From my experience, I think BPIP misses about 0.2% of the accounts. If you're looking for a Merit history, I have complete files. See my merit analysis thread.

I'm actually curious as to how much mods get paid, but I don't expect anyone to answer that, nor am I even asking the question.
It's Bitcoin: see the blockchain, Mods' addresses are in their profile.

If you have to deposit to withdraw your balance, it's very likely a scam. OP, can you escrow enough funds to ease people's minds?

I copy long posts to a file once in a while when long posts take a lot of time. It's also useful if I ever mess it up editing later.
My Firefox usually restores open editing too when I restart it. Have you checked your browser cache for a copy of your work?

Judging by his feedback from greenspaces, he was an " Angry kid annoying the hell out of forum members" 5 years ago already. The only thing that changed is that he moved from the Altcoin boards where barely anyone reads his posts to Meta and Reputation At more than 50 posts per day, I now see threads with an ignored post almost every other post. This summarizes it nicely: cryptohunter you need to go out & get laid, find a fucking hobby or something man.

I checked the first user on your list, and he has sent Merit recently. I'd like to make full list now

Can you add a circular arrow from DT1 back to DT1 saying "DT1 (dis)trusted custom list"? And add "Member and up" to vote. That makes it more complete.

I had about 7 of them deleted, and that's while having him on ignore.

An easy fix would be to move the thread to Auctions, if they allow it there.

That's why the troll targets others: it take a while for them to figure out he's not looking for an answer, and when they do, he targets someone else. I'd say he should have a 14 day ban to cool off from his trolling. Constantly posting offtopic can be a reason too.

Enquiring minds want to know what BPIP stands for ( other than freedom of information )

I maintain that list already and can easily add another weekly upload if you want to give it a try.

When the forum first introduced the merit system, everyone was given enough merit to keep their current rank. For example, since I was Legendary at the time, I was given 1000 free merits. I currently have 1537 merits. 537 of those were earned by me, and 1000 of them were given to me for free. There are a bunch of people with over 1000 merits, but make spammy posts (ex BTCEvo in my opinion, who has 1007 merits but posts that repeat what has already been said/don't make sense. Only 7 of those were earned by them) Is it possible to find that out via the UI? If that's not the case I think the only thing we can do is to increase the treshold. I can get you a list of users who earned more than a certain amount of merit. Does that work to whitelist them all? Even if you put the threshold at 2 merit you'll rejected most spammers.

Would it be an easy fix to change the extension logo for banned accounts?

Do you make the lists manually? I can probably script something when I'm back at my desk. It would be nice to keep a record of changes for every week/month to come.

See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5051725.0 for examples. I'll add OP when I'm back at my desk. 0.05 Merit per post is far too steep as a requirement. Spammers won't even reach a fraction of that, and spammers are the only ones who should be stopped by merit requirements.

You are in my list because I trust you with my fund.
That's not why you should add someone to your trust list: if you trust someone with funds, leave him feedback. If you trust his judgement (on others), add him to your trust list.

When alia had her issues I read that there were a demand for coming in live video to prove ownership.
That idea came from alia, and would possibly have resulted in a video chat with an underage sex worker. It won't disprove anything. I bought that account.
It's enough. I don't see any point of further discussion. Account buyer can't be trusted as well. That depends on when it happened, there's a bought account on DT2 now.
