1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Phore - Masternodes - Marketplace on: December 11, 2017, 04:51:02 PM
From my experience masternode coins that have a high percentage of coins locked up seem to hold their value against bitcoin better than coins that don't. Yes Phore is a masternode coin
that is providing a developer angle that is unique and different then others but from what I have seen is that younger masternode coins are way more volatile then
the much longer standing masternode coins, so much of the success of masternode coins depends on a strong community of holders.

Phore could be a good investment down the road but expect wild price swings, coins like dash, dmd, ion, bsd ect ect will hold value better. just my opinion, good luck
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: December 10, 2017, 10:57:36 PM
Quote from the ceo on a reddit post a day ago:

"All in all, we designed a system that can be used in a dozen different ways by hundreds of use cases. What is going to drive the value of the protocol is getting these use cases deployed to the real world."

Check out the rest of his post here
https://www.reddit.com/r/factom/comments/7iloy5/ec_usage_expectations/dqzzskw/?st=jazoxq55&sh=450f5a49

The community seems to be more active on reddit, people communicate with the CEO regularly there.
1123  Economy / Gambling / Re: seasoned poker players on: December 10, 2017, 10:40:30 PM
Nitrogen is an option, but ignition and americas card room also accepts bitcoin.

But it depends on if you want to keep your bitcoin as bitcoin...if you deposit on ignition and americas card room they convert it to USD. On nitrogen they dont, but the trade off is that nitrogen is low volume and has hardly any good mtt's (their structures are not good either, no antes!).

So it will just come down to whether or not you want to hold on to your bitcoin in case it goes up and if you want to play cash game or mtt. good luck man win all the btc!
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] leonArdo - Bitcoin Trading Bot for Poloniex, Bittrex, Bitstamp, Bitfinex.. on: December 10, 2017, 10:33:34 PM
I really like this bot and i have made my money back and then some. But I have struggled to keep the bot running consistently, mainly because my ping pongs always break out of the range ive got setup.

Have you guys found the margin maker to be a better setup then the ping pong?

Also is there a way to get some indicators loaded? I am interested in setting up a bot based off indicators.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: December 10, 2017, 10:26:36 PM
Investing in these coins is really risky because you put all your bitcoin in their hands and hope they deliver on their promised returns. There are other ways to make passive income in crypto while taking far less risk.

Staking coins and masternode coins are held in your wallet on your computer in various ways and is always in your control and in your hands, as long as you keep your wallet up and running you will make passive income supporting the network of the coin.

You can make money with bitconnect sure, but you will thank yourself later in the game for taking on the learning curve of investing in stake coins or setting up masternodes. Good luck
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RED SUNDAY - cryptocurrencies dropping like bricks on: December 10, 2017, 08:34:54 AM
I believe it because altcoins market is very tightly correlated to Bitcoin prices, the only way for altcoins to go up is for Bitcoin to stay stagnant or it has a slow uptrend/downtrend movements. Well, we can force to stop people taking a profit. The good thing is today kinda like black Friday for Altcoins. This is the best time to start accumulating more altcoins.

I agree with this, it seems like anytime bitcoin goes sideways alts start to pump, as if bitcoin holders get bored and just decide to buy their favorite alt. On the other hand i used to think when btc goes down alts pump, not so much anymore.
1127  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining on: December 09, 2017, 11:07:08 PM
I think that genesis is reputable and not that huge of a risk, the only thing is you could take the money you put down to invest in a contract and just buy bitcoin or a different altcoin and possibly make even better roi on your money.

Not all cloud mining mechanism are the same, diamond for example uses a cloud mining program to add liquidity to the order books of the coin.

I did notice that the latest genesis mining zcash contracts were very profitable and sold out fast. Good luck
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: December 09, 2017, 01:48:59 AM
its fun how they treat their investors, no marketing, no software update , nothing, just fucking idiotic "Merry Christmast" on facebook lol .. they are retarded or what ? looking on Factom CEO P. Snow face it might be true that he has DOWN Syndrome.

Wow, relax and think about how mean that statement was. You're better than that.

