1541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Beginners Should Not Go For Future Trading? on: March 21, 2023, 10:12:22 AM
I'm not an expert in trading but all I can say to newbies is to consider helping themselves first from learning trading to the lowest level (spot trading). It was not necessary we have to look for a huge profit from Futures trading but rather make priorities to prepare ourselves first before moving as it was not impossible if we really capable enough. With a lack of experience and knowledge, I can't really imagine if our trade will work well but instead, it is possible we lose our money too easily due to wrong market calls(buy and sell).
1542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dare to take such gamble? on: March 20, 2023, 10:11:37 PM
Well, a crypto guru can just predict what possibly come next but never know what exactly happens. They are a lot of people proclaiming themselves as a guru but guess what, they are making more out of their speculations to innocent people. Come to think that if they really can see what will happen a few days from now, I would think they are very rich and have no need to come to this bet just to lift their reputation and name. Instead, they keep on silent and trade. But they are doing this to try to trick people and to think we should have to gamble for this? I'd rather keep my 1BTC rather than do this as what if he never pays you if he loses? Can imagine the risk, lol.
1543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of play to earn games on: March 20, 2023, 09:42:06 PM
for now play to earn has been abandoned by many people, because it is no longer profitable, but if in the future there are big game companies that make new innovations about play to earn, then maybe play to earn will be of interest to many people again, because for now there is no play to earn that gives profit like axie and metamon (which I have played), so people stop playing and invest in play to earn, but I'm still sure if play to earn can back in existence and booming again in the future (just waiting for the market to recover).
Perhaps gamers have an interest in this kind of platform when the price is high. I can really remember those days when the market is bullish and many got crazy joining them like in Axie Infinity but sadly, they are quite leaving when the price dump. And I expect such a scenario in the coming days, they'll turn back somehow but then just leave again just like what they did before. In this case, P2E is seasonal and as an investor, it never gives us security and possibly, they will totally collapse for another interesting gaming projects.
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 20, 2023, 01:01:29 PM

Reason why some are going to skip the fight because the odds are not worth it, or just bet on other boxing events.

But in any case, I think everyone wanted to see Inoue winning against Fulton and become a champion again.

The odds for Inoue are all worth it. Bookies are just trying to trick us here, but obviously Inoue will win this without a problem. The fact that it's over 2+ makes this an opportunity that should not be wasted, and I don't want to see people blaming themselves for not taking Inoue's odds this time. Actually, I'm thinking that as the fight approaches, the odds might change, so the opportunity is slowly decreasing.
Should we bet early or not?  Cheesy
I also am expecting a change in the odds but I don't see it will happen soon, maybe before fight night only.
3.05 versus 1.37 Inoue as the favorite. Almost like a trap. I wish they could make the bet for Fulton a little bit sweeter like he is indeed an underdog because most likely gambler will choose Inoue here over him and just take that 1.37 profit which is still decent. Not that I am underestimating Fulton but the hype is real for Inoue.
Do bookies ever balance this kind of thing whenever they see the bet for the favorite is overflowing? I mean, they won't make any profits if there are lesser gamblers who will take the risk for the underdog.

1.37 is a very low odd. I would rather take Inoue to win by KO as that is more interesting. It's still a gamble, though, as the fight could go to decision by the judges. But judging from most of Inoue's fights, they usually end up with KO.

You know, this is a 12 round fight, you only need one round for Inoue to hit Fulton with a clean shot, and that might result to a KO.
1545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 20, 2023, 12:16:37 PM

I think he has surpasses Caruso being as Laker in this game, as he scored team high 35 points and has been clutch in the 4th quarter.

Media also says that he save Antonio Davis' legacy. But let's see, still a lot of games remaining and they have to win it all so that they will have control, just saying.

That was a big win for them. I was watching the game, and I thought that the Lakers would choke in the end, but Reeves, my man, came up clutch and led the Lakers to a big win. I like his confidence now; he really grew with the Lakers, and thanks to the coach for giving him good playing time.

