Cartels. Those are big problems. Didn't you watch the news where the US military is about to fight the Cartels as they are now terrorists? I guess that's the plan why immigrants were allowed to get inside. It is to accuse Manuel Lopez of sending terrorists into the country. Time to occupy Mexico.

For once nothing in this current administration can be seen as an achievement. No mention of winning the war or stopping the war for once but all we hear is sending more money to Zelensky and nevermind the homelessness in the country.

Why blame Mexico, when the Biden administration doesn't have any intent to stop the migrant flow? For Biden, a larger illegal alien population inside the USA is beneficial in the long run, as they are likely to vote for left-wing parties once they receive citizenship. Last year of Trump regime (2020) saw around 300,000 border apprehensions at the southern border. For FY22, it spiked to 2,200,000. For this year, the number is going to be even higher. Blaming Mexico, or it's president Andrés Manuel López Obrador for this mess is just a tactic to divert attention.

It's an excuse to invade Mexico but I think the Mexican government is also not up to fight, they know it will only get worse if they fight the US military. But Gringos are welcome as long as they are also welcome in the country. Fair trade so let's just keep trading the fentanyl both our governments make money! Keeping this up, they will see the conquistadors ruling the entire country.

In any case, Trump is leading against Biden in surveys and this is not because they speculate that Trump will be a good president. The people hate Biden and the Democrats.

There is no competition already, Trump will win, that is what makes the Dems nervous, and will probably shut down the government as what's been in the news 24hours. No Trump at all. Problem solved.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 26, 2023, 05:30:53 AM
Sorry if this is off topic. A few days ago I watched the Rodtang vs Superlek match and I was very excited about the match. There's a lot I want to discuss about ONE Championship, or MMA in general. Can anyone give me a link that discusses MMA in general and not just UFC? A thread as active as this UFC thread? Thank You,

This might just be what you mean https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197906.0 which is about the MMA talk - PFL, Bellator, KSW, ONE...

Fans must have been outraged since Superlek won a very controversial KO. Rodtang isn't just fighting in kickboxing, he once fought against Demetrious Johnson and was defeated by a rare naked choke. Demetrious Johnson was once the Goat in UFC actually but also left UFC.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: September 26, 2023, 04:50:19 AM
Personally I don't use chatgpt for sports prediction because I think most of the predictions AI would give will be as a result of cumulative statistics it has gotten from the history of the sporting events, so more often than non AI predictions are usually statistics based as AI do not watch games but get information from statistics provided by sites and analyst on the media.

Depending upon Chat GPT for making the sports predictions is totally wrong. The ChatGPT cannot predict correctly based on the changes in the current ground realities like some key player may get injured or there is a change of weather that may have an impact on a particular sport like cricket.

However, while making a bet, you would like to have some history and stats about the previous matches and the players. Let's suppose you are betting on who will win the football world cup but before that you need to see some of the stats of the previous world cup. In that case, in instead of google, chatGPT may become a very handy tool that can give you information within minutes or seconds.

I would prefer combination of chatGPT plus my own analysis for placing the sports bets.

Most of the time though sports gamblers are also looking into the cumulative statistics to foresee the results of future matches. The Bing AI chat as far as I know predicted the majority of match results.  Although it did make a few mistakes, it's almost good to be used for parlays but it's up for you to risk as well.

An Injury of athletes is hard to predict though so maybe it's still not as preferred for someone who trusts their judgments.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the feature of Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2023, 04:35:44 PM
Bearish prediction despite the fact that there will be a halving coming around next year. You have to take into account that predicting has to have some form of information to back it up as well, this one's predicting for the sake of predicting in my opinion.

Bitcoin Will Never Be $100,000
What makes you say that? Any form of context to give us people who are quite appalled at the notion that bitcoin will never be 100k when 3 years ago it was almost at the verge of doing so? Shitposts like these are so funny but at the same time tiresome cause I know for a fact you're doing this to cop a reaction from us, but at the same time I can't help but react cause jesus christ you guys are so weird.

Bitcoin was just almost $70k not on the verge of $100k. But the majority of the big influencers like Saylor are saying that it will go up to $100k.  You can't really expect what they all say will happen but since Saylor and the rest like Catty Woods are speculating it to be more than $100k, then probably that $100k may actually happen this next bull market.

If not because of the current world economy, then we're just fooled again. I believe it will go way higher probably close to $200K.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election on: September 25, 2023, 03:32:30 PM
Having immigration illegally exists because legally it is not possible for some people. You can't just accept 100k people all at once, you accept 10k of them which is a nice number, then what does the other 90k who can't get accepted do? I am not talking about not accepting criminals, that exists too, you look at the application and background search shows that he was a criminal so you reject him and that person illegally immigrates anyway, that happens and that's bad.

