I see Amazon charges $0.02 for a Debian instance. I suppose the processor cost is in addition to this cost.
The basic console is free, and it is a linux console. I suppose I should just makefile.unix for primeminer.
But could I clone the basic console for free? I suppose not lol.
You haven't seen any Amazon EC2 promos? They had a $100 promo but that seems to have disappeared.
INMHO I think you should change your title to "Easiest Guide for Cloud Mining Datacoin", because I think we should discuss all the VPS providers.
I made yesterday an amazon account too. What i understand is that they give 750 hours of a free micro instance. But it is really slow. around 0.17chains per day. I have it running right now. But why only Debian? I used Ubuntu 13.10. I am thinking of making a guide for amazon ec2 too. As for promos yes there was that 100 dollars but i dont know how and if it still applies...

1) Go to Digital Ocean with my referral link : https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=9d68ca19e204 2) Make an account there and pay with paypal or credit card at least 10 dollars. 3) Use this promo code for 10 dollars more: OMGSSD10 . If this promo doesnt work google search for another one. 4) At Digital Ocean create a droplet and put a hostname like Miner1 for example. 5) Choose how many CPUs and Region. I believe 2 CPUs 2GB ram is the most cost effective. (Choose at least 1GB memory) 6) Choose Ubuntu 13.10 x64 and then press "create droplet". You will receive an email with your droplet's IP and password 7) Download PuTTY by clicking here: http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty.exe8 ) Run putty.exe and at Host Name put the emailed IP address and press open. At warning message press Yes.(Or whatever to just continue) 9) Login as: "root" (You just right root and enter ) and for password put your emailed password and enter. Hi, I have done up to here, but got stuck, because I do not know how to copy n paste the long command onto the black screen. Can you help me, please? If you use putty you just copy and with right click you paste on putty. If you dont use putty you cant paste.

What do you think about those new things they say about piratebay these days using bitcoin something for torrents and kimdotcoms meganet and how do those affect Datacoin if they affect it at all?

Why not confirm datacoin? Appear in not available so take 3 hours. What should I do to fix it? Screenshot: http://prntscr.com/2iuwzgIf you mined at gpool you have to wait 3000 block to mature. But dont worry you will get them

I made this coin just for having a coin for my friends and me its not my intention to put it on exchange or make any profit from this.
lie #1, friends don’t make public announcements to each other i made a public announcement to make it official and get the coin listed actually friends started mining it long after the announcement... but some people here also started mining (with a lot more CPU power than i can afford)... opened a pool and made a nice dice site this suppose to be a community effort ... and i was thinking that the crypto community is more open and helpful (like in other open source project) = friends? but instead people are being negative.. crying that there is no binary instead of helping to produce one i made a mac binary after a short time, and the windows took me a few days and a lot of work and tryinng - and its still far from perfect (the windows client crash when closing it) the premine of 500 blocks = 42*500*100/50000000000 .000042 % (WOW) i still don't intend to put in in exchange as i don't have money for it anyway.. and I don't think its really needed - more than enough altcoins already based on exact same technology. or maybe it is needed... a coin for every town, school i dont know i did it just for having a coin, and because a friend asked me to make it You are a big liar! Very big one cause you know that all blocks will never get mined! So It isnt just 0.000042% premine. It is faaaaaar more! And again not even 0.000000000000000000000001% premine is good

Greek, did you try Amazon EC2? I see they don't have Ubuntu but Debian. Shouldn't be too difficult to run primeminer on Debian.
Franco chains/d is what is really important. Primes per second I never look at.
No i havent cause i have a problem with my credit card right now. But i am gonna try it today i think...Also Debian shouldnt be any difference than Ubuntu. Same things may work. Maybe you dont need sudo in front of the lines or small things like that.... "chainsperday" : 0.00444241,
What that means? Is that good, or bad?
It means that you mine extremely slow. My laptop mines at 0.35 chains/day at least. What CPU do you use? Its like from a mobile phone

Anyway i checked at peercoin and i managed to make it say that it is minting.
But when you say "lay" you mean that i should not transfer Emercoins to other wallets cause i will have to wait 1 month for PoS mining?

