1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Frustrations: Losing Streak on: January 04, 2018, 07:31:50 PM
I know that every one of us had this day when we all thought that it's our day but it's not. I myself honestly say that there are still times that I lose control of everything when this happens, I tend to get frustrated immediately (especially when it comes to poker) when I know that I have a losing card. It makes my day from bad to worst. How do you handle your frustrations when losing streak strikes?

Though before I've reached a point in where I'll be having a thought of chasing my loses, I'll leave the table and look for a dessert or sometimes when I bring my car, there's a clothing that I can rip just to let my frustrations out. (It may sound absurd but it really works for me, after that my mind is clear, no frustrations then I'll go back and finish my visit)
Well we all had that day, where everything goes wrong and things does not go the way you want it to be, in gambling sometimes luck is by your side and some others it is against you and getting frustrated about it is not going to change that, it is a part of the game, you just got to shake it off call it for the day if you are losing and not try to push it, when i get frustrated i always try to find my happy place and think about funny stuff just to change my mod, and i always try to tell myself that i will have better luck tomorow.
1482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your worst mistake in Gambling? on: January 04, 2018, 06:35:25 PM
Never chase your loses, Once you make profit cashout. Gambling is like a circle, if you don't know when to stop you'll end up at the starting point Smiley

The worst mistake I did when I was gambling was when I was trying to win back the loss I had when I gambled all my bitcoin and hit the "all in" button and to my surprise I lost all my bet.
So I tried to win it back again and deposited twice the amount I bet the first time around and to my surprise again I lost it all.

It was even the first gambling site I ever tried to play and I was so eager to win back the losses but could never have it back. I never went back to that gambling site ever again.

I am sorry to hear that, my mistake was similar to yours only the end was not as bad as, first time i started gambling i was puting bets on fottball matchs, i predict the score before the match starts and hope for a win, but only it was not a sure win so what i do is i go and put my moeny on the team that is wining durring the last few minuites of the match to unsure a wining bet, so i put 100$ to win 1$, one time i did this and sent all the moeny i had a t the last few minitues and put it on the wining team, but seconds after the other team scores and it is a tie, so that means i lost all my moeny, but lucky for me the transaction was not fast enough so my bet was cancaled and i got my moeny back, at that moment i decided never to gamble this way again.
1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why people keep trying new casinos? on: January 04, 2018, 05:48:37 PM
A lot of threads in gambling section are basically dedicated to scam accusations. They can be seen every day on the first page. The casinos about which people complain are usually new or known to be scamming people (one can easily check out the trust of members leading the respective ann threads to be assured in that). I don't understand why people deposit money onto new casinos and then complain that they scammed these people. I mean, there are lots of very trusted casinos offering a wide range of games, so why not to keep playing at them rather than some unknown risky ones?
Simple awnser, because they are greedy, poeple might see that a well known casion is offerning a rate and another new one is offering a higher rate so they go for it, some new users are easily tricked, since they don't have the knowaldge or the paitence to earn moeny they try to go for the easiest and fastest way to get it, and that is why they gamble in the first place, so it is a simple as just offering them big numbers and they will just dive head first without checking the site.
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will Bitcoin's main challenges be for January? on: January 04, 2018, 05:20:59 PM
We've had a lot of things happen in 2017, and now that it's 2018.. What will the main challenges be for January? And for the whole year be? Will we meet a goal like $25K, or will we have multiple forks this year again to crush the qualms?
Probably the biggest challange thjat bitcoin faces this jaunanry and this year in general is transactions and altcois, since bitcoin became so popular after its recent grolwth the transaction time has started to become much slower, and that is due to the fact that the number of miners in the bitcoin network has decreased and this lead eventually to the fees going up as well, with the other cryptocurrencies having a much lower fee and price, a fast transaction time and minor fee price, investors finds them better than bitcoin at the moment and a huge future profit, so if the bitcoin does not adapt to these new challanges, we might see it starting to fall.
1485  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin rise up to 1M? on: January 04, 2018, 03:50:06 PM
Bitcoin price will definitely one day be worth $1M, only not so quick, 10 years is a bit quick to go to $1M.
If you asked me a month earlier i would say yes, the price of the bitcoin will reach 1M dollar some day, but since the transaction became very slow and the mining fees are som high, i am actually starting to worry about bitcoin actually going down and not going up, the cryptocurrency market has seen a massive rise in the last few months, and poeple who are intrssted in it and use transaction often can't offird to pay hunderds of dollars in fees, or wait for a day for it to get confirmed, so they started looking at the other cryptrocurrencies in the market, and with some of them having some high market cap and a huge supply and faster transaction time, bitcoin might see some competetion if the network stays the way it is.
1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC doing? on: January 04, 2018, 03:07:03 PM
Everyone know BTC is King, but now maybe everything changed. BTC is still King but it don't worship as before.
Recent time, hundreds of billions of dollars have been poured in Crytocurenncy but only poured in Altcoin, especially XRP. So what do you think about that?

