One thing about African teams is that they lack proper management. I feel like that's the only thing teams like Nigeria and Ghana have. Individually these teams have relatively strong squads. I'm not saying the players are all world-class but they're okay and they should be playing better than they're currently playing.
The Nigerian coach is not good enough. It's evident from the way Nigeria plays. They don't press and they don't create chances.
Secondly, we have to understand that football has evolved. Teams no longer fear bigger teams. They come out and play as though they're equals. So don't expect your favorite teams to have it easy because they won't.
We've seen teams like Cape Verde win Ghana. Mozambique almost won Egypt but managed to get only a point. That's the competitive level of football these days.
African Football generally lacks proper management from the head and when the head is bad it sure affects the whole body. Look at a team like Nigeria who have one of the formidable teams in Africa yet check their recent matches and see how they struggle. This is because the coach isn’t standard and doesn’t have a plan or an idea on how to build with these stars. As for a striker yes Manchester United need one, the three players you mentioned above only one is a proper striker. Martial has been with united for over 5 years and he can’t play consistently and that has really affected Manchester United, I think it is the right time to sell him. As for Rashford we all know he doesn’t play well from the striker position as he likes to play from the left wing and he is only deployed as a striker when there is injury crisis. Now only Hojlund is a striker but since his arrival he has failed to leave up to expectations and that was expect because he is so young and a new striker will relive him some pressure.
As for a new striker I don’t think they need to go for Benzema because is just a short fix and going for him will be a waste of time and funds to me. They missed the opportunity of signing Harry Kane they just need to go for another long term fix. A player like Serhour Guirassy is up the market for just around $25M
Sabitzer would had been a good signing if not for Injury that caused him to lose his form in the club, if you noticed he left United and went to play for Leipzig and he's doing well over there currently. Manchester united were impatient and needed quick action, they didn't need another Injury prone player that would make the team more weaker, however I wonder why they went for Mason Mount that's in same situation to Sabitzer and has been battling with injury since he came into the team, we're yet to see the best of him. I also can't decide which one I actually predict will have the best chance of winning the title this season. Although I might hope that Inter Milan can perform as well as last season. Is not it too early to jude roma to be non favorite club to win the europa league this season? We need to let the club to prove its quality when it's going to face feyenoord. Im still doubting roma caused by it was not able to take the first place at the group stage.
It was also making some people feel so doubt with it. Roma needs to prove it in the match against acmilan if it was a strong club this time. The club needs to perform even better continously.

Moreover, when they play matches against teams that are equal or stronger. especially, when Leverkusen hosts a match against Bayern and this is a serious challenge. because Bayern has a big chance to overthrow Leverkusen in the next meeting. Bayern Munich is one team that has very good player combinations, they have in the team quality and skilful players who are in their various positions performing their best. Yes there are competitions from Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and a lot more competitions in the UCL but the team is capable of subduing the stress of the competitions.Tuchel has his eyes on the Bundesliga trophy and a bigger eye on the UCL trophy. Although Alonso seems as a threat with the current performance and display from Bayern Leverkusen but Tuchel who's more experienced has drafted out his plans, processes and techniques and he seems ready for any competition that awaits him.He's got a good team for himself and I believe he'd be able to be victorious in 95% of his encounters. Bayern Munich is just one good team that are a general threat to every team they're up against and they have better victory chances too. |

