Bayern Munich is interested in signing Antonio Rüdiger from Chelsea for next season. This has been reported by several sources close to the club. According to them, there have already been initial talks and coach Nagelsmann has recently also publicly praised the development of Rüdiger in recent years.

1062  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and protecting you wealth on: September 24, 2021, 10:15:10 AM
I recently listened to a discussion on which assets could actually be better to protect or even profit from inflation. This comes as most of the developed world is suffering the consequences of a soaring inflation and several pinch points in the supply chains and the international trade, such as a massive demand for freighters and severe queueing in ports.

How would you defend yourself from inflation:
- Buy bitcoin
- Buy more commodities.
- Buy REITs or real state.
- Buy stocks of listed companies.
- Buy art.
- ... any other?

Basically, there are many ways to protect your fortune from inflation in the long run. However, over the longest period in human history, gold has clearly proven its worth. Of course, real estate is an option, but real estate can be destroyed by natural disasters or wars, for example, or even seized by government, while this is much more difficult with precious metals. In recent years, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have also been added to list of being a protection from inflation, but I would still be cautious here. We all assume that Bitcoin is a hedge against inflation, but long-term data is still simply lacking to prove this. That's why my tip is gold.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 24, 2021, 10:09:55 AM
Normally Bayern München should win this game with big margin against Greuther Fürth. Sometimes we see surprise results in Friday games but I don't see any surprise today, Bayern will replay their last match. I expect at least three goals from Bayern just like last year, possibly more if they score first goal early. Their morale will be sky high before Dynamo Kiev game in Champions League. Bookmakers don't even give odd for Bayern for this game, you have to play for at least -2 handicap for ridiculously low odds. You can understand how easy this game is for Bayern just from betting odds.

Well bookmakers favorited Bayern Munich like they are playing against 12 year olds. Plus they are playing in an away game. Just check over 3.5 goals was lowered to just 1.35 odd. Are they that sure that Bayern will destroy Greuther Furth today or am i missing something

Bookmakers make only the initial odds. Subsequently, they will change based on how much is bet on which outcome. So it seems that 99% or more are betting on a Bayern win. Accordingly, the odds are so one-sided. Somehow, however, no wonder. Bayern is first in the Bundesliga with outstanding recent matches nationally and internationally, while Furt is last in the table with just one point.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good Time to Buy? on: September 23, 2021, 08:15:53 AM
Hello. All. Now the BTC Crash approx 10 - 15 % while alts also dip approx 10% I mean the whole market feel Bloodbath Today. Is it a good time to buy Alts? or wait for sometime?

10-15% loss in a day is nothing rare in crypto. You can't compare it to the stock market. The volatility is definitely higher. Therefore, this should not be understood as a bloodbath. A bloodbath would be a loss of 30-50%% in a few days, which has also happened many times in recent years.

Before investing now, one should understand that we are in a bear market, even if many do not see it that way. Bitcoin is currently at around 40k+ after its high of 60k+. This correction was necessary after the enormous rise, only since then the price oscillates somewhere between 37 and 48k, with the tendency to always have a lower low than before. This is a typical pattern for a bear market.
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Poker Rooms on: September 23, 2021, 08:10:42 AM
I also play online poker with a few mBTCs every now and then for fun. Over the years I have tried several providers, including those mentioned here so far. But I found Blockchain.Poker (https://blockchain.poker) the best so far.
The service is relatively uncomplicated to use. No verification or providing of personal data is required.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 22, 2021, 12:27:31 PM
If I consider the performance of the last few matches, I can see that the performance of Manchester City is much more stable than that of PSG. Manchester City scored 6 goals against Leipzig. PSG needs Ramos in this match. PSG's attack has not been very active in the last few matches. They can't attack too much. They must solve all the problems before playing against Manchester City. Otherwise, PSG will suffer a miserable defeat. This is Coach Guardiola's team. It cannot be considered weak.

If you leave out the previous European Cup games, the picture is a bit different. PSG has scored the maximum points in the league (6 games, 6 wins), while ManCity has won only three of five league games. A lot will depend on how PSG is positioned. If Neymar, Messi and Mbappe will start together again, then ManCity is my favorite. I still remain of the opinion that Neymar and Messi do not work together very well. Neither in the past at Barca, nor today at PSG.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and BSC on: September 22, 2021, 12:20:48 PM
One of the reasons why binance smart chain becomes this big right now is because ethereum gas fee is very high and this force some projects to switch to BSC but what do you think will happen once ethereum gas fee goes lower in near few months? Will BSC faced same fate as binance DEX? Or BSC will remain the better option over ethereum?

currently ethereum and bsc have almost equal popularity, although their daily volume is different and more ethereum than bsc but eth and bsc have a smart chain that is used by many new projects nowadays so both will continue to dominate the marketcap in all markets. so even though ethereum transaction fees are higher than bsc but it doesn't have a big effect on ethereum users.

