1521  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: May 08, 2014, 03:37:03 AM
I cant believe it! Sierra batch 2, I have a tracking number!!!

I can't believe it either. 3 fukkin weeks to go from order #1955 to #1983 and I believe most of those order #s were upgrades they likely skipped, least that's how it looked when last I cared about their order list. It seems likely a non-scamming company would have shipped both our orders on the same day...late last year.

Congrats?

He is a puppet of people with money.

Naturally. In this case owned and operated by goldman sachs.

Upgraded to the new wallet, 700K zeit missing  Huh

Especially this transaction : https://usecryptos.com/blockexplorer/ZEIT/c933d0e1aceba71a8e71d037e8784b302a45dbb0e225f33c48edd5edcd95b7c1

Can't understand since she shows correctly on the block explorer

Usually it just means the wallet isn't properly synced with the network. If the coins are at that address on the block explorer and you have the private keys to that address then your coins are safe. Backup your wallet and try to get it synced. This may mean waiting longer, deleting peers.dat, deleting the local blockchain data, or a combination.
1524  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ARE YOU A COINTERRA BURN VICTIM ? on: May 07, 2014, 05:32:59 PM
Then what are they talking about?

looks to be some combination of competitors or fanboys trying to trash 'the competition'.  even if some of the scam accusations are from current or former customers it doesn't make cointerra a scam.  scam has a specific meaning being akin to a 'con'. scam companies don't or haven't shipped, or delay shipments indefinitely. - whereas cointerra has shipped all their pre-orders (in most cases, within a few weeks of the due date and most of them in the actual month they were due and in some cases earlier than expected - and now sells from stock.  that isn't the definition of a scam company no matter which way the word scam can be stretched.

can't compare them with other companies that customers are right in calling scams because they sold preorders and promised dates that they are nowhere close to achieving, and in many cases didn't ship systems to customers.  some keep playing the shell game (bitmine, hashfast, butterflylabs).  these companies are months, and in some cases as much as 6 months late in deliveries.   heck, even kncminer isn't as stellar as it once was (read their forums for more details).

yet another shill working for cointerra.... either that or delusional..... I like many.....did not get my pre-order on the promised date. i don't think anyone did......try sending them money and getting a refund, im sure your attitude towards cointerra will change.

i sent cointerra my money. they sent me nothing.... i asked for a refund.... i hear nothing.......

Now please tell me how you judge my situation.

because if ive not been scammed then i must be missing something.

no miner or refund or response....... how can you say there not scammers?Huh??

i message them daily to hear no response.

are you for real?

how much is cointerra paying you to spread your nonesense on these forums.

as you seem to jump down the throat of any customers on here who complains about them.

cut the bullshit. legit companies respond to customer emails. and have a customer service employees. i dont believe cointerra even cares

once they have your money its on to the next sale.

Typical scammers mentality.

we all know cointerra is a scam now

they cannot hide it

Use ignore. He/she doesn't appear to have any authority to actually help with anything cointerra related and just spews a steady stream of rainbows & unicorn nonsense to distract.

Each scam company seems to have at least one of these clowns running interference.

It would end quickly if people would stop acting as creditors for manufacturers.
1526  Economy / Economics / Re: How much control does the President truly have over the economy? on: May 07, 2014, 05:22:34 PM
Bush really isn't to blame for the downturn since it was third-party forces outside of his control. His biggest blunder with the economy was the appearance of his mishandling, but he's not really to blame.
The big crash of 2008 could have been avoided at the cost of a smaller crash about two years earlier. Without some of the Bush-era stimulus policies, there would have been a crash in housing several years earlier, but it would have been about the size of the savings and loan debacle of the 1980s. There was a mindset, fully endorsed by Alan Greenspan at the Fed, that rising house prices were a good thing and a source of wealth. Greenspan really didn't believe that someday there had to be a crash in housing. ("Houses can only go up!". Wrong.)

A big problem was the earlier elimination of Glass-Stegall, the law which kept commercial banks from getting into the stock market. While brokerages were separate from banking, a Wall Street crash didn't take down the banking system. That separation was put into place in 1933 because of the 1929 crash. It was repealed in 1999. Trouble soon followed.

