501  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't Stand With Either Palestine Or Israel on: October 12, 2023, 08:31:42 PM
If they read your post they'd laugh at you.

Imagine that someone enters your home and starts stealing from you. You ask them to leave, they don't do it. You hit them, they hit back.
Your neighbor sees you fighting and starts preaching to you both "you should love each other brothers, there should be no fighting." Would you both stop? I doubt it.

Ukrainians lost families and friends to Russians. They won't start loving Russian all of a sudden.
Palestinians lived every day knowing that Israelis have superior military power and will one day kill them all. They won't stop until there's no Gaza. It may take another decade or another century but the goal for Israel is to exterminate Hamas and make Gaza a part of their country.

I quite understand you. In as much as I wouldn't want to take side, I think what we need to actually bring solution to this menace is justice. If the United Nations can be neutral in solving the lingering issues surrounding this continuous conflicts, I believe justice will be served and each side will maintain their lane.

UN is a sham.
It's quite shocking to see Israel didn't bother to ask for the return of the kidnapped people but they just dropped huge bombs on Palestine. Sure their missiles also killed the non-Hamas men. Normally, a negotiator will first respond but they went ahead launching missiles. It sends a message that this is an eye for an eye which makes the whole world blind.  Grin

But this war didnot start last Saturday morning when Hamas attacked, this war started a long time ago with a conflict. Just like the conflict between Iran and Saudi that started a thousand years ago but just recently made a peace deal.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 12, 2023, 07:14:57 PM
Either cross addiction or a gambling addict, I don't see any difference between the both, because I know quite well that when you are addicted with gambling, you are addicted, Either being cross addiction or not you are addicted with gambling, since both is pointing at being over interested in gambling, so basically  theirs so certain things we have to know in gambling addiction, because when you are addicted in gambling its base on you have more less job and chance, but when you being occupied you can't engage in gambling betting everyday, so when you are frustrated in financial aspects it can make you to be gambling addictive also.

Cross addictions is simply diverting the attention of the gambling addict to somewhere else. I think this is very effective actually to make sure the patient is not going to hurt himself.  If he is taken over by the new addiction, he will forget gambling. The awareness of a person can always be taken over by distraction after distraction and PS4 or Wii can be more satisfying than the patient playing slot. I say cross-addiction isn't so bad for a solution.
503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 12, 2023, 06:25:10 PM
Well, at least he can move on from gambling to video game.

It's not easy as is look like but better cross addiction rather than gambling. It's a small money comparing to gambling while you can get a debt and more money to be deposit into the site.

I still call these a win.

My thoughts so.

Eventually, the Slot addict will forget about his slot addiction and then will also be dealing with that PS4 addiction. It's unsure yet what else could grab the attention of that person but surely he can outgrow that PS4. Most likely the computer base games too or the Metaverse games. this is a bit better than PS4, just prevent him from discovering casinos in the metaverse or he'd slide back into the slot.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 12, 2023, 06:08:45 AM
What a shame. It looks like Volk will just spend the 11 days making the weight rather than training to win. There is no time to set up a proper training camp for Volk. They had a very close fight before but I expect the betting odds to make Makachev a heavy favorite due to the late-notice situation.

And there's also Costa just had elbow surgery. That needs weeks of rest to fully heal. Robert Whitaker's name was mentioned as the substitute but Costa continued to insist that he will still fight Chimaev.

It seems like excuses are being ready once Volk and Costa lose their fights.

Its said that Usman who will fight against Chimaev. And whoever wins will hve a title shot against Leon. Its gonna be an action pack match, Usman to land a big shot to Khamzat, he will also be over.  But definitely fans will be expecting Chimaev to rugdoll Usman.