1/ The return of the King and Altcoin will drop very much
2/ BTC will up but Alt don't drop much
3/ BTC can hardly increase again as investors' confidence is losing
4/ I don't know will what happen. I still keep my BTC.
I don't think that there will be any better than bitcoin in terms of profit, but with the recent netowrk problems and how transactions take a long time to reach its destination and the crazy fees, alongside the many ailling attempts to fix it by doing fork after fork, cryptocurrency investors have turned toward altcoins and espacillly the new ones where thier price is not that high and they dump a lot of moeny into them in order to boost it and make people invest in them as well, i don't think that bitcoin will start witnessing any big changes as a lot of people still have hopes for it and still hold a lot of moeny in it, in hopes for it to come back again, in the mean time it is better to take advantage of the altcoin market as it is seeing a lot of mouvement espacialy ripple which has surpassed ethereum in terms of market cap as we speak.
1487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin anonymous? on: January 03, 2018, 08:08:21 PM
Bitcoin is designed to allow its users to send and receive payments with an acceptable level of privacy as well as any other form of money. However, Bitcoin is not anonymous and cannot offer the same level of privacy as cash.
It is true that bitcoin is not completely anonymous, and that is due to the fact that all the transactions that are made are public, but that is what makes it better than cash and that there are no transactions going without knowing about it, the block chain network is not controlled by one person or one company, its dicentrelized which means no government has control over it, using bitcoin does not require any id or any documents to start using it, which always keeps your identity hidden, and although governments may be able to monitor transactions it would take a lot of time and resources, unlike cash where they can easily know where you got it from and where it is headed.
1488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Road to 0.1 btc on: January 03, 2018, 07:08:52 PM
this is my new project this 2018
i got 0.004 btc and i just injected it to a trading site
so here's my strategy please help me decide Smiley
1. invest it in 1 altcoin (short term/long term)
2. putting  your eggs in different baskets
which means i will divide my 0.004 and buy at least 3 alt coin (short term/long term)

