161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price approaches $3k on: February 22, 2024, 05:26:48 PM
$3k has already been briefly exceeded. However, we are still more than 30% away from the ATH (around $4,700 depending on the exchange). Bitcoin is closer to its ATH in percentage terms, which means either Bitcoin is overbought or Ethereum still has some catch-up potential. I also think that speculation about a spot ETF in the near future could push ETH up quite a bit.
Well, if you look at the ATH, ethereum is still not far enough from its current price, but little by little, I think ethereum can reach that price, just like bitcoin.
Additionally, I think that this is the beginning of a price increase that could become very high. We know that the Halving hasn't started yet, but the price of ethereum has started to recover and is almost reaching its ATH. It is possible that, after the halving, ethereum will be positively impacted by the market, and the price could be much higher beyond its ATH. However, I feel that currently ethereum's movement is still quite good.

Yeah, indeed. Bitcoin has the advantage that the ETF has already been approved. This is still pending for Ethereum. Should this also be approved, I assume that ETH will also come significantly closer to its ATH. In addition, the Decum upgrade is planned for March or April, which could also provide a further boost. The Bitcoin halving could also give the crypto market as a whole another boost. A lot of events in the coming months that could have a positive impact on the prices.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 22, 2024, 05:22:03 PM
Since there are some speculation posts here that Klopp could perhaps take over as coach of FC Bayern directly after his time at Liverpool, his agent made it clear again today that this will definitely not be the case. He will also not be taking over a national team after the European Championships for the time being.

163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 21, 2024, 08:49:08 PM
Very surprising that Liverpool had so many problems against Luton in the first half. After conceding the early goal, Liverpool seemed to be paralyzed for a while. Fortunately, they came out of half-time better and Van Dyk was able to equalize. There were still 30 minutes left to turn the game around. Losing points against this opponent would be a major setback in the championship race.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 21, 2024, 08:38:06 PM
Tuchel will leave Bayern at the end of the season.

The natural choice is now Klopp.

No, the natural choice is now Alonso. There is a reason why Tuchel remains coach until the end of the season, as Bayern do not want a temporary solution until the summer. The favorite is certainly Alonso, he would suit Bayern for various reasons. Klopp has said that he wants a break from football, so it makes little sense for him to join Bayern straight after Liverpool. My guess is rather that Klopp could take over the German national team if Nagelsmann fails at the next European Championship or Nations League, and the chances of that are good.

Also, Italian media reported that Bayern and Zinedine Zidane are in contact.

It doesn't only make little sense for Klopp to join Bayern, it would be a slap in the face for the Liverpool family. Imagine how that would come across for everyone. Nobody would ever believe Klopp a single word again. I mean, look what words he used to justify his break. That he is without energy and can't go on and therefore has to terminate his contract early and then all that talk about the love he feels for the fans and the team and the club. No way that he could make a U-turn.

Zidane seems to have said that he will not deviate from his core principle which says that he only coaches teams where he understands the native language. He said that in response I think to some journalist who asked about his next destination just now and I think he brought up Bayern Munich,

Alonso is the way to go, I believe you are right! This is too obvious to not be true. Tongue

I don't think Zidane will end up at Bayern either, but there are also signs that there is at least good contact. A confidant of Zidane told the German sports channel Sport1 today the following:

"Zinédine views FC Bayern like Real Madrid: an institution as a club with a huge past and great working conditions. Both clubs have many similarities in the way they work."

That doesn't sound like an absolute rejection on Zidane's part. We will see.