Costa seem making excuses only according to some articles. Chimaev and Costa been trashing for awhile, fans are hyped and then Costa just got injured while the date gets closer. Too convenient.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 12, 2023, 05:58:51 AM
Its why you need to participate in betting on casinos to pass time. Because the longer we wait for another bull market, the frustration also bubbles as funds drain

Gotta get your world spicy while waiting so you on't be tempted to sell your stash and run. Too late for that, the waitmis almost over. Relax, watch news on crypto, economies around the world and the wars thats happenning.
506  Economy / Economics / Re: Energy Crisis 2.0 in the New World Order era on: October 12, 2023, 04:00:14 AM
the tension between Russia and Ukraine will not only reduce the supply of oil exports but also the coal they have.
I totally forgot about coal.

Maybe it's not just oil and coal (energy) that they will try to monopolize, BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) if we look in detail, some of its members have large superior resources that are capable of supporting themselves and even the country. others in particular were able to export the results of their resources to Europe. We can check the data here.
Food Outlook – Biannual report on global food markets - Fao.org https://www.fao.org/3/cc3020en/cc3020en.pdf

Let's look at food production data, especially China, India and Brazil always occupy the top positions in each sector. Maybe what we feel now is energy, but the food sector is also too important for us to miss.

Current world conditions are still heating up, tensions in Ukraine vs Russia continue to flare. Plus Palestine vs Israel. Here we know that Israel is one with America. If the Islamic countries are fed up and unite to help Palestine, we know the direction while BRICS is still able to recruit potential members who have large resources. This is just the beginning of the trade war.

Hezbollah said to have joined already and reports earlier was that Syria was already firing Israel. Seems like all hell breaks lose. Eventually, there will be more joining and the energy market is going to skyrocket soon.

Once richest country in EU, Germany is already collapsing without stable energy source. France might also crumble as less Uranium will be exported to them, it will not be enough to power the whole country. Crazy crazy times.

507  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PayPal Just Announced Plans to Launch a USD Stablecoin - Thoughts? on: October 12, 2023, 02:40:45 AM
Everything will be tokenized soon and Paypal is just one of them since JP Morgan and Blackrock is tokenizing everything base on the articles coming out about their plans. One of it is tokenizing the money we have in our banks.

We are glimpsing the future of what will happen because even the stock market assets will be tokenized ehich I guess they can be sent as currency as well.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 12, 2023, 02:23:23 AM
At one of the local gambling shop I visited during the weekend I happened to listen to a conversation between two bald looking gamblers at the shop talking about one of their gambling colleague who had won a big amount of money amounting to a million in the local currency and due to that win this colleague of theirs' has been avoiding them since e won that money. From their conversation it was obvious that they were a circle of close three friends that gamble together.

After all I finished with my bet headed home and was asking myself what could the colleague act that way avoiding his close friends they all gambling together and just because luck shines on him first he decides to create a distance and class. I couldn't actually annex a good reason why anyone should do that.

Yes, it is possible that the person who has won the bet is trying to avoid his close friends because they are afraid they will borrow the money or ask for the same amount of their winnings. In my opinion, the attitude that this person has is very unethical because he has negative feelings towards his friend just because of a close friend's money so he is shunned.
although gambling is actually personal luck, but as good friends we should always be there for each other in good times and bad because At least believe that a close friend will not leave us even when we are in the worst condition

Yep its possible and he isn't open to doing it because he knows his friends are really going to borrow and because he is the the guy who can't say NO, he'd rather avoid.

If I were one of those friends he ignored now I guess all I can do is just let it pass. It is unknown how he feels base on the story by OP, who knows the guy becomes paranoid after having such amount.
509  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Parlay Bets for this upcoming weekend in all sports areas on: October 12, 2023, 02:08:24 AM
Hello all,

Have any of you made great parlay bets in the past? I would love to know what it was! Do you have any current Parlay bets being wagered that you would be open to sharing?
In casinos a parley bets simply mean multiple games combinations into one bets and this way all the total odds are combine and put in one bet this have its advantages and disadvantages at some point.

The advantage of such multiple bets is that your total amount in winning will be in proportion to the total odds combinations from all games selected.

