Will it be allowed to pay for both pools in one transaction?
Sure, as long as entry for each pool gets on the right address. I am usually paying entries to several pools in same tx, don't know why would anyone object to that. You just have one input and multiple outputs.

Leaning towards 1.5 mBTC fee after reading all your comments in both threads. Wil be final in a few days when I officially open sign ups.

I understand that most of us participate in numerous pools that could make the amount rather cumbersome at a go, while some other would be pool selective and it's easier for them join those few pools, but in the end it would make sense to have something to worth fighting for through course of the duration of the league, so any amount decided for the entry fee would be fine and make sense in correlation to the participant numbers.

Today Laporta said about their new player they want to hire who is Vitor Roque and this player is going to join Barcelona soon. This will make Barcelona pay 74m for him.
However, Laporta said they have some financial issues with this player and this transfer is not going to be easy for Barcelona.

https://twitter.com/BarcaUniversal/status/1678857587154878465?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet

According to multiple credible and verifiable sources, The deal has between completed between both clubs, but Victor Roque will not be joining Barcelona until 2024, next year, however, it is still very unclear whether or not the player would join Barcelona in next January window, buy the end of the upcoming season (That's next summer).

The main reason behind Barcelona being unable to sanction the deal out rightly is due related FFP rules and protocols, so my very opinion on Barcelona spending as much as 74m on a player who is not going to be joining the immediately or have an immediate positive effect on the team, is another act of desperation, and that's how we found ourselves here in the first place some years ago with the Dembele and Countiho and Greizmann too iirc. The 74m is what could be used to bring in at east two players, to provide proper squad depth to areas such as the left back position, and midfield which was left by Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, without proper and decent replacement for these players, Barcelona might actually struggle a lot for all season long.

Jesus, what happened to her? Svitolina killed her in the third set with an easy 6-2. It was the second time that they meet, but Svitolina is 76th on the WTA. That's why I don't like women tennis... Always full of surprises.

Was the game over before the deadline for after? I'm not in the cup so I didn't wanna wait for the last second to send my answers.

Well, Svitolina was Top 15 in ranking before maternity break, so, it's not that Swiatek lost to no name player. But yeah, most part of game Swiatek didn't played her game. And in general, she isn't doing very well on grass, 1/4 final is already her best achievement.
If I'm not mistaken game ended before deadline and I waited until end of it to sumbit answers

Svitolina really doesn't play like someone who had just had a baby around 10 months ago, she's mastered her craft since she returned, and she's done a really good job to deserve a place in semi final at Wimbledon, has she's to face a number of tough opponents too, so her semi final game being a match against Vondrousova made really she's probably destined to get to the final this because, she's got the fairest opponent for that regardless of would be outcome of the final 4 players in the remaining 2 quarter final fixtures. She's earned it having knocked out Swiatek in what could have been 2-0 in for her, I guess the third  3 round showed that her winning the match no fluke, and I've been keeping tabs on her since match against Venus Williams in the first round.

I don't fully understand the discussion around Haaland because if Haaland wanted to play for Real Madrid, why then didn't he sign a contract with them last season when he came from Dortmund? This is a rumor at best as he also said that he wants to play in the best European league and for him that league is the EPL. He is in a perfect club with a huge salary and has the best players around him and won the Champions League. Why would he have already any other goal than defending the Champions League title in 23/24?

Haaland got everything he needs in Macnshter City and they help him to achieve his goal in the last season, also Haaland can get enough money there without a problem and laying with players they support him even his coach Guairdiola got a good relationship with him and there is no reason for Haaland to leave his team. That's why I think even thinking about Haaland is not a move for Real Madrid and they are better to think about other players and options they can have like Mbappe.

Haaland as far as I can tell has already found a home under Guardiola's system at Manchester City and has won every possible trophy under just one season with the team, and he's broken unbelieve number of records, meanwhile Guardiola rotation policy also helped him stayed fit for majority of the season, I really don't see why he would want to leave now, except if Guardiola is also leaving the club, then that could bring doubt about how well he would fit into the next managers plan.

As for a potential move to Real Madrid that could have been well on the cards before Haaland had joined Man City and had not prepared to bank on Mbappe from PSG, it would have been a handful for Real Madrid to afford both players and remained within the FFP rules and regulations having already splashed a huge fee on Tchouameni, another major factor as to why Haaland didn't consider a move to Real Madrid would most definitely have been attributed to Benzema being at his prime, and looked like Real Madrid aren't just going to drop him for Haaland then.

Well, we doublechecked to the best of our abilities and won't be home till Wednesday - let's say they are final and if some mistakes occur we'll rectify them later.

