1441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do, should do, or not do as Bitcoin supporters at this time? on: June 08, 2023, 06:18:17 PM
Nothing else can be done to exchanges thats failing. Governments want then to also fail, they were suing exchanges here and there. Hold your coins if you can hold them for longer as long as your country doesn't ban BTC, you're fine.

Before withdrawing your coins, buy more thats what you can do.
1442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Vision Pro and its Implication in Online Gambling on: June 08, 2023, 05:54:16 PM

I wonder what this means for the gambling industry, the gambling experience, and gambling addiction. I would like us to discuss this topic.

This is a stupidly overpriced product. But it may sell well due to Apple's branding. But I don't see any impact on the gambling industry unless someone wants to experience casino in metaverse. Usually seasoned gamblers will not want to experience this, rather they would like to focus on the game to make money.

For some newbie gamblers, who had never experienced casino, they might want to try this just to experience it. At the end of the day, entire metaverse concept is rubbish and it will eventually die down.

Apple has the habit to make old version unusable like the old apple phones that we can't install apps anymore because its unsupported by their istore. Yes many will still buy this but I may not. I probably will wait for what Samnsung will release as their version.

For gambling, yes this could be useful especially in card games. You wanna see what the card dealer and players in poker.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 08, 2023, 02:30:34 AM

The poll has very fair result though. 12 votes for yes and no which also means there are just 24 users who participated the votes and it doesn't represent the community.

I may really gamble more if this also happen in my country, its a hopelss situation unless you trade on dex. Theres not much on dex for now even after decade of crypto existence.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of altcoins SEC considers securities on: June 07, 2023, 03:47:47 PM
The funny thing about this is that they decided to exclude Ethereum from the list, there is no way the likes of Solano, Cardano, BNB, Tron, XRP are Securities and Ethereum is not, I think the case of XRP with SEC is now more interesting and I feel it is in the interest of the space that XRP team win their case against SEC, if they do, I think it will be a great win for the whole space, if they lose I don't know the team with huge wall chest that can successfully go against SEC and win. I think the Proof of Work (POW) coins will gain more adoption and people will likely go back to POW coins and it will be free for all rather than VCs getting huge token allocation

This is what Garlinghouse was also saying which if they win the case, evey altcoin will also escape from SEC's troling every altcoin. Too bad for LBRY since they were themfirst to fold and they have no funds to fight back.

SOL, ADA, BNB, TRX, qnd XRP wil give SEC a hell of a fight. If ETH is not a security then the rest will also not be a security, they're all the same.
1445  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance again under pressure? Sued by Sec? Or its just a FUD again?! on: June 07, 2023, 03:04:18 PM

SEC can always accused binance ofmjust about anything but Gensler alone has been saying a lot that people in crypto couldn't really believe. Even the congress witness it themselves for one moment he says a token is a security and then next he was questioned he couldn't say a thing.

SEC accusing binance is a very targetted exchange where there are tons of exchanges before Binance that still operate today.
1446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should cryptocurrency be banned in a country with a population of 240 million? on: June 07, 2023, 01:35:33 PM
At present, implementing a ban may not be a favorable course of action in your jurisdiction due to the significant number of individuals already involved in cryptocurrency. However, it is possible that certain wallet software or exchanges may be prohibited. Nevertheless, due to the inherent nature of decentralization, no government would ultimately succeed in completely banning the usage of cryptocurrencies. In the event of a ban, people would resort to trading on the black market. A similar situation exists in my own country, where Bitcoin is not officially permitted, yet I and many others continue to use it. We engage in local fiat-to-crypto and peer-to-peer transactions. The government's attempts to impede us have proven ineffective.
Not surprised if there are many underground dealings here in my area even if Bitcoin isn't banned in here. Nobody can just stop something that's not being administered by anyone. Government around the world could still go and find Satoshi, but we've been at that for almost decades and people have been creating BS conspiracy theories about their identity.

On the event of my own country banning Bitcoin, there would be plenty of users using VPNs since it's highly likely that the crypto exchanges would be blocked already. There's just always that hole that people can do to bypass these restrictions.

Undergound dealing like the terms and condition of FAFT for Pakistan inorder for the country to be scratched out of the graylist is to ban crypto. Its said in the article the reason Pakistan was in the list was because of terrorism funding. FAFT probably suspect the country supporting terrorism too and one condition it to ban crypto for theres a growing use of it.

