1521  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for loan 0.0025 BTC on: October 28, 2018, 06:36:54 AM
According to your trust wall you're Humberto, is that correct?

Can you sell your Doge instead of using it as collateral? That's less work.
1522  Other / Meta / Re: The new type of flood attack for non-moderated and moderated threads on: October 28, 2018, 06:11:30 AM
I'd say require at least 1 Merit to post in the altcoin section.
Paid bumping services have evolved after recent changes to deal with them. They went from 35 accounts per thread to about 500. It has completely broken the altcoin board.

Spammers create thousands of accounts at a time now.
1523  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: NEED HELP! 6000 dollars stuck on: October 26, 2018, 05:55:56 AM
how could they scam me if i didnt pay them any money. I was being paid
I'll give you this address: 16rCmCmbuWDhPjWTrpQGaU3EPdZF7MTdUk
If you import it, you have $700 million in your wallet. But you can never use it.

You didn't get paid, you received someone else's address. Adding Tesla for credibility only makes it sound more like a scam.
1524  Economy / Exchanges / Re: My 1200 BTC Account Is Blocked By Binance on: October 26, 2018, 05:44:42 AM
I read many doubts about your story. To add credibility, can you sign a message from an address holding large funds (either now or in the past), and PM it to my main account LoyceV (see my signature)? If it checks out, I'll vouch for it without exposing your address.
1525  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: NEED HELP! 6000 dollars stuck on: October 25, 2018, 10:14:09 PM
Where did the address come from? Did someone tell you to import it when you tried to buy Bitcoin? (This is a scam that happens)
1526  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a max amount of 0.4BTC can pay back about 0.09BTC/month on: October 24, 2018, 06:25:35 PM
Are you trying to reinvent fractional banking for crypto? Even if this works, you multiply your risk.

Why don't you invest with money you own instead of money you don't have?
1527  Other / Meta / Re: Bias on giving merit, forum negativity and positivity to the newbies. on: October 23, 2018, 05:40:42 AM
Here's your problem:
if you are a newbie trying hard to start a thread for merits
1528  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to sell 1-100 BTC's on: October 22, 2018, 03:05:22 PM
Can you sign a message to prove ownership of 100 Bitcoin?
1529  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos on: October 22, 2018, 08:04:26 AM
You should probably leave it to theymos to explain what his current view of the trust system is
Although related to merit abuse, this is his most recent comment about trust:
If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer.

I made a list of the first 200: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3667157.msg46081518#msg46081518

1532  Other / Meta / Re: Editing posts on: October 20, 2018, 03:36:40 PM
I think it's 10 minutes.

If it's a recent case: I have over a month of all new posts stored on my computer. I scrape and store the unedited version as it's first posted.

Update: edit after 7 minutes.
1533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would a site with a slightly negative house edge still be profitible? on: October 18, 2018, 03:53:03 PM
Please make such a site, so I can turn on a bot: 0.002 Bitcoin at any multiplier for 60 million bets.
In short: the house will lose.
1534  Other / Meta / Re: Merit counts on "Top-merited recent topics" on: October 18, 2018, 12:54:10 PM
You can easily create such a list from the full merit data dump.
I can do it when I'm back at my desk.
Update: see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053587.0
1535  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why I Believe Just One Merit is Enough on: October 14, 2018, 08:47:33 AM
So, in short, you're saying your posts are worthless because you have 0 Merit. I agree Cheesy
1536  Economy / Scam Accusations / My gut feeling tells me MIXERCOIN is a scam on: October 11, 2018, 07:42:32 PM
Disclaimer
I'm using my alt, so the "you work for the competition"-argument can't be used. I've used and/or tested several mixers, it's not as if I suspect all of them to be scammers.
This is not a scam accusation (yet), I have no evidence that anyone got scammed (yet). I think it's worth discussing though.

My gut feeling
MIXERCOIN (username: mixercoin) gives me the same feeling BITMIXCOIN.IO (Trust: -64: -6 / +0) did a year ago. They claimed to own 2000+ Bitcoin, but couldn't prove it. Eventually, that mixer pulled an exit scam and stole well over 16 Bitcoin before their webhost took them down.

Serious questions are evaded
MIXERCOIN follows a similar pattern: claiming to have very high (in this case even unlimited) funds, but refusing to sign a message. This is how they respond to valid concerns:
•   that maximum amount  of the mixing has not limit
That's only possible if you own 50% of all bitcoins. I don't believe that, so it's not possible.
Can you at least sign a message to prove ownership of substantial funds?
We own enough bitcoins. Question to you. Do you have money?

Playing dumb
They pretend not to know how to prove ownership of funds.
Laughing at valid concerns is what I expect from a scammer, not from a legit business:
So you're saying you run a mixer but don't know how to sign a message?
Thats the dumbest thing for a mixing service who didnt even know how a sign message works. Shocked
So far, only I have a smile when I hear that 0.01 bitcoin are a large amount
The best proof is not words but the result.  Do  mix on 0.01 btc or  too much for you?
Even if mixing a small amount would work, that doesn't prove it's not going to be a selective or exit scam.

Spam
They're spamming many local boards with Google Translated posts, which isn't allowed. I've reported some of the posts, and some are gone already, so I've archived it.

The problem
It can't be proven until they scam someone. Any Newbie that asks for a no collateral loan, quickly gets tagged, because most of them are scammers. Meanwhile, anyone can promote their mixer, even though many of them are owned by scammers.
BITMIXCOIN got tagged with red trust after they scammed 16 Bitcoin, and the victim sent me his Letter of Guarantee. MIXERCOIN doesn't even have a Letter of Guarantee, so there will never be any conclusive evidence.
So far, I haven't tagged anyone based on speculation, and I don't want to start that now. On the other hand, I'd hate to see another scam mixer make an innocent victim if that can be prevented.
1537  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit begging on: October 11, 2018, 09:05:57 AM
My favorite part of your reference post was the skilled use of whiteout. Tres bien of youyou
I didn't see that on my (cheap) laptop screen, it looked totally white there. Only on my phone I see what you mean.

What gets me is that he seriously thinks he can buy my account without anyone noticing Cheesy
LoyceV, shitposter, who's gonna notice Cheesy
1538  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New service of mixing BTC (MIXERCOIN.CO) on: October 08, 2018, 06:02:08 PM
So you're saying you run a mixer but don't know how to sign a message?
1539  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New service of mixing BTC (MIXERCOIN.CO) on: October 08, 2018, 05:38:33 PM
Those answers remind me of selective scam site bitmixcoin. Evading valid questions is not how you run a legit business.
1540  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New service of mixing BTC (MIXERCOIN.CO) on: October 08, 2018, 05:03:15 PM
•   that maximum amount  of the mixing has not limit
That's only possible if you own 50% of all bitcoins. I don't believe that, so it's not possible.
