161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be cautious when copying wallet addresses on: April 07, 2024, 10:42:51 AM
and the good thing is you can review the transaction you made from outside or from any online device if it's your address or if it was a different address right away you can cancel the transaction.
Yes, but one must doube check the address before signing the transaction with the offline device, one cannot just "cancel" the transaction after it has been broadcasted. "Cancelling" means replacing the transaction with another one, if it is RBF'ed, which is called double spending, and then pay a higher fee in the new transaction, but it might be too late and the initial transaction could have already been confirmed.
This is not the solution to your problem. You need to devote more time to the security of your equipment by using antivirus programs. But in any case, your care when sending a transaction will be indispensable if you carefully check the correctness of the address for sending coins.
Antivirus programs are good, but it is not a complete solution to the problem, some of them even steal people's data. Offline storage is a great solution and then attentiveness to double check output addresses.
162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be cautious when copying wallet addresses on: April 06, 2024, 08:32:52 PM
I would suggest using a phone or system you don't usually use to browse the web to hold your coins or better still an Hardware wallet.
A phone you don't usually use to browse the internet sounds like a device that is connected to the internet sometimes, but not all the time. Mind you that such a device is not airgapped and it it is not safe for your coins, an offline set up has to be completely offline. In your case you were attacked by a clipboard malware, you can avoid that if you use your online device very well and also double check the address you want to send Bitcoin to.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A few crypto questions. on: April 06, 2024, 04:58:00 PM
And for the altcoins, after buying altcoins, what happens if no one wants to buy them from you? You know a lot of altcoins aren't all that popular so how do people even sell off their altcoins? Can you even hodl altcoins?
This thing can only happen with altcoins, many of them become worthless after sometime and you cannot sell them to anyone, in that case you become a bagholder, this is the reason why it is advisable to hodl altcoins only for the short term. Having said that, another way to avoid this is that you should stay away from new altcoins and buy established coins that have been around for a longer time, newer projects are quicker to fail, thus there is definitely more risk when you buy them.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 05, 2024, 08:41:31 PM
I think Arsenal on the contrary now is the time to become consistent outside the EPL, they are strong enough and hold serious competition in their home league, which can't be said for Bayern. Maybe Arsenal will take advantage of Bayern's position and still be able to go further in the 1/2 of the tournament
If Arsenal is going to beat Bayern Munich and take revenge for all the beatings they have received in the hands of the German champions, then the time is now, they might never get a better chance to beat Bayern Munich. Tuchel's men are really struggling and now their only chance of lifting a trophy is the CL, but they are faced with a huge test in Arsenal.

If Arsenal are to progress to the next round, then they have to beat Bayern at the Emirates. Bayern Munich might not be in form, but beating them in the Allianz Arena is a tough proposition, thus Arsenal need to take the initiative and win in the first leg, so they can at least carry a win into the second leg in Germany.
165  Economy / Reputation / Re: Solana SSHIB project ignores payment to Bounty Campaign participants (scam) on: April 05, 2024, 05:23:07 PM
OP, making multiple posts in a row in not allowed in the forum, merge what you want to say in one post. You do not have to reply to each user in a new post.
We love and appreciate our bounty members - those who have been with us for a long time know this very well - we personally understand that this thread may not move them (https://solshib.space/) from their place - but it will become easier for us at least from the fact that we stood up for our participants and raised this topic for many.
Good a thing that you know this thread wouldn't yield anything towards getting the participants paid. Projects like these do not care about their reputation, and they may prolly not get listed anywhere, so it is useless from the get-go. Bounty participants know this, but they hope to get the lucky one that pays them, so no need "standing up" for them.
166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run again, huh on: April 05, 2024, 06:21:02 AM
What is a realistic expectation from the bull run, given  the last one in March 2021, Bitcoin hit  $61,000 and fell down to 31k about two couple of months later... It rose later on, amazingly though. But is this price fall normal in the bull run?? What is a helpful tip here.
What quite a lot of people have been predicting as the highest expectation for this bull run is for Bitcoin price to rise to $100,000, but mind you that nobody can be sure of what is going to happen with Bitcoin's price, it is unpredictable, thus you have to DYOR. Having said that, there is always going to be a correction in price and also a fall back into the bear market, because Bitcoin rises and falls in cycles, but the events of this period is different from that of the past, so you might get things very wrong if you want to use the past to exactly predict this current period.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 04, 2024, 10:40:15 PM
They still have eight more games to go for the title, which is a difficult process with City and Arsenal right behind them.