1447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 07, 2023, 02:04:28 AM
Government banned bitcoin trading shouldn't be the reason why you should go and gamble all your coins because there is a high tendency that you will loss your coins, which makes it a dumb idea. I will move my coins from the exchange,if I was a trader to a noncustodial wallet where nobody will know that I have such bitcoin in my possession because I am in control of my coins and there is a high level of privacy. I will buy more coins and hodli since I will be using a decentralized platform which makes me invincible from the government. The banned of bitcoin or crypto by government shouldn't be the end of our bitcoin journey

One plan to do for most hodlers is to just send the coins to a wallet and keep it there. If they wanna keep trading still, there are dex to use for it.

But the option play on casino will still be in my mind and maybe because I'm used to betting already and DEX are not as great the CEX in trading which one option other than trading is casino.
1448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deciding to save money in Bitcoins for the future of the child on: June 07, 2023, 01:48:46 AM
If the situation continues like the way Bitcoin is increasing in popularity and people's trust in banks is going down, in the future people will save Bitcoin to secure their children's future. However, an important piece of advice when it comes to Bitcoin storage is choosing a security system and wallet. Storing bitcoins in a safe wallet will secure the child's future.

The idea of Bitcoin being a birthright for our kids I think is a must to secure their future. While a person still have the capacity to work and feed their family, buying BTC wiill be worth it like a property to handout before you checkout.

But also don't put all your eggs in one basket. Fiat still is going to be as useful as it is. You will end up selling those coins when you are out of cash.
1449  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 50 gambling Instagram & TikTok accounts on: June 06, 2023, 06:31:21 PM
Barstool's pretty good but they're leaning towards more of a variety content nowadays, most of the time they post memes on their social media channels so I can't really say they're one of the most reliable sports/gambling news source out there anymore, but they're definitely as entertaining as ever. Bleacherreport seems to steer towards the same type of content nowadays, which I think is what works for them revenue-wise cause that's what brings in the money but for diehard gamblers and supporters out there that rely on them for news and updates this is not good as you'd have to scroll from the hundreds of videos they have made for content purposes before getting the video you need.
You are so right my friend, I think it's not just those you mentioned, the majority of gambling news channels, have all deviated from their real purpose, and I personally do not blame them for when making money is the ultimate goal, it is no surprise for such deviation to happen.

I have a gambling channel I am subscribed to on telegram, the channel has pretty grown, in their early days, they were very constant in posting only gambling related news and update, and maybe from time to time, advertise a casino or two.
But today, alot have changed, they now shill meme coin fund raising campaign to their users almost two or three times a day, at some point, I felt like leaving the channel cus I felt they've been hacked, but I see they still post gambling related content, but no as frequent as before.

The owner's goal is to make money outmof their channel. Although occasionally they are hired to promote casinos but I think they started by promoting affiliates.

There are many of these channels including those on yotube and they were just reviewing casinos. Overtime as followers grow, it becomes easy for them to influence audience to sign up.
Easy job for them.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 06, 2023, 05:28:45 PM
Even if casino add this kind of competition for betting, in which section would it be? Other ? I believe gamblers rarely enter this section. I bet not many will be interested in such placing bet for such championship, as it looks studit to lose money with such bets. People would bet on something they are familiar with. Sex championship - even if there will be such a sport, it will be still new and less interesting.

Let's suppose the betting sites offer the betting for sex tornamemt but how will they decide the odds. Even if they give almost similar odds to both the sides, how will the players will select the player to bet on.

We never know the strength and weaknesses of the players as we will be withnessing all of them for the first time  if we bet on any player, it wil be pure luck as no player history would be available.

Casinos will not add this sport. Its a plot. Casinos today are not asking KYC to users withdrawing small amounts but if they are considered a porno website, everyone will be asked to submit even those who are not depositing yet.

A porno website turning into a betting platform will be a new twist to this story. Yep thats adoption because maniacs are coming.  Cheesy

1451  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance crisis - how will it affect the crypto market? on: June 06, 2023, 05:15:35 PM
These and many other negative news stories, about the world's largest exchange, have been in the air for months. Question:
- In your opinion, is this a consequence of increased pressure on China by the U.S.?
- What will the problems of Binance lead to for crypto market and crypto users?

I wouldn't be surprise its one side of a story as there is a growing tension between the 2 superpower from tech war, economic war and the build up on South China Sea.

We already felt the problem over night because of the prices. But this could just be for the media though. Binance being targetted for a long time has already seen this coming I pressume.
1452  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC is in Action After Suing Binance, Here Comes Coinbase Exchange on: June 06, 2023, 04:54:15 PM

Gensler go crazy again. But he will fail in supressing Bitcoin, he knows he is in a losing battle that price is not going zero after he had been doing this for a long time.

He was asked in a hearing just this year which tokens he identifies security but could not answer it directly. That hearing itself will be used against SEC.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 06, 2023, 04:42:05 AM
2. If casinos pick this up and make provisions available to users to bet on this supposed European sex Championship, would you bet?