Factom is a company that has received grants from department of homeland security to build a product/piece of software for them, so factom has to be reserved and somewhat secretive about what they are doing. It's the government...they do everything in secrecy.

1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ∞ Goodomy ("GOOD") ∞ Social Blockchain Launching Soon ∞ UPDATED OP ∞ on: December 08, 2017, 10:50:57 PM
what are REMI and FITE?

My apologies for being vague, but REMI is the core process behind Shopomy that will have a direct benefit on Goodomy, while FITE is REMI's core component. (If REMI is a wheel, FITE is the spoke.) Although I can't give much detail at this time (until we hit phase 2 in the first quarter of next year) I will say that any first-mover in this space might very well become the number one cryptocurrency within a few years. It's a $30+ trillion USD market, and a first-mover advantage helps tremendously.

I think of Goodomy like IBM when Watson was hired. He re-focused the company (then known as CTR) on sales and customer service. Like Goodomy, he stressed the importance of the customer rather than putting the technology first and foremost. Your customers will tell you what technology to develop, rather than you telling your customers what they should want (the current state of cryptocurrency). Our "international business machines" will, instead, reside in the blockchain, in REMI.

IBM dominated the industry for decades with this methodology.

The mix of REMI plus ICR+ events* will allow us to dominate an entirely new industry, far bigger than the ICO industry. ICOs are cool, but flawed. ICRs are the next generation. Both ICOs and ICRs are merely events for an overarching process, not processes themselves. But of course people won't really understand ICRs for a while, just like when I introduced the ICO to the world a few years ago. They'll need to see the benefits, and Goodomy will be the first to benefit. They both breathe life into process that can be seen as organic, but do you want the organism to breathe once (like an ICO) or breathe continuously (like an ICR)?

Also, it is important to stress that we are going after one of the largest markets in the entire world: the local consumer market. We're also doing it in a dead-simple way that doesn't require PhDs or lots of capital. It is an idea that may very well change how people shop. This is something that fashionistas in New York and mothers in Nairobi will both want to make good use of. It is something that pretty much anyone who buys something will want to use. And it's a $30,000,000,000,000-dollar market, a pre-existing market that is 100x bigger than cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency will definitely be worth trillions as an industry, and the consumer market will be one of those factors in making it happen. If we lead the consumer market for crypto, we'll probably be in the top 5.

We've only just begun!

*ICRs are like ICOs on steroids. It would be like a token having multiple ICOs. Our methodology will also solve the chicken-and-egg problem and 'pre-populate' the network with active participants (a benefit of ICOs). But we will actually do something I call ICR+. The "+" is important for Goodomy and will really propel Goodomy to interstellar space, I think.

Thanks for the detailed and quick response, so REMI will be the core process behind Shopomy the app but will have a direct benefit to goodomy. So will it be something that users and customers actually use or is it like a model that can determine market trends in a local setting to help the app reach it's target market?

I understand if you can't say much else on the topic, I am just trying to better understand the aim of Goodomy.

Also what about social media? I cant find any links. Thanks
1130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: where do you get your predictions? on: December 08, 2017, 09:23:32 PM
I have seen people who were supposed "TA" experts come in the crypto markets and make bad calls over and over.
Maybe they werent the best at TA? I don't know but I agree with several others in this thread that TA is really
just an educated guess on where the market will go.

Just like in poker you want to put your opponent on a range of hands rather than one hand. Try to forcast a
range for the price insteadt of a single price. Be flexible on your exits and set stop losses. Dont get too emotionally attached to a position.

Learn some basic indicators and experiment with trade bots like leonardo or gunbot, good luck!
1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperStake | Generous Reward Staking | Advanced Staking Controls & Wallet on: December 08, 2017, 04:49:57 PM
I have some friends who are just now getting into crypto and i want them to experiment with a staking coin but like commented above the barrier to entry to really get the full staking effect is high.

I really like the discussions going on in discord right now though, with voting coming soon i look forward to voting on the future of hyp.

If you are new to this thread go to the discord and check it out
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SBTC]Super Bitcoin:Bitcoin Fork|Smart Contracts|8MB Blocks|Privacy|Scalabi on: December 08, 2017, 04:46:02 PM
So its a fork that will share the transaction history of bitcoin, but somehow there will be an airdrop? how is this possible?

