It would be better to close this thread here. All arguments for and against opening a gambling business of the user have now been discussed in detail and nothing new is added. The discussion is just going around in circles. We can conclude that the user should not open a gambling business, because he lacks basic knowledge about this industry.

So Barca got rid of the Griezmann Time to pop open the champagne. Griezmann had not been a good fit for Barca. For Barca, his leaving is a blessing from a sporting and financial perspective. But he has moved to one of the league's fiercest rivals and if he returns to his old strength at Atletico, it will be less good for Barca. It would have been better if Griezmann would have moved to a non-La Liga club.

As expected 10-15% dip happened to almost all coins.Im surprised to see XRP 15% dip, btc only 10%. How far will it go down ? Well the sale was way too much. One or two whales have sold their Bitcoins after the thing with Ecuador and many followed paniclly. Is was also certainly because in the crypto area so much investements are leveraged and many were caught with their pants down and a margin call has set in. Now the money is flowing back again. Almost all coins have their value again from about a week ago.

One can understand individual measures of the government. For example, to allow young people playing video games for only 3 hours a week. China has a massive problem with gaming addiction among young people. The same applies to the ban on particular private learning providers. Many parents can not offer their children to attend such expensive courses and therefore there is an imbalance in terms of educational opportunities. You can see in the US what happens if you do not stop such developments early.
Other measures, however, are complete nonsense and rather ideological.

This weekend, the 2nd Bundesliga plays again. I cannot see any really top games this weekend. But there are still some interesting matches. Paderborn against Schalke, for example. Or Regensburg against Nürnberg. Although this game could already be a top game, as the first one plays against the fifth and Nürnberg could reach 12 points too.
If you will, Regensburg vs Nuremberg is not only a Bavarian derby but also the actual top match this weekend. It will be interesting to see if Regensburg can continue their winning streak after their first loss in their last game, or if their four wins in their first four games were just an exception. Paderborn vs. Schalke match will certainly be interesting as well. Paderborn is currently second and has had a very good start to the season. If they manage to win against Schalke, the little eurphoria at Schalke after the first win in the last match will quickly be gone again.

Am beginning to pick interest in gambling but I don't have any computer code knowledge but will love to operate a gambling site and will like to get some advice from the members of this forum, I have the capital to run the business until it starts making profits.
Do you have a license to operate a gambling business? If not, get one first. It will not be cheap, depending on the country the gambling business should be operated from. Furthermore, you do not need any programming skills. There are many providers who specialized creating slots and gambling tools you just need to buy and install. If you then still need some technical help you can hire someone, a freelancer for example. However, I don't recommend to run such a business if you need to ask here for help. You should at least calculate with $1mln+ as capital you need to be at leat a little competitive to all the big players out there.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El salvador a trail blazer for other developing countries

-El Salvador has just bought 200 new sets of bitcoins. -Making it their official medium of financial exchange - They now hold a total of 400 BTC. - I wish other countries would adopt this method of transaction. - They made sanctions on businesses that don't use chivo wallet and refuse to use BTC as a medium of financial transaction
El Salvadoar is certainly a testbed. Nevertheless, the country also has special conditions compared to other developing countries. This is because El Salvador had abolished its own currency many years ago and introduced the U.S. dollar. Since it was too strong for the economy in the past, another alternative had to be found. This alternative is now Bitcoin. It will be interesting to see how this experiment works and how the volatility will be affected. If this works well for the next 1-2 years, then I could imagine that other such countries will follow suit.

Could this be dampening or even killing the expected growth of the Chinese economy? Are they, after all, still communist enough?
What many in the Western world often do not know is that there used to be many political currents in the Chinese Communist Party (10-20 years back). One of the stronger currents was the rather "economic liberal" one, as far as one can say that about communists. The current was instrumental in China adopting many elements of capitalism in the late 1990s, which contributed to this enormous prospering development of the Chinese economy. But, in recent years, and especially with the election of Xi Jinping, another current has taken power, namely the old communist one, to which Jinping also belongs. Therefore, he has also had himself appointed as chairman for life, which would have been unthinkable just a few years ago, and it can be seen that this current is taking back more and more elements of the capitalist elements adopted in the late 1990s. How far these will go is difficult to say, but one sees now clearly what was already years in planning.

What are your thoughts ?
I think we are still far away from the peak. For one very simple reason: In order to have seen a peak, prices must first rise sharply again. At the moment, however, they are stabilizing at a high level, which can serve as a great platform for further highs. In addition, adaption and awareness continue to increase worldwide. We are currently seeing very good news for crypto almost every day. I would only worry if we really see a rapid increase in prices without fundamental reasons.

