Girona continues to stay close to Real Madrid in the La Liga championship race after a dramatic victory over Atletico Madrid. Girona once again surprised all of Europe with his explosive surprise. They are creating fierce competition with Real Madrid as the two teams continue to be equal on points. Girona is proving that it is no coincidence that they are the team with the best attack after the first leg of La Liga season 2023 - 2024. Not the leader of Real Madrid, nor the defending champion Barca, Girona is the team that plays the best attack in La Liga this season. They are the team scoring the most goals in the tournament, 6 goals more than Real Madrid. Have you seen their attack without any outstanding names, but is making waves this season?
They should've been the club on top if they had won the game played against Real Betis right before they went off for the first half of the season. Personally, I'm impressed with how far they've come, I'm not just sure how it'll be like when they day they want to win the La Liga with all these pressure from Real Madrid. I don't think that transfers in January have ever been of such a significant importance that they helped a team win the Champions League. If that was the case, I wonder what type of player you are talking about. Of course, if Real Madrid would sign Mbappe in January and he would score several goals in the final round of the Champions League, then it would perhaps be true, but since that won't happen, I doubt that any transfer in January would literally be responsible for the Champions League trophy at the end of the season.
I already said what type of player I was talking about. A big transfer like Mbappe could change the direction of the Champions League for the team transferred him. We can't be 100% sure about this transfer not to happen in January at the same time. I just feel like it would happen this summer probably rather than January. But it is really difficult to be sure of something in the transfer market. It is all about money and what that player feels about this transfer to happen immediately.  Since Mbappe is available for a contract offer we never know. The French Captain has no interest in transfer window currently, he's strongly focused on the performance of the team. I no longer think he'll a part of Real Madrid if he doesn't make the switch whenever it comes out again. Even if he wants the switch to Real Madrid it won't be this January, he still has a contract with them and he has to respect that. I don't expect a switch personally, but next season? Nah, Man will be off Paris Saint Germany. Against Real Sociedad, they'll emerge winners, this is the Champions and Luis Enrique will do all he's got to win that game. AC Milan might be on the list of favorites to win the Europa League title in terms of teams, but Liverpool and Leverkusen are the favorites based on current performances. AC Milan is a better performing team compared to Leverkusen but this season is not for them as their performance is not good at all this season. Leverkusen and Liverpool have been in the best form this season so it wouldn't be a surprise if either of these two teams were to win, and it wouldn't be a surprise if the two sides met in the final. I would consider Liverpool as favorites for this season at least and if they don't perform too badly then Liverpool could win the Europa League this season.
AC Milan, Liverpool, and Leverkusen are the favorite teams to win Europa League title. They have quality players on their squad, they also have good experience in international matches. So, no doubt that they are superior against other teams in Europa League. However, we can't underestimate other teams, smaller teams are impossible to eliminate bigger teams. AC Milan and Liverpool performance look not really stable in international matches, they also look not in their best form in domestic leagues. I only see that Leverkusen is the most stable team in the term of performance. So, Leverkusen should be the most favorite team to win the title. I doubt Milan's performance. I'm not sure if Milan can win the European League title because in my opinion the clubs that are more favorite are Liverpool and Leverkusen. Indeed, in terms of squad, Milan and Liverpool are superior because they have top players compared to Leverkusen, but the players Leverkusen are able to work together well and compactly so that their solidarity is very high and indeed so far the performance of the Leverkusen players is still extraordinary under the guidance of Xabi Alonso so in my opinion it is possible that Leverkusen will be favorites in winning the title this season, whether it is the league trophy Europe or the Bundesliga. Since Bayern Munich is a giant team, a striker that suits Bayern Munich is Harry Kane. The goals he scored in the Bundesliga show how much the team needs him. Bayern's offensive line now scares its opponents. Harry Kane has already scored 21 goals in the Bundesliga. I think this figure is the highest in recent years.
