any good. |

After installing .29 and doing salvagewallet all my wallet addresses are gone. My wallet shows only one address for receiving DRK. On transactions it shows only the address in brackets but no names anymore. Can I still receive DRK on these addresses or do I have to use new addresses at pools, exchanges etc.?
I had 63 transactions of denomination and payments to myself with a total of 0.066 DRK for anonymizing 17 DRK! I have disabled DS for now.
Why are you guys using salvagewallet ? Leave denomination process alone after starting and be more patiant before doing something bad and than blaming RC4 is not working. I had no problems on testnet. Because of: If you have a long standing unconfirmed transaction, simply right click the transaction, copy the txid. Then execute the command "erasetransaction txid" in the console. After that reopen the client with the command -salvagewallet, and the money should be back.
I have left denomination process alone for 24 hours and had the problems reported above. I've had coins in a wallet denomynizing since last night and the only thing I can see that has happened is .001 drk has been deducted from my total. No coins are shown as Anonymized. How long is this supposed to take? It's less than 50 coins. Why is drk being deducted when nothing has been anonymized? How many rounds do you have chosen? You have obviously a bias against DRK. I started anonymizing 20 DRK at 12:53pm PST. At 2:18pm PST .001 was deducted from my balance. At 6:26 PST I sent 1.179 drk to another wallet using Darksend. I left my wallet open after that. When I woke up today nothing had changed since I sent the 1.179 DRK at 6:26 the night before. I took this screen shot at 6:45am PST approximately 18 hours after starting the anonymizing process.  |

I think market is waiting for clear statement: "RC4 is working without any problem" ...after that price will go up  People are afraid of new failure after failed forks. RC4 was no fork, so not much space for failure I know but people compare this with bugs in RC4. Only remaining issue as I see it is Darksend rounds>1 will never finish anonimzation. Change that number to 1 in the settings and RC4 works like a charm. Poor reason not to invest. Those people will be kicking themselves later. Hmm quite the opposite. There are people kicking themselves right now for investing in DRK. |
