1581  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: March 23, 2016, 04:02:48 PM
Well it might be coming though it will definitely not happen any time soon our at least this year because there will be a halving event what will surely push the price up

I think bitcoin will never crash right now as a lit of people are interested in it and that means it is impossible to destroy right now

you never know what will happen with the bitcoin price. not many people think it will crash with the only reason being the upcoming block halving. but it's definitely possible. beside that, the price crashing doesn't mean bitcoin will be affected by that. crashes happen from time to time. it allows coins to find a new owner. weak hands get shaken out, and stronger traders take over.
1582  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: predict the date of the 2016 halving on: March 23, 2016, 12:34:28 PM
28 juli as i believe it will happen at the end of the month. i tried to calculate the average block times, but it won't help much since it changes quite a bit.
1583  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price should I buy at? on: March 23, 2016, 12:30:18 PM
Buying can be made any time. Only selling has to be given high consideration as it needs long time holding to earn a good profit.

For me the right price today is around the 350 - 380 mark. I don't expect the price to go very low, since this is the lowest price since a couple of months. Meaning from here the price can only go up.

the thing is that when people are waiting for the price to go down to $350-$380 levels, you might end up wasting your time and miss a great buying opportunity at todays price of around $415. i always buy with 50% of the money i have for investment purposes directly, and the other 50% of the money is for when the price goes down even more. that allows me to benefit from the price going up or down. it's a win win for me. if the price goes up, it's nice because i make a good profit. if the price goes down, it's nice because it allows me to increase my coins at a lower price.
1584  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: March 23, 2016, 12:25:07 PM
Its good to sell everything now on this moment. Because you can earn some good money with it. And I dont think that it will rise soon.
Because the price is stable now and there is nothing going to happen, maybe it will rise after the halving or something.

well, with the upcoming block halving ahead of us it is expected that the price will continue to rise with probably a peak before the day the block halving is active. if you have enough patience it is a good choice to keep holding your coins at least untill that day. if you can't wait because you have to sell for personal reasons, then you can sell at whatever price you want.
1585  Economy / Economics / Re: What Will Happen to the Price of Gold? (Gold Price Discussion) on: March 23, 2016, 12:21:40 PM
i am already happy when the gold price stays around its current price levels. it will make it a more than perfect store of wealth for the people that don't want to keep their money into fiat or bitcoin. it's a great alternative. the only downside when you buy physical gold is that you need a safe location to store everything.
1586  Economy / Speculation / Re: Getting closer to Halving but .. no increase ? on: March 22, 2016, 05:32:11 PM
just have patience and all will be good. i think the real action will start 1 month or maybe 2 weeks before the block halving gets completed. we can't do anything other than waiting for the big boys to start pumping the price. i am sure all will come from china.
is that really if price will go up when halving come? some people who hold their bitcoin must be want to dump their coins, but who will gonna buy if more people want to sell ?

well, the price is expected to go up while we are coming closer and closer to the block halving. people that have been buying their coins at current prices and when it was sub $400 will most likely secure profits just before or just after the halving. people who are willing to enter the market at that time will put up buy orders at various price levels. and these people end up buying the coins that people are selling.
1587  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: March 22, 2016, 05:25:21 PM
bank lives in fees of transaction, bitcoin is not.... yet.
thats why bank feels bitcoin is a threat.
both are good because it's necessary for our real life but for online transactions Bitcoin more good currently because fastest and low fees
but bank also good for secure our real money

Maybe in the future, employers will offer us to get paid in bitcoin, whether it be the full amount or just a certain percentage, to our discretion.

if major companies indeed offer their employees to get paid in bitcoin whether it's in full or partially, then a lot people still need to convert it back to fiat at some point as they have bills to pay. you can't pay your mortgage in bitcoin. you can't pay your health care and other insurances in bitcoin. if it was possible to pay bills in bitcoin, then more people will not convert it to fiat, then they will directly pay their bills with bitcoin.
1588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: March 22, 2016, 05:19:19 PM
if internet just goes down it's not a problem but the problem if internet disappeared for forever it will trouble to not get access to your online wallet, all miner problem,etc..

if the internet indeed vanishes for ever, then the entire infrastructure that depends on internet will be unusable. it's quite a doom scenario that will never happen. it may only go down for a short while. not for ever.
1589  Economy / Speculation / Re: Getting closer to Halving but .. no increase ? on: March 22, 2016, 05:09:35 PM

1590  Economy / Speculation / Re: Invest in BTC and have a healthy wealth in future. State your specualtions. on: March 22, 2016, 05:06:24 PM
i am already invested in bitcoin. i buy every month a certain amount of coins to increase my coin count as i believe it will pay off eventually. i have enough patience to hold my coins for plenty of years. i will enjoy seeing the value of my coins go up throughout the years. it's an investment and store of wealth at once for me.
1591  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: March 22, 2016, 05:02:28 PM
I don't know about bitcoin but i know that the halving is bad for miners. Miners are first who welcome to deny halving. But halving is good for traders and people who holding coins for price increase i think.

if the price goes up high enough after the block rewards have been decreased to 12.5btc, then the miners won't complain at all. if the price stays at current price level, then still the large mining farms can make profit. it will be the smaller miners that will feel the pain if the price doesn't go up much. these miners will most likely leave temporarily. they will come back once the price goes up again.
1592  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: March 22, 2016, 04:57:32 PM
Money or fiat cannot be replace any coin or bitcoin is just a digital currency forever and we are just using it as our money online..