With that win, the Lakers have tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but they are ranked number 10.
1546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is ageing and old people part of bitcoin? on: March 17, 2023, 09:53:04 PM

Do you think our ageing parents are into crypto investment or trading? Some of them are sound and intelligent and they can comfortable operates their tabs while relaxing. If they're probably into crypto why are some of them advising their children to diseased from internet?

Let's see brilliant opinion
No age restrictions have been imposed from holding/investing Bitcoin as everyone is very welcome in crypto. As long as that person can understand the risk and what they have done, there is no problem. Talking about oldies, might be hard for them to use gadgets and that was a problem for them which gives a reason why they decline this kind of opportunity which also I believe was a valid reason. Honestly, we can't urge anyone to be a part of crypto if that person is not capable enough.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In the best interest of investors, Bounties shouldn't be paid in Tokens on: March 17, 2023, 02:50:12 PM
to be honest, I really agree that bounty hunters should not be paid with the token project, because of course this will have a negative impact on the continuity of the project, we all know that most bounty hunters will immediately sell the tokens they get when the token is listed on certain market, this will have the impact of dropping the token price drastically, so that it is very detrimental to investors
But if you will understand their intention why using their native token instead of using established coins like ETH and BNB, you'll somehow get the idea of why they use it. I'd see that the situation is not the problem of the developers or the project itself but it dumps because of these hunters who care nothing about the project improvement and they are just after for money only, not by helping crypto to grow. In this case, if the situation will continue, it was too hard to expect new projects to grow but rather see them falling apart.
1548  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 17, 2023, 02:23:32 PM
A bot that makes sports betting predictions, according to the author of the first video, it seems to me that it may well be a useful tool that makes it easier for players to bet on a possible winner, because not everyone is deeply immersed in the events of different sports and an extra analysis will always be useful.

from my experience I would say that AI will not be able to bring consistent profits unless the person makes a combination of the results obtained from the AI with analyzes obtained by himself, I will give a concrete example: let's say I want to bet on the game between:

...
This would tell us that no perfect technology that could see what will happen next. Though we can appreciate how this AI has been created but when it comes to gambling, they are just like us humans and they can be wrong. At the end of the day, the house still makes money even though all gamblers will use this technology.

Because what I see is that everything that has been created has some limitations and so we can't expect AI's knows everything and is able to surpass theeir limitation.
1549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: March 17, 2023, 02:04:02 PM
Therefore we must be able to control our greed when we get profits, and be able to control our emotions when we experience losses. Setting profit targets and setting loss targets must be done from the start so that it becomes a benchmark for when we should stop. Don't try to exceed the targets we set at the beginning, because usually that's the first thing we will feel regret when what we do is wrong. In that way we can control ourselves, not even to become addicted to trading.
Discipline in the framework must really be applied, so that we understand the strengths and weaknesses of our trading system. There is no one perfect strategy, of course each has its own strengths and weaknesses, usually what happens is that people easily change strategies if the results don't match their analysis. until they are busy looking for the best strategy. therefore we must be in the environment of traders, so that we can tell each other about experiences, so that we can develop ourselves
Well, being in a group of people who are experts in trading could really give us a brilliant idea which uplifts our capabilities. Keeping these people on our side will create good trade communication which I see positive outputs and hear most of all, we can hear advice that can really help us when making decisions. To become successful trader must also have control of ourselves and accepts advice/correction for every mistake we have. Otherwise, we end up a failure and broke.
1550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 17, 2023, 12:36:34 PM

Anyways, they might still end up in the third place though if Ginebra Kings will win their game tonight against TNT Katropa which i think they will because they are now leading by double digit going into the fourth quarter.

The first half belonged to Ginebra, while the second half belonged to TNT. I didn't see a good second-half team this game. It was supposed to be Ginebra who dominates in the second half, but TNT took over. However, despite the outcome, I'm happy to see that there's a team that could match up with Ginebra. So, we can't count TNT out of the championship talk.
1551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: March 17, 2023, 10:18:37 AM
and also why ask KIDS ? why not mature people ? maybe they will at least have second thought on what to choose.