The moment he made a move to Bayern from Spurs it was obvious that he will be scoring lot of goals. With Spurs he had this duo role of scoring and assisting players on the wing in attacking buildups buth now at Bayern he is enjoying his pure striker role and scoring lot of goals. No wonder he is top scorer of Bundesliga right now with 21 goals. The player of such calibre has to have a title under his belt and with Bayern he can achieve lot more. Right now Bayern are 2nd on the table but they can come out to win the title this season and I hope they do so that Kane can really have something. Harry Kane is definitely one of the best strikers in the World right now. Some might argue that he is the best. And when you are playing in a big team like Bayern Munich, you are bound to perform. But the luck he had in Spurs is very unfortunate. He was so close to winning the Premier League one time but he became 2nd. He pulled the Spurs a lot. But now I think they will win this season a trophy and will win the first real trophy of his career. It is very outrageous that a world class player like him did not win a trophy in his career. Lewnadonski lost his touch in Barcelona. But he was doing very well in Bayern Munich. I think the blame is on Barcelona's management. Duke I'd agree, because he creates and also scores for his teammates and for himself, the perfect man for any big club, I guess the only reason why Real Madrid didn't make strong chase was because of his age. Some would want to compare him with Erling Haaland, but Erling Haaland doesn't create for himself at times. I was really starting to think that Cremonese were going to do it again. Because they maintained their 1-0 score advantage for a long time really. But Lukaku and Dybala took a big responsibility in the last fifteen-minute period of the game by scoring goals. This comeback brought Roma the next round at the same time. Quarter finals matchups are really fierce ones already. If Juventus get past Salernitana obstacle as well then they are going to have the easiest matchup against Frosinone on paper. Chelsea still have a chance to win a title this season despite having a really bad form meanwhile. I mean the EFL Cup title by the way. Because they have reached the semi finals and they will probably won't have big issues against Middlesbrough as well. However the main threat there will be Liverpool as they would also eliminate Fulham to reach the final stage.  I would expect Liverpool to be as determined as Chelsea to win this title honestly. Because Klopp is also trying to make a big progress after an inadequate level of performance in the last season. But let's see. Chelsea had better give their best for the title. Yeah, I'd agree with you, Chelsea has always given coaches without a single trophy the chance to win one. There was only girona as the strongest opponent for the title race this season. A perfect run from real madrid has been helping the club so much. I do appreciate how real madrid tries so hard to keep its good momentum to keep win any match in the la liga. Girona was able beating almost all of big clubs in the la liga except real madrid. This is going to be a huge challenge for real madrid and girona.

Wayne Rooney without doubt had a very career as a player, but that's absolutely been the opposite with his managerial career and I think it's be better for him not to continue with the profession as he's failed in almost all the previous attempts.
Some brilliant and exceptional players do not go on to become good coaches, it's like that and you can't do more that yourself. Giving up is not an option in his chase and pursuit of success in his career as a manager. At least when it comes to tactics, he's not good enough, he should work with Pep Guardiola so he could know more than he does right now. I give and use Mikel Arteta as example to my pals whenever we talk about it, he's a better manager to Wayne Rooney, Lampard and Steven Gerrard. ( About Steven Gerrard, he's also not doing well with his new job, he be demanding for players signature, I'll love to see how it ends though!! ) Mikel Arteta for Arsenal would do a good job, the club knows he doesn't have enough players to execute his plans on the pitch. The only thing that is stopping Manchester City from overtaking Aston Villa is because of their outstanding match with Brentford but that will be settled very soon. I didn't expect them to have good form after they fell out of the table and because Haaland has not been active but now it seems Alvarez has took the show with Manchester City on his shoulder making the team proud. My only fear now about the Premier League is because of Arsenal, they raw 1 of their last 3 matches and 2 losses and this losses happen in a row, now it's difficult to describe the form of Arsenal. They are tired and need to change some players. Girona has taking the lead already in their game against ATM, the goal actually came very early considering the team they are playing against which is also having a decent form in the league but let's see how the first half of the game will end because the both teams are having almost an equal possession so far.

