1481  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: A thumping Mandate by the people of Bharat!! on: May 25, 2019, 10:03:27 AM
If you could not see the changes, then you need to open up your mind. I guess it is futile to give a list of changes that has happened in this country (structural, political, economic and bureaucratic). Petrol prices are linked to international crude prices and if you are so upset about the taxation on crude products then you better stop using the roads. The massive infra spending undertaken by the government is paid partly by the taxes on crude products apart from various other taxes.
If every Indian who went to the booth while voting opened their eyes you will not claim these things here, Petrol price hikes can be blamed to international crude prices but what happened when the crude prices came down at an all time low $28 USD, the petrol prices remained the same if not higher as it was when the barrel rate was $140 USD, so what are you talking about. I do not want to debate with people who have other agenda rather than looking at the facts.

I will just post an article from BBC
This article cannot be doctrined by the opposition parties or vested people right since it is a global media, so go through that and then we will have a debate.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB review this week on: May 25, 2019, 09:39:29 AM
Binance next week will definitely pump bnb strong flying. I am swing trade between these two coins.
1. Aim now: increase the amount of coin bnb as much as possible
2. After CZ pumps bnb, change to the target of increasing BTC

Can't choose to raise both coins, energize yourself and hit your hands.
That is a good way to make some good profit in a short period of time, i never entered BNB as the risk was too high to get involved after the hack and i knew they will hype and pump up the coin for the time being to make sure that people start investing in it and start trusting their platform once again after they lost a substantial amount of money because of their incompetency to secure the system, the price has risen as you predicted and hopefully you get out at the right time  Cheesy.
1483  Local / India / Re: Crypto hearing in Supreme Court today on: May 24, 2019, 10:27:13 PM
I mean come on! I live in a place where there's barely any consistent electricity supply. A simple stone is thrown and the police shuts down internet services for fear of 'communal riots'.. lol it'd be a joke to expect such a country to advance to a level where our grandparents are able to understand the prospects of crypto.

Come to think of it, it is the grandpa generation that's blocking it. Old fatass politicians I mean.
Are you serious about police shutting down internet service because of the fear of communal riots  Shocked Other than metropolitan cities in India, having a consistent electricity supply is a dream and every Indian can vouch for that situation  Cheesy. The political parties are there to make money while they are in power and the last hope of having a change died with the election results coming out.

On the other hand Indian ministers and officials continue to paint Bitcoin in the wrong light because implementing such a currency in the payments system would mean they'd actually have to lift up a finger and work... Something that is against the ethos of the "Indian gov. salaried employee"
Source 3 : https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/05/04/high-profile-indian-government-official-calls-bitcoin-a-ponzi-scheme/
The Indian ministers especially the BJP RSS led government are getting these information from their illiterate group and there is a funny quote in Kerala, they all have education from whatsapp university because the things they say does not have any correlation with facts and everyone in their party have the same knowledge  Cheesy.
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 61-year Old Chinese Grandma Convicted For Stealing Electricity To Mine Bitcoin on: May 24, 2019, 09:38:07 PM
And it happened in China, where electricity is cheaper than the rest of the world
Here in Brazil we have a lot of people who steals electricity and this affects the price of energy we pay, it's a shame
Stealing electricity is not a new thing as you can see those kind of activities in many third world countries, but are the people in Brazil stealing electricity for mining, if that is the case i will be surprised  Shocked.
I am not convinced that an old grandma understands how bitcoin mining works and she stole the electricity to mine bitcoin which is really weired, may be someone did that and she was caught instead. I am not a person who believes every media story and that is the reason i am skeptical about this news.
1485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rising, Scams Rising on: May 24, 2019, 08:41:51 PM
I was once cheated on a bitcoin investment site at that time the price of bitcoin was only $ 1200 and the trend of mining and mining equipment investment with the lure of return on capital and large profits then I invested $ 300 after 17 days I invested the site scam even though 1% per day  what I got was only $ 51 and I lost most of my capital there so I suggest that it is better to be careful in choosing sites that we will invest so that we don't get scam
You will not find a single legit site that will give your returns for your investment and if someone claims that they can provide you with profits, just imagine how those profits are coming by and i am sure they will not explain how they are making those profits, they will have a vague response that they will be investing somewhere else and hence you will get those profits which is bogus, the only way to make money is trading .
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: May 22, 2019, 11:17:37 PM
This is not a good trend, I am afraid. Archer was born in Barbados and he played the domestic leagues there. He just moved to England so that he could get higher salaries. Now what will happen if the other promising West Indian players also follow him and move to England? The English are already destroying teams such as Ireland and Scotland by poaching on their best players. They are being captained by an Irish citizen. Why is it so hard for England to find native talent?
Earlier they used to visit other countries and take over them and built an empire and torture the people and loot their money now they are cool enough to accept people from all over the world that has talent in one form or the other, it is a big change buddy in their approach  Cheesy Grin.
England had some good players in the past but cannot find 11 world class players even if we try to check their best all time eleven who could fit into any team in the world but now they have one of the best team around with so much talents coming in and the competition  is healthy.
1487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real Satoshi killed by US Govt - replaced by Craig S. Wright on: May 22, 2019, 07:39:31 PM
I they cannot control Bitcoin or crypto in general, they kill it's creator and replace them with a fraud operating with the US govt.
Now he ( the us govt) can claim copyrights of crypto and blockchain technology.
What implications would this have? Collaboration with the US govt, higher transaction fees ? Disowning of BTC, blockchain copyright, alt coins banning?
This is a bigger conspiracy theory than the reality we have in our hands, for the US government to replace someone who is Australian and a person who migrated to England in order to stay away from the authorities and you think the US government hired him to claim the copyrights, yes i have seen many conspiracy theories in the past, but your one made me laugh. If he filed the application through fraud he will be exposed no doubt about it.
1488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cryto Mining recover in the future? on: May 22, 2019, 07:12:17 PM
I remember the days when I was starting in the crypto world. One of the in-demand that time is crypto mining. Some people are buying and setting up their own mining rig. The income that time from mining was very dependable. You can quit your job and just focus on mining but nowadays, bitcoin mining is diminishing due to the high cost of operating expenses and it is really hard to mine bitcoin.

