441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 20, 2023, 06:38:24 PM
Cross addictions can be bad, but they can also be good. You just need to find the negative things in your life and remove them while replacing them with positive things. People do this all the time in order to better themselves while ridding themselves of nasty habits. I think it can be a very healthy way to do things.

Yeah that most likely should work. For example you want to change career at some point because you are bored to death from your actual job and you quit gambling and buy quite some new courses on Udemy for the profession you want to change your career into it,this would be beneficial.

Cross addiction though is mostly related when you go from bad to worse, for example you go from gambling to alcohol and from alcohol to whores your life never seem to get on track again and as such it is a bad one,the above example is a good one which should be beneficial for the person.

You're just making it in the wrong direction though. What if the heroin addict turns to helm and then just gradually turns to cigarettes and then eventually just chewing gum? From bad to worse is also a cross-addiction. It's possible.

Say you have been into gambling for years then a cross addiction moving to chess tournaments. I've seen people addicted to chess. Maybe even gambling addiction to BTC trading which seems to be common here.

442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Analysis/Signals/Trading Ideas from Tradingview on: October 20, 2023, 05:38:22 PM

Apart from Tradingview do you know any other site where I can see Analysis/Trading Ideas of any technique (order flow, elliot waves, fibobox, chartism etc)?

And do you have any tips to know which are the best Trading Analysis/Signals/Trading Ideas from Tradingview ?

It seems that anyone can share their Analysis/Signals/Ideas on Tradingview....

From a trading point of view, that's fine with me; that's enough for me to somehow learn how to trade. After all, there are also many tools that can be used on the trading platform. So far, I have no problem using it.

Especially since I am making this a practice place to hone myself as a trader in the crypto space that I live in, and so far this fairdesk is quite easy to use because it is very smooth, to be honest, according to my experience here. I'm not promoting Fairdesk; I'm just saying he's pretty cool.

May I ask how many indicators can you add to your regular Fairdesk account?  I just learned about it and wanna try the charts as to whether we can use as many as 5 indicators without having to pay subscription.

@david678345 The exchanges like binance des have a platform where you can set up indicators and all. If are looking for some other sites, I think the Babypips will be a good option to learn some strategies.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 20, 2023, 04:43:04 PM
Imho Fury must, just must win this fight. Otherwise it would be a huge hit on boxing in general. It will be a case, when any guy can came from other combat sports to boxing and with half a year of training beat boxing champion. That is something unacceptable. Boxing champs must be defeated only by boxing champions, otherwise it will depreciate the value of boxing and heavyweight champs.
This is not the case where any regular guy can come from combat sports in boxing and defeat champions. He has to fight against Ngannou after all, he is not a regular fighter and he holds the world record for most powerful punch. But I would still say that there is no need to worry about Tyson Fury. He may even say that it's his disrespect to worry about him against Ngannou. Fury will win this match without doubt!

The two have something to fight for. Fury long against Francis can say goodbye to his undefeated record, legacy is on the line per se. Francis losing his boxing debut means no other boxing match for him after this. No one else such as Wilder will take him seriously if he loses against Fury. He will once again just stick to MMA in PFL which is an unknown platform to MMA fans.

Mike Tyson I think helped Francis gain more confidence, and with the motivation to make a ton of money in boxing he will do his best.
444  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coins.ph hacked, $6 million lost? on: October 20, 2023, 04:21:05 PM

It did not say anything about OKX or WhiteBIT acknowledging whether they tracked the user or allowed the hacker to withdraw from them.  The hacker isn't as smart as a real hacker for he only took XRP of all coins to steal.

He must be a believer of XRP tech which influencers lied about its Roblox integration. So much hype about XRP and he thought, it was the future. $6M is big though.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 20, 2023, 03:35:17 PM
Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ?
Yes of course, I won't sacrifice the love because of gambling. If the consequence is to high like having a deep argument or broking up because of gambling, I wouldn't risk it. It will just stop doing gambling or try to negotiate with my wife because we all know that gambling isn't something that you can quit instantly if you are playing it regularly or it is part of your entertainment. I think slowing down or slow quitting will do until you quit gambling.

