hi. I have the Rog Strix 580 8gb. I have modded bios to achieve 29.2 mhs. My setting are 1100 core and 2100 memory clocks. I have it under volted to 1050. Its stable dual mining eth and dcr at 29.2 and 730ish. The card is running around 205w. I am just wondering if anyone has better performance from these cards at a lower power draw. Thanks!
UNDER-volted to 1050? Jesus, if that's undervolting, stock voltage must be terrifying. yeah 1.14 avg stock http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/asus-radeon-rx-580-strix-review,5.htmlI think its the triple fans. They run at like 35% keeping the gpu under 58C. Damn looks like these cards are power hungry dual mining. Might have to back down the hashrate for better returns. LOL the xfx cards I have I have under volted to 850 and they only eat 130w @ 29.5 mhs and 750 for dcr. I have 6 Rog strix rx 580s 8gb for sale? LOL I've dropped my Sapphire Nitro+ Limited Edition RX 580 8G (Samsung) to 0.7875V and she mined at 30.2MH/s. Done under Linux. Thats a costly card. Its almost 30% more that the 570 itx.. but not 30% more performance as far as i know. MSI Gaming X RX 580 8G (Samsung) clears 30MH/s @ 0.8V even. Since im a lazy fuck... i havent played along with modding them yet. So last results i had were high power consumption at unmodded Oc'd card. But they did 26 fine. But used 150W unmodded. When.. IF... i eventually get the batch of xx new ones. I will do some real testing with mods and tuning. But by observing what it did with default stuff..i werent in any doubt before ordering more. The problem however.. Date of delivery is now pushed to 8th july.

I've got 3 x 4GB Gigabyte Aorus with Hynix and modded the bios for one, copied the 0:1500 to 0:1625, 0:1750 and to 0:2000 there are no additional memory options from the drop down though and there is no 1:1500 or 2:1500
I've also changed the core clock to 1140 and Memory clock to 2050 in MSI afterburner but still only getting close to the stock 20Mh/s. The modded bios does not seem to have impacted performance.
Any guidence on how to improve MH/s?

You may not have used the latest version of PBE, which should be compatible (until another slight change, unless they decided to parse shit properly this time): https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditorI tried that initially but it doesn't allow me to copy\paste timings

I can select the MHZ and it appears in the APPLY CH field in the bottom left but not able to select ANY timings or other values. PBE1.4 works fine though.....

I don't have a Windows system to test on, and don't use PBE... so can't help ya. Got it figured out, Polaris wasnt resizing correctly so teh timing field was hidden below the taskbar. Copied the 0:1625 straps to 0:1750 and 0:2000 in Polaris 1.5 and when loading it and rebooting the name of the Video device in ATIWinFlash changes to 'ATI Radeon Polaris 10" and claymore cannt see it..... Edit: Re-ran the atikmdag-patcher and it recognised the card correctly again however no change in MH/s.

Sorry, it may be insulting, but I gotta ask - cause some people would seriously not know. I have yes, I can get memory clock to 2020 before I get hardware errors, i've also managed to drop the core voltage to -96 stable in AfterBurner. Core clock has to stay at 1280other wise MH/s drops but i'd like to drop that too in an effort to conserve power Edit: actually i can no longer control voltage in afterburner, even if enabling it the option is greyed out.

That's what you get from copying those straps! I can offer you performance timings... BTW you can try SRB Polaris... It's not good, but there are buttons for copy straps from value to upper values Ehm yeah... Like Wolf0 says you need to use Trixx or Afterburner or whatever to OC memory, but not like you put there 2250 MHz and expecting miracle Look at the guide in my signature I've wrote about OC memory.

What do you mean by X Server? If I don't use a dummy plug I can't get temp and fan info from the cards and teamviewer rez is limited to 640x480... :-/

As I ordered 570 4gb and dag getting bigger will the 4gb enough for eth mining or newer cards like 570 won't have any problem?
Its going to reach 4GB in around 2 years at current rate but it doesn't really matter. Be it the burst of the current bubble or eth switching to PoS or the difficulty bomb, eth mining will be over way before that anyways.

Unless they keep the same reward and a pos/pow hybrid, it WILL be the death of gpu mining.

An X server... you know, the thing that makes a GUI for you, that fglrx requires before it'll get you temp/fan info and allow changing clocks? But... you say you're using Teamviewer... to control... a Linux rig... you're gonna need more help than I can provide. Where did I say I was using Linux? I did back in 2014. PimP rig. Windows wouldn't allow 6 GPUs back then. And even then I didn't need any dummy plugs with PimP. These new rigs I run now are on Win10... and they give me headaches every fucking day!
