there is thinking about lowering the fee to 0.01. Not sure yet if this will really happen. But generally speaking the Datacoin blockchain is there to store small and very important things.

I would like to see Datacoin on your exchange. While an innovative coin it isnt in many exchanges yet.
May I ask in which way its innovative ? I might learn something new Its the first primecoin fork. But its not just a copy coin. It is being build with the purpose of storing data forever in the blockchain without any restrictions. Decentralized and no censorship. Btw just a week ago they made an http server for Datacoin so you can actually now have an "internet" totally decetralized! It is not targeted for huge files right now. Its target will be more like txt files like wikileaks files or torrents You can also upload everything else but it costs. In the future there is talk about big file implementation. - I might be wrong, but if they are made server, this server has to be maintained and owned by someone, so yes, its decentralized by owned by 1 person or group of persons, and thats not good  I am not expert in all coins, and they grow rapidly, nice to see that every day there aare new innovations but keep in mind lot of previous innovations (in whole world, not only crypto-world) have been abandoned becase it was not wort it But I wish good luck to that coin, to developers, I hope they dont want to scma people with prepared forks or some premine etc ..and I would be happy to list it No no the point is that you make your client an http server! Seriously what a joke. If you want this coin to be something you better have a miner that doesn't crash.
Having a work around that is restarting the miner when it crashes is not OK.
This should be fixed by developer of primecoin fork.
Go ahead and write a miner that doesnt crash for primecoin algo better than primeminer... |

Datacoin is a Primecoin clone - why to mine datacoin when u can mine Primecoin instead? For me XPM is the way to go - many other CPU coins already have GPU miners released. Because one is very easy to mine while the other is not. I believe Datacoin will soon rise so it gonna be more profitable than primecoin considering primecoin's diff. For me DTC is the way to go cause it is indeed a fork of primecoin which is one of the best coins but can also be used for decentralized data storage! So it has double use |

Rob you should start calling it BOINC mining instead of CPU mining - it confuses people lol.
Anyways GreekBitcoin, it's not CPU Mining per say. Gridcoin's "CPU mining" is basically rewarding the people using their CPU for contributing to BOINC by calculating and comparing credits among all the people donating to BOINC.