166  Economy / Economics / Re: How can it be possible coping with one source of income on: February 21, 2024, 08:26:35 PM
Through out last year I find it hard to get things done with funds despite how my earning was and I find it hard to spend more on my bills around me , though I have been seeing some humans earning and paying bills with one source of income and I do ask myself how is it done

please your advice will be of help

Could you perhaps specify which country you live in and what income (or at least if you are below or above average) you have and how many people you have to feed with it (just yourself or a family)? Because there are very big differences from country to country and region to region. For example, here in central Europe it is still pretty common to live from one income source pretty good.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 21, 2024, 08:21:24 PM
Yes, it is true that Julian Nagelsmann failed to bring Bayern Munich to success, but at least Julian Nagelsmann was successful when he still relied on Lewandowski compared to Tuchel now who already has quality players like Harry Kane, will he also fail?
If Tuchel really fails after having star players, I think there's nothing wrong with comparing him to Julian Nagelsmann or even missing his coaching.
If Bayern Munich's decision is very strong to fire Tuchel, I hope that the Munich management will not make a mistake in looking for a replacement for Tuchel rather than having to lose the reputation of Bayern Munich's legacy of dominance in the Bundesliga.

You may think what you want of Nagelsmann, but he was clearly more successful than Tuchel, so it's all the more incomprehensible that he was sacked. Nagelsmann had a points average of 2.31 in 84 games. Tuchel has 2.02 in 44 games. 0.29 points more per game is a big difference in professional football and shows how underrated Nagelsmann is/was.

170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wasting your time if you take extra precautions while using monero? on: February 20, 2024, 08:28:55 PM
Monero's anonymity and privacy features are sufficient for normal cases.

I've never seen a Monero Mixer that isn't either a scam or at least seems very shady. I would absolutely stay away from it. The question is why would you want to go beyond the anonymity implemented by default? Do you have an overriding interest in anonymity and privacy or do you use it for things that are not entirely legal? Wink
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum gas fee on: February 20, 2024, 08:22:23 PM
Why is it when making some transactions on Eth network the gas fee is always higher than other network?

Ethereum fees are high due to several factors. The high fees on Ethereum are a result of the network's popularity, limited block space, network congestion and the focus on security and decentralization. Ethereum 2.0, a network-wide upgrade aimed at making the blockchain more scalable using PoS, is being developed to address the issue of high fees. This upgrade is expected to improve the scalability of the network and potentially reduce fees in the future .

172  Economy / Economics / Re: I went London i have questions now the wealthy life there on: February 20, 2024, 08:13:17 PM
So far as I know, there is no report that there is a major crisis in London, UK, right now.

Well, there are a lot, e.g. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/02/15/economy/britain-falls-into-recession/index.html

@OP:
You have to separate London from the rest of the country. These are two different worlds. London itself is the largest financial center in the world after New York, so a lot of money and wealth is concentrated there combined with low tax rates. If you drive an hour north, you will see a completely different picture, especially in the former industrial cities of the UK.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 20, 2024, 07:01:39 PM
The PSV vs Dortmund match will be won by PSV Eindhoven. The Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid match will be a draw.

Bold statement. I hold against it. Even though Eindhoven are doing very well in the league at the moment and Dortmund have weakened recently, I think Dortmund is clearly the better team. Of course, there may be surprises, but if the game goes normally, Dortmund should progress to next round.
174  Economy / Economics / Re: Save money today so money would save you tomorrow. on: February 20, 2024, 06:59:32 PM
Saving money alone cannot save us from the future's uncertainty but saving and investing as well will secure us a brighter future. While investing in gold can bring us a fortune, then the more that we can achieve financial freedom through saving and accumulating bitcoin.

Saving and investing is the key. Investing alone is not a guarantee of having a better live later. Investing is an art, apart from throwing your money into an S&P 500 ETF and hoping it will go up like it has over the last few decades.  People believe that because it was so easy to make money with the American index in the past, it will be easy in the future. But nobody knows what the future looks like. It may be that only special investments will really make money in the future.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: My top 3 picks for up coming crash on: February 19, 2024, 08:01:19 PM
Here in the US.

Consumer debt is at an all time high, defaults are increasing on vehicles and credit cards. Repos are up.

Official statistics say otherwise  Wink

(hope you recognize the sarcasm)

Remember this when you vote.......