True it is difficult, but Liverpool have the advantage, it is in their hands; if they will all of their remaining EPL games, they would be Premier league champions, of course City are Arsenal are going to keep on breathing down their necks, but they would need other teams to do the job for them. All the remaining fixtures for Liverpool are games that they can win, so there is a very high chance that they are not going to drop points again. It would be an unbelievable farewell from the players to Klopp, if they are to win the league.
168  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Becareful with telegram wallet! on: April 04, 2024, 08:14:26 PM
I don't know how the Telegram wallet works and i don't care to know because it is not an option for me to store any coins. Telegram is one platform with so much cases of scam and fraud, and that alone is enough reason not to use it to keep any of your money. Even if you want to store shitcoins, there are better wallets to use, wallets that are non-custodial and open source like Unstoppable wallet, then there are others like trust wallet that are not open source, but a better option for shitcoins than telegram wallet.
169  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle emotions when you lose during trading. on: April 04, 2024, 04:47:14 PM
This thing has been discussed exhaustively in the forum, the talk of trading and how to control ones emotions when trading, i am not a day trader, but i think a trader with the right skills and knowledge, who knows the risk involved in trading would know how to combine trading and other life activities, and also know when to stop. The thing is, trading is quite risky, that is why newbies are advised to stay away from trading, whilst the mistake the more experienced traders make is to think they can make profits everytime, or to keep on chasing profit even when they are losing.
170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What makes a post to be quality? on: April 04, 2024, 04:08:58 PM
What makes a post to be quality? Good English language or the content of the post?.
And if good English, well written in good sentences defines a post to be quality is it that Non English speakers are not qualify to be in this forum or to discuss in general boards because they are only good in speaking broken English which is a borrowed language.
There are quite a lot of non-native English speakers in the forum who are quality posters, mind you that your English does not have to be impeccable, it just has to be decent enough for other users to understand what you are saying. There are a lot of non-native English speakers who have also said that communicating in the forum has helped to improve their English, so it is for a fact that if you communicate with others here, overtime, your English will get better.

Quality post is somewhat subjective, but i think if you firmly understand the subject of discussion and you are able to contribute to it, you are making good posts. It is all about garnering knowledge, either through reading the posts of other users, or from external sources, and if you do not understand a thing about a subject being discussed, do not post, but read. Do this, and you will subsequently make good posts in the forum.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 03, 2024, 09:49:13 PM
City were class today, it was an excellent display and they deserved to score all those goals and get the win, i said it before the game that City suffered in the hands of Aston Villa in the first leg, they were completely outplayed and lost, they came into this second leg with a mission and accomplished it. City outplayed and outclassed Unai Emery's men today and they were indeed worthy winners.

City know that the title is no longer in their hands, and all they have to do is keep on winning their games and see what happens, next up for them is Crystal Palace, and it is definitely going to be another three points, before they travel to Spain to face Real Madrid in the CL. It is such a busy schedule for the treble winners, but that is because they are competitive and alive in three competitions.
172  Economy / Economics / Re: Irresponsible spenders consumes their retirement resources and losses values. on: April 03, 2024, 04:48:23 PM
I don't even know if this story is true, it sounds quite like a silly story, why are you intruding into the privacy of others and making claims you are not even sure of. I am not saying that people should be irresponsible in their spending, but you cannot judge a man based on the story you just told us, savings and investments are very important in protecting wealth and money, but one should also take their time to have fun and enjoy their lives, you cannot save everything.
173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seed phrase backup against natural disaster areas on: April 03, 2024, 04:29:31 PM
In the event of a natural disaster, i am pretty sure one will be more concerned about preserving their life than their backups, having said that, there are methods that are more secure and offer a better protection against natural disasters. One can back up their seed phrase on stainless steel or make plenty backups and keep them in different places. The thing is, none of these is certain to protect you from a natural disaster and you could still lose your money, but it will give you more protection than paper backup.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 03, 2024, 11:34:52 AM
City v Aston Villa is going to be really interesting tonight, particularly because of how the first leg panned out, City lost 1-0, but it was by far their worst game of the season thus far, they were completely outplayed by Aston Villa and were very lucky to come out with just a one goal deficit. City players will definitely have that first leg game on their minds tonight and it could be extra motivation.

