1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 28, 2021, 09:32:59 AM
This is the most sensational transfer this season. Ronaldo is adored by Man United fans worldwide...Ronaldo won 3 premier leagues with Man United. I'm disappointed that Manchester City gave up on signing Christiano Ronaldo. I read Sir Alex Ferguson convinced Christiano Ronaldo to come home to Man united. This power move was very unexpected and is going to give the team a big boost. His presence is enough inspiration for the players. He took Man utd to a different level in the past and will do so again. Wow the EPL just got intense

I wonder whether Ronaldo is really a reinforcement for Man United in terms of play. The president of Juve recently said that the Ronaldo signing was a mistake and that Juve has become worse as a result. He was referring primarily to last season. Ronaldo has certainly exceeded his performance peak. I think for Man United it's more about prestige and less about improving. In principle, the same as with Messi and PSG. The only good transfer would be Mbappe and Real Madrid.
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: August 28, 2021, 09:25:15 AM
Being a long time Hodler, I have been checking my Tezos Coins irregularly. So far I have always used TezBox. But unfortunately I had to realize that TezBox is no longer developed and it is not recommended to continue using the site/service. That's why I'm looking for a good alternative and hope you can recommend me one. The service should be web-based and secure, so without local installation. Furthermore I should be able to log in with my seed. Any recommendations?

Florentino Perez is an accomplished negotiator and he always has a way to smooth out his plans.

I don't understand why Perez is portrayed so positively and as a great negotiator. The guy just throws money around and has brought Real Madrid to a debt of almost 1 billion dollars (900 million euros) and now wants to spend another €180 million for Mpappe? It will not remain with the 180 million, if you include all the fees for players, consultants and others. A disaster in terms of financial policy. Anyone who celebrates something like this has lost touch with reality.
1145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers/Public will have Access to Quantum Computers in 5-10 years? on: August 26, 2021, 12:50:30 PM
Quantum computers can get anyone's private keys in fraction of a second.

This is a very common misconception. It is true that many of the encryption algorithms currently in use are quite vulnerable to quantum computing. But there are already some that are built in such a way that quantum computers cannot crack them. Research into this has increased enormously in recent years.
1146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ways to trade? on: August 26, 2021, 12:42:36 PM
Hi I am new to crypto and wonder what are some of the best technical indicators to use for trading?

There is no specific indicator for crypto. If you are familiar with stock trading, then you can basically use the same indicators as there. However, I wouldn't rely on technical indicators. Crypto is almost exclusively news-driven. In the long run, hodling good coins has proven to be the best option anyway.
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people buying NFT on: August 25, 2021, 09:10:52 AM
I just wonder why people buying NFT artworks like cryptopunks. I am not against NFT and I love it. I actually own some NFT games accounts like CB, Axie, Dpets because I am earning from it.. But for NFT artworks can you tell me what is the benefits. And why some of the people buying it?

The answer is the same as to the question why in the 17th century during the tulip mania was paid 100,000 of $ (converted in today's value) for tulip bulb.  Buyers were not interested in using or growing the tulip bulb, but in reselling it as soon as possible for an even higher price. The same is the case with all the useless NFT assets for which sometimes immense prices are paid and for which hardly anyone will have any use in the future.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: August 25, 2021, 09:05:43 AM
We are going to have a really awesome match in four days. It is Manchester City vs Arsenal. Arsenal manager Arteta is under big pressure as they lost all of their matches so far. If they lose this match also, probably he will be really near to get sacked. On the other hand, Manchester City made up for the loss against Tottenham. They erased Norwich 5-0. As they are in-form and the match is in Etihad, I give 0 chance for Arsenal to get even one point. I think that City will destroy them also.

I think the game is important not only for Arsenal (and its coach), but also for ManCity. If they lose the game, then they would already be a few points behind the other top clubs like Liverpool, Chealsea and ManU, should they win their games (what is to be expected). The competition in the Premier League is so tight that it will be hard to make up a 5-6 point gap after a few matchdays in the long run.
1149  Economy / Economics / Re: Why don't banks work with cryptocurrency? on: August 25, 2021, 09:02:16 AM
My instinct is telling me that some of the banks may partially be working with cryptocurrency, they might not bring it to the table for everyone to see but some might be trading anonymously.

I have the feeling that they are in but since they know is risky, they wouldn't disclose it to the public especially when they know that central banks will harm their reputation.
Sometime before the ban of bitcoin in my country, some bank workers were expelled for risking and using customers money to buy bitcoin and after the last collapse, they couldn't balance sheet the money they took for investment.