I'm just wondering if there is achance for the crypto mining industry to recover in the future? Not just about Bitcoin but on other coins as well. What are your thughts?
If you had a good career as a professional then there is no way you would quite that and start mining for a living as it was evident that it will not last forever when industrial mining was a scope even during that time, if someone could make money from home, do you think people with deep pockets will sit idle, they invested heavily in these and so is the reason bitcoin mining is for large scale investors and you think the time will come so that you could mine at home, never  Tongue.
1489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price and Binance on: May 22, 2019, 06:22:10 PM
How many people think the price increase has been triggered by the fact that Binance has stopped withdrawals?
If so what happens to the price when Binance allows withdrawals again?
How come a price increase is triggered by a hack news, check out the past history as we have seen many hacks in the market in our short history and basically whenever there is a hack news, the market tends to come down drastically, but that was not the case with Binance, the market went higher even though the loss was really huge, it shows that the market is not responding to the hack news anymore and binance is not the only exchange in the market  Tongue.
1490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Israeli court rules Bitcoin an assets and taxable on: May 22, 2019, 05:18:06 PM
In a tax settlement case raised by the tax authority of Israel against Noam Copel, founder of blockchain startup DAV, the court ruled bitcoin and cryptocurrency to be considered as an assets and taxable with capital gains tax.

Would you consider it a good more or a bad one for the future of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?
It is bad for people in Israel as it is considered as an asset, every country has their own interpretation on how they view the virtual currency and its market, from where i am located there is no legal frame work and yet we are liable to pay tax as capital gains in order to get rid of the legal issues at a later stage.

in other words yet another government that wants its share of the money that people might have earned from the cryptocurrency market because of the bitcoin price rise that has happened in the past.
Government survives by looting people who makes money, so it is not that surprising. Grin
1491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $9,000 by the end of the year on: May 22, 2019, 09:41:52 AM
A $9.000 is just 10-15% higher than the price right now, it seems like a very little different from the present price. I think we will see many pumps and dumps in the next 7 months. I think the price of bitcoins will go above $10.000 before December and stay up there.
It is a highly possible situation by the end of this year considering the market strength we have right now. The market recovered really well in the past few months and i never expected the market to recover in a short period, the maximum recover i expected by the end of this year was $6k to $8k by it has surpassed every predictions and the market looks to touch the all time high valuation before the halving if the market continues to break every resistance like this.

1493  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question for more experience traders! on: May 22, 2019, 07:50:44 AM
For those who trade both crypto and stocks. Which market is more predictive and easier to trade?
The major difference is the amount of historical data we have in stock market compared to the virtual market, all the predictions we make in the virtual market is with the small amount of historical data because it is a new market and hence not everything that can be calculated  might not be true and we will get errors, in stock market those errors will be fewer but the fact remains that no market is predictable, we can have our intuition about the situation with the data we have, if stock exchange or any exchange was so predictable with the amount of data we had no one would lose money when the market crashed in 2007 Tongue.
1494  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: May 21, 2019, 08:14:11 PM
I have not been really into investing though I have some stocks with a premiere banking firm here in my country, which i just left in my broker's site idle for some years now. What made me excited into investing is cryptocurrency but unfortunately it was not bitcoin but a scamming project called TheBillionCoin which by name itself really sounded so dubious. Okay, I was still innocent and naive at the time. Soon, I meet bitcoin and it was not yet that pricey at the time but because I was not convinced that it can go sky-high I just bought some.
Some of your comments does not match up, you say that you came to know about cryptocurrency through some scam project and after investing in that you found bitcoin, it is really weird and with the time line you are telling that the price of bitcoin was not that high, you believe that the price of bitcoin wont go high but yet you believed that a project who promises 2% daily would give you great returns, just that line alone will make anyone stay away from that scam and yet you invested in it.
About the source of investment mostly everything is done through banks until there was a ban in India for the banking sector to deal with bitcoin exchanges.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 21, 2019, 07:01:02 PM
Not sure about boundaries but it's true that these days they make dead flat pitches so that we can see high scoring matches and seems like this WC will not be a different.