Wouldn't every btc address be entitled to the equivalent amount of btc that they own?

Best of luck
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO - DICUSSION THREAD on: December 08, 2017, 05:03:33 AM
LBC is an perfect open decentralized trading platform for the trade in digital information products, such as films, video lessons, video streams with an open affiliate program. Longterm. Potential for growth of 500% + during the 2018 year.

I agree with this, also remember that LBC has VC funding and consistent developement. But at the moment its going to follow the general alt market trend ya know? Where it just tanks relative to a btc pump regardless of tech or updates.

I imagine it will probably pump again, just like it did in the spring along with a huge list of other altcoins......altcoin prices relative to bitcoin are just getting slaughtered right now.
1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperStake | Generous Reward Staking | Advanced Staking Controls & Wallet on: December 08, 2017, 04:59:54 AM
It would be so sweet to get listed back on bittrex, i like cryptopia and all but the only reason i ever get on there is to trade hyp and no other coin.

Any word on this?
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperStake | Generous Reward Staking | Advanced Staking Controls & Wallet on: December 08, 2017, 04:55:40 AM
So I want to get back into HYP because I enjoyed just getting the staking notifications. I went to download the wallet and it says that there is a virus in it.  Is that just my computer being wonky?

Yes it's a false positive, the developer is working on the windows version to fix this in the future. Nothing to worry about.

But if you want to be on the safe side you can download a previous version.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: December 08, 2017, 04:52:58 AM
I think that the NDA stuff makes a lot of sense, why would the DHS (department of homeland security) want to work with a company that is going to flaunt and hype that they are working with the DHS? Its the government they are all about secrecy!

So while the btc price continues to drop because people in crypto are all about hype, the factom team is in the background probably trying to scale and build a service/software for a gov agency.
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: December 07, 2017, 10:06:45 PM
Again DMD seems to be resistant to bitcoin spikes, while sooo many other alts dump 20+% dmd actually gains value on days like these.

This has been the case over and over again all year, when bitcoin goes up, DMD stays constant..50% of the entire supply locked in masternodes provides such a strong backbone for the price.
Its obvious you have no conception of crypto,
You are under 100000 satoshi while bitcoin races to the moon..
You do realize you can't turn diamonds into cash in your pocket..
While you all stare at the dollar value, which is just stupid.
Diamonds are nothing without bitcoin.
If you were .1 of a bitcoin 10 million satoshi
You could clap like a seal.
You obviously don't know what a satoshi is..
Altcoins to bitcoin to dollars..
Thats how it works..
If you think there is 40 million in capital you need a couch and
A shrink..

I don't even have to say anything because all the post above already covered everything that was wrong with your comment. Just go away you're trolling is pointless.

1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ∞ Goodomy ("GOOD") Launching Soon! ∞ on: November 30, 2017, 04:58:11 AM
I'm happy to announce that we will be releasing the first public beta within a week or so. As mentioned before, this beta will not have a few integral features just yet but will show how we will begin to approach the market that we're going after. It will be downloadable as an APK from the website and will have basic features such as account login, registration, product listings, and more.

Once phase 2 is completed it will be available on Google Play and (likely) on the iTunes store. I am anticipating phase 2 completion by late January or early February (due to holidays).

If anyone is interested, I can put up some screens tomorrow to give you an idea of how it will look. These will be older screens without the latest features and design changes.

Thanks for your patience!

(Also: The next few days is probably the absolute last chance to pick up extremely cheap tokens. Now that everyone has had enough time to pick up cheap tokens over the past few months while I've been working on designs, patents, etc., we aren't just going to the moon... we're off to interstellar space! I really hope members of the Karmacoin community have picked up their tokens, as they're the reason I started this project and have been offering everyone very, very cheap coins for the past few months. But that time is over and now we are ready for lift-off. Like I said, my goal with Goodomy is to beat Bitcoin's returns and of course make a great product for the average consumer while providing awesome value to token holders. We are definitely on our way!)

Cool, interesting stuff! I am interested to see the screeenshots, i held some karma back in the day. What is an APK?