The big question is there any casino that is offering a bet on this sex Championship? If you know about any site, do inform us too.

By the way, this is just the wildest sports i have ever heard of. Also, i would like to bet on many sports but this is one sport where instead of betting, I wish i could join it as a player  Cheesy Cheesy

They do have a federation or an organization which they may require sex athletes years of training. The training alone I think is worth it already. Practice makes you better.

If I couldn't join as a player, it will still be worth it to watch a live game. It must be cheaper than those Onlyfans page subscription. This is where we can replay the games over and over right?

The mechanics of the sport would really be interesting.
1454  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: June 06, 2023, 04:33:59 AM
So many successful businesses started small and eventually the owners learn the business well which they didn't have any formal business study. MBA are for formality and for business men that wants to start a big business to which they have decades of roadmap.

Small business owner only need the feasibility study proving that the business might posibly work. The study includes strategies from product development, building a system down to marketing.
1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fud or Its Reality? BTC is Down Again on: June 06, 2023, 03:56:19 AM

What SEC is not seeing is that Binance will fight this. Binance is richer than Ripple and can last more than a decade fighting this case but at the same time the exchange will really be moving out US.

The more it wil be harder for US to regulate crypto outside their country. SEC is looking for another victim as Ripple seem to have got away.
1456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 05, 2023, 04:35:46 PM
Europeans are probably one of the most liberated or open when it comes to these things but making it a sport has got to be the weirdest of them all. Maybe because prostitution is legal in some parts so they had really no issue making sex in public legal. Some Bookies will probably try to open lines for this but it will most likely for European markets. I'm not betting.

Japanese are a lot liberated than them, you can tell by their prostitution laws as its legal in their country. But sex as sport is just too much. This idea could possibly just come from Eipstein. This will destroy the next generation to come as it would be normal formthem to have sex along the sidewalk.

Married couple close doors when they have sex. I'm very careful not to tap my wife's butt at home because I don't want my kid see me doing that as a joke.
1457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Purpose of purchasing bitcoin! on: June 05, 2023, 04:22:48 PM

It would be stupid of someone to buy something and not know what its purpose. You don't accidentally buy BTC because for someone nowadays, BTC is too popular.  And if you did buy even just a fraction of it, you know your purpose and its either for your investment or you wanna gamble.

I know one kid buy BTC just to impress his IG followers that he is into BTC. Now thats one heck of a purpose.
1458  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia and others, move to use Yuan instead of dollar. on: June 05, 2023, 03:00:29 PM
In my view, This development represents a shift in global economic dynamics and challenges the US dollar's longstanding dominance as the world's reserve currency. This poses a potential risk to the US economy, as reduced demand for the dollar could weaken its value and impact the country's ability to finance its first ever deficit.

What this will bring for the coming days and years I think this move could reduce the influence of the United States in global financial affairs and potentially lead to a redistribution of power on the international stage. While the full ramifications are yet to be seen, it is clear that this development signals a changing economic landscape and requires careful attention and a strategic response from US policymakers.

Anyone could see where this going since we're not gonna accept China to be in the equal footing of US when it comes to making policy. Its only the BRICS countries that see China to be the soon world leader which could lead to war to settle this as part of that strategic responce.

I don't really China the world leader but its still the alternative to US since many countries wants independence from US like the African countries which they will be using Yuan for their trades.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 05, 2023, 02:32:06 PM

I think the suggestion to interview the judges after the fight make sense. It may make sense why they gave such scores so that fans are not gonna be just scratching heads. Its not the first time as controversial fights happen over and over even in boxing.

As for Nunes vs Aldana, Nunes will still be the tougher fighter. Nunes being the underdog must be undermining.
1460  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New rules for cryptocurrency trading in Hong Kong from June 1st on: June 05, 2023, 01:14:31 PM

Can Gensler even sue the First Digital as for the release of this FDUSD?

Because if he can and can shut it down and forces the company then its just a company not backed by the government. But because Hongkong also backed this year token that is only for institutions, I think th Hongkong government will back First digital.
Theoretically, the SEC can do anything, but if the company is not registered in the US, does not sell its services to Americans, it has a KYC and AML, and the company complies with other requirements for the regulation of cryptocurrencies, then the chances of such a lawsuit are minimal. The company does not print dollars, but simply issues shares, 1 share costs 1 dollar.

SEC wouldn't look at this different from paxful releasing that BUSD for binance don't you think?
Binance also have those USD on paxful which binance does have real USD on them.

But I think the solution to this is collaborating regulators of Hongkong and the SEC of US.  First digital will be like the Circle or the Tether in Asian market.