The questions for the Cup are here!

We know that Đoković and Hurkacz still haven't finished but Novak's 2-0 up and we feel confident enough about this question. If it goes the wrong way, we'll figure out what to do.

Can we players that are free the this cup round also feel the form, Just increase our thinking, prediction, insight and choice making skills, because as an athlete even when you're not playing you need keep training in order to stay and ready to when called upon or required to play  Lips sealed

And I believe last season, we had two cup rounds per week for the first few weeks, what changed ? or is it just a decision for this reason to have a singe cup tie per round?

After such a huge scare from Iga Swiatek, she's in the drivers seat of this match now, but I'll need to know the answers to the No. 10 question before having my hopes up, does anyone ?

Swiatek after going down a set and face 3 match points holds serves with a 4-2 lead, and this should it for her, but it's going a very huge come back for and also reiterate why she's the current world no. 1 in the WTA.

Vingegaard Is number 1 and Pogacar is number 2. So its a YES on question number 10.

Swiatek Did win the match 2-1 in set.

Thank you,

I don't mind taking that 1 point here honestly, the swing in the momentum of me and mitchr4 fixtures is quite funny, it's goes in my favour after one game and it's all his after the next so finding a common ground against such a tough opponent is satisfying enough for me, to be fair.

However, how the hell did Slissy and casperBGD both had 8 points in such a round like this ? insider information ? Shocked Shocked

🚨 Juventus have been kicked out of Europe for the 2023/24 season.
https://twitter.com/sportbible/status/1678053063079215105

FULL STORY - https://t.co/zG2WQ1asEP

Bad news for Juventus, sucks.

That's such a bad news for the fans especially due to irregularities and greed of a few board members, from having your hope of the CL and then it was about settling for Europa League, down to the Conference league which by their standard already is an insult to the club's heritage, just to discover that you'll not even be having any European appearance at all this season.

And according to the story on the link, they could still face further sanctions if they qualify for next season's Uefa Champions and Uefa have not deemed this punishment to satisfactory to its deciding team.

Its a sad state of affairs when a club legend like De Gea decides to up and leave. The guy's practically part of the furniture at United! But now, the spotlight is on Onana. He might have had a brilliant season, but Manchester United is a whole new ballgame. Can he step up to the plate? We'll have to wait and see.

This season Onana did very well for Inter even though he didn't ultimately deliver the Scudetto and Champions League titles but still his performance as the last bastion for Inter was really very good.
Now if he ends up going to Manchester United though there must be doubts for him but this reminds me a bit of Mendy at Chelsea.
I think Onana can still maintain his form when at Manchester United but of course with a note, he can't fight alone and we know Manchester United's defence won't be too good if there's no Varane and Martinez there so Ten Hag also needs to make some things that can strengthen their current defence.

Onana situation will be completely different from that of Mendy at Chelsea, should his transfer to Man United be completed, because Mendy never flopped at Chelsea, it was due to a change in a coach and the coach preferred a goalkeeper that could play out from the back, and Mendy couldn't despite being the better goalkeeper in terms of saves, reflexes and goalkeeper awareness. Meanwhile Kepa could serve those coaches purpose, hence the reason for them keeping as the number 1 choice.
Onana on the other hand will be coming in as the number 1 choice for Ten Haag even if De Gea as stayed back, Onana will remain at the top of his form for years to come, and fits perfectly into Ten Haag's so I really don't foresee any potential problem here, except the Glazers decides to go astray again by sacking Ten Haag too soon, which seem quite unlikely as things currently stands.

GG just won easily in the final round.

I really need Swiatek to win this match and and I also need the question 10 to go my way in order settle for, that would be the second consecutive week from being in a quite advantageous position to either settling for a draw or hoping for it.

All the ATP Wimbledon men singles fixtures for today have been very interesting so far, I hope Hurkacz and Djokovic will deliver the same kind of atmosphere and not just go one sided from the onset, like that of Dimitrov's upset versus Tiafoe that was brought over from yesterday over rain disturbance, and it was rather surprising for Tiafoe to not have had more than 3 games in 3-0 defeat, amassing just 7 games from all 3 sets against the 24th seeded player for tournament.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 09, 2023, 07:02:39 AM
I think Wemby is doing well on his first game. People is just putting him on a lot pressure due to the expectation even though we all knew that he is still Rookie despite of his no.1 draft pick title. Wemby has a good ball handling and shooting skills which is a good skill set for a 7 footer like him. His body might look fragile now but San Antonio is popular for a good player developer especially if the player has a potential. I’m not expecting a lot to Wemby on this summer league or even on NBA regular season.

