1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 28, 2022, 05:21:31 PM
I'm almost certain they'll win the 3 points tonight. Strasbourg is one of the last teams in the league and they don't want to be the league's top scorer against Paris SG. That's why I think they're going to play defensively. Maybe they will want to achieve a miracle with counter attacks. After all, Paris SG is a “dream team” made up of the most successful players in the world cup.
PSG will certainly trash Strasbourg tonight. This is because the best footballers in the world are in PSG.
Despite the fact that the greatest footballer in the history of the game is yet to arrive, yet they have the quality to dominate and win the game. Because Kylian Mbappé, Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos will be feature in the game. This is going to be the proverbial David and Goliath match; however, we know that this is football, and anything is bound to happen.
Still, I am tipping PSG to win.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 28, 2022, 05:04:15 PM
I think Manchester United are in a better position to be able to handle any team that they will meet when the season gets tougher for them. There is no too much media buzzing around the coach and making him second guess his team selection because Ronaldo who attracts them is no longer a member of the club. I believe they will be more focused now on trying to be one of the top four that ends the season. They were very impressive against Nottingham forest, no doubts they can keep this performance.
It is undeniable that Man U are playing a great game. The new manager ETH has brought in his tactical football pattern and together with a different philosphy.
He has been able to bring world class footballer that fit into his strategy and philosophy. Player like Casimero, Eriksson and Martinez.
He has also been able to bring unity to the team by first selling off the weak links in the club - Jesse Lingard, Dean henderson. ETH was also able to move out those with swollen egos in the club like Paul Pogba and C. Ronaldo.
I want to believe that they will end the season with at least one trophy and will in next season be top contenders.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 28, 2022, 04:49:35 PM
we are all sure and convinced that Napoli will win the scudetto, but will it really be like this? the first round is not finished yet and the whole second round is missing to play, there are many matches and unexpected events too! for me it is hasty to say that 100% Napoli will win the scudetto! I too would love to see Napoli win
Yes, they stand a very good chance of winning the Scudetto this seasons due to the qualities they have in the team.
Also, the manager has found a way to be able to bring out a very attractive pattern of football in the Scudetto and in the champions' league which they currently sit at the top in both competition.
It is obvious that they are gunning to finish the season in the same form they started considering they have one of the deadliest strikers in the competition and one of the top scorers in the Serie A.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 28, 2022, 04:45:05 PM
Sevilla will get the chance to get out of the relegation zone when they face Celta Vigo. Yes, it is an open opportunity for them because Celta Vigo himself is in more or less the same situation as Sevilla. The statistics they got from this season do not have a significant difference, they are only 1 point away in the standings table. If Sevilla want to get out of the red zone, they have to win this game and they will manage to shift 2 or 3 teams.
Sevilla is in a bad form of their life. Having dominated the Europa League football for a couple of years, they have been playing terrible football.
From having a poor league season to firing their manager.
I think it is an opportunity to move out of the relegation zone considering the caliber of opponents they are facing this weekend.
They stand a good chance of winning the match against Celta Vigo.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 28, 2022, 04:39:16 PM
We can't say he is overrated rather the fee is too expensive but what do expect, many clubs have been acquiring young talents for such huge fee. This same Enzo Fernandez was less than 20 million as at last summer, this current valuation of him is the buyout clause and any club that needs him badly will have to trigger it. But I agree with you that Bellingham is more experienced than him and a better suited player for the Premier league but with Madrid interested in him it will be hard for him to choose another club because no player decide against joining the Spanish giants
I think Liverpool doesn't have the financial capability to compete with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea due to their current financial constraint.
Enzo Fernandez is one of the most talented midfielders of his generation. He recently won the world cup with Argentina and his price tag has gone up.
The alternative for Liverpool is Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund.
1386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: December 27, 2022, 04:17:27 PM
These are two gambling stories that are very interesting

Story 1
A man stole his girlfriend's 10k to place a bet. He won 100 million and returned 10k to his girlfriend. His girlfriend is furious and demands 40 million dollars.

Story 2
An apprentice who won 16 million naira on BET was asked by his boss to split the money into two parts. This 50 - 50. As the story goes, people sided with his boss, and he had no choice but to comply. It's important to remember that the money used to bet belongs to the apprentice, not the boss.

*Read the different opinions of people here

First, in your opinion, what would be a reasonable amount to give his girlfriend? Second, assuming you were the apprentice in the story, would you abandon your training, or would you have given in to the pressure to split the money with your boss?

In story one, first stealing is wrong. Second, the girlfriend should demand for a percentage maybe 5% - 10% or sue him.
Although she may lose if she cannot prove that the money was stolen.

In story two, the boss has no claim to the money whatsoever.
What would have been his reaction if his apprentice has lost the money.
Would he also share in bearing the loss?
1387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: waiting to buy lower? on: December 27, 2022, 04:11:58 PM
Waiting to buy lower is just not a solid strategy. The time spent in waiting to buy would have been spent in accumulating more bitcoins.
The concern right now shouldn't be whether we have reached the bottom or whether the bear market is over but should be whether we are hitting out target of 1btc and then positioning ourselves for the for the bull run.
There's not reward for waiting. None at all.
1388  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why depression comes on: December 27, 2022, 04:01:47 PM
At some point in life everyone will experience the lows as well as the highs. That it why we are humans and not robots.
The thing is not whether depression comes but how to respond to it.
A lot of people have their different ways of responding to it. Some are healthy and some are unhealthy.
In your case having family helped you cope, and you came out of it.
What I do when I face the lows in life is to read books, meditate and exercise.