what do you think?
The amount that your starting with is not good enough to make profit, however it is not impossible, I would suggest that you mainly focus on the smaller altcoins, the ones where their value is less than 5$, like ripple which has a potential for rising up in the future, other than that there is no telling how long will it take you to make that amount, since cryptocurrecies and especially cheap altcoins are unstable and hard to predict.
1489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Neutral Coins to Hold Currency on: January 03, 2018, 06:52:25 AM
what would you say would be a good coin to use for a neutral hold that doesn't gain or loose much at all?
some where that I can save my gains from something like LTC and take my gains while market goes red and put them into a certain coin that doesn't move,
suggestions thanks
If you mean that you are looking for a cryptocurency to hold your money that does not change in value, than no there is  not, cryptocurrecies are unstable and hard to predict, it is one of the risks that you have to take in order to make profit from it, the best place to hold your money rather than just keeping it in its original form to not have its value dropped is gold, gold is known to be the most efficient way to store money for its price that never drops because of the constant demand, although holding your money in the form of gold is not going to make you as much as cryptocurrecies would, but it would defiently be better than keeping it in fiat.
1490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i invest in ETH or Ripple? on: January 03, 2018, 04:23:23 AM
recently ripple reached 1 usd and is predicted to go upto 5 usd by the end of next month.
while eth has rose 100usd in the past week and is being quite stable.
ethereum though not as accepted as bitcoin but still can be used unlike ripple.
so my question is whether i should invest in eth or ripple given i may need to take out my money back any time.
Well considering how cheap ripple is it would be best to invest in both of them, ripple is predicted that it wlll rise quickly since many people have high hopes for it, so it would be very wise to invesy in it, ethereum on the other hand may not have a crazy of a growth as some people think or hope, the price is high and the market cap for it is very high , so it shows that it is persestant and stable, so it might take a while before you will be able to get some really good profit from it.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your strategy in trading on: January 03, 2018, 03:41:45 AM
What is your strategy in trading? When you buy any alt coin how long do you hold and on what percentage you sell it?
Well when it comes to altcoins trading it is hard to come up with a strategy because unlik bitcoin they are hardly predicitbale, so even if you have a startegy it would be hard to stick up to it, but for the most part it all involves around how much profit that i set as a goal to reach when i start, but the most important thing to keep in mid when selling is not to sell it all, like sell half and keep half that way i would ensure that i will be getting profit both ways, if the price goes up i would still get profit and if it goes down i would have already made it when selling.
1492  Economy / Economics / Re: What you think about bitcoin and other cryptos in 2018 on: January 01, 2018, 09:05:31 PM
Hi everyone, so what's your thoughts ?
Clearly over the course of 2017 we have seen an increase in both price and users for cryptocurrencies and this lead to many people getting intressted in this market for its huge profibality, and that is why more investments are promissed to made in 2018 that are cryptocurrency related, some of the huge names companies are starting to accept it as a payemnt method, and all of this means only good stuff for the crypto community, but with this comes some huge probelms like transaction time and mining fees for bitcoin, and more over regulations that are starting to come from some goverments to ban it, so hopefully we can overcome them and make cryptocurrency great.
1493  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesia’s Central Bank is Planning to Ban Bitcoin in 2018 on: January 01, 2018, 07:40:52 PM
Quote
He went on to detail additional restrictive measures by the bank, stating:

We [will] also prevent arbitrage opportunities, unhealthy business practices and business controls by parties outside the legal reach of Indonesia’s laws that could damage the structure of industries here.

detail here https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/indonesia-planning-ban-bitcoin-2018-report/

what do you think about this ?

i think my country not ready to growing with this blockchain era.
I think that the cryptocurrency is going to faced with a big probelm in the next couple of years, and that is regulation, since cryptocurrencies and bitcoin in particular have seen a massive increase of use, and this has made it to be under the spotlight of goverments who in their part need to take regulations concerning it, because people can mke tons of moeny from it without paying taxes, and others can use it for illeagal activites without being tracked down, so with it not being able to be controlled, it is no suprise for us to see goverments today banning it.
1494  Economy / Economics / Re: Where Will The Digital Economy Take Us? on: January 01, 2018, 06:32:34 PM
What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?
Obviously for the past year or so the cryptocurrency have started getting more and more popular, and this lead to goverments starting to have actions for it, some have already ban using it because they can't control it and others just accepted it, the Blockchain technology allow us to use crypticurrencies without having to be controlled by banks or goverments, so for the next upcoming years if cryptocurrencies become more and more popular, goverments would have a big probelm, because people would be using it wthout being able to track down transactions and the floow of moeny in and out of the countru which could lead to it being used for the wrong resons.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know its time to Stop? on: January 01, 2018, 05:54:54 PM
If you have a high tendency to not stop until busting, then I came across these tips which do help:

  • Don't put all your available bankroll directly in the game (in case you're using deposits). Leave always at least half outside as a security measure if you go bust.
  • One must stop after reaching a certain goal, The goal should be predetermined and shouldn't be changed during the play.
  • If you're doing really good, withdraw part of your earnings (if you can, ofc) to avoid losing it all in one go.