Mature people are more likely to have heard at least a little bit about Bitcoin to know it's probably worth more than $100. And if they didn't know, they'd probably make some level-headed response (e.g. "I'm not sure what Bitcoin is so I'll take $100"), which wouldn't be as entertaining as two ignorant teenage girls.

And as posted above, it might have taken a while for that guy to find anyone choosing $100 over 1bitcoin.
And it is reality , it happened unless it is scripted? not sure about that but yeah if people had understanding about bitcoin then surely this will never be the response as choosing 100 dollars for a thousand dollars valued coin lol.
imagine if they have to choose a grams of Gold ring over 100 dollars then they will choose that ring , but instead not towards bitcoin .

Whether it was scripted or not but a kid's mind will simply take what they can see physically rather than thinking about an imaginary thing Bitcoin. Besides, they don't have an idea what that thing is and what they do with them. And it was obvious that they will choose money.
In fact, even matured people that already heard about Bitcoin still have no idea what is it. Lack of education is really the reason but these misinformations that we get online will certainly confuse readers.
1552  Economy / Speculation / Re: what If Bitcoin Price never comes up on: March 17, 2023, 09:56:41 AM
For the short term maybe the price will be difficult to go up and even down, of course it will be a boring thing if the bitcoin price doesn't go up, a lot of people will sell when it doesn't go up soon in the long term, but the decentralized system is unique because bitcoin prices can go up and down occurs tens of percent in a day, and a few hairs then the price can go up more than 20% in a day.
It pumps and dumps because that is the nature of the market, that is what we called volatility. If OP is assuming it won't, then we can't say that the crypto market is not decentralized anymore but gonna be manipulated. We can't expect a rise in a day but we can expect it for a couple of days or even years. That is why I don't look at the market chart and check the price everyday because it only disappoints me as the price won't move far from yesterday or might I just see the drop.
1553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still a good invest? on: March 16, 2023, 10:08:21 PM
Do you think that meme coins still have a chance to do well in the next bull market? Would you still invest on projects like shiba inu and floki inu.
If I see that his price will go up, I will definitely invest in it. There are a lot of people backing that coin, big investors. It is certain that investors will not allow them to lose, so they have to do something. It is possible that if someone sells a lot of coins, they have buy orders that are ready to participate in the price so that it does not drop too much. That's why meme coins still have a chance to do well in the next bull market.
If you think that they are really promising and have the chance to pump in the upcoming Bullrun, you'd better buy them now rather than wait for their price to spike because the next thing that happens to them is dumping. In fact, it was a common scenario in the market and if we are aware of this strategy "buy low and sell high" you will actually be thinking of doing it before the bull season comes.

I really don't have the guts to buy meme coins but I saw Shiba Inu is somewhat having a bigger chance than it was been showing it before. Well, just buy only in small amounts at least, whatever happens, it was not totally regretting.
1554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 16, 2023, 12:03:04 PM
The last decisions is on donaires's hands as we all know he is old enough but if he want to fight then for sure he have a solid support from the crowd  but if he gonna hang  his gloves and focus on his family then that's a good decision for him.

Old but still a champion, that's what's going to happen to him after this fight. He can retire as a champ or try to fight challengers to keep his belt, which would help him earn more money while he is still active. When it comes to retirement, there are only a few opportunities for fighters. One is the exhibition fight, but he'll not make a lot of money with exhibition fights compared to a real fight.

Personally, I would not speculate too much. I just want to witness Donaire fight again and remain hopeful that he'll win.
1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 16, 2023, 10:51:45 AM
It is absolutely crazy to me that half the people in this thread voted for Thurman to beat Spence.
This is going to be one of the biggest mismatches we've seen.
Thurman can't take body shots, he hates fighting at a fast pace and I don't think he can fight in the pocket particularly well.
I have researched this fight extensively and I can't see one way that Thurman beats Spence.
I think Spence stops Thurman in the 9th round.

