If I want to start mining XMR now with a 3 GPU system, what would be your suggestion? The card should be energy efficient, but also produce reasonaböe hash rate. Had a RX570 here for testing, it did not even 500 at stock, power consumption was >100W. A GTX 1060 would consume less power, what hash rate can be expected?
I have 2 RX480's giving me 1224 H/s... Depending on the current hashrate, I typically net .5 XMR per week.. all good with me! What miner you use? That's very low.

Guys, I've built computers before, but never with multiple graphics cards. I'm planning to build a mining rig with multiple GeForce GTX 1060 cards. I plan on starting from 4 or 5 and rev it up to about 8 over time. The question I have is how do you pick a motherboard for that?
PS. I'm assuming a power supply is just a sum of the wattage on all components, right? Or are there some specific PSUs that you recommend?
Thanks for answering my newbie questions!
I have Asus Z270-P, like it, up to 8 GPUs. Z270-A can have 9 GPUs. Yeah there are calcs on the internet for PSU. I have Corsair HX1200. Or EVGA is good, better to use single rail it is save. The Corsair has switch for multi or single rails. Mobo need to have 4G above in bios.

i would rather it not be dvi-d, hdmi is better since i can plug it into any tv and can spread out my rigs better.
DVI is compatible with HDMI, you just need simple adapter, maybe 2 bucks? There were rumors about similar cards a week or two back, this is the first concrete sign I've seen. Appears to be legit, googling the model number 11256-31-10G finds lots of foreign-language sites with listings mentioning mining + 1x DVI I'll take five? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I've done a research too, they are also in my country (CZ), but there is no image and connectors says DVI/HDMI/DP... These are not AMD they are all NVIDIA. AMD didn't confirm on making any mining GPUs.
I've made topic on the NVIDIA card also, but this isn't that one. If the bios what I have is legit for this it's RX 470. From what I know neither NVIDIA confirm mining GPUs only rumors...

I hope this is hoax! Well probably it isn't... I've got some info about AMD mining GPU. https://3logic.ru/?A=5&SI=1&I=53263I also have bios for this card... It's seems like reference RX 470 with Samsung memory. 1206/1750 MHz Specs: https://i.imgur.com/SglUhyu.pngDoes anybody have info about card like this? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FIOOt9z2.jpg&t=663&c=bT09BeQ6jBO9yA) I've got real pic sent to my e-mail ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fed4F3QX.jpg&t=663&c=sTT_1bQ76Qk2rQ) Once I have some hashrates I will report it here. Also it has different timings, not like other RX 470 Samsung cards. I haven't decode them yet...

Might be:Bios setting to PCI GEN1 (advanced menu) and Above 4G decoding ON (it is in the Boot menu) Update bios first
To make a fresh start pull Power Plug . So Bios lights are all out.
Thanks for your reply mate, I really appreciate it. I have enabled the - " Above 4G decoding ON" option in the advanced settings. Will try the other option too (' PCI GEN1') * Having no monitor is definitely not the problem right? I will update the BIOS as soon as I can. Thanks Mate. Reg. I have same mobo with 5 GPUs, sometimes there is problem, but I have only 4G above and PCI-E set to auto. I have pluged monitor in so... My screen sometimes doesn't show anything, but boot in to the bios and switch primary gpu to auto works.

Hi guys,
I got a Sapphire RX570 ITX yesterday which is doing quite poor. I have around 450-470 H/s stock and can go up to ~500 H/s when setting the RAM to 2000. The card consumes over 100-120W of power, which is also not so good. I tried with the latest Crimson on Win 10 x64 with Claymore and ccminer.
Any idea what I could try to get higher rates without modding the BIOS? Or is this the normal range for a RX570. Didn't the 470 go up to 700-800 at stock?
Best regards
Stefan
What do you mine? XMR? Stock 470 for XMR is about 500-600 I think. You need to OC is you don't want mod the bios. Don't use claymore. Use XMR-STAK or SGminer, XMR-STAK has lower power consumption and little bit higher hashrates than Claymore, SGminer has higher hashrates and a little bit less power consuption than Claymore. I've made a guide: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954245.0

Added hashrates with SGminer

It is about USD0.11 in my country. I still have a day job.
That's great price! In CZ it's about 0.15 USD, we have something called night current, it means better price at night.

As I ordered 570 4gb and dag getting bigger will the 4gb enough for eth mining or newer cards like 570 won't have any problem?
Its going to reach 4GB in around 2 years at current rate but it doesn't really matter. Be it the burst of the current bubble or eth switching to PoS or the difficulty bomb, eth mining will be over way before that anyways. I think ETH won't be profitable with GPU mining in 2 years.

Keep dreamin....
Why would I? Last week I've bought RX 480 MSI Gaming for 228 bucks, that's half price of 1070...

|

Yeah, but for the price of 1070 you can have 2x 580 I doubt there are heaps of 480/580 for sale for about 200 bucks / euros. Will be in few weeks.

Added link for GPU OC Added youtube video with PBE bios mod Added ETH hashrates

|

Any 1070 achieve 30 to 32 MH/S Ether just by OCing under windows so What to mine is not accurate.
Yeah, but for the price of 1070 you can have 2x 580, that's more than 60MH/s, with Samsung memory and knowledge it could be 66MH/s. Yeah I meant mainly Monero :3

I have this model (ASUS STRIX RX 570 ) 1500->2000 timings 1300 -> 1100 gpu clock 1900 memory clock I get stable 27.6MH/s with roughly 116W per card
On top of this I undervolt 50-75mv per card and can get to 104W per card stable. (100% fan)
edit: just to add here are my settings in polaris. Note this is just what i've tested and done - it may or may not work for others but it does for me. If you find improvements that you've tested would appreciate replying and sharing.
Hope to help
Performance timings.

I'm using Wattman to tweak. Strangely enough this happens on my GPU with highest ASIC quality (90.5). If I increase mem voltage from 900 to 1000 (or even auto), VDDC goes up by approx 100 mV too and then everything's throttling. I've tried increasing power limit by 10%, no change.
Is it happening also with stock bios?

Fellas
Been mining for quite a while with a bunch of RX 570's, but I seem to have some issues with one card. Upon closer inspection, I saw the load of the memory controller on said card is going up and down all the time, negatively impacting hashrate.
Any idea why that is? There are no memory errors, neither core nor mem are throttling, temp is fine. I'm using Claymore miner (ETH+SIA @ -dcri 16).
Stock VRM voltages? Set lower or higher and test. You can use WattTool.

Seems like good shop and also riser is great, 6 PIN and voltage led.

Sure. But that's in the past before nVidia Pascal came to the market a year ago. nVidia Pascal architecture is way more energy efficient than Polaris when the GPU core is heavily utilized. If there's a good CUDA optimized miner for a certain algo, a GTX 1070 murders a Polaris with hashrate and efficiency. And of course it should since it's a more advanced and more expensive card.
BTW, mining with Polaris cards is an absolute pain in the ass with the need for bios mods to get a decent hashrate, many different memory brands which need different individual bios tweaks, the need for hdmi dummy plugs or monitors connected to the cards, tweaking with wattool, etc.
Pain? I call it fun ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) That's what makes AMD for lot altcoins the best. 25% more hasrates with same or lower power usage :3