But, if we are talking about just because of numbers? The others who would have been accepted if they were in the 10k but just stayed out because of numbers, would immigrate as well. This is why USA will always have this issue without a doubt for a long time.
Well this is precisely what Trump in his Previous term Criticized , that a Person should not enter the USA illegally, because things always have to go in a more Transparent Direction, because that type of person does not follow the ports to be determined for a country, and if you cannot follow the entry protocols, as they intend to adapt to a Country system that is Practically the Capital of the World , then this is where Trymo says that things are not like that, that you can always Enter and when they enter the country to contribute, to do Things that they need there , not to Anything, not to ask, nor strange things like what they are doing Now , in retrospect the people who are now entering the USA at least in New York already It is not like before, because there are so many immigrants who believe they are in their country, then there is a lot of chaos, Motorcycles riding horses, a series of loves, people lying in the Streets because now work is Cheaper than they charge an hour for the Amount of people there, then this generates a very strong social problem, because this will eventually bring other Problems that are difficult to attack, such as Insecurity and citizen security.

I consider immigration in that sense to be dangerous, then I believe that this is just what Trump was Referring to a few years ago when he Mentioned that a roeblm like the one now could have come, so these things are obviously Policies that have been It is done quite well so that in some problem or something that the USA had, it can make use of these aprsons so that they can provide support to a parotcular government or a presidential candidate. The strategies in the policy are many, so it is not bad to rule out that this could be something that can Cause more problems later , if it is not controlled, a problem can arise that is very difficult to resolve, and this obviously can Represent a great Problem for a Government, but in my Opinion, my way of tThinking must fix this.

626  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I Lost $120,000 ? on: September 25, 2023, 03:03:00 PM
First, you talked to one of them. Not sure why you would need a friend that you are not connected to at all. If you just need someone to chat with, chat with your siblings and cousins, not someone you only met on a chat. I bet those scammers had been watching your activities online and knew you were a good target.

You were lured to OPN with a 2% commission per sale and you think you can do it the entire time. I can understand you want to make money so you go all in.

They are scammers, lesson learned for getting them back is just next to impossible. Take care of your health.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 25, 2023, 02:29:55 PM
I think there's nothing to be afraid of on Inoue's side; Casimero is not a champion and not even very popular right now because he lost his belt, so why not grant the fans' request?
There is to be afraid of because they know that Casimero can compete well against Inoue. If the fight happens, I'm sure it's going to be a championship bout, and Inoue will be putting his belt on the line. Imagine if Casimero wins; that would mean Inoue is no longer a champion and undefeated. Inoue might probably include a rematch clause to redeem himself, but what if Casimero beats him again? That could significantly impact Inoue's future, and people might stop talking about him. Currently, he is a very hyped fighter because of his achievements, so it gives a good opportunity for Casimero if this fight will materialize.

Inoue won't see a point in fighting Casimero since he is up to get more belts. Casimero is nothing to him and may not want anything to do with him unless he has a belt. Casimero is not like Pacman with a huge fan base in the US or Japan. If Arum has to look at how to make money out of this match, he'll have a hard time breaking even.

Lets say Casimero can definitely defeat Inoue, so why would Arum want that to happen when Inoue is his best money maker?
628  Economy / Economics / Re: If They Can Pay off their Debts, Why Don't They? on: September 25, 2023, 01:53:09 PM
Those are crazy debts. However one thing I know, the income which is GDP for every country is definitely progressive as compared their debts. But I see it similar to individual case. Let’s say I’m having House loan and I have X salary. The thing is though my salary is progressional every year I would not put lum sum amount in my loan account to clear it quickly. If I do that then I will miss many opportunities such as investing my money, maintaining my house, bringing new things in my house to make it better, personal care stuff and much more. I would need money to develop those things.

In similar way country needs to look after thousands of ongoing affairs. I’m sure they would also not clear it just like that if they got tenure for it.

Easy to analyze it that way when no one is interfering with your policy. Those countries have some responsibilities and there are geopolitical blocs that will interfere when a country invests their money somewhere and not on their own. The majority of the countries around the world are already dumping US treasury bonds and Dollar reserves including those that are listed by OP so damn sure they won't pay.