It will take an understanding partner to understand that you plan to leave gambling slowly. Otherwise, most partners will like you to leave it instantly as per their demand. One of my friends denied the request that he will not leav gambling and it resulted in lot of fights initially. However, with time , she also understood that he is not risking a lot of money in this and they are a happy couple now. He still gambles sometimes but the frequency is reduced in comparison to earlier times because of marital responsibilities.

Men are just trying to make their wives think they are in control of their husbands' life but in the end, it's always men. They are just lucky because men also love the kids and don't want to compromise the kid's future. Husbands will say yes, he'd forget gambling but the husbands will get smarter every time and will just do it while the waves are not around.

I don't think people will change after getting married. Beleive it or not, you are still you since the time when you are a teen, you don't even feel a different you after 30 years.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 20, 2023, 12:50:57 PM
If you gamble in a centralized casino where you need to sign up or open an account, it's mean you're already share your identity, at least your IP address, email address, username and the Bitcoin address you use.

The only way to stay anonymous during gambling is the site is supporting Tor, which I still not find such trusted casino that support Tor.

Would the IP, email, and username matter to the casinos or the KYC documents?

Because you can definitely just use someone else internet connection and throw away email for the purpose of playing on casinos.  But sending government IDs is totally different from what KYC files for they can know exactly where you live and even your siblings. I'm sure many of us are not ready to share those info but because they are not very conscious about it, some of us are just not minding it and send IDs.
447  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin & Cryptocurrencies: Pioneers of Freedom Amidst Financial Crisis on: October 19, 2023, 09:03:25 PM
What financial freedom somehow is different from the meaning they are saying. Sometimes it means that your BTC is yours and yours alone no one can take it from you.

While I also agree crypto is reshaping our financial landscape, privacy is something that is to be considered in a critical situation. It's getting harder for crypto users to be off the grid when all platforms today are asking for KYC. Once you have data sent, I guess you already have compromised privacy and we in crypto have had fewer options.
448  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the fall of Elon Musk's empire imminent? on: October 19, 2023, 08:33:57 PM

He's a billionaire. Twitter was just less than a billion and he is a BTC investor who is also fighting against the SEC, we're not seeing him fall. If anyone sees the first his Tesla price is falling, it's him. and He may have done something already before that happened. Since he is a BTC investor as well, he could be taken advantage of all these too.

But he folds by the way when the EU threatened his Twitter to be blocked in the region. Not so much of a rebel that he wants to portray.
449  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Crypto Exchange Moves Money for Gaza Groups on: October 19, 2023, 08:01:03 PM
Hold on, wasn't it all over the news that Hamas was created by Israel? How come it's the Russians now that support these Hamas?  Grin

Crazy stuff that they sanctioned the BTC address of Hamas containing less than $30 in it which its last transaction was last year of May. So this is how Elizabeth Warren could actually ban BTC in the US which could be possible also abroad. It's such bad timing but I think this is where Gary Gensler can make an excuse that spot ETF will not be granted.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Casino Industry's Contribution On Your Country By Percentage on: October 19, 2023, 07:23:15 PM
~snip~

In the country I live in there is a very high percentage of gamblers who play on foreign online gambling sites, because it is officially allowed to play only in a few specially designated areas for gambling. Many people do not make sense to lose a day or two to get to a land-based casino located in one of these territories, so a lot of money goes past the tax system of the country. I believe that this is a shortcoming of our authorities.

The government missed so much money that is leaving without them profiting from it. Most countries however have their own sponsored lottery game where the locals can buy tickets in different stores. If this lottery contributes a large percentage to the economy, the more the country could get if they allow online operators.