High transaction prices also affect Ethereum users, they just have nowhere to go. ETH has an advantage, since for a long time it was practically the only platform with smart contracts and the vast majority of projects were created and developed on the Ethereum blockchain. But this situation is gradually changing and DeFi's boom on the Binance Smart Chain shows it perfectly.

Another important reason why many companies rely on Ethereum is because it is large and decentralized. Such networks are difficult to attack. This is also the reason why many smaller platforms with potentially better smart contract functionalities than Ethereum are not preferred. Binance's smart chain is central. No serious company will run a production application there in the long run. Maybe for testing purposes, but not real apps for customers.
1068  Economy / Economics / Re: [LIST] Countries that own bitcoin on: September 22, 2021, 11:30:29 AM
The question is how to define "to own." Because basically, a lot of countries are in possession of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies through their respective law enforcement agencies through seizure. Even the USA. Most of the time, however, they are sold or auctioned off when they are obtained from illegal sources. But in a narrower sense, it means that they are at least temporary owners of these coins.

Maybe you should narrow down the question a bit. For example: Which countries own Bitcoin as government reserves?
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Staking Coins a Good Idea? on: September 22, 2021, 10:53:17 AM
Staking has some advantages and disadvantages, so everyone must decide for themselves whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

For example, staking is taxed differently than mining in many countries. Mining is a process in which I have to purchase hardware with which I then generate something (in this case crypto coins/tokens). Similar to a carpenter who buys wood to make furniture.
With staking, you buy digital assets to make money out of it, so it's more like lending money for which you get paid for. You give away some amount of your coins/tokens for a certain amount of time for a certain amount of interest.

Accordingly, you need to check which model is more interesting for tax purposes in your country.

1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto dip today on: September 22, 2021, 10:47:22 AM
There is nothing surprising that Bitcoin is decreasing less than other altcoins, as when Bitcoin starts negative trends and decreases by 10%, other tokens can decrease by 15% and more, as people are used to selling something more risky first and continuing holding Bitcoin. Actually, I don’t think that it is the start of a new bear market, there was no bad news.
Then there's a reason to believe that it's a bear market because there's no bad news, it just happened and until now the market has not recovered yet. Today alone, bitcoin has dump another 7% and it dump below $40k which is a worrying sign that it could go down further. When we say it's bearish, the downtrend is more dominant than the uptrend, so probably we would see that soon.

From a broader perspective, we are already in a bear market. We had the top at around 62k and dipped 39k last night. We have broken the low (42k) from a few weeks ago to the downside. A lower low than a recent low before, shows that we are already in a bear market, even if it is not as strong so far as many previous ones in the crypto market have been.

And that there is no bad news is not quite true either. The sell-off also had to do with the fact that stable coins are to be more heavily regulated. While this is not a bad development overall, it does pose a problem for some business models in the crypto sector.
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Germany have too many Bitcoin Nodes. on: September 20, 2021, 04:40:15 PM
Does anyone actually have an evaluation of whether these are Bitcoin full nodes only or whether the number also include lightening nodes?
I ask because recently a few German youtubers with a larger reach have called for setting up lightening nodes. The current numbers could therefore be the result of this.

1073  Economy / Economics / Re: vitalik's contribution is also great on: September 20, 2021, 04:27:51 PM
Without Ethereum building the blockchain that it has, and without the introduction to tokens, dapps, defis, nft and many other things that eth blockchain paved the way, crypto world would not be as big as it is right now.

To be fair, it must also be said that the features listed were not invented by Ethereum or Vitalik. These features existed in other projects before Ethereum existed. I remember Nxt, for example, where there were already colored coins and decentralized marketplaces in 2013/2014. Ethereum just made some things better and it became the largest holistic ecosystem in cryptospace.
1074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fidelity Makes Major Push to Launch Bitcoin ETF on: September 19, 2021, 06:15:57 PM
If Fidelity is able to get an ETF approved that would be absolutely huge for bitcoin and the cryptocurrency world/space.  I myself have been eagerly awaiting for an ETF to finally get approved.  On the other hand, I am a bit worried that this might continue to still take some time and even worse, regulation where not only do they not approve an ETF, but they start to "crack down" on crypto.  I fucking hate governments so much, moral of that story.

