161  Economy / Reputation / Re: PytagoraZ & komisariatku are alts on: March 25, 2024, 05:38:00 PM
In the light of recent discoveries, should we accept that PytagoraZ continue to get votes and therefore potentially win a prize?

He has cheated in the past with alts in some contests.

I thought about this since first moment I saw this thread. Unfortunately, the contest has no specific rules for dealing with current case. I believe there is nothing to be done about it -- at least by RickDeckard. The only thing which would be common sense, in this case, would be for users to not vote him anymore.

But since this is a forum where free speech is encouraged as much as it is possible, this involves also that people can vote for him and his pie. Receiving votes may look abnormal or immoral but, since no contest rules are broken, I don't think there is anything which can be done.

Maybe we can have Rick's input too, in case he sees this post...

Don't forget to add also Peanutswar's translation Smiley
Which one am I missing?

This one:

I told Peanutswar to announce the reservation in your thread (and he did it) then I also told him to announce in your thread the translation is done (but I think he forgot to do that Smiley).

An I missing something else as well?

No, only Peanutswar's translation is to be added to your OP.

I should focus on a new topic and try to write a good post gathering more than 50 merits, so that you guys of AOBT have a new one to be translated!

Hihi, that's also true! I am eagerly waiting to see another such topic from you Smiley

Translation added. Thanks to both of you!

Yay! Thank you, Porf!

Out of the three topics I proposed to translate a few days ago, as Gazeta suggested, let's add Recovering hacked/lost accounts by theymos to the list of ongoing translations. After being doing such difficult ones, this will be very easy Wink

Yup, I will do this translation too. And this will also help those working on the monster topics (DrBeer, paid2 and r_victory) to continue their work at ease, without needing to focus on the new proposed thread, as this one will be translated easy by others Smiley

Count me in with this translation, its very beneficial to other members that this kind of thread for awareness. Thank you will update again once the content is already done.

Thank you Peanutswar for your interest! At same time I also announce that I will perform this translation.
163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me translate my best posts in your Local Board on: March 24, 2024, 05:34:02 PM
A new translation has been added to OP:

Thank you dansus021 for this effort! Much appreciated! I hope that users from your local board will enjoy reading this material.
164  Local / Topik Lainnya / Re: Sebuah Deklarasi Kemerdekaan Dunia Maya – Kita semua harus membacanya on: March 24, 2024, 11:42:13 AM

168  Economy / Reputation / Re: PytagoraZ & komisariatku are alts on: March 23, 2024, 08:24:09 PM
I waited 2 months to post this but couldn't because both of these accounts had loans with shasan that they kept re-extending. Anyway, now that they are both fully paid [...]

[...]

I think the contest cheating, exchange of merits, and attempts to coax merits under the pretext that they are a newbie is enough to issue red tags on both accounts.

Both accounts are welcomed to defend themselves in this discussion.

Great job nutildah and also, very wise decision to wait until the loans were paid back to shasan. No wonder you won the title of Best Scam buster of the forum!
I tagged both accounts myself as well. Other than that, should also the other accounts found by jokers10 be tagged as well?

I didn't have time to finish my investigation, so I'll leave blockchain interconnections here. [...]

So, there are 11 accounts connected via blockchain

Impressive work, jokers10! Your finding brings more light over the amplitude of entire situation.

Oh well...

LMAO, this was precisely what crossed my head when I started reading this thread. For the reference though, let's give credit to The Pharmacist for the lovely picture =)))
169  Economy / Services / Re: [AOBT] The Alliance Of Bitcointalk Translators on: March 23, 2024, 07:44:54 PM
Count me in with this Filipino translation. I will update you once the translation has been done.

Maling paniniwala sa "Pag sira ng Bitcoin sa kapaligiran" isang argumento

Great job Peanutswar! Great job as always! Please do not forget to announce the translation is finished also inside fillippone's thread, thus he will be aware of that and add it to his OP.
Other than that, let's also kindly ask Porf to add yout translation to our OP as well... Smiley

i was also able to finish the polish translation

cygan, as always, is a monster translator, doing double jobs... So I take my hat off for all this hard work... Chapeau!

I think I have caught up with everything now.

Don't forget to add also Peanutswar's translation Smiley

Thank you for your incredible work!

I think it's us -- all forum users -- the ones supposed to thank you for all your thoughtful essays Smiley

Also, I think a new thread to be translated is now overdue!

What did you mean here?

Other than that, I come with some great news from DrBeer and r_victory.

r_victory said he will translate fillippone's topic as well, thus together with paid2's translation, the topic will have 10 translations, thus it will be finished.
At same time, r_victory and DrBeer said they will translate Husna's topic in Portuguese and Russian (while DrBeer is also working on the Ukrainian translation too -- which is simply amazing effort here, similar to cygan's). so with these 3 new additional translations, Husna's topic will reach 10 translations and it will finally be finished.

Much appreciation for your efforts, r_victory and DrBeer!

172  Economy / Services / Re: [AOBT] The Alliance Of Bitcointalk Translators on: March 21, 2024, 09:28:05 AM
Also, as a heads-up, fillippone's topic has now 6 translations and one more is in progress (French one), so only 3 would be needed to consider it finished.

I am coming back on this part with a highlight for fillippone's thread, hoping this helps and brings more visibility.

The topic has 6 translations, 2 more (French and Polish ones) being in progress thanks to paid2 and cygan. As a consequence, the topic will need 2 more translations:

So there are 7 possible translations left, but only 2 are needed, in order to flag the topic as being finished.