Bayern Munich has turned other teams in bundesliga into their academy, They buy any developed player from these clubs at cheaper price, where as teams from other leagues can't get these players if they must get the players, they will pay heavily for it Bundesliga is to me the most boring league to follow, no competition. I really wish teams like Leipzig, Lille or Dortmund can get stronger to compete with them. Lille is a French club in the Ligue 1, not the Bundesliga. You probably mean Leverkusen. I would not say it the most boring, but indeed it is has become a boring league over the last decade. Similar like many others in Europe where they are one or two top clubs and the rest is mid-class. However, this is the first season I see a more equalized competition since Bayern has not really increased their quality. I would even say, Bayern is not as strong as the years before. Dortmund has a great talented team. If they remain stable, then a surprise would certainly be possible.

Hello.. All. From the Past Few Hours BTC is Trending on Twitter on Technology Category. Any Good News from the BTC side or something else? It's very much because Bitcoin is introduced as an official payment option in Ecuador, so every business in Ecuador has to accept Bitcoin from now on. This has been discussed very intensively and controversially over the last weeks, and it could has been observed that the closer the official launch date comes, the more the discussion has increased. So, I think this is the reason why it is trending.

Economy / Economics / Re: Masters in Blockchain and Digital Currency
|
on: September 06, 2021, 06:23:21 PM

I'm now graduating from a BSC in Business Administration, and as I've mentioned in another thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5355827.0), I'm pretty clueless on how to continue from there, as I haven't decided what I like or can see myself doing in the future. I've stumbled upon a Master’s Degree, in Blockchain and Digital Currency. The knowledge you can get from those expensive university degrees, you can also get from a varity of online course which mostly are also offered by notably universities for a part of the money. Just look at MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) sites like coursera.org, edx.org or udacity.com. They all offer courses and certificates in the blockchain space. Some are even free. That's definitely true, I've used sites like Coursera and Edx.org before, however, the free version only provides you with the course's content. If you're willing to pursue a verified certification/degree, you'll have to pay an additional amount of money to receive it. Yes, you'll have all the contents of the course for free, but you'll be unable to display its completion on your CV. They are a great learning tool, though, I've enjoyed every course I've enrolled into. That is true, but the cost is far from that of a degree. If you want to have a certificate after you've completed the course you have to pay $50 to 150, depending on the course and provider. However, you have a big advantage over a degree. You decide if you pay afterwards not before. If you do a degree and fail, all your payments are gone. If you fail in a MOOC you have not lost anything, except time. I consider this a big advantage. By the way, some providers even offer so called nano-degress which cost more than a certificate course but are still much cheaper as regular degrees and you still have a certificate from a well-known university.

I invest in both. I always take a critical view of an either-or decision. Compared to crypto, of course, stocks are much less risky if you invest in the MSCI World or S&P, for example. Therefore, stocks should be used as a risk buffer. In the past, it has been shown that both assets often correlate, but crypto always swings down or up more than the stock markets.

The group matches are going to start with a really great one which is between Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Barcelona lost Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann both in the last transfer window. This is a huge loss of strength for them. And Bayern Munich are doing awesome like we always know. Lewandowski is in a great form that he scored 7 goals in 4 matches already. I expect Bayern Munich to demolish Barcelona in this match. I think that there is no way out for Barcelona here.
Barcelona is no match for Bayern at this point if we're talking about the squad quality. It looks like an easy win for Bayern because it actually is. Barcelona has become a shadow of its former self. Even with the combination of Luiz Suarez, Messi and Greizman, they were still a subpar team compared to Bayern and now that all 3 prolific players are at a different team, the story hasn't changed. The only way I see this going badly for Bayern is if they lose their guard and allow Barcelona to outperform them enough to get a point or more from that fixture. Would agree with you. Barcelona really had a drain of good players this year. The debt load of over 1 billion Euro is very overwhelming. If this doesn't improve, they will have to sell even more players. They are now focusing mainly on very young players like Pedri, Ansu Fati and Ilaix Moriba from Barca Academy. But at the moment, the quality of the squad is not enough to compete against teams like Bayern.

Arsenal are considering the possibility of signing Real sociedad player,Alexander Isak,in a potential future transfer to replace Alexander Lacazette, and Aubameyang. The swedish international is rated as one of the most complete young forward in Europe, and has netted 33 goals in 90 appearances for Real sociedad.
I've seen Alexander Isak live several times when he was playing for Dortmund, where he never managed to establish himself. In fact, he is a great talent who found his fortune in Spain after a stop in Tilburg. But I don't think he is made for English football. He is a relatively elegant and lanky striker who will have some problems with the rough English football, similar to the problems he used to have at Dortmund. He should stay in Spain.