Having a big bankroll can make you feel falsely safe in that "oh I'll just keep increasing my bet until I win" but alas, the 30 reds in a row do exist, and will come. Do not let them take it all.

The goal you make should be realistic and firm, Don't change it or else be prepared to face bad consequences.

You gotta fight back the voice that screams inside your brain "Come on, double again and we recover!".
The probelm with these kind of rules is that some people can get a bit greedu espacily if they have been successfull in wining a bunch of times, so when they win they get overconfidant and greed thinking that they will win even after reaching theur goal, probably the most important key to not go into addiction in gambling is not to make it a habit or a regular way of getting moeny, because then you would have to feel obliged to do bets even if you lose or reach the goal, gambling should be a side thing that you kind of do once a week or tow.
1496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why media against bitcoin ? on: December 29, 2017, 08:44:37 PM
when ever I found any news about bitcoin it is negative news , i am confused why traditional mass media always against bitcoin ?
Well media is controlled by the goverment and goverments don't want for bitcoin to be successfull because it will cause a lot of probelms for them, and make people use instead of fiat, apart from that all the economist never really invested in bitcoin because it is not regulated, so whenever they are asked about bitcoin they say it is a buble and it will go down eventually, because it is in their favor if bitcoin fails, they didn't invest in bitcoin and so right now they regret it and want to see it go down.
1497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I hold BTC 0.05 for future ? on: December 29, 2017, 07:57:11 PM
Dear audience I have 0.05 BTC should I hold it for future value ? In recent time the market is very dumping so that feeling little scared.
The amount is not very necessary I can hold it if the market will raise
No one really knows when the price is going to go up again, or weteher it is going to stay this way, but the only thing we know for sure is that bitcoin will always be here, so i would suggest that you hold whatever you have, so you won't regret it in teh future, it is easy to sell but hard to buy, if you sell right now and the price goes up than you will regret it, i personally think that the price will soon go back up gain because of the transactions time and the fees starting to go down a bit, but that is just my opinion.
1498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price bubbled? on: December 29, 2017, 07:39:55 PM
When can you say the price of bitcoin is already or nearly bubble?

Do you expect that the price will dump in coming years?

Edit: On this year how is the bitcoin value soaring ... What I mean is how fast....

yes bitcoin like a balloon that breaks easily when the volume is too much and too high, and now bitcoin has broken balloons and started in the patch to get back up again the price.
The bitcoin price did not go down dramaticly and people are already talking about it failling and thinking of switching to another coin, the price is about 14k and that makes it the most profitable investments of all time and idon't think that a minor set back will make it collapse and fall down, right now bitcoin's transaction fees and time are fairly high compared to the other cryptocurrencies, and that is what is causing all this probelm, and unless this probelm does not get fixed than the price might start going down.
1499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's happening to Bitcoin? on: December 29, 2017, 07:08:48 PM
Bitcoin is taking a huge plunge!
Are you guys selling to be safe, or still hodl in the hope it will go up again?
Well tehre is no telling what is going to happen with the bitcoin, some analysis claim that bitcoin will go down maybe go down to 6k and than go up 22k but i don't know why they would say that, after these forks that have been happaning left and right and with the segwit cancaling, many people were dissapointed and the hype that was before it that pushed the price is gone, but if there is one thing for sure is that bitcoin will always come back again, we jsut need to be paitent and not make any mistakes that will regret in the future.

This explains it much better, thanks Wink