The hype before the draft and the expectation are the two things the could put him under a lot of pressure for the season, I however don't expect him to fold under the pressure, He only looks fragile because of his height but he's got some weight actually at 95kg, for his stature at age 19, he's still got a whole career of ahead him so, I'm sure he's going to be a good force for the Spurs roster, and once the regular season start, there will be a different approach to how the coach will adjust his duties so as to suit the team needs generally, Wembanyama just need to keep a cool head, not force plays and be a team player first.

My dark horse for this season would be the Houston Rockets, I think they're looking like the real deal for a team filled with young stars, the addition of Dillion Brooks and Fred VanVleet will surely bring a new chemistry to the franchise, and the likes of Kevin Porter Jr, Jalen Green, Jabari Smith, Alperun and Eason had a good season despite Houston finishing as the 2nd worse team in the league.

Lukaku may have a chance to change totenham so much. Totenham has kane but this guy is not able giving trophy for the club. Totenham may think if it's time to sell kane and then move to the lukaku as a new striker.
It may become one of important step that gonna be taken by totenham but the problem is now lukaku was rejecting an offer from totenham.
Chelsea is very angry caused by lukaku has not been showing respect to the chelsea. Chelsea shall sell him as soon as possible.
Lukaku will not be useful for the club next season.

You're the only person, or the at least first person that would think Tottenham should let Harry Kane and replace him with Lukaku, because I don't think there is any team right now in the world that would pick Lukaku over Harry Kane for any reason whatsoever, Harry Kane is a better striker than Lukaku and that's obvious for anyone to see, he has better finishing touches, more clinical and a better team player too.
Harry Kane for Lukaku would be an outright downgrade for Tottenham and I don't think that's even up for debate at all. Harry Kane is never the reason Tottenham have been trophy less, instead Tottenham is the reason why Harry Kane has been trophy less.

I don't bet on outright odds; why would I wait a whole year for a 1.70 odd profit? It's not worth it and never will be. Outright odds are good for a 1-2 month tournament. BTW, 1.75 for Manchester City to win the Premier League? That is far too low for the risk.

Too low?  Shocked +75% for a team that looks like a skating rink going through all the competitors? To be honest, I expected City quotes to be around 1.35-1.45 no more. Now I have a heavy feeling that I missed some important news and was generally mistaken.

I occasionally bet on outright odds, but that would in case of not so long events like the NBA Playoffs Series, Finals, World Cup and Euro, Copa America or any other ~1 month competition, Not leagues winner which last 8 months or thereabout and I strongly agree with Igebotz here that "The Juice isn't worth the squeeze" except for those whale fanatics that are putting in hundred thousands or millions of dollars on such odds, but it's still not worth it imo opinion having to wait for as long as 8 months for a bet you could eventually lose.

75% - 100% profit on any investment in 8 months is a very profitable business, but gambling isn't a business so why wait 8 months for odds that goes by almost every hour in different sports on a daily basis.

-snip

They missed a penalty, correct?
There were also 2 red cards in the last minute (12 minutes of extra time), there was probably a fight?

not missed a penalty, it was a great save by Trafford, and a big chance after that as well, with another great save (lot of additional time due to penalty VAR review)
and drama on benches too, and two red cards on those

That was some drama to end a 6 minutes added time, if you ask me two great saves from Trafford after the initial penalty being saved, but I'll rather blame the guy with the third attempt and roofed the wide over the net with no one putting any pressure on him. An equalizer would have meant extra time for sure and that could be a whole different game from there, given that Spain had as many attack and 9 corners to England's nil, The momentum could have shifted drastically in Spain's favour, had the game gone to extra time.

seems that England could end-up "taking it home" in next few World Cups, if these youngsters complement existing squad

England already have more than enough qualities in their existing senior team squad, and these young stars could be of some huge importance just like the likes of Kolo Muani, Tchouameni and Marcus Thuram became for France, but then it's all about the biggest question does England have the right national team coach that would trust them enough ? and not stick with the likes of Henderson and co?

I think they can beat Tundra based on their performance against strong Quest. All of them is so good even if they have a weak laning stage. One more game! It's worth it riding with Liquid.

I totally agree with you that Team Liquid can defeat the Tundra Esports, but we shouldn't forget that it was Tundra that sent them down to lower bracket in the first place without losing a map.

I'm also hoping Team Liquid would that perfect my decision then and I dreamer bigger for who wins in the final.