Regardless of what you vote, there will probably be no change. The system is broken. Americans are living beyond their means, financed by the US dollar, which is exported all over the world. Without the USD as the reserve currency, many would be even worse off. That is why a new government will not change anything, the system must continue.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 19, 2024, 07:56:18 PM
There are 4 matches left in the first round of 16, PSV vs Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid, Porto vs Arsenal and Napoli vs Barcelona.

Still think that Dortmund, Arsenal and Barca should not have big problems to get into the next round. I'm going back and forth on who will come out as winner for Inter against Atletico. At the moment I'm leaning towards Inter, as they're dominating the league. However, Atletico are always good for surprises, so I assume both matches will be very close.
There is no doubt about Dortmund, Arsenal and Barcelona, but even if these three teams are favorites, there will always be unexpected surprises. Moreover, these three teams will play away matches in the first leg, of course their chances of winning will not be as big as at home. Home teams like PSV, Porto and Napoli will try to secure home advantage and even though it is quite difficult, at least they have to do it rather than in the second leg they will have even more difficulties.

On the other hand, if we talk about the Inter vs Atletico match, of course this is an even match and even though Inter has made a very impressive record so far, with the level of aggressiveness and mentality that Atletico has, the results will still be very difficult to predict. Atletico could win considering they have a slightly younger composition of players and I think Inter must know how to prevent attacks that Atletico will carry out later. Both teams scoring goals is certain and perhaps the match would be much more exciting if neither team wanted to give up.

Sure, there can always be surprises, that's part of the game, otherwise you wouldn't watch it if it was already certain who would make it into next round. But betting is always based on probabilities. And I think the probability of the three teams advancing is disproportionately high. Surprises are not ruled out, of course.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy pressure on: February 19, 2024, 07:35:37 PM
50k is of course depending on the nation, because in my nation that would mean you would be rich, you could have 8 kids and still be able to look after them (well at that point money won't be your only issue lol). However, considering it as USA, and if we put that into my nations situation, I would say probably someone who makes around 10k a year. With three kids, and 10k a year, you do not live properly at all.

Well social security is about $1000 to $1200 a month with some extra. So many living with around $12k to 15k. If you have 50k you are in a more senior position than many others. You shouldn't be blinded by all the $100k+ people flexing it on Tiktok and Youtube. Of course, it also depends on the region, but if you don't live in the centers and don't throw your money away, then you should be fine.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 19, 2024, 07:31:20 PM
With Bayer about to set the record for the unbeaten streak, I think we can already start predicting who will win the league, and so far the scales are tipping in Bayern's favour. The fact that they have lost three matches in a row says a lot, apparently the championship series is coming to an end, as sad as it may sound

Next two opponents for Leverkusen are Mainz and Darmstadt. Both are on relegated ranks and struggling, so these matches should not be a problem for Leverkusen to continute the streak. Bayern however has to play against Leipzig next match day that have a rising form. I wouldn't be surprised if Leverkusen have an 11-point lead after the next matchday. I don't see much hope for Bayern in the league at the moment.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 18, 2024, 06:49:43 PM
Wow, Tuchel's time at Bayern seems to be over. I can't imagine the Bayern management simply accepting this performance. I think they will sake him and go into the upcoming very important games against Leipzig and Rome with a new coach.

180  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy pressure on: February 18, 2024, 11:16:11 AM
It's a global thing that the goods that we consume are increasing, some may not be on a daily basis but you expect that if there's a rise on the crude oil and any related products. Then, all of the things that are being transported are also going to increase. It sucks that it all started during the war of Russia and Ukraine when mills have increased and oil due to demand and supply and even until now, everything has risen. Coming up with some news, UK has admitted that they're economy have fallen into a recession[1].
[1] UK economy slipped into technical recession at the end of 2023

It is not just external factors that have caused this. There are also many mistakes made by the counties themself.  The same in Germany. There, too, the country was hit economically by the war in Ukraine, but the reasons for the current recession also have to do with the incompetent government. The situation is similar in the UK, which has not developed any ideas for country's economy since the Brexit vote. There are also many positive examples of countries in the EU that have also been affected by external factors such as the war in Ukraine, but are nevertheless developing positively, e.g. Spain.