The catch however is that more of its citizens will be hooked into gambling. Bad enough with the terrible stories about housewives who are just addicted to social media. If housewives get hooked on casinos, its the end of it many will be divorced.
Government wouldnt really be that so dumb that they wont really be putting up control out of these things despite of benefiting huge when it comes to taxes but they shouldnt really be putting up risks
for its citizens to be that addicted on which it would really be that potentially be a huge risks or problem that they would really be able to encounter which it would really be a huge toll despite of those benefits and this is why it would really be just that right that they should really be doing things in controlled manner. This is why we do see some places or countries on which it do really puts up emphasis on gambling but still able to have that kind of control when it comes to extreme addiction into its citizens whereas there are places on which totally bans gambling due to that kind of potential risks
that it could really be applied into their vicinity on which this is something that they dont really like. As for % here in our country then it is really that totally banned or not allowed.

What the government do before everyone is hooked to casinos online is to ban advertising of the casinos. Even today it's all banned in different countries, and casinos are only exposed to people who follow some influencers who also promote these casinos.

Despite that, a lot are still driven to try playing and casinos are making money and the government collects tax. There are still benefits in regulating casinos and allowing them to operate, when it gets tougher and the government really needs money, they won't mind the risk and can soften the regulation.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 19, 2023, 07:06:18 PM

You're right, it really helps if the adds, websites and anything else related to gambling are blocked, but I don't think that's enough.

For me, we can't really prevent them from knowing about gambling, it's better to give them an idea of how harmful gambling is for children so they don't try it anymore.

I doubt parents can be fully aware or have total control of what their children are doing and being exposed to. Children, perhaps being in a haste to grow up are quick to copy and imitate actions and behaviors from adults around.

Children can also get more curious about things parents visibly try to keep away from them and having parental control over what shows on television they can see or sites on the web deemed inappropriate can for a while, have the desired effect, it cannot fully suppress a young curious mind.

We obviously shouldn’t do or say certain things with kids around. But we also cannot shield them from the ugliness of society forever. We should be more open to them as they grow about actions and the consequences that could follow.

Before doing so make sure the kid already knows and understands responsibility. Sometimes it has to have timing before you can show them gambling otherwise the kid will ask why you gamble when it can do harm to you. Remember that parents are their superheroes, you don't wanna look at you like you are more confused than them.

As much as possible, it is best that they learn gambling not from the parents themselves. The impression to them is a lot different.

453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: October 19, 2023, 03:37:53 PM

Let's discuss the unique challenges of responsible gambling in the world of cryptocurrencies.

Crypto gambling can be fun, but it's important to keep our financial boundaries intact.

Share your tips and thoughts on staying responsible in this digital realm.

The temptation to gamble is very big, even when you are in a losing position, you really want to take out borrowed money to return the capital you lost at the beginning, and you are lucky if you don't take out a loan to gamble.

In general, responsible gambling is gambling without using money that you can lose - setting a capital limit when starting gambling - determining the duration of gambling - not trusting any invitation when gambling - only playing on gambling sites that have a good reputation.

Be a responsible gambler, you can still earn money, but if you change to a gambling addict, your real life will be really messy.

You'll be caught in the middle when you are trying to be responsible and at the same time wanna make money.  You can control yourself more if you are into sports because you can think and research and ask opinions if you want cause there is so much time before casting your bet on a sports match. Makes you responsible for you can cash out if you suddenly change your bet.

With casino games like blackjack or roulette, you are to keep playing without having to think through at times.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 19, 2023, 02:55:25 PM

Adesanya as he said will not be fighting for a long time. The MW division is getting too crowded with fighters that easily outrank each other now that Usman and Chimaev are moving up. Adesanya can watch who will take the belt from Sean and Dana will match that fighter with Izzy. A more marketable match is when Izzy got the belt back and Sean vs Izzy 2 will be made.