We're having the same problem now because of Bernanke.  There was the idea that they could use the "threat" of QE, and then QE itself, to prevent a downturn in the market and weakening of the economy.  There have ALWAYS been business cycles in the modern economy and the Fed is trying to get rid of them.  It seems a bubble has been forming AGAIN because we didn't take our medicine after the last 2.  I mean, interest rates are so freakin low already and they used QE and are still using QE, meanwhile we are due for another recession pretty soon (maybe it's happening now) so what the heck is the Fed gonna do if things get ugly now?

The fed is out of weapons. All of their tampering with free markets, manipulation of interest rates, looting of savers, encouraging obscene public and private debt levels, it's all to keep the dollar ponzi running a little longer.
1527  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: May 07, 2014, 04:58:20 PM
well Scammers'R'Fast shipped order # 1980 on May 5th... my order is in the 3000s and they still haven't told me if I'm getting the old Gen 1 stuff or the "free" upgrade that was supposed to ship sooner...

really?! im order #1983. to my astonishment, HF actually returned my request for order status yesterday, via Twitter direct message! they said my order should ship within 2 days since I am "near the top of the batch 2 queue". so if they shipped 1980 today then, (hold on to your hats!) it appears HF has just, possibly, BEEN HONEST 4 ONCE!!!!!

of course, I wanted a refund and have been asking for months...  but whatever, i will be estatic just to get anything at this point!!

Question @bkminer: Did they send you an email with tracking # or anything? how did they notify you? I need to make sure someone is available to receive my high tech space heater.

I was order #1955 and received my sierra on April 17. If they're shipping via consecutive order numbers or anything similar to that then their progress is painfully...criminally slow.

You should receive shipping notifications and tracking updates from fedex, though I don't recall all the available shipping options LAST FRIGGIN YEAR when I ordered.

I would not argue that infiltration and co-option (along with potential trumped up legal assaults) are strategies the government could employ. Koch bros were apparently funding the Tea Party.

In my latest post wherein I explained the only frontier remaining (other than unrealistically outer space) is cryptography. I don't believe physical revolution will be plausible. I have allowed for "a gun under every blade of grass" as a potential difference in the USA as compared to other nations. This might drive the USA into chaos, armed rebellion, and a fracturing of the union, or it might be pummeled by the government. Kissinger once promised there would be blue hats (U.N. troops) on US soil. Foreign mercenaries have no qualms about shooting Americans.

I sense there is a bloody future ahead in the USA, because there is so much firepower on both sides.

I suspect foreign troops on US soil attempting to disarm/subdue Americans would be problematic for TPTB. Such an action would likely unify the resistance and cause a large number of desertions amongst .gov forces. Martial law would be be extremely difficult to sustain given the large area and number of weapons in civilian hands. It would be a race to disarm the most radical groups and get those most likely to effectively lead rebel forces into FEMA camps before they could get organized. While katrina was a successful small scale disarmament trial run during a  crisis situation I doubt it scales all that effectively given the speed at which information spreads today.
1529  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: May 06, 2014, 05:22:28 PM

From the article:

[“Plaintiff simply alleges no facts sufficient to raise an inference that at the time Plaintiff placed his pre-order, HashFast never intended to—or knew they could not—ship the Baby Jet units by their then advertised delivery dates,” HashFast’s motion continues.

HashFast also argues that Morici’s original complaint did not adequately cite specific alleged misrepresentations by the company’s two principals, deCastro and Barber, and cannot be raised in subsequent motions. The motion to dismiss also seems to imply that HashFast Technologies and HashFast LLC may not, in fact, have anything to do with one another.