Running an i5 3320M @ 2.6GHz. So actually a 2 core with 4 threads. Yes, the 2 cores are both very old. But surprisingly useful.
The i5 gave me 2 segmentation faults so far. So I think I should run it as a 2 core.
This happens too me many times on DO. The last days however i used 4019's DataMinerWatch and it restarts mining when it fails. And it is actually very good. Although i think there are some bugs, for sure now mining dies a lot less times! If you want to check it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=390911.0

Datacoin. Mine a serious innovative coin which is strictly CPU and has a lot of potential. Hype coins are dead. We finally are back to innovation coins...

Can someone do a step by step guide to PoS?
i am getting Minting suspended due to locked wallet...
What i did was to run the qt from cmd with this: emercoin-qt walletpassphrase <passphrase> <unlock_duration_in_seconds> true
I assume that <> arent needed
and also i have put in my .conf this: reservebalance=0

Hi how do you run multiple droplets and have them mining, bit of a newbie to this thanks!
You create more droplets and do the same... Or you can make an image of your first droplet and make the others from the image of your first...but i always just make more droplets and follow the guide...

and before anyone speaks about Satoshi, it doesnt compute for him to dump because by killing the coin he cant gain money. When he will dump everything will collapse so he couldnt gain by dumping...
How is that different than Dime or any of the other pre-mines? If someone dumps for example a few millions or billions dimes he will get a few BTC that actually have value. If HE dumps , and the word dump has a reason to be here, his thousands BTC, price will drop so low that he wont get even 10% of what he can get if he slowly sells. And actually if he dumps it is highly probable that the system will collapse and noone will actually get fiat...But there is no reason for him to do that. He will get money by selling slowly since btc market has services and actual value. BTC is backed by many services and there is no reason for dumping. . But dime and every other premine coin has no value at all cause there are no services! Only value is speculation. And speculation dies with dumps. I hope you understand what i mean...

Come on people, it's been almost a year since the first shitcoins appeared. If most people aren't getting any coins it just means someone's mining the tits out of it, it doesn't mean it's "super rare". Or you are aware of this fact and try to dump what little you managed to mine on noobs.
it means that you dont need to have 1 trillion of coins to have something valuable but maybe a few are enough. The point isnt how much you have but what is the actual price of the coin. If anyone could mine with his random casual pc blocks this would mean that anyone would have this coin and that noone would want to buy this coin since everyone has it. Value is there when people dont have something but want it. It how it works for every coin. Now if you ask me what would they want this coin? The only thing i have to say is because they may think its value will rise in future plus that it isnt premined. And thats all. Nothing innovative here... I cannot understand why people feel like they should be able to actual own coins that are valuable after trying to mine for only 1 day? Actually less than a day... Really why do you guys believe that you deserve money for doing actually nothing for a few hours? Seriously! Try to think what i mean. I dont care about the specific coin. I am talking about the philosophy of noobs these days that think that they should also have the right to own something valuable without doing something. Its capitalism! It doesnt work like this! Something has valu when some people cant have it!

I'm just mining on 8 physical cores - 4 on an i5 PC and 4 on 2 duo core PC's. I am getting about 1chain/d and 1DTC per day. Using primeminer on xpool.
I think this is a bit low since my i3 laptop gets 0.35-0.4 chains/d alone. 2 cores 4 threads. but its sandy bridge though so i suppose your i5 is older than sandy bridge. (i dont know much things about cpus...) As for the duo cores they must be quite old...arent they?

Is Dime in the high risk category because of the number of coins or something else? Virus?
dont you see that 8% premine? Before the huge rush of noobs here even 0.1% premine was a scam. I cant believe it is not obvious now! lol and you want to know why? Because when and if ever the coin gains any price at all nothing stop the Dev from dumping all of it and killing the coin for good. and before anyone speaks about Satoshi, it doesnt compute for him to dump because by killing the coin he cant gain money. When he will dump everything will collapse so he couldnt gain by dumping...

Hi , this is my state of mining : { "blocks" : 8729, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.03820623, "errors" : "", "generate" : true, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 1633, "networkhashps" : 7901943, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }
they are good ? "blocks" : 8729 those are the blocks. Since it has downloaded them and it isnt stuck at 0 or somewhere low it means you are connected "genproclimit" : -1 means that you mine with all available cores "hashespersec" : 1633 and this is your hashrate. Its quite typical i think. Although still much better than mine that was around 800 yep you are good