For bigger and more powerful countries, it's more convenient to just make war and occupy other countries that can't fight back and exploit their resources.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 25, 2023, 01:41:01 PM
With what happened to Fiziev's knee, he will definitely be inactive for more than a year. He must be the most unlucky person in UFC that whole event. With the knee injury, this is a career-ending injury, he may be able to come back but I doubt he could ever win a title shot.

The fight is very close. Fiziev wasn't throwing volume while Gamrot is close to taking him down every round. Very close that if Fiz didn't have that injury, Gamrot would still win.

Fiz had R1 even though he really didn't throw a lot imho.  And remember it's a 5 round match.  His game plan was prolly to take it easy in the first couple of rounds before going for it beyond R3.  So don't know about Gamrot would still win it.  I mean how sure can anybody be..?

As for the knee, it was prolly a problem he already had during training.  He should have pulled out if his team knew of the injury imo.

Here's the post fight presser.

UFC Fight Night 228:  Post Fight Press Conference
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FO7vxX2s0Y

And here are the results.

UFC Fight Night 228:  Results

Lightweight:  Mateusz Gamrot def Rafael Fiziev TKO (knee injury)
Featherweight:  Bryce Mitchell def Dan Ige Decision (unanimous) (30–27, 29–28, 29–28)
Women's Strawweight:  Marina Rodriguez def Michelle Waterson-Gomez   TKO (punches)
Welterweight:  Bryan Battle def AJ Fletcher Submission (rear-naked choke)
Featherweight:  Charles Jourdain def Ricardo Ramos Submission (guillotine choke)
Bantamweight:  Miles Johns def Dan Argueta Decision (unanimous) (30–27, 30–27, 29–28)
Welterweight:  Tim Means def André Fialho   TKO (punches)
Middleweight:  Cody Brundage def Jacob Malkoun   DQ (illegal elbow)
Heavyweight:  Mohammed Usman def Jake Collier Decision (unanimous) (30–27, 29–28, 29–28)
Women's Strawweight:  Mizuki Inoue def Hannah Goldy Decision (unanimous) (29–28, 29–28, 29–28)
Women's Bantamweight:  Montserrat Rendon def Tamires Vidal Decision (split) (29–28, 28–29, 28-28)

There were comments I've read that this is how the knee injury started.
Gamrot is planning to fight Charles Oliveira as he said. Given that Dustin and Gaethje recently fought, I think Dana will give him that fight with Charles and then Mackhaev if he wins. Straight up to a title shot.

Wow! I really wish to see El Cucuy vs fastfood kid fight. They both like attacking grappling. I really want Tony to get a final win in his career and retire, and to show that Paddy is nothing but pumped UFC project. I would say frankly, I dont like Paddy Cheesy Havent beaten any respectable or top fighter, but acts like in top5 pound for pound Cheesy

Unfortunately, Tony is not what he used to be. Meaning Tony is just there to give Paddy a boost. UFC is just shameless in their matchmaking.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING] Crypto casino scam on teh move again. on: September 25, 2023, 12:50:12 PM
Funny how there's always a someone fallen to classic scam, there's no free lunch.

If someone can win easily through their exploit skill and they currently don't have any money, they can take a loan from banks and make a lot money from it, then payback the loan + interest. No one will give you a way to win or become rich if they can do that by themselves.

Victims are likely in a hurry to make money thinking the offer might not last or given to someone else. Scammers are often going to make you decide fast.

Always suspect them to be a scam when an offer is too good to be true especially if they are the ones who approached you the first. This kind of scam was known before, but they still can find people to fall for it so they still keep doing it.
631  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 24, 2023, 05:29:07 PM
Everyone goes through stress related to money after all over the past few years millions of people have faced financial difficulties due to various problems around the world, including epidemics and wars.

Just remember this. When you are stressed, that just means that you are focusing too much on the things you cannot control. So if you want to get back in the right track again out of your adversities, you just simply need to feel that you are in control of you own finances and your own whole life. So take a pause in your life. Remind yourself that you are the only person responsible.

There's two things you can do. Minimize your expenses or maximize your income. Along with that you have to payoff your debts and start saving so that you have something to invest later in your career and life. Anything outside of your control are just distractions.

That's easier said than done. When prices of basic necessities are already way above the average price pre-covid and our salary isn't also increasing, we really need to do something like turning off the heater just to minimize the bills. When going out just to buy something, I just use my bike.

Easy for a person with no mouths to feed actually but if you are a family man with responsibilities, you are really going to sacrifice stuff that you used to have. No beers and sodas but water. I have a neighbor that I regularly check because as of now I look after one of his kids sometimes, he cooks food and this food is what they eat for the rest of the day from morning til evening. Thats how tight the budget is.