I take the blame on this one and I am sorry. I should had come here after the initial change [...]
Gazeta also warned me about your efforts to translate the topic, so thank you all for this (and the remaining work that you do for the community).

No worry Rick, we are (all) a team here, so our collaboration is very good Smiley I am referring abut the collaboration inside AOBTers and also about the one with you. All good here Smiley[/list]

Update: I've removed the self-mod from this topic. It gets derailed anyway, and I'm okay with that. I don't want to be able to make this mistake again, so I dare to drink alcohol again Smiley And I hadn't even had any yet.

I really don't understand how this was even possible... Didn't we have a rule well settled in the past?

Never browse this forum sober because this happens: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5102296.msg58619635#msg58619635

Needless to mention what happened back then Cheesy

That's a "trucker's piss bomb" if I'm not mistaken.  I see them all over the sides of the road, and as they're no doubt loaded with substances of delightful kinds

Substances of delightful kinds all the way, of course Roll Eyes Also very healthy, since it's 100% natural (sugar free too)!

Shit, I didn't know this was where the party was.  Sorry I'm late, my fellow cyclers!  All praise be to Foxxxxxy and cheers to my teammates.  And I'm sending positive vibrations out to wherever Leo is.

For some reason this line reminded me of an old post made by Despairo Cheesy

    Two hundred and sixty-first paid.

Thanks again for your flawless timing! I'm sorry to be late [various reasons involved through time...]
(...^Also hoping nobody senses the impersonation here...)

Hopefully everyone has by now regained their ability to walk normally, though that may be optimistic. Smiley
I will talk about myself here, yes! I can walk! Is it natural that I have started walking backwards though?

I am barely able to crawl after the... teeth I mean after the rose petals... I am trying to recover though...
176  Economy / Services / Re: [AOBT] The Alliance Of Bitcointalk Translators on: March 20, 2024, 05:45:29 PM

Thanks paid2! At same time, Rick also unlocked the thread so anyone can use the BBCode from both locations now (yours or Rick's).

As an effect of this, my translation is updated.

BTW, don't forget to share what you think about translating any of these topics, and/or feel free to make your own proposals. I also remember that even those who are not members of the Alliance can make suggestions in this regard.

From my perspective I'd vote for translating Recovering hacked/lost accounts. The other topics are very long and, seeing the struggle with the previous (and current) suggested long topics, I believe that our group members would have an easy life is a short topic is proposed... Also looking back, when we had short topics proposed, things went smooth... so maybe select this one now, as it is short...
177  Economy / Services / Re: [AOBT] The Alliance Of Bitcointalk Translators on: March 19, 2024, 05:01:58 PM
i've now sporadically visited some of the translations quoted above and unfortunately realized that they don't include the latest changes RickDeckard made in the op Tongue
in addition, almost every translation now lacks the new link to the current voting, which started yesterday... Undecided
You are right cygan, and I sent last night a PM to all the translators who didn't update their OPs so all of them are now aware of it.

That's a very good observation, thanks cygan and thanks Porf for the PM. The onbly issue here is the topic is locked, thus we don't have acces to Rick's BBCode. However, I PMed him and kindly asked him to unlock the topic, in order to be able to access the BBCode too. This would make the update much easier.

Still on this subject, our own AOBT OP translation needs updates in some languages:

    Our ANN in Local Boards:TurkishGermanRussianPidgin

So this should be in the attention of mindrust, Buchi-88, zasad@ and Hatchy

I finally finished fillippone's translation into Spanish
btw i have finally managed to translate this very interesting topic: Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument from fillippone into german

Big thumbs up to both Porf and cygan! Cheesy cygan, do you think you may translate it in Polish as well? No pressure here, of course, just asking...

Also, as a heads-up, fillippone's topic has now 6 translations and one more is in progress (French one), so only 3 would be needed to consider it finished.

BTW, I am pleased to announce that a few days ago we celebrated AoBT's FIRST YEAR on the forum! Congratulations to you all, and thank you for your commitment, good work, and company, my Bitcointalk fam Smiley

Happy anniversary to us, AOBTers! Hooooray!!!

179  Other / Archival / Re: 🍁 [banned mixer] - Create your own BTC business / Become an Investor 💲 on: March 18, 2024, 11:56:59 AM
Hi all! We have seen how some projects organize raffles. Would you like to see something similar from us?

Thank you for being interested about this matter, Jay Johanson. It is very kind of you to take into consideration such possibility. Indeed, some projects organized raffles in past months and all users interested in collectibles appreciated the prizes. some were very nice items (cards, hardware wallets). At same time, as you see in other replies, some forum members would prefer prizes in BTC, for preserving their privacy.

My opinion on this is, besides the fact that it would be a very nice gesture, that you can try make some raffles with prizes in physical items but also raffles involving only BTC prizes. Maybe make a raffle with a physical prize, then one with BTC prize and so on. Of course, the budget matters a lot, and only you can know what budget you have at disposal.

Regarding raffles with physical prizes I have an idea in mind, but I am unsure if it can be done... I am thinking about some coins made by casascius or Kialara. Or, why not, coins made by smoothie, so some Lealana coins... Such coins are very rare and I did not see them used as prizes in any raffle (raffles organized by other projects, that is). So maybe such prizes would be very unique.

Again, the budget is crucial, but I hope my ideas will help.

Thank you paid2 and eXch for another raffle! For more visibility, the raffle was announced in Romanian board too, in a topic dedicated to such announcements, but also in the translation of OP.

Good luck to all participants and many thanks for these prizes!
