1361  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Limitations of Blockchain. What are they? on: March 08, 2018, 08:01:36 PM
Blockchain is a new kind of database - block or records connected to another block. That's the simplest explanation. However, I want to ask the hard question.

What are the limitations of blockchain? I know this is a really good innovation and I highly support it, not because I join the bandwagon, but because bitcoin will not exist if not because of it.... But I want to have a better understanding of the blockchain (in layman's terms please) if I want to get really serious about cryptocurrency and ICOs. My second question is, what are the things experts do to improve blockchain?
In my opinion the limitations of the blockchain is transactions times and miner fees, a year or 2 agao bitcoin was not as popular as it is right now, as the price started to grow nad people started knowing about it it got popular and this affected the traffic control in the blockchain netowrk which was reflected on the trnasaction time nad miner fees which have reached high values, blockchain was not ready for a situation where a large amount of transactions can be sent and confirmed at the same time, and probably that is its biggest flaw.
1362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it easy to trade cryptocurrency? on: March 05, 2018, 10:59:04 PM
Is it easy to trade cryptocurrency?

The spread is lower that forex or it is the same?

Comment down below your opinion.

Thank you.

 Smiley
Right now cryptocurrency trading is easier than ever, and anyone willing to take the risk and jump on this wild ride can easily make some good profit from this market, even if you are still new all you you need to do i go with the flow, look for  what people are currently trading and invest in the top three coins in the market be paitent, and you will be on your way to making some easy money, but keep in mide that there are always risk involved, so don't invest all you have.
1363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SAFE TRADING METHOD on: March 05, 2018, 09:26:38 PM
I think the most secure trading is to use some money from trading capital and use money that will not be in use for the near future,
for example I have $ 1000 and I need to use the money for my family's living needs, then I can use $ 250 for trading and the rest to survive, do you mean from this revelation?
this method is used so that you are not too depressed if the money you have stuck in the expensive price.
Investing all you have is always not a good idea, and defiiently when it comes to crryptocurrencies where the profit is not always guarnateed since the market is very unstable and tend to move a lot, besieds if you are still new to this you should never invest a lot into it, not until you goet the hang of things, and defiently don't start trading with all your cap otherwise if mess up you will lose for good and you can't comeback.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you guys pay Taxes for profit? on: March 05, 2018, 08:32:01 PM
Hi.

i didn't traded so much of my crypto for FIAT so i didn't dealt with that question yet.

however i think it's an issue need to be dealt with.

1. do you use accounting services?
2.if so, do you keep documentation of all traded or bought coins?
3. what do you do in cases of profit from ICO's

WHAT SHOULD I DO??
For me personally i have never had to pay taxes, not because i am not exchanging a huge amount of money from bitcoin to fiat, but because i don't use direct ways to do that, i don't know if people use bitcoin debit card to convert from bitcoin to fiat so they actaully have to pay taxes and fees, but what i do is i go on a peer to peer exchange site like localbitcoin and find somone who is looking to buy bitcoin for a good price, and i meet up with him in person and he gives me my money frr of charge.
1365  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a microchip implant in your country? on: March 05, 2018, 07:36:11 PM
You can inject one under your skin and no one will ever notice, Using short-range Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) signals, it can transmit your identity as your pass through a security checkpoint or walk into a football stadium. it can help you buy groceries at wal-mart. in a worst-case scenario- of you are kidnapped in a foreign countty for example- it could save your life.

are you agree with this thing?
In my country a guy using credit card to buy stuff is kind of a big deal, let alone microships implemented under your forearm, this idea might only be usefull in countries where people are well aware of this technology, because what is the pourpouse of it if you can't really use it anywhere to pay for your things, i know that in denmark where bitcoin is accepted there are people walking around with thier wallets implemnted in these microchips, and they use it to buy from vending machines.
1366  Economy / Economics / Re: Germany recognized the bitcoin on: March 05, 2018, 06:35:02 PM
The Ministry of Finance of Germany signed the Decree on recognition of bitcoin  legal tender.  The document specifies that purchases made for cryptocoins, are not taxed! What do you think about it?
This is a huge step toward global acceptance of cryptocurrency not only as a pyament method but as market where people can create bussniess and make a living out of it, i am sure that not taxing it is just a starting thing because if you think of it, having people earning millions of dollars out of this market without paying a dime to the govermment while a small worker that barly earns his lving does, however i am sure that germany is the first and many other countries will do the same.
1367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After all bitcoins mined on: March 05, 2018, 05:58:44 PM
What would happen after all the 21 million bitcoins mined? How the transactions would be carried?
Probably when all of the bitcoin is mined, it will become more of a rare thing, it will have a high price and it will pretty much be like gold right now, transactions will stay the same because miners need to check  and confirm that a transaction that is sent, and they will still take fees for it, overall i think that satoshi has thought of everything and had a gerneral idea on how the bitcoin will work with its limited supply.
1368  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Will SegWit be enough to reduce fees? on: March 05, 2018, 05:35:25 PM
Bitcoin fees have been quite a problem and even though it's not that bad at the moment. However, the bitcoin network gets overloaded again during next bull run, fees will rise again. If bitcoin truly becomes mainstream will SegWit be enough to keep fees down? I know the lightning network is coming, but that only fixes payments after you have funded a channel. If bitcoin truly becomes mainstream all over the world, an obscure amount of new channels will have to be funded through the bitcoin network all the time. Thoughts?
Segwit have never promised for transactions to have lower fees, its whole pourpose is to get faster confirmation time, but it may have an affect on it some way or another, segwit promises that transactions will have their size decreased wich means it will take less space in the block making room for more transactions, so less transaction to be stuck and be unconfirmed, which is the reason behiend the fees going up.
1369  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to develop a bitcoin fork ? on: March 05, 2018, 04:35:42 PM
Hello guys i have two question about bitcoin development
1-I wanna make a Bitcoin fork and as the source code is open @Github