One disadvantage of such multiple-game selection is the higher tendency of losing from one of the games,  this is why I don't make pre-game selections in this manner,  and the only time I make multiple-game selections and add combinations is when I am betting on live matches.

I have not won any of my multicast snce I started gambling myself. The reward is so tempting and definitely it can get a non gambler betting on such game depending on how lucky he feels.

Pretty sure everyone knew that in the games and rounds section of this forum there are several threads about parlays, completely free to join and you could play completely free risk.

Thats one way to payley bet here no risk involve.
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 11, 2023, 06:05:45 PM
Well who doesn't think about quitting their job and winning the lottery lol.  I think that's a pretty natural human sentiment.  That being said, you can't win if you don't play and when it comes to big lotteries, I really don't play very often so my chance of winning is of course not very high.

Personally I see the lottery and lotto tickets as a waste of money.  I'd rather put the money in some sort of shitcoin as the chances of "winning" are higher more often than not.

Well, shitcoins at least will also go up during bull run but a chance to win in a state-sponsored lottery is next to impossible. Bought a lottery ticket once upon a time, it's funny because I did check the result even when I knew it was a 1 in a million chance.

I get lucky with investments even with shitcoins though. All networks today from ETH down to Arbitrum I think already have memecoins on them, I could never get bad luck If I invest DOGE and SHIB today.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 11, 2023, 03:33:08 PM
For someone with money to roll, taking a break is next to impossible. But it always depends on his decision-making.
Having control can be difficult for someone who has some funds to chase the losses. Up until he has no funds left, that's when he can finally think straight.

Breakeven after several days of trying to make a profit seems frustrating. I have my share of frustration when all you win today are also taken back the next day. Changing strategy can be the reason for the loss.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 11, 2023, 03:09:07 PM
The other 2 colleagues must have been expecting a handout from the lucky gambler. And maybe the lucky one couldn't share because he already has allocated his funds somewhere and he does know how to say it to his 2 friends. Someone also shared the same story somewhere and that's exactly what happened.

He could really just start saying he has plans for the money he won and buy drinks for the 2 as a way of saying it's all he could share.
513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 11, 2023, 05:56:29 AM
FFS!

Recent news, Oliveira is out from ufc 294 due to an eye injury. And guess who has replaced Oliveira Grin Their fight that got a controversal result in the past. I am speaking about battle dwarf - Alex Volkanovski. Wow! What a surprise. UFC hit perfect with such replacement. To bad, it might be a really short notice for Volkan.

Volk is probably expecting a rematch too. If there ever a poll about who should get an immediate rematch between Oliveira and Volk, Volk will likely win more votes. Their fight will keep you sit in front of the monitor savoring each hit. But also unsure how it will end.

But I hope Volk can prepare well for this fight. Volks tough hope he wins this time so there will be another Islam vs Volk III.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: October 11, 2023, 05:28:30 AM
Maybe he is talkin about those games which skills can mostly matter? There are only rare instances that we can lose on them because of a bad luck. For the most table games, we mostly need luck on them to win. Luck is truly unexpected. The less you expect of it the more it will come but the more you expect the lesser it will be.

This is why it's better to just enjoy the game so that you can attract more luck and even if not, you aren't going to feel bad. As long as we try and play, there will be a time that we can win in gambling but most of it were only small. Oh well at least it was still a win right? I think being lucky also has to do with doing a good deed. This is what they say but it happened to me a lot of times now.
Yes, I agree it's better to enjoy the game and maybe we can win by accident. That will really be a bonus for us because we don't expect to win but instead get victory. When playing gambling, we always limit how much money we spend to avoid losing too much. That will help us prevent other bad things where we can lose control faster than we imagine in gambling.

But we also have to realize that luck plays a role in winning. Even though we are experts in analyzing, if the match conditions suddenly change in the middle of the game, we will lose, which has often happened to those of us who bet on sports betting.