I think it will only have a big impact on the price and the market in general if the ETF is physical replicated then and not synthetic, so that Bitcoins are actually bought. Because otherwise it would hardly differ from the already existing ETN's (VanEck, cryptoShares etc) , of which there are already some and which have not really had an impact in the past.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs for physical assets - the future of NFTs?? on: September 19, 2021, 10:38:33 AM
The real problem is not NFT itself. I think most are sure that NFT (physical or non-physical) will remain an important part of the crypto ecosystem. The form may change. And NFT is also partly responsible for giving crypto an even broader public perception. But: every halfway finished project now seems to implement some NFT feature just to be hyped. There will be a big purge sooner or later and a lot of these projects will disappear. It's like the ICO hype at the end of 2017. Only a few survive and these platforms will help determine the future in the NFT space.
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 19, 2021, 10:26:21 AM
I somehow think that Wolfsburg vs. Frankfurt is the most interesting game this weekend. For both teams it would set a quite impressive trend in either one or the other direction. If Wolfsburg starts this season with five wins in a row I'd say that really nobody would have ever expected that. I am surprised already. And Frankfurt losing 4 out of five would be surprising as well. There is a lot on the line for Frankfurt and the pressure is onto them rather than on Wolfsburg.

I don’t think the match will be too interesting. Wolfsburg is in great form now. They occupy the first place in the points table. They are playing very well and the performance is stable. It doesn't look like Frankfurt will beat them. Frankfurt has yet to see a better performance this season. They have managed to score only 3 points in 4 matches. Has drawn 3 matches and lost one. I think Wolfsburg will be able to continue their winning streak.

Maybe not beast Wolfsburg, but Frankfurt should be good enough to steal a point from them. Wolfsburg is indeed stable, but they might also have had a somewhat lucky streak after all. I am not saying that they didn't deserve their position in the table so far, but we all know that winning four or five games in a row also involves a little bit of luck here and there. A close shot on target that didn't hit, cross bar here or post there for the opponent and so on. We'll see how it goes for them. Wink

The current diffence between this two teams is form. Wolfsburg is in an amazing form so far and is dominating hard, while Frankfurt is in terrible form they even bearly got a draw in europe against Fenerbahce. Wolfsburg will probobly attack to get all 3 points and still be unbeaten in the league.

If you mention the worse performance of Frankfurt in the Fernabace game in the EuroLeague, then you must also say that Wolfsburg also did not play well against OSC Lille in the Champions Leauge and was lucky not to lose. I think the game is open, even if Wolfsburg is favorite. Frankfurt must win otherwise they will have taken only 3 points from five games, which means a total false start to the season and the goal of reaching the ranks for European qualification will be far away.
1077  Economy / Economics / Re: vitalik's contribution is also great on: September 18, 2021, 09:57:42 AM
I feel that vitalik created blockchain 2.0, which should be regarded as a milestone in the currency circle. In the world of blockchain, his contribution is second  after Satoshi Nakamoto.

I wouldn't see it that way. Satoshi has created a truly new "product" (of course there was some preliminary work, but Satoshi has assembled many individual elements into something new that did not exist before and solved an essential problem), while Vitalik has improved this product with some new features.

It's kind of like saying Satoshi invented the car and Vitalik added electronic power steering and a navigation system. One would say the invention of the car itself was a much greater invention. And that's how I see it with Bitcoin and Ethereum. Nevertheless, Vitalik has made a huge contribution to entire crypto space.
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins as collectables in the future on: September 18, 2021, 09:49:52 AM
Your strategy is unlikely to work. Shitcoins would only get value if they are revived and get a larger number of supporters. But why would anyone do that in the future for seriousness? Of course, it is possible that one or two shitcoins will be revived for fun in the future, but it is so easy today to fork a project and hype it with a few new feature changes than to raise a dead shitcoin project from the dead.
I'm also not aware of any shitcoin that was hyped in 2017 and then crashed having gained any noteworthy success in 2020/2021.
1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 18, 2021, 09:37:57 AM
There are some risky bets that look terrifyingly good like Leicester @2.8 vs Brighton @2.6, Everton @3 vs Aston Villa @2.4, Wolves @1.8 vs Brentford @5.
Well those favourites teams might win of course but it worth taking the risk or playing double chance for lower rates?

Well, to lower the risk I would go for double chance. The odds are then less attractive, but in such games the chance is usually 33/33/33, so that virtually all three end results are equally likely. With double chance you can increase the probability of winning to 2/3 or about 70%.
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Would like to invest more than $20k. Which altcoin project? on: September 17, 2021, 01:19:43 PM
I am currently thinking about investing a larger amount > $20k which I have recently received through sales of some shitcoins that I don't think have much of a future ahead of them. I have already done some research myself. But for the final assessment I would like to hear your opinion. Which of these following projects do you see as a great investment and why?

  • Cardano (ADA)
  • Polkadot (DOT)
  • Avalanche(AVAX)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Cosmos (ATOM)
  • IOTA (MIOTA)

I have already severely limited the number of possible coins. The original list was around 30 coins, but after the research, the above six coins remained. Therefore please do not name others.