i'm gonna make a bitcoin based cryptocurrency and i don not know

from where to start

2- I coded a blockchain my self for my coin can i implement it
to bitcoin source code and delete the orginal one
Bitcoin forks are baisiacly a big scam, all they do is make faulse promises to improve somthing  and bring somthing new to the blockcahin technomogy, but all they are just a hopeless way for developers to make more money from stupid people who believe thier shit, the first question i have for you is why create a coin what is your popouse ?, is it moeny glory and fame or just for fun, if you actaully have the skills to create a coin than i am sure using it to make another bitcoin fork is not the awnser because people have had enough of it already.
1370  Other / Meta / Re: Are They Still Here? on: March 05, 2018, 07:13:35 AM
Good Day Everyone!

I was really active in this forum a while ago and its already been a month. A curiousity just came up to my mind because of the repeating threads here in some sections, that's why I just wanna know if Theymos together with the other admins and moderators, are they still here? Are they that really busy on some other things Or they're just hanging around with us through some alt accounts and secretly watching us. But if thats the case what will happen to those repeated posts that we want to be deleted?  Isnt there any necessary thing that we can do except on clicking the "Report to the Moderator" button?

I gladly want to know your opinion especially the SR. HERO AND LEGENDARY MEMBERS. Thanks.

Its clear that theymos and mods don't have their accounts open 24/7 because they are humans after all and they have lives too you know,  but when they are active they do their jobs right by deleting spammy threads and off topic posts, and if they miss something, ( which they do) you can't blame them because i can't imagine the struggle of managing billions and billions of topics, they will eventually notice it, and if they don't than its our job as members to report it, we are responsible as much as they are on keeping the forum clean.
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The environmental problem on: March 05, 2018, 06:50:56 AM
Hello. I was thinking about bitcoin disadvantages, and I just realized how bad the bitcoin was for the environment. We are literally destroying the planet with mining. And it will get worse and worse.
I think, if we want the bitcoin to be a viable money we have to solve this problem. I was thinking about green energy.
What do you think about this problem, and how could we fix it?
Well the percentage of pollution that bitcoin miners cause with their machines is a very negligible number, one because there is not many high/ extremely consuming rigs out there, second hard core mining farms that I know of use clean energy as a secondary power like geothermal power in order for their business to be profitable.
1372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to gain 1% daily profit from trading? on: March 05, 2018, 01:13:43 AM
I think bitcoin is the king, so holding altcoins (even ethereum) is high-risk method right now, if bitcoin hits 25-30K many altcoins will drop 100% at latest, so trading is the safest way for me!

in your opinion what is the safest way to gain 1% daily profit from trading?
Thats the problem with cryptocurrency and trading them, you can't really control your profit because the market is so unpredictibale and it could change at any given moment so your profit is not always 100% sure from it and espacially daily profit, but the best thing you can do is invest in multiple altcoins that are very promising and are bound to go up, and probably you might be able to get some daily profit from them.
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 bigger year for ICOs? on: March 04, 2018, 07:09:34 PM
Over 40 ICOs and over $1 billion raised already in the new year 2018.
Last year’s mark was $5.6 billion. And in 2018, the trend is not showing any signs of slowing down.
2018 bigger year for ICOs?