Here is no different from Twitter, Medium or any other social media platform.
I am here to learn about web3, crypto and blockchain. I am here to learn from others, to get ideas and stay informed.
Commenting to get paid is just the icing on the cake or one of the pecks of the forum.
1390  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: December 27, 2022, 02:22:27 PM
No matter how hard you try, poor people can be difficult to persuade to accept and invest in bitcoin, according to my crypto knowledge and people's enlightenment. They vehemently criticize whatever you show them or introduce them to. They are the ones who constantly inquire about how you manage your funds in order to live during this economic downturn.

How can we persuade the poor that without making investments and taking risks, they would not succeed in life? If they are looking for a financial breakthrough, they need become involved with anything because good things in life don't just fall into their laps. Life is about taking chances and seizing any opportunity that presents itself.
Poor people are the biggest doubters, naysayers and critics. I pity them most times because it is not in their nature but their environment.
The thing is that they have been subconsciously programmed by their environment to believe that they cannot not be rich.
The thing with poor people is that most of them can't see past their next meal, their next paycheck etc.
And guess what? Poor people hang around other poor people all day long.
The only best way to persuade them in my opinion is to show them that is possible.
The possibility and potentials of Bitcoin.

1391  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: December 26, 2022, 03:18:06 PM
Procrastination. This is the biggest obstacle.
I know what to do. I know how to do it or at least have an idea, but it is just damn difficult to get off my bum and do it.
Immediately I say this is what I would do and this is how I would do it, I suddenly lose all my energy, motivation or drive to do it. While sometimes, i start and I end up not having the sustaining power to see it through to the end.
Once I get overcome his, on the on the other side lies my financial freedom.
1392  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I feel guilty. on: December 26, 2022, 02:54:32 PM
It is human to feel the way you do knowing that you turned out great and your friend not so much.
Obviously, you did it in moderation and not to the extent of letting to control your life such that when you decided to quit it, you had the power to.

Maybe your friend turned to it for coping. And would drown himself in the habit as a way to escape his reality. Not that you won't be able to help him unless he wants to be helped.

What you should do is to show what is possible and how much he his life will be better if he chooses to quit and then allow him to make the decision.,
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BANKMAN-FRIED PANIC GAMBLES TO REPAY DEBT on: December 26, 2022, 02:22:40 PM
How in the world did SBF decide that gambling was the best course of action for recovering the funds? It seems to me that he has terrible friends around him.  Have you ever thought of gambling as way to recover your funds and pay your debts? Does this look like a case of compulsive gambling?
There are much better ways to repay your loan than gambling. It is only a naive person that chooses to gamble. SBF needs good people around him that will tell him the truth and not just what he wants to hear. Wishing gambling shops can run some sort of assessment that would prevent those who owe money from gambling, this would save the individuals from doom.
1394  Other / Off-topic / Re: Truth About Life on: December 26, 2022, 08:14:36 AM
One of the hardest life lessons is that things rarely go as we plan, yet often they turn out better than we could have imagined. Second, don't anticipate anything from anyone. Expectations lead to heartbreaks and disappointments. That is, it doesn't always work that way to expect people to treat you well because you treat them well.
1395  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Do you do in your free time? on: December 26, 2022, 07:56:48 AM
What I do in my free time depends on how I feel at that point in time. Most times when I am free, I am feeling like I have worked so hard and want to relax, I may decide to see a movie. At other times when I am free and I feel I need to clear my head, I may take a very long walk. And at some other time, I may decide to use my free time to stream a documentary on YouTube.
1396  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to write your own first book - experiences and opinions? on: December 22, 2022, 05:33:08 PM
I'd be interested in your experiences. Have any of you written a book? What strategies worked for you to successfully write and publish your book?
One of the strategies that authors who I love reading their books do is that, they start with a personal story. Usually in a narrative format, their history. Then slowly they start intertwine their their thoughts and opinions into the piece. The best writers are those who will leave you with something to think about after reading a chapter. You could do both.
1397  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to forget her? on: December 22, 2022, 05:24:43 PM
I am assuming it's someone who you have been in a relationship with. From experience to forget or get over someone, get busy, try working out, hangout with your good friends, or start a pet project.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 20, 2022, 01:52:35 PM
It's almost like a usual scenerio in every transfer window that Manchester United will have a number of players on their list which they will end up buying none lol. Antoine Griezmann to Manchester United feel unrealistic to me though but we shall see whether Manchester United can go against odds and pull this one through. Griezmann was so impressive in the world cup and I'm pretty sure that is why United are interested in him.
I do not see any problem in getting Antoine Griezmann even though some fans may think that Ten Hag won't sign him because he is old and want his focus is on building young average players.
He'd be playing as central forward to drop deep so Bruno can get run off him, going wide and everywhere else on the pitch creating chances of play for Rashford and Antony.
1399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 20, 2022, 10:50:02 AM
When it comes to futures, we want our money to grow with the lowest possible risk and the biggest potential returns and rates of return. Although there are wise ways to approach it, there are no quick fixes to become wealthy.

1400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance lots of FUD on: December 20, 2022, 09:57:01 AM
Just remember that all this FUD is a great buying opportunity.
I am a great believer in CZ and Binance, obviously, they are guided by strong principles.
In the end, I know Cz and Binance will overcome this planned attack on them. Kevin is the villain in this story and he should be blamed for the FUD.