Al-Hilal, who haven't lost even once this season in the Saudi Pro League, is truly extraordinary. And this is also a sign that Al-Hilal is indeed the best this season. Even Al-Nassr lost when facing them. Al-hilal managed to pass the 19 matches in the Saudi Pro League without defeat. Meanwhile, Al-Nassr has had 3 defeats and the defeats were from the first 2 matches of the season when Cristiano Ronaldo was absent in the first 2 matches.
I also hope Al-Nassr can win the title this season. But I realize that it really won't be easy with the remaining games in the season. Unless Al-hilal loses their consistency in the middle of this season.
I also can't wait to see the matches between Al-hilal vs Inter Miami and Al-Nassr vs Inter Miami. Yes, these two matches will definitely attract the attention of all football fans. Before break, they were started with their positive change and having three wins, but this game brings back them on below in confidence and also into relegation zone which is surely not good start of the second half but still they can manage things in good way with their improved performance in coming matches Lyon was good team in French League.
But, recently due to lack of quality players and not having good luxury like other clubs they are losing their status and also having many other troubles which are bringing them down in rankings now in this season most chances they will be not able to secure their spot into top half of the league table because right now situation is not ideal and their performance is also not as they need to for having better end of this season after worst start of the season.
Lyon is a pretty good team in the French League though of recent they’re performing poorly this season. They got back their form at a point but now it seems they’re back to their poor form. They’re one top team of the French League but I think they lack proper investment which is making them degrade on a daily. When a club doesn’t have the right investment, they tend to suffer and that’s one fate this Lyon side is suffering currently. I don’t think with their run of form they might not be able to make it to the top half of the table, but they can probably get off the relegation zone and come up a little, and that's what they should be fighting for currently, cause failure to do that would see them leaving the Ligue 1 to Ligue 2,which would be very bad for a team like Lyon. This is the time for them to sit up, they should come together as a team, build their confidence and try to improve cause their best is not close to being enough. |

Although, we are have underrated Everton this season because of their place in the English Premier League table this season. Assuming Everton was not penalized by reduction of points would have given them more emphasis during our discussion of the English Premier League and of course the media would have hailed them enough. I can confidently say that Everton's performance in this season is quite better than their performance is the past 3 to 4 seasons. But one sad reality about their performance this season is that they are still fighting to escape relegation.
Apart from what I have said above, Everton has also been known as a team that gives surprise draw on winning when it is not expected. So it was not fair to write everything off against Aston Villa. In as much as Aston Villa has been in a very good form this season that does not automatically make them addictive and the English Premier League. I am even more confident that Aston Villa will slide off their top four position any moment from now only if other things are ready to overtake them. In a nutshell, the Everton versus Aston Villa results was not a surprise to me because I expected it.
The point deduction from Everton really affected them this season, if not they would've been in a better position currently. However I must applaud them cause that could've killed the morale and team spirit of some teams but they didn't relent, though they've encountered some defeats after that but they've fought very hard and got out of the relegation zone, with the way they're going I don't think they'll be relegated caused they're really work hard against it, the recent draw against an inform Aston Villa is a prove for that. Well I won't be suprised if Aston Villa slide down the standings, they've tried in reaching the top four, however it's the 2nd segment of the season and alot of top teams would up their games and the race for the top 4 would be very tough, therefore Villa would also need to setup and not relent if truly they want to end up in top 4. |

I am very much aware that many people would be disappointed in this season's African cup of Nations competition. The reason why people will be disappointed is because they have forgotten that Africa have their style of play, since some of the players that are coming to this AFCON is based in Europe and have adopted the European method of football it will be difficult for them to adapt in this African cup of Nations. What do I mean in essence, Africa is known for strength and it is that type of football that will prevail in ivory coast. Anyone that goes with skills or any type of foreign play style will not be successful in this years African cup of Nations. This is the reason Nigeria and Ghana which came with many foreign players could not win their first leg. For the case of Nigeria if our coach is not able to fix his midfield he could possibly be eliminated from the group stage. Will actually be a shameful thing to parade a team that has African best player and some other world class players and yet crash out of the group stage.
This is football and anything is possible, well what happened yesterday in the AFCON Tournament was a suprise to every one but let them not forget that change is constant and asides that if a team fails to prepare well for a competition and underestimate their opponents maybe based on previous record or past glory rather then they might end up getting a big shock from the outcome of the game and that's what happened yesterday, the least expected teams came out victorious. Well their's no doubt that Africa have it's style of playing football but in football experience matters alot and those teams with players that has played major tournaments across Africa are expected to be more experienced based on the training they undergo, left for me I'll say they didn't come prepared and underestimated their opponents, well this should be an eye opener for them, that they should be more serious and not underestimate any team. |