Usman said his knee was fine. Looking at the video though, Gaethje did ask him if he was okay after falling that way on him.  IDK maybe he is just fine.
Usman walked fine during their face-off and it was intense. https://www.instagram.com/p/CylUmYjRI3l/

455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquaio vs Mayweather 2 rematch on: October 18, 2023, 07:20:08 PM
Not related to the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather 2 rematch, I just wanted to share that alleged Manny Pacquiao's son from other woman has made his professional boxing debut.
Pacquiao Jr. (Emmanuel Bacosa Pacquiao) greatly resembles his father not only in appearance but also in his fighting style. It appears he has inherited his skills from his father and I hope he continues to carry on his father's legacy in the world of boxing.

Has anyone here seen the fight? If not, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY_a29p3a0M
Expecting the same kind of performance that his father had from this kid is simply unfair, Pacquiao is one of the best boxers ever and probabilities alone dictate that it will be almost impossible for two fighters of the same level could appear on the same family, just look at what happened to the children of Chavez which is the best Mexican fighter ever, his kids were bad inside and outside the ring, so as long as this kid can avoid tarnishing the reputation of his father and can become a champion I would consider that a success.

He doesn't have the skill. What Manny Pacman had during his teen life was just boxing which he put all his hopes into. This allegedly son of his is not near to what Pacman can do during his amateur days. It's all on YouTube, he managed to KO older than him while he was a teen. Most boxers who tend to become the greatest are like Mike Tyson who rose from poverty. Pacman did the same. Most of them came from poor beginnings.

Still, I doubt this rematch 2 will happen unless they are really paid in huge amount of money they can't refuse. This could be needed for the people to look into boxing and not the wars we see today.
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 18, 2023, 06:03:42 PM

There are times they lose and also win. More reason to continue is they are hoping to win. As long as they have funds to bet, I think the gamblers are still going to keep playing. In crypto though, they can use the free spins and some coins we earn.

Either we have the motivation to continue gambling or we are just addicted. Some of us are already in it without minding it. I guess it's still fun to play despite losing many times.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why meme coins are trending? on: October 18, 2023, 05:05:43 PM

Opium meme tokens will stray meme investors to the old meme tokens that have become popular since the last bull market. It seems too early for a meme token to actually pump its price to $0.04. The short-term investors will really grab the chance to make money at such pumps and forget the old Doge or SHIB which will also be pumping when the time comes.

Not really aware of other meme tokens that are on the rise. The ones that I might just be watching still is the SHIB.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No scam sportsbooks on: October 18, 2023, 04:37:57 PM
Does anyone know any bookmakers with a wide line that are not scams, it doesn?t matter whether it?s a crypto bookmaker or a regular bookmaker like bet365 alternative  ?

You are in the Bitcoin forum so you'll get crypto bookmakers for suggestions. The most popular so far is the Stake.com.

The internet is a small world that with one research, you can already see related sites and bookmakers that were accused before which could have been proven to be scams and just accused. Some users I think got into bitcointalk because they searched the casino that scammed them and found out people already knew they were a scam casino a long time ago.
459  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 Smashy.GG - Decentralized Solana Casino on: October 18, 2023, 04:26:09 PM

The domain extension .gg seems to be preferred by lots of websites these days, not sure how this is being favored by the search engines.

The word GG has significance for players all over the world it is widely used for Good Game its more like a fist bump for gamers done in chat, or after the game gamers can relate to the word GG so many webmasters adopt it when thinking of a domain extension related to their gaming platform.

About the .gg domain
Quote
.gg is the country code top-level domain for the Bailiwick of Guernsey
Usage in video games
Multiple video game, streamers and esports websites use this domain because "gg" is a common initialism used in multiplayer video games as an abbreviation for the phrase "good game", usually said at the end of a match
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.gg

Good to know. Seem like more gamers are used to seeing such domain extensions. There used to be .io extension that also became popular at some point but gradually people are going back to its .com still. Registrars are just making more and more extensions these days.

Anyway, Smashy.GG could be what gamers might like if they are also a fan of SOL depending on how the casino markets their site which will also take time to build trust.