City must win tonight if they are to have any chance of catching up with Liverpool and Arsenal, i think if City fails to win tonight, it is over for them in the league. Having said that, Aston Villa also have ambitions of their own, and that is to make it to the CL next season, and so it is going to be really entertaining and City only have the edge because the game is at the Etihad.
175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful where you connect your wallet on: April 02, 2024, 10:18:19 PM
This person isn't totally gone, he will be back, where else will he be able to recover what he has lost? There is nothing compared to crypto when it comes to making money, it's the best place to get back up on your feet unless you don't know what you are doing.
Does it really work that way, AFAIK, the industry is not a money making scheme and people do not just make money through crypto. The person would either have to use their money to buy coins and hodl, or buy coins and trade, the other option is if they have a skill they can offer and get paid in crypto. Sometimes the way people sound is misleading and it can make others get the wrong picture about the industry. If this person has lost all their money and does not have a skill to offer, then how can he make money directly from crypto.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unbacked stable coins are a big danger on: April 02, 2024, 10:04:56 PM
Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies whose market value is tied up to another currency or to external references. They are more useful  than being more volatile cryptocurrencies as means of exchange
It is not so clear what you want to say here, but stablecoins might be "stable", but they can be depegged at anytime. Stablecoins is no doubt useful in the cryptocurrency industry, particularly for traders, but because of the risk they pose, risk such as centralization and the ability to freeze people's funds, it is not advisable to hodl stablecoins for too long.
It aims at providing and offering a choice to high volatility of most popular cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin.
Stablecoins is not an alternative to Bitcoin, they are very different types of crypto, to name one example, Bitcoin is decentralized, whilst stablecoins are centralized.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unbacked stable coins are a big danger on: April 01, 2024, 09:08:27 PM
For our coins to be safe, we need to avoid unbacked stable coins because of risk.
No stablecoin issuer is going to tell you that their stablecoin is not backed by what they say it is backed by. So there is risk with every stablecoin, because you cannot verify if they are truly backed 1:1 or they just print so many of them anytime they want to, pegged to nothing but thin air. Mind you as well that stablecoins can be frozen by the issuers anytime, in any wallet, these are the reasons why stablecoins should not be held for the long term.
178  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What makes cost of living still high in Nigeria when dollars loose value. on: April 01, 2024, 05:08:30 PM
Do you think government don't know why price of things are not yet come down in the country, just wait for the dollar price to drop to #500 if the price of goods and services will not come down without government action
Naira to dollar price no even need to fall to N500 before the price of goods and cost of living go begin drop, e no even dey possible for $1 to be N500 right now. Wetin we just need now na stability of the Naira at a certain price, even if na $1= N1000, the problem wey traders dey get na instability of the Naira and bad government policies wey no dey help our currency, for example if you look at the way the Naira take gain strength against the dollar recently, you go know say na temporary thing and e no go take long before the Naira go begin lose value again.
179  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What makes cost of living still high in Nigeria when dollars loose value. on: March 31, 2024, 02:09:17 PM
Brainboss dey correct for wetin him talk, we know say Naira don dey appreciate in price against the dollar, but we also know say the thing no happen organically, manipulation and threats na wetin our government use and thus e no look like something wey dey sustainable. Traders no go one take risks as the Naira fit begin fall again at anytime. Having said that, if the Naira dey stable at this low price for sometime, then prices of goods go begin drop, but until then, things go continue like this.
180  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is bit-blaze.com SCAM on: March 31, 2024, 12:48:18 PM
they asking for more verification which require a deposit of 100$ minimum
Just as we all thought, that exchange is a scam and any deposit you send there is lost for good. As a matter of fact, the more you deposit funds there, they would keep coming up with more excuses and asking you to make more deposits.
i tried to send the 700$ back to the sender but still showing an error message
the problem is that i cant send back the money to the sender
i asked the support to send the sender back his money but they didnt respond
https://prnt.sc/Pux5WDc2Pevb
There is no way you can do that, there is actually no money there to be sent. Don't you get it, this is a scam.
Coyster he added me on discord i just want to give him back his money and end this issue
I think the buyer and the exchange are all in this together, if i were you i'd block that person and forget about all this. Do not let that person pressure you into making a deposit into a scam exchange.