Again rain disrupts the plans at Wimbledon but we have a nice match between Medvedev and Fucsovic just starting under the roof. Bookies made Medvedev big favorite but I think Fucsovic has what it takes to even win this match. My bet is on Fucsovic to take at least one set @1.6 for serious stake and then I have one more for him to win 3:0 at odds over 20, don't remember exact odds at the moment. That bet is just for fun anyway.

That’s a nice prediction though, thought that at first too but I wasn’t that really sure if he could win a Set outrightly but he did, nice prediction 👍....
_______________________________________________________________________________ ____________

I am hoping on Rune to Win first Set and the full match, I predicted that alongside Jarry Nicolas under 14.5 total games.... That accumulated to about 3.2odds and I went all in.

Too bad for you, especially with Jarry winning that 2nd set, there was no feasible way for the Under 14.5 too play out, and Jarry is currently on the his way to probably draw the game at 2 set apiece, your rune bet is the only one left that could playout.

The Alcaraz game is also interesting at the moment as he lost a close tie break but is now back to his form and dominates the second set. Zverev is interesting as well although I think he will again fall apart at some stage before the final in this tournament.

Quite identical to the Djokovic game, Alcaraz is also being kept on his toes, and it's not getting any easier for Alcaraz as the game progresses. Alcaraz would imo just end still being too much to handle for Jarry and would win the game eventually.

but, my pick will probably go to Brighton finishing 11 and below, @3.75

I really don't know man, but the odd isn't worth it in my candid opinion, because Leeds, Leicester, and Southampton are not in the league, and these are the teams you can expect to fight for a spot in the top 10 positions and without them, I believe increases their chances of finishing top 10, I might understand that they've made some sales that could affect their performance, but average point to finish top 10 in the EPL over these years is what you need to consider, how many wins would be needed of Brighton to reach that threshold.

We won't be playing many games next season, so I expect Poch to take advantage of this and make the top4, and if he doesn't, with the quality of players we have at the club, it will be a failure, putting even more pressure on him, as you mentioned.
I think biggest problem for Chelsea is Boehly. He does not understand football, the kind we play in Europe, and that was the main reason for that atrocious transfer window. I still remember you were happy with the signings but if you ask me his transfer policy is the worst I have seen in a long time. You pay 70M for Mudryk, 120 for Fernandez and let Kante, Jorginho and Kovačić for almost nothing. Then you buy Fofana for 80M and let go of Mount. I know they aren't same position but they are connected since they are both English and PL clubs must have them.

Poch is a good manager, I just hope Boehly will listen to him and not do stuff his way.

I can still say Boehly is likely laying the wrong foundation for Poch to fail, Kante, Kovacic and Jorginho are players that should be very valuable to the I understand the need to cut their salary budget, a situation Boehly himself put them in by purchase almost every available in the market. Look at Real Madrid purchasing very expensive midfielders but still kept Modric and Kroos for a years more, so that the new young prospect also learn a lot from them, I still think Poch can make his own decision and not just have a replica tenure with that he had with PSG.

No way are you putting Lampard's problems on Chelsea's management! Tuchel took over the same team Lampard felt was not good enough and won everything, including making Rudiger into a world class defender. Lampard is not simply a good manager; he had everything at both Chelsea and Everton but couldn't do anything. English managers are terrible; none of them have ever won the Premier League.

I'm not putting the Chelsea's failure during Lampard's tenure on the management, but the board needs to take some responsibility for hiring him the first place too, he was never qualified enough to coach Chelsea, at least not yet, what happened to David Moyes after his brilliant tenure at Everton he became an awful coach at Man Utd, and then his spell at was it Real Sociedad ? wasn't any different, but he's been not so terrible being back at West Ham, and you can say that the expectation are incomparable to what was expected of him at Real Sociedad or Man United.

Even with Guardiola dominance at the premier league after 7 seasons in the league, he struggled in the first season too, finishing at the 3rd position and he's never finished out 2nd position since then, and no one pictured such a dominance from him, but here we are, it was easier for Guardiola to stand such pressure because of his experience as manager at all level of the sport as a manager haven managed two of the best teams in Europe.

Poch does not have a title-winning mentality, but he is skilled at getting the best out of his players and developing young players, which is precisely what we want to achieve this season: get back to playing decent football and competing for a top-four finish. His goal this season is not to win the league, so I don't believe he's under a lot of pressure.

I guess we can both agree he doesn't have a title winning mentality, and I don't that's what Chelsea is looking but we'll see, I guess. There is not going to be too much pressure on him, but if he's playing for the just the league and just the league cups, it'll will an utter failure to not make the top 4, wouldn't you think ? and that might be the every pressure he's going to face would stem from.