By the way, we have a WC prediction pool. It's free to join however you can chose to contribute if you want which is totally up to you. If you are interested to join us and want to have fun with us then feel free to join the pool.
The boundaries are short buddy than we had in the past, if Viv Richards had these small boundaries i cannot imagine how he could kill every bowler out of the park, just take a look the matches post 2000 every miss hit is going over the boundary rope, earlier there is no way they could get away as it will land in the fielders hand.
Sure buddy i will be joining your prediction pool and glad to see many people in the cricket thread now a days.

I don't think commercialization is a bad thing for a sports.
India is the largest market for cricket. IPL has increased the earning of a player by ten folds. If sports is an entertainment, they should deliver what the crowd wants. BCCI devises laws that would increase the number of viewers and advertisers.
Cricket is no longer a gentlemen game. They are just entertainers doing their job.
If you think high scoring games are important rather than having a battle between bowlers and batsmen then your version is right, there was a time when i used to watch cricket as a battle between quality players and only quality players could perform consistently but now a days every rules favor batsman and i am sure the players who average 50 now will not average above 35 in the past and so is the reason i hate comparing players in different generation.
1496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we buy with one BTC? And is buying something with BTC worth it? on: May 21, 2019, 11:52:11 AM
New article on BlockChain24.co made me realize that I've never bought anything with Bitcoins. I mostly consider it as an investment target. Is it right? Cause this is a currency after all.
And you, are you buying something with BTC?
It all depends upon what you do with your coins, if you want to purchase anything you can very well do that and if you see bitcoin as an investment there is no point in selling now as everyone who invest are in for the long hold and if you want to purchase anything with bitcoin and even if non of the merchants in your country accepts bitcoin, you can sell your coins and with that amount in your bank account and do what ever you want, basically the choice is yours.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 21, 2019, 10:49:09 AM
India basically changed the concept of cricket everywhere, earlier it was hard to see these high scoring matches outside the sub continent,
~Edited~
India?? Bro, how come India Changed the concept of cricket-more precisely ODI?
They commercialized the entire game of cricket and hope you know why BCCI have a voice on everything when it comes to decision making in cricket and even ICC would listen to them, because BCCI is super rich and could dictate things and India has the most loyal fan base and where ever India is playing they could fill the stadium with ease and the broadcasters are ready to pay huge sum of amount, in short the concept of competitive cricket, which means the battle between bat and ball is gone and if you look now the boundaries are shorter now, pitches are flat and every rules favor batsmen.
1498  Local / India / Re: Corrupt government officials and the suicide of a bitcoin trader on: May 21, 2019, 07:11:19 AM
I don't see corruption here but rather the police officers were trying to threaten the bitcoin trader who must have convinced them to invest in bitcoins. I don't know what benefit he got by doing that. He could have just filed a complaint against them rather than commit suicide and leave his family at risk.
Just look at the bigger picture and you will understand whether it is a corrupted official or not, anyone could invest in bitcoin without anyone's help, all they need is to register an account, comply with a KYC and send money through banks and that is the simplest thing you can do to invest in bitcoin, but they approached a third party to invest, we all know that there is no licensed bitcoin broker like we see in stock investment, since they invested a huge amount, if you read the lines in between we could come to a conclusion they could have invested when the price of bitcoin was really high. Since the people who should upload the law was after him, he could have felt like a trap that he cannot escape.
1499  Local / India / Re: Indian Govt Planning Ban on Crypto on: May 21, 2019, 06:48:22 AM
You say that but you are wearing a saffron signature.
 Shocked Shocked Grin Grin
After the exit polls thought of wearing the saffron signature so that they do not attack me for not supporting them Cheesy.

But that's true, just look at the turmoil here in bengal, bjp has successfully polarized people enough that people resorted to violence and grenades yesterday. That kind of shit is okay for a place like Venezuela, but when shit hits the fan right under your nose like this - it is only then when you realize what kind of communal fire this BJP / NDA is stoking.

Shame on modi!
When they came to power i thought we could really see some changes on the positive side and lift India to the future, they advertised really well and they never talked about religion when they were looking for support to get into power and they acted they really had a vision to move India forward from the corrupt government we had during that time, but after getting into power, they just followed what the UPA government was following and then communal violence and others started popping up and all the promise they said never fulfilled and they just took the growth a decade back.
I really hope the exit polls are wrong.

1500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need so many cryptocurrency exchanges? on: May 20, 2019, 11:49:31 PM
There are many exchanges floating today due to the profits they may get in cryptocurrency industry. Many developers wanted to make money using their websites and it may lead to a scam exchange because some devs are making it to fool people specially, new traders. On the other hand, it is good to have many trading platforms because we can see the various characteristics of an exchange. Just like their trading fees, network, liquidity and customer service.
If you are really looking for profit, you need to have a good front end software to attract new customers and it should be user friendly, the real risk associated with running of these exchanges are evident with the numerous hacks that happened around the globe, it is not that easy to run the exchange smoothly but anyone with basic skills could start one, there is nothing wrong in having competition in the market.