“Therefore, the Opposition necessarily concedes that Plaintiff has no facts to suggest that [HashFast LLC Delaware] had any involvement in the development, manufacturing, and/or sales of the Baby Jet mining computers, or that might indicate the existence of an alter-ego relationship between HashFast and [HashFast LLC Delaware],” the motion concludes.[/quote]

Blatant fraud + scumbag legal crap. What a fine company. Roll Eyes

1531  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra Class-Action Lawsuit on: May 06, 2014, 12:18:52 AM
Cointerra sucks crap. Pointing at bigger frauds and saying "look at what those guys stole!" is a non-starter as an argument. Cointerra knew their 2Th miners didn't do 2Th when they shipped them. Proving as much in a room full of people overpaid to spew bs for a living is the challenge.

aerobatic is on ignore. His posts are complete trash imo and always pro cointerra. No reason to waste time on mindless fanbois & paid propagandists.

since I'm on ignore, you won't see this.

cointerra knew their 2 TH miner was only 1.6 TH before they shipped it and they updated all their customers to the ongoing situation, and they offered their customers the chance to refund, or take delivery with some compensation from a future order.  those were the two choices, and if a customer didn't want a 1.6 th miner (itself, still timely delivered and still the fastest miner in town), then they could've opted for the refund.  there's no beef.   it was take it, as it was, or, have a refund.

+1 yep they did. And it was the smartest thing they ever did.

Sweet. So it's like texas holdem poker then. Force your opponent to make tough decisions to win.

Only in this case the opponents are the people foolish enough to pre-order from cointerra, and "winning" is forcing them to take a lesser product for the same funds or lose months of time they wasted while cointerra held onto their pre-order funds. Sound about right?

Many victims would take the late product @ 20% under spec rather than a refund. The correct thing to do would be to simply make up the difference in hashrate, but that would've hurt cointerra's bottom line. Why do that when you can "win". Good lawyers came up with a good way to force customers into a tight spot,  but it doesn't make for less of a crappy company. Bfl and hashfast employ similar tactics to force customers to take a bath. Request a refund and magically you're bumped in the shipping queue, but only if the gear is worth less than the refund.
1532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 06, 2014, 12:08:06 AM
someone tell me what the fuck is going on

In a nutshell, knc has seemingly joined the ranks of the customer funded ventures who have grown large enough that they've decided customers are an unnecessary liability.

Good post AnonyMint. I've had first hand experience observing the mental gymnastics the liberal mind can embrace to justify some pretty awkward or outright contradictory positions. Illogical is an appropriate description imo.

Anyway, I see some differences between republicans and democrats.

Absolutely! One of the parties pretends to be pro gay rights.

Voting has no effect on the continuous march of one world government/collectivism. If it did it'd be banned.

The FED made much more for the recovery of the Economy than the President.

The fed isn't part of the US government. They merely wield the authority that congress granted them. So now we pay interest on currency we could print debt free.

A president could have a great deal of influence over the economy. He could do what Kennedy did and return the power to print debt free currency to the treasury where it belongs and short circuit the fed. Then he could decide NOT to drive around dallas in a convertible.
1538  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra Class-Action Lawsuit on: May 05, 2014, 09:16:36 PM
Cointerra will retain a bunch of professional liars(lawyers) to argue the meaning of the word "is" and attack the plaintiffs, but I hope cointerra goes down. Lessee.

Cointerra sued, bfl sued, hashfast sued, vmc sued. Guess that about covers all the American manufacturers. Obviously US laws haven't been much of a fraud deterrent to this point.

Pull the PoW plug. We need a functioning exchange(or three) much more than we need a few people intermittently mining.
1540  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm tired of the United States on: May 05, 2014, 08:57:26 PM
we don't need a Govt. ruling the people.  we can make our own rules.  lets rise up and defeat the evil empire.
Careful our fantastic government will dub you a terrorist and hide you in the deepest cell in the country with talk like that.

They have jailed people for less..... :S

How do you rise up when everything you say is seen by the people you would rise up against and any notion of doing something will land you in prison for life?

It's over.

The USD is a debt instrument. In order for it to continue enslaving it needs debt greater than previous debt. The way to bring down the beast is for large numbers of people to withdraw their support. As debts are extinguished credit dollars are destroyed. If this continues for long and there are no new debts(or fewer new debts) created, then we get an imbalance and deflation is the result. This is why TPTB keep pushing seemingly nonsensical programs like cash for clunkers, federal student loan takeovers, HUD, fannie mae, freddie mac, etc. They're trying to keep people borrowing and spending beyond their means.