632  Economy / Economics / Re: The Kids buying Mcdonald order via BTC on: September 24, 2023, 02:57:26 PM
I just observed a kid on Twitter doing a Bitcoin payment transaction at McDonald's, and it's amusing to see that they can do it. However, I feel bad for the kid because he spent something like 170,000 Sats or something. Its parent must have a sizable amount of Bitcoin.

But even so, I'm still in awe of how these kids were raised by their parents since even at such a young age, they are progressively learning about the idea and features of how important Bitcoin is to them. I respect parents who do an excellent job of educating their kids.

This shows the paradox of Bitcoin ownership and the mass confusion about how it's to be used in future. What is the point in even using Bitcoin for these type of small transactions, when the fees are often an unnecessary chunk extra and it would be cheaper using a credit card in most situations. Is it a commodity? Is it a currency? Is it an international money transfer service? What is the minimum transactions that are worthwhile for it - hundreds of dollars, thousands? It definitely has useful situations but currencies are most helpful when they are relatively stable, the world economy changes quite enough with costs changing all the time when pegged against a stable currency, why would you want to throw further calculations into the mix?

It comes down to whoever holds the coin though. Whether you as a holder want to spend it as currency or simply want to introduce BTC to your kid as digital gold aka investment.
But that's why it is best to have a stablecoin option for merchants accepting digital USD. More options mean we can save our BTC and not spend it on something that will make the kids obese.

It's never worth it to spend BTC on these merchants when you know that right after they receive BTC, they turn it into USD.

633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhang Vs Joyce II WBO Interim World Heavyweight Championship on: September 24, 2023, 02:23:10 PM
I think Joyce's career is already over. I would love to see him fight Tyson Fury; both are clever, but I think Fury would win easily.

In his interview, he said that he would reflect and would come back again but this loss clearly exposes his weakness do you think he can beat the likes of Tyson Fury and Usyk the way he fights lack of head movement, he is easily hit, I don't know if he will have a chance to be a World champion again he needs to improve vastly.
Maybe he can be champion in England but I doubt if he can as a World Champion there are a lot of great boxers ahead of him and Zhang is not even the toughest in the heavyweight.

Joyce should be removed from the conversation; it should be Zhang who will be fighting Fury because he is the champion, and it will be the unification bout that will happen. Fury is the current WBC champion, while Zhang holds the WBO title, making it a great fight to witness.

Maybe Joyce will be given an opportunity to fight a non-champion, like Wilder or Joshua, but I doubt he would win against either of the two.

Joyce is already 38 years old, not young anymore, so I expect that we are already witnessing the end of his career.

WBO can mandate both for unification. We have not seen that happen for a long time, it's gonna be big but it's one heck of a history if we see a Chinese HW to be the baddest on the planet. Fury is fighting Ngannou next month, however.

And I'm not sure if those boxing organizations are ready to see that happening. Let's say they want it to happen, Zhang will probably request the fight to be in China. Xi Jinping would love to butt in and you can be sure of a 100% win by Zhang.  Grin
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhang Vs Joyce II WBO Interim World Heavyweight Championship on: September 24, 2023, 01:59:00 PM
It seems that the boxing community here has predicted it right, Zhang by KO, those who voted got it 85% and hopefully they got the win here as the odds are very close if I'm not mistaken.

And if I'm going to describe the performance of Zhang, it's methodical, he just wait and stalk and see what Joyce will offer to him in the first couple of rounds. And after his read, he started to work, body shots to confused Joyce early and hit he target practice Joyce chin with that big right hand. I thought that it will be the uppercut that might closed the show, but still Zhang for the KO win.

Here is the video of the fight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=so0miye3rYs

Not me. I truly believe the first fight was just a fluke. But Joyce looks very scared already even in the first round.  That right hook was planned, Zhang knew he was about to KO Joyce.
It's a good thing that I have not seen this thread up yesterday for I would have bet for Joyce to win thinking Zhang's win was just a lucky win due to Joyce's eyesight. I was focused on UFC FFight Night.

Joyce did not say anything about retiring but I think this is his last already.

Good for you mate, at least you didn't get some money to lose on Joyce here. But it seems that Joyce is still affected mentally by the first fight because he has been reluctant to throw his power punches, and very defensive as others have noted.

And so it's hard to overcome if you are afraid to throw your shots and just play defense because it won't work. And then Zhang really goes off in the 3rd round and Joyce had no answer. He try with his jabs, but it was not sharp enough to even stop Zhang from taking his offense and it was a perfect shot and I don't see him recovering from that huge right, it was a perfect counter. Joyce might have to take a rest for the rest of the year and re-group.