No, it is well-known that many banks are interested in Bitcoin and crypto currencies in general. This was confirmed by various studies

Although many banks tend to be conservative and have viewed crypto with skepticism, they are increasingly driven by their own customers to offer crypto products. That's one reason. The other reason why many are still reluctant is the regulatory gap. Banks need secure legal foundations. These are not yet so elaborated and implemented in all areas that many banks cannot invest in crypto at all, even if they want to.

1151  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: So, i bought a BTC atm on: August 24, 2021, 11:39:36 AM
Oh no, i think you misunderstood  Grin
i didnt bought a BTC atm (as in ''at the moment'')
i bought the machine, a real ATM. ( see picute below )

-snip-

Haha, this was my first thought, too. Why the hell is he telling us he bought some Bitcoins. Thousands and thousands people do that. Noting worth to mention. My next thought then was, or maybe he means an ATM machine? But no one can be that crazy!

So what are your plans with this device? That is in my opinion the much more exciting question  Cheesy
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: August 24, 2021, 11:35:53 AM
Poor Leicester got a huge defeat against West Ham last night.

Leichester blocked every chance of taking a point in the game very early yesterday. First the early conceded goal in the 26th minute and then the deserved red card in the 40th minute. The game was actually over for Leichester until half time. West Ham played that well in the second half, but you could see the difference on having a man more on the field for over 50 minutes.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know is time to walk? on: August 23, 2021, 12:16:18 PM
Knowing when to hold'em, knowing when to foldèm are usually part of your ability, training and experience when playing poker or other games that have some math to it, my question for the forum is how do you know it is the time "to walk away" and I also hope that you never get to the point that you need to know "when to run".

Mathematics and psychology. Preferably in good combination.

The principle of poker is, on the one hand, to be able to read the behavior of the other players, and on the other hand, to be able to calculate very quickly the probability of winning a hand with all the information I have. On the basis of these two factors, depending on the game situation, it is then necessary to weigh up whether to hold or fold.
1154  Economy / Economics / Re: Philanthropy as a paradox for the uber-rich on: August 23, 2021, 12:12:27 PM
While Microsoft does not have a particular fame for mistreating employees, most of the large companies, to some extent, are benefiting from market monopolies, questionable tax exemptions and in some cases questionable Human Resources practices. Does it make sense to you to first "take" from society by paying little tax and then doing philanthropy to "give back"? Sound to me quite cynic.

I think the real question is: What is better, that a few rich people who have come to prosperity through ideas and entrepreneurship have the money and give this with foundations to charitable purposes or whether the state skims the money, e.g. through higher taxes, and distributes it according to its own ideas? I think both come out the same. It is a mistake that the state always makes the better decisions than private persons concerning charity and distribution.
1155  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: [Diskussion/News] epochtalk - neue Boardsoftware on: August 23, 2021, 12:06:15 PM

1157  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [Diskussion] - [WAVES]. Ultimative Crypto-Token Blockchain Plattform. on: August 22, 2021, 11:17:07 AM

1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 22, 2021, 11:02:48 AM
Do you foresee any Impact on crypto gambling?

Interesting news. Around 1,5 months ago, I started a thread about why Twitch secretly ended crypto payments. I don't know if there's a connection, but it seems like Twitch is being a lot more restrictive now. The funny thing about this news is that gambling streams are not banned but only the sharing of links to gambling sites. There are still a lot of streams where people run slots or play poker.
1159  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: [Diskussion/News] epochtalk - neue Boardsoftware on: August 22, 2021, 10:59:22 AM

1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 21, 2021, 03:40:40 PM

You can see in the picture above, that Ragensburg won perfectly because they faced very weak teams, even though Ragensburg was actually a weak team Cheesy

Schalke Has a Different Level from Darmstadt, SV Sandhausen & Holstein Kiel. I am very sure, we will see Schalke's first win in 2.Bundesliga today Cool

Actually We Have Our Own Topic For 2.Bundesliga, You Can Visit It Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5349289.0

Thanks for pointing me to this thread. Did not know there is a particular one for the 2nd Bundesliga.

Well, Schalke lost 1-4 against Regensburg. I watched the match live on TV. Schalke never had a real chance at any time of the match. It happened what I assumed. Schalke could really get into dangerous waters now.