"What's wrong with that? We vote based on our personal opinion, and while you might be right with your statement, it's better to be honest. I know Spence is a great boxer and a heavy favorite against Thurman, but that cannot change our decision. Let's just see the outcome of the fight and whether our expectations are met.
1556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too late to start? on: March 16, 2023, 09:03:00 AM
...
I do not know why people end up having doubts about this, because it is obvious that we are not going to end up with any issues at all, we will be basically doing as well as hoped if you buy right now and hold it until the cycle goes to the top.
There is no reason why they keep asking about this other than being doubtful. If we keep this kind of feeling against Bitcoin, I was certain that we just end up selling our BTC at a losing price - buy high, sell low...
In this case, I don't make people think and ask "if are we going late" but rather help them think about the opportunity it gives to us while the market price is still low. No Pain, No gain - and if we keep doubtful, no way we can understand how crypto works.
1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what about the fate of altcoins if btc drops to 10 dollars? on: March 15, 2023, 09:42:34 PM
we will not know for the price of bitcoin in the future, and I just want to know what you think, about the question this time that I will ask you all, namely..
what will happen to altcoins if btc price drops to 10 dollars?
Of course, I don't want to think about it but if that really happens, I don't expect that all altcoins have value as well. Because as we notice that altcoins and these shitcoins are heavily affected when the market is down. When the price of Bitcoin got huge corrections, everything is about to follow and the market turned red. And that $10 price of Bitcoin is enough to see the majority of the altcoins are already dead.

But for me, it was an unforeseeable scenario of the market. Bitcoin won't drop like that unless it was the end of the crypto world where nobody has an interest in this.
1558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 15, 2023, 11:13:37 AM
I don't think he will retire just yet. I can see that he still feels like a young boxer even today and even had the guts to challenge Moloney for the WBC title. But I guess both boxers are trying to go the easy way to take the belt. Moloney dodges the fight or it's Donaire, it doesn't matter but I do believe these two will try to meet to unite the belts.

We are speculating again, of course. He will not retire, as he has not mentioned retirement yet. Though his age is considered old but the way he fights shows he still has the heart of a champion. His upcoming fight will prove the doubters wrong. It may not be against a major challenger, but a good win will always attract the attention of the crowd.
There aren't many doubters here for Donaire; in fact, I believe that the majority of us are counting on him to beat Santiago. If he were up against Moloney, the challenge might be tougher, but in this case, Donaire is listed as the favorite to win, so he is likely to emerge victorious.

Therefore, I'm optimistic that he'll win via knockout.
That's what everyone is expecting, as Donaire is known to be a knockout artist. If he can't KO Santiago, then he'll be in trouble and might lose on the judges' scorecards.
1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 15, 2023, 10:42:13 AM

It will be a test for Inoue if he can really strip the belt out from Fulton after choosing to move up in this new division.

Let see how he will continue if he can still dominate to this new weight division.

It's a test, but not a big one, because even though Inoue is the challenger, people still believe he'll win without a problem. If Inoue beats Foltun easily, it will reveal that the current division is weak, so Foltun has to be aggressive and go toe-to-toe against the challenger.
1560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 15, 2023, 09:37:24 AM

There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrencies. If we only focus on altcoins, ETH is the most successful smart contract platform that owns the largest base of fans compared to other altcoins. The current market cap of Ethereum is over $200 Billions and the this will be more likely to increase in the long term. Can ETH be considered as the King of Altcoins ? What do you think ? Please let me know.
Perhaps, your insights are right. We already know that ETH had played an important role more than any altcoins in the market. Not totally I would say it was the king among altcoins but considering its huge participation in raising the crypto market together with Bitcoin, we can say that it was a big factor to think that ETH deserves to be in its current position next to Bitcoin. And no other altcoins could ever take that place or be even more valuable than what it did to the crypto world.