Joyce was tagged in the 2nd round also, it broke the spirit in him. Even if he gets up after the KO in the 3rd round, he will not last a second if the referee allows the fight to continue. He was flat face down after a huge boulder hit his face. He may look like he instantly recovered but the referee understood, it's time to stop or Joyce will embarrass himself.

Quite a fight. I would have enjoyed it more if I just watched it live. Ngannou vs Zhang is a bit early to talk about but I would be rooting for Ngannou. I'm a fan.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: September 24, 2023, 08:46:19 AM
Staying in bitcointalk I guess also can't make a gambler stop because casinos are swarming this forum  Grin
As long as a gambler is not yet addicted, he can easily get out and stop gambling. It's those who are heavily into it already who are going to struggle to prevent themselves from playing. They are the ones who even if they set the exclusion program of casinos, come back with another account and blame the casino for not banning their IP. I guess the casino will start banning IP as a sort of help for them.
Maybe that could happen because there are many cases like that that we can see. those who get banned from playing then create a new account and start playing again. make a deposit but when they want to make a withdrawal, the Casino finally suspects the account and carries out further investigations and in the end, the new account will definitely be frozen again.
maybe the casino will implement an IP ban, but they will definitely be cheated again by such gamblers.

Yes, that method is like forcing him to leave everything behind, including not allowing him to access the internet. But it was all for his good because he was difficult to tell the easiest way. But maybe that is the last thing that can be done to get him out of gambling so he can build a new habit that will turn him into someone who is not dependent on the internet. But if he can still be told and advised to do other things, there is no need to do that because he still desires to try to do other things so he can start diverting his mind from gambling.
you are right, that means there is still awareness that can be sought to make such gamblers aware. but that can only be done gradually. trying to give him activities to keep him busy is probably the best option. at least it reduces the intensity of him being online at the casino.

I doubt casinos will ban IP. I was just kidding.
Banning IP will not make money for casinos. Besides the gambler will just move on to another casino and play there so it would make sense for casinos to keep them registering.  Withdrawing large funds will be the concern of casinos, not those gamblers who register and deposit. The only thing that the casino will do is warn users not to get hooked into gambling and if you do call someone to talk to, that's just it.  It's the gambler who shall eventually have control over his habit.

...
Just thinking about the consequences makes me wanna skip town. If these loanshark will just show up bringing their own doctor to take your kidneys out, it will be the end.

To me, if someone addicted to gambling is willing to go for sharkloans in order to make their habit to last a little bit more, I would sadly call that person to be a late stage addicted person; there are few things which are worse than taking those loans (like stealing or murder for money); since I am well aware that those sharkloans usually have a pretty close relation with crime syndicates which won't doubt a single second on killing debtors, if that means to give out a message to others who may consider to try to fool them and run away with a handful of bills.

If someone gets to that extreme, then it would be fair to assume that person already sold or lost (got seized) most of their material possessions. Incredibly sad.

Easy to give up if the addict is not among your family like a brother/sister. Upbringing sometimes can twist someone's mind, it is why fatherless kids often mix up with the wrong crowd or easily stray with life goals into crime and drug addiction if not gambling.

But you would rather see him/her living remotely on the outskirts than keeping his life in the city where he can snap any moment with just $100 in his pocket. He best stays alive somewhere at least even with one kidney than buried inside a barrel.
639  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of war on global economy. on: September 23, 2023, 07:29:10 PM

Prices of everything will go up. There will be hunger, and I don't think you will live long as well, the war today is not like in ww2 where the weapons are just rifles and grenades. War today will include planes with warheads that can wipe out an entire city.  The stock market may be the last thing you will be thinking.

If you survive long enough, maybe you will still be seeing BTC going up but the problem is that products and food are hard to find. If you are able to buy the price most likely is up to the moon.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: September 23, 2023, 06:33:38 PM
The living environment is also one of the reasons why it is difficult for someone to stop their habit. Disabling gambling site advertisements in your browser settings is not effective if you still hang out with friends who often gamble. As long as you hang out with people who are gambling, this habit is very difficult to stop, especially if you have money to gamble with. The desire to continue playing cannot be buried all at once, it needs to be done gradually by reducing capital for gambling.
Consider the most important needs of life, such as food needs, electricity costs, water and other unexpected needs. Gambling habits can be reduced by reducing capital for gambling, if done consistently, over time it will be successful, although it is not a 100% guarantee, at least 80% will be successful in achieving the determination to stop.