ICOs are becoming more and more popular, and it has become a multi million dollar industry, and more investments are coming in the near future, and that all goes to the fact that it is a fine exemple of what cryptocurrency is capable of doing and how it made many great ideas come to live, and that is why we find many poeple supporting it, and that is why its market keeps on growing each day.
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH TO $ 5000 on: March 04, 2018, 05:24:30 PM
Now that Ethereum are used by most ICO's do you think before the end of the year (2018) ethereum will go up to 5000 usd ?
Because for me I believe that ethereum has a potential to get that price before 2019 . What's your prediction ?
I mean everything is possible and defiently like you said etehreum is being used by most of the ICOs that are starting up or that are going to be released in the future, which has become a very popular and a very successfull idea that has got a lot of intrest from big and small investors and has made the cryptocurrency grow a lot in the past few months, so we will defiently see more of them in the future, more ICO means more investment in Ethereum means its price is going to keep on going up.
1375  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is best for anonymity? on: March 04, 2018, 03:48:32 PM
Cash is still being the best way if you want to make anonymous payments. Do you agree with it?
Also 85% of transactions are currently in cash.
What do you think about cash on blockchain, backed by gold ( https://goldencurrency.world )?
If we are talking about the moeny you get for selling a service or goods from another person who also got it from another person than yes, in that case the cash would be untracable and thus best to make anonymous payments, but iof we are talking about cash that you withdraw from the bank using your credit card, than no, the modern world society has paracticaly stopped using direct pysical cash, everyone uses credit cards for everything, cahs will always be regulated by govermmnets so using it will never be anonymous even if it is on blockchain.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $ 5000. should start where on: March 04, 2018, 02:49:26 PM
I have $ 5000. should start where. Let me know what to do with this amount, thanks  Smiley
The best thing you can do with that amount is invest in diffenet coins, you should first start of by investing moset of it into bitcoin of course since it is the ultimite cryptocurrency and it is for sure going to give you more profit overtime, with the rest you can invest it in ethereum and ripple which are in my opinion the tow most promising coins after bitcoin, and espacialyy ripple which is at the moment underrated because of its price but many think that it will reach high prices.
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: transferring bitcoin to paypal on: March 04, 2018, 01:27:01 PM
What is the best, most secure and hard to trace way to transfer bitcoin to USD/EUR on a paypal account ?
There are a lot of ways you can exchange bitcoin to paypal balance, the first and most secure way is to use and exchange site like poloniex, where you can trnasfer funds from bitcoin to paypal  and vis versa, another way would be to find somone who is willing to buy bitcoin in exchange for paypal balance, and you can find many offers on peer to peer exchange sites like localbitcoin, and in my opinion it would be the most intracebale one.
1378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at USD20,000 on: March 04, 2018, 12:30:17 PM
What are the economic and political dynamics that can positively drive bitcoin price  to and above the critical price of USD20,000? Is this possible before the end of the first quarter of 2018?
Last year, bitcoin was able to hit the 19k mile stone, and if it wasn't for the huge traffic that the network have witnessed that lead to the miner fees going crazy and transactions taking a lot of time to get verified, and alongside that the goverments were starting to take some decisions concerning cryptocurrency overall, bitcoin would have continued to go up and break the 20k and even beyond, currenctly things are starting to go back to normal, with transaction' fee being low, and lower confirmation taime, we can definetly see the bitcoin's price going up again, but the most important thing in my opinion that will truely help the price reach high levels is the decisions made by goverments.
1379  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merit System Upgrade on: March 04, 2018, 10:15:38 AM
I would like to give it a shot if it is possible
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2976761.msg30704014#msg30704014

You've definitely never just posted one liners. Your active in signature campaigns and certainly posting for that purpose but they’re valid and engaged posts. English is a second language for you and your consistent posting seems to slowly be improving your vocabulary. I don’t want to discourage you from continuing that activity. I found at least 20 posts that could reasonably have received 1 merit. 20 merit awarded.
Thank you so much for taking the time to reveiw my profile, this only encourages me more to keep on improving my posts and be a valid member of the forum, and thank you for the great job you are doing Smiley
1380  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT SYSTEM PROBLEM on: March 03, 2018, 11:34:04 PM
IM STILL NEW HERE IN BCT FORUM SO IF THIS POST VIOLATE ANY RULES PLEASE JUST DELETE AND DONT BAN ME PLEASE.

I have some suggestion about this merit system.
Because of it is too hard to gain merits, this came out on my mind.
What if people who has a lot of sMerit make another account and send merit to his/her own account to rank up for farming, newbies here like me get hard times to gain merits and it is not fair to newbies like me.

Lets accept the fact that even you make sa useful and high Quality post you still dont get merit sometimes.

My suggestion
Why dont make it like this, No sMerit system only MERIT system and only admins can send merit to a post so that it will be fair for all and less the job of admin by checking someone send merits to another if its a farm account.
In this system no one can play the merits only the admins.

Negative side of this opinion I think is that the job of admins here will be a bit harder by checking quality of the post and giving merits to members here.

Positive side of this is that merit system will be fair to all newbies and elders here, and if the admins manage the merit system no useful and high quality post will be ignored.

EDIT: In additional I think we can make merit system automatic like activity. depends on the how long the post is, and if the post is not useful or quality merits can be gone if the post is deleted by the admins.
(there must be a lenght requirements to be merited automatically, I think all can notice a long post if its a spam post/trash then if everyone report a trash post it can be automatically deleted).

Any more additional suggestions are welcome.
If you find something wrong in my post let me know to fix this.

EDIT: Im not against this merit system, this system is nice because of its effect, Im just suggesting.

PLEASE DONT THINK IM COMPLAINING
The merit system is great and all and it is helping to improve the post quality of many people and reducing the spam in the forum, but the only probelm with the merit system is that it could be unfair to some poeple who are actually posting good quality posts, because from what i have witnessed since the  release of this system, is that poeple give merits to memebers who are popular on the forum not because of their high quality post.