But I doubt one will really rely all his sports pick base on luck.
Those gamblers who you said are experts in analyzing will even choose how a fighter will win either by KO or which round a fighter can KO his opponent. Theres going to be luck on it but the reason why the better pick this is because one of them is a KO artist.

OP doing that all the time with bet up to $10, he'd likely lost $500 more before he can pick the lucky one.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone encountered any dog race betting here? on: October 10, 2023, 05:32:05 PM
I've only seen this in movies actually but I never get to see a live race. Don't you think a person interested in this kind of sport is also interested in a horse race?  If they do then, there is more horse race to chase than dog race. There are probably more dog show events these days than dog races.

While this dog race is not very common you won't be seeing an event every day or on weekends. You might just go bet on a real horse race. Not the computer horse race but the real one.  Grin
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 10, 2023, 03:53:38 PM

If you show your skills here, someone will offer to ride on your skills. Either they'd ask to copy your bets or contact to finance you.  Yep, I heard of financing a gambler but the person must have seen potential in the gambler in order for him to offer to finance him. If they both agree I don't see anything wrong in it.

You can always expect something will go wrong along the way with this kind of agreement especially when bad luck comes.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]Adrien Broner vs Chris Howard (Welterweight) Nov 4. . on: October 10, 2023, 02:57:15 PM
I don't like his antics during fight promotions but I cannot deny the fact that he is still capable. He's fighting someone his age and not some young dude who has immense potential. Probably just another handpicked match to boost up his record and maybe title run. I cannot find an open line from major crypto sportsbook yet. I'm hoping Broner is the underdog in this fight so I could bet more hehe.

Looking at Broner's record, he actually fought this year last June against Bill Hutchinson to which Broner defeated this guy by UD. Broner seems to be active after all, but just very stealthy I guess he lost his fans that's why even the media is not covering him. Arum still wants to extend Broner's career so they pick the ones that he can just crush.

Adrien's latest stunt was this https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vmAAQaG8xtY accusing McDonald's staff spitting on his food.  Grin
I read Chris Howard was his sparring partner years ago. I guess they wanna make it right this time where Chris can finally hit back and put it on record.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: October 10, 2023, 02:20:47 PM

This depends on the goal. If it is to maintain cash flow when gambling and make it easier to control yourself with the records created, then this would be a good thing to implement. On the other hand, if this only makes someone more frustrated because they see losses that are too big and become uncontrollable, then it is best not to keep any records.

I agree with @acroman08, because keeping records or not that makes us bad as gamblers, but our wrong management that will make us bad. Because it is not recording losses and wins that will make us gamblers who are too eager to win. However, uncontrolled inner desires that increase addiction and greed make things worse.

Agree.
It's not like a business where the gambler has to have a balance sheet and there is no one subtracting the taxes from the withdrawals. To me, it is not necessary to have those records.

I have no reason to look at my losses as it just makes me regret what I'm doing so no records. But If I wanna do it, I would just look into the history of my account from deposit history down to betting history which I think will reveal how much I have lost.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you not gamble on women sports? (tennis not included) on: October 10, 2023, 02:12:43 PM

If you are a woman, I think it's normal for you to support women's sports.  I can see this could turn the subject into something else.
Obviously, the majority of the users in this forum are men so it's understandable to see discussions for men's sports and betting. It's always men who discuss sports and betting.

Somehow a group of ladies doesn't always discuss sports with them, they just talk about boys. I don't even see the women talk about WNBA that is supposed to be for them. Instead, women watching the NBA.  Grin
520  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Better Than Digital Gold on: October 10, 2023, 05:51:04 AM
Gold market existed long before BTC, sure its cap is way bigger. But majority of us here will prefer BTC of course, it couldn't really convince anyone to solely leave BTC and choose gold. It is not going to hurt the investor does have gold along with BTC.

Time is very uncertain now so whatever could happen, your survival depends on how much investment and the kind of investment you have. Gold can be paid to someone who doesn't understand BTC.