I don't think bitcoin is able to completely replace fiat. I do believe however that bitcoin can be used as an alternative payment method.
you're right, I do not believe it. bitcoin is currently only used as one of the digital currency on the internet, and in any case will only be part of the internet, I think he will not be able to replace the money in the real world

bitcoin as it is right now is the perfect internet currency. when it comes to not-online transactions we can't ignore the supremacy of fiat currencies. that's where bitcoin still has a lot catching up to do in the coming years. it means that there is plenty of room for growth throughout the years. i really can't wait till the day that i can spend my coins in any stores here in my local place.
1593  Economy / Economics / Re: ECB Chief Economist: toolbox is not empty, "helicopter money" is legit option on: March 22, 2016, 04:52:02 PM
The global economy is well and truly fucked.

If I get my share of helicopter money it will be going straight in to gold

or some BTC & LTC Wink

litecoin will be the last option when nothing else is possible anymore. my money will all be put into bitcoin only.
1594  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will the Block halving impact the bitcoin price? on: March 21, 2016, 11:24:33 AM
nothing is for certain. for all we know the bitcoin price can stay here at $410 level for the whole year and just move a little.

but if it is half as it was like last time, the price will go up to 600-700 and more because of it.

True, It is more likely an increase in the price but besides a pump can happens, For example hit $1000 and after drop to $600-800 levels, For the reason that it can generate much excitement and if the price begins to grow then max price could be determined for  the big whales and when the whales does their game, nothing is written.

The whales are waiting for something. That is certain. But I don't know what. It seems to me they got plans else they would net rest the price around 400 dollars.
Maybe another pump because of the halving or something else?

whales aren't really waiting for anything. it's the community here that is waiting for the price to sky rocket. whales will do their work once they think the time is right. at the moment we're sitting in a calm phase which might bore some people, but the block halving panic will start once we're a few weeks away from the actual halving. that's when you will see the whales come to live.
1595  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price could hit all time highs in 2016 on: March 21, 2016, 11:19:35 AM
Without the willy bot, we can finally get an indication to what a halving will do to the BTC price. The landscape is VERY different to back in 2013 - in particular, there is no longer a central exchange like Mt Gox.

you are right, willy the bot is gone. but don't forget we still have okcoin and huobi that will perform some nice tricks in order to get the price to peak. just wait for it.
1596  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: March 21, 2016, 11:01:07 AM

Earning a living with the bitcoin is possible, but you have to keep in mind its risky to invest a lot of money into the bitcoin.
Due to the fact the bitcoin can collapse and you can lose a lot of money there is a chance that you will not gain any money, and by far no living.

it depends. i know a few people here that do some coding work as a side job to earn some money, and they always convert their bitcoins directly to fiat as they don't feel comfortable holding it in their wallet as the price can go down 10-20% easily in a very short time. these people don't risk anything in this case.
1597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin survive world war III? on: March 21, 2016, 10:55:02 AM
the real question is how will anyone or anything survive if there is a
world war 3 lol

think everything starts over if we blow each other up.
Lol yeah if a world war occurs naturally almost all countries in the world want to show off against their strength. good question. is it can you survive and still alive? lol
anyway I just think if the world war came. certainly bitcoin will become increasingly popular

Bitcoin will be limited by that time since everybody is at war and most miner building will be destroyed by the war and internet will be down in some countries who are in war,US and NATO will be bombarding EU and China.

those who are against people using bitcoin, may indeed end up bombing the larger mining farms in order to damage bitcoin. look in syria. entire parts of that country are destructed where there aren't any buildings without significant damage. there is still internet and telecommuncation possible. as long as that is possible, bitcoin will stay up and working. maybe not as stable as we are used to, but it will work. especially when mining farms are placed in strategic places.
1598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise? on: March 21, 2016, 10:47:35 AM
I think bitcoin has already started to rise, Price is stuck at a moment but its good to see that it is stable at a moment, and it will continue to rise slowly in next couple of months.

yes it is, IMO, when the time it reaches $400, hopefully next month there will be a good price movement, as it is moving a little going down.. I hope that it is just because of the weekend..
Bitcoin will of course rise. But you dont know when it will happen and that is the problem. Sometimes you need to wait a long time.
And that is the problem. I hope that it will rise for a long time and that we can have some huge profit in the future.

Indeed, the price will rise for sure without any doubts this will happen, its just a matter of time.
The halving will let this happen for sure in a couple months.

if there is enough demand throughout the years, then yes, the price will go up. but i think the impact of the block halving on the price will only last for a short time. there will be too much speculation in the price by that time, and we have to get rid of that before seeing a sustainable growth. there will be a lot volatility in the runup to the block halving. smart traders will sell at the right moment as a huge dump is expected.
1599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price settling at $420. on: March 21, 2016, 10:42:17 AM
if what you say it's true, i guess it's good for bitcoin because price get settling around $400 that will be the new bottom bitcoin price. in my opinion it's same like when bitcoin stay at $220.
The mid-term bottom still sits at $350. There is nothing technically to support the price at $400, it is only a psychological line.

phsychological support is also quite strong in certain scenarios. but right now the $400 level has barely any support. currently at bitstamp only 1180BTC is needed to get the price below $400 which can get dumped through in just a second.
1600  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: March 20, 2016, 04:21:38 PM
Investing into altcoin ventures can be profitable, look into coin ICO's and new coin announcements. That's where i put all my money Cheesy

you can't be serious, right? what you do is not investing. it's called gambling. some times you're lucky, and you win. and more often you're ending up losing money.
