In crypto some of the best trading bots created have a tough time yielding a higher ROI than people who have just held. This is why hodling is such a popular strategy.
Secondly scalping is not the best trading strategy in these markets, I have heard this time and time again from advanced traders who also say they won't trade any chart shorter than the 4hr.
So just because you have made a couple gains scalping the 5 min chart based on a couple indicators doesn't mean you should jump on bctalk and advise other people to do the same.
I see so many newbs these days crying about how hodling is stupid just because they are holding bags and are impatient.

What i don't get it is why so many bots win the lottery? I mean is not like they have 1 million tickets each.
It is the total tickets that matter, not how many each bot has. It was a network of 30,000 bots with ~25,000 tickets each, giving 750,000,000 or about 65% of the tickets. That made winning 6 out of 10 the expected statistical result. You'll notice that the total number of tickets is much lower this week as we have found a way to stop them. Sheezuz, 30k bots? How the hell does that even happen? There is no way that is a 1 person job, some group of people are going to a ridiculous extent to try and cheat your site. |

I believe that it is quite a promising coin it is in the top thousand of all coins. But I do not like one thing - this is what they want to become famous under the name of bitcoin, as they have a very similar name with him.

How does this scam work? At 1st glance the rules are rather tricky...
Scammers buy premined/instamined coins to purchase "power" to upvote articles about their projects and downvote the articles of their competitors.
Right?
Fresh account named SCAMcoinTalk and all your post are being critical of altcoins but you do seem to have some knowledge about circumstances relating to the history of certain coins. But I think this is just a troll account made to just go around spreading fud, probably a BTC maximalist. |

Yes, I would be prepared to call 95% of altcoins vaporware - getting back to the price, there do not seem to be enough Factom hodlers who believe in it to support it's price at a reasonable level - I actually bought Factom at around the $2 range so I am not a here today gone tomorrow cry baby, however I do not want to hold onto a coin that does not seem to have much grass roots support. Grass roots support?! Did you not click on any of the links I gave you? Do you even follow the reddit and what the ANOs are doing?  |

I heard that Komodo's speed of translation is faster than VISA. Is it true? If so, why is the project's token in such a sorry state?
Entire market is in a sorry state, and I think that those numbers of transactions was in a tested state right? If someone can correct me? Like it was a tested spam attack on the network but it didn show like 40k tps or something? I think a lot of coins have a huge tps throughput, but all don't offer what komodo does with privacy and smart contracts. Def some upside here with komodo vs other smart token platforms. Any update on the supposed rebrand later this year? |

Is there any chance to updates a few information in the OP post, like adding some discord channel link or anything. I'm aware the official LBRY announcements pages is ongoing progress (or plan?), but updating a few pieces of information would be nice.

Bitcoin was released in 2009, Litecoin in 2011. It took the IRS 7 years to finally say "Oh ya and those other currencies you have been trading to and from, those are taxable events too".
I don't see how they are going to enforce it though, so many exchanges have gone under, so many records lost.....then people could just claim they got hacked or something.

Yes, short term and long term capital gains are applicable to crypto. But if you moved your crypto or traded it into another crypto that will determine if it's short or long term.
The IRS has made it extremely difficult if not impossible for most crypto traders in the US to declare responsibly and honestly.
If you just bought bitcoin and held it in the same place and never traded it then you are in good shape and it shouldn't be very hard but if you moved it or traded it for other altcoins then your situation becomes very difficult.
The overall consensus seems to be that you should pay your taxes on what you sell into Fiat.

Wow, what a surprise, the bounty ANN moderation stops and the redundant/pointless spam posting by newbie accounts stops. I couldn't even follow this thread anymore because of how out of control that got. If there are members from the team in here why did you guys allow that campaign? What was the point? Seemed like such a waste of a bounty, was it to keep bumping the thread to get views or something? The volume of CLO has really dropped off but I think there is strong support around 100sats, during the last btc dip thats where the price bounced for CLO. In can someone please show us where to get an updated roadmap for this coin (whitepaper if available but i really don't care about that at this point).
also, is CLO pushing for exchange adds? lol this coin is nothing but dead since launch as it has the usual pnd, just like ETC pumped once this was hype and then etc dumped to shit too LOL. so much useless shit if nothing gets done. so let's see some results.

Tezos was finally launched....
That is all I can think of, any altcoin that launched this year is struggling because of how low the price of BTC/ETH have gone, I would be afraid to buy any coin that launched and ran an ICO in 2018.

I don't think vericoin and blackcoin will EVER eclipse their all time highs in bitcoin price, maybe stratis will follow suit? It's crazy how parabolic some coins go and then just have these small mini pumps that just fizzle out over and over... I lean towards believing stratis will bounce back, I guess it doesn't compare to those PoS coins that rolled out in 2014 |