 Just a few months as Birmingham coach, Wayne Rooney was immediately fired from the coaching chair and this was not without reason because in 15 matches managing Birmingham he was only able to achieve 2 wins. I also agree with what you said. Kane is a great striker. He has a very high goal scoring instinct. This has been proven by the fact that he has been one of the best top scorers in the English league several times. And because the level of competition in the EPL is different from the Bundesliga, of course I think Kane will shine more and dominate the Bundesliga. The good news for Tottenham and their fans is about their famous player, Pape Sarr. Tottenham he a good performance since they started working with their new coach and during all these games, they had a good performance and they are on the top side of the Premier League while they lost their superstar player, Harry Kane. But Tottenham wants to stabilize their performance and that's why they extended the contract of their player Pape Sarr until 2030.  I've taken a good time to watch the lad and Yves Bissouma together, they bring so much stability, energy and strength to the midfied. It is really amazing that Kane has been able to score almost half the amount of Bayern Munich's goals in the league so far. He is simply the most important player for the team at the moment, the main goal source. Therefore Bayern Munich had better hope he doesn't pick up a long-running injury in the rest of the season either. Because his presence is very critical for them not only in the Bundesliga but also the Champions League. There is technically a possibility for them to win both titles this season. But they will need to work really hard for that. Leverkusen are their biggest opponent here and they need to improve their performance in the Champions League on one hand. As the winter transfer window started today, here comes a big news but this time from a coach and not from a player. Carlo Ancelotti just extended his contract with Real Madrid until 2026 which made the Brazilian national football team in a hard situation finishing the year without a coach nor good results.
This contract extension made also Zinedine Zidane in an awkward situation since first, his dream in leading the French national team finished prematurely after Deschamps extended his contract with them and now he lost a chance to train Real Madrid again. I think he could try or take the risk to manage Manchester United..
Is that so? I am not sure Zidane will take Manchester United who will make him a coach to replace Erik Ten Hag, it was clear some time ago about his statement Zidane is not interested in English clubs. I think Zidane will take another long break and he is not thinking of working in the near future, when he has an interest he will definitely say he will return and of course the club will look for a Zidane figure who will be made a coach. Zidane at Real Madrid has succeeded, if he wants to lead the French national team then he still has no chance for that. I can't continue making criticisms of coaches and players continuously because the game of football ain't easy. Zidane is not a coach Manchester United needs, he finds it difficult to handle pressure. He is not a risk taker, he wants everything done by already made players. Erik Ten Hag is not to be sacked, there's no better candidate for the Manchester United job than him. He will do a better job in the long run. It hurts me bad that, Manchester United fans has no patience. The signature of Mason Mount to Manchester United was not good, even before the move I said it here, that he is not a player I like but since the manager wants him, who am I? |

Every coach definitely wants to select the best player because their careers depends on their selection of players who will be able to help them achieve that which they desire to achieve with their team and so ten hag selecting the best player is him doing just what's expected of him and nothing more.
One big challenge I think ten hag has got isn't with selecting these players but managing them well enough to turn out optimal and give the desired results the team expects of them but in recent times it appears ten hag lacks good management around his players and that's why they seem to under perform under his supervision, a typical example is with onana too, martial could possibly be a good player but I think where he presently is could be a possible reason his performance could be be poor but under the management of another coach who turns out compactable with him he may perform even better.
No coach is perfect, atleast we understand the circumstances here and most of us wouldn't stand out to disagree with the present condition of the club. An important player moving to Marseille from Manchester united is weigh of track because the Red Devils needs his services in the frontline, Martial is not in form now but when he comes in strong form, he does incredible works for the club. Erik Ten Hag have faulty connections as a manager, he barely relates with his players, and have issues with those set of players that have failed to recognized him as top coach. For instance he had issues with Cristiano Ronaldo, that resulted to pushing the Portugal international to exits Old Trafford, and now is Jadon Sancho, who's crystal clear that he's recalcitrant to the coach instructions and he failed to understand that he's replaceable. Disliked the way they treated Cristiano Ronaldo honestly but who am I? You don't want to work with a player, why not communicate? It's same thing with David De Gea who they kept hanging. Anyways silence is a message but for a legend like David De Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag should have done better. Sancho be so stubborn. There are two sides of a story but he's shown he no longer wants the club. Let him move. Martial is Manchester United best Striker, he has just been seriously Injured and away for a while. I don't expect much from him. He shou be sold soon. |
