561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RIPIO CREDIT NETWORK [RCN] Token Sale Opens on 17th of October! on: April 18, 2018, 03:17:38 PM
CEO has been speaking at lending events recently and some are saying they will launch this month, I am not exactly sure what the ICO price was, maybe its still a little bit above but the chart looks good on this one especially with updates coming..

I say good buy for a target exit around 2200-2400 sats (hopefully)

Tim Draper backs this one so could be good long term, but I would set a tight stop and watch bitcoin price. good luck
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] IAGON⚡️ AI-Based Decentralized Cloud Systems⚡️ Dragonscaled on: April 17, 2018, 08:31:32 PM
So at the end of the pre-sale the extra tokens will be based on what pegged price exactly? If we all ready contributed how will we know how many extra tokens we should be receiving?

This is something that you should let developers worry about Smiley. They will make sure to calculate each ETH contribution and make sure they correct amount of tokens at the end of pre sale

Are they only accepting ETH for the presale?
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🆗[ANN][OK] Okcash | Future of Cash | Micropayments | Unique LTSS | IoT | ROKOS on: April 17, 2018, 07:48:14 PM
Kind of sad Toshi left this project, I remember the old okcash days

So does anybody know what's up? Is there a DEV? Community coin? Where's OKToshi?

I love this project, but just don't have much confidence lately. Not FUDDING, just wondering what direction we're heading in here.

Doooood! good to see you.  I haven't gone anywhere other than vacation, so in a different timezone, but still active and staking Smiley  Plenty of rains too on our discord Smiley

Personally, I have not talked to toshi in quite some time, but, the plan has always been "No one controls OKcash." This has been stated over and over again, and I think is now sinking in.  Toshi dedicated years to this project with no payments; what little premine there was, was fairly distributed way early. There have been a few different people post here, and DM me mentioning picking up the coding, any of you are welcomed to contribute. There are many options for our path forward. The market is at a relative low, but with great volume, a good chance for any long term buyers to jump in (or back in ofc haha)  OK's core blockchain is stable, and will continue to be.  The network of sites are paid for (I believe) years to come.  We are on bittrex, and UPBit both having very healthy volume for our current value.

There are many opportunities to grow OK, using the current LTSS or it could be changed.  I believe keeping our exchanges should be the priority, but not let that hinder the possibilities.

I am OKorator, I took up this name to be your OK Speaker (orator is latin BTW.)  I'm not the most happy with toshi, but the market had to cool down after those record highs, and the avalanche of messages/threats he was getting, I do understand.  I *hope* to see his return, but is not necessary for our success.

Post some thoughts here community of what you think next steps can be, and I am happy to help.

I was holding and staking this right around the time the discord was started for okcash...and unfortunately right before the huge price action i had sold and moved on, but always liked the coin and community.

I always was impressed with oktoshi and the raspberry pi distribution that okcash built, I didn't know he left though. Why was he getting threats?

Alot of projects live on after main devs depart, then the coin becomes more of a community effort....dont really see it as a bad thing.
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should i do after buying bitcoin on: April 17, 2018, 07:28:59 PM
take your bitcoin and put it into alt coins that you think will do well, your long on btc no matter what, so try to turn your bitcoin into more
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding is bullshit? on: April 17, 2018, 05:09:40 PM
I hold 3 coins espers-(3 years),insane-(2 years),html - (5 years) Shocked and price is the same....no moon ....I dont trust to holding anymore,any suggestions?

Well atleast insane has masternode's now...lol....it looks like your holding bags from 2014 man..

I held VRC for years until i broke even from staking and trading, it's important to be able to cut your losses and move on.

Are you an investor or a trader, I am starting to believe there really isn't much in between.

holding long can be amazing though, DMD did extremely well for me for example
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: April 17, 2018, 04:33:26 PM
So, this is what that asshole Justin dubs as the biggest thing Verge has ever done ... a pesky partnership deal with a pornsite! No wonder price plunges back to $0.06 soon after this exciting deal is announced.

Multiple sites actually... They partnered with MindGeek not just PornHub.

Ya this is actually a pretty big deal, when monero was added to some darknet markets it gave it a real use case and the price skyrocketed months after.

I could see something similar happening with verge....although i hate to say it because there are so many clueless newbie shills who just spam outrageous price predictions to try and create fomo. I still think it's by far one of the most manipulated markets in crypto, the ridiculous dump to 840sats today shows that.

Regardless if you like it or not, it will be a privacy coin that is here to stay....I don't know how they are going to be going in and out of fiat though, someone wants their porn anonymously so their spouse or whoever cant see it...they gotta go from fiat to verge first...
567  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 17, 2018, 04:29:26 PM
Good mention from IMF head and a praise to Sharia Law possible catalyst to recent price action? Or the tax day theory?

7900 seems like pretty strong support imo
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tezos: A Self-Amending Crypto-Ledger on: April 17, 2018, 03:51:38 PM
I believe TZL though is much more direct competitor than EOS. Anyhow I am interested following them
This is XTZ and not TZL.
And for sure EOS has nothing to be compared to XTZ.
Not.Even.Close.

How can you say that? Tezos hasnt even distributed their erc-20 tokens yet....

Have they been working on the platform while this whole foundation mess is going on?

When will they get everything settled and get out of pre launch phase, i can't imagine how frustrating this must be for an ICO investor. I'm a believer in this project mainly because Tim Draper has invested...follow the big money right?
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: April 17, 2018, 02:08:40 PM
So who is the partner? Is it mindgeek or what?

LOL at these newbs calling $1....maybe in 3 years when total crypto mkt cap over 8 tril
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Dragonchain Token Sale on: April 16, 2018, 09:39:32 PM

Wow, alot of info there..

I have been pretty bullish on dragon since late last year, the DSS and being a Disney incubated project was enough for me to invest, also the compliance from the start was a great sign.

Elaborate more on your last sentence about that 3600 eth, so a big address from early on in eth invested...ok get that but why would it matter if they sent it to another address, are you implying that someone that had a big part in ethereum early on really see potential in drgn chain?

Also do you know if they will move to their own chain and implement pos or pow?

Thanks for your write up, very much appreciated, DRGN is one of the projects on my radar to dig way more into and learn as much as a i can as an evangelists.

YES, and not only this, but that person wanted others smart/observant/faithful enough to KNOW he/she had done so (else he/she would have used an anonymous addr, not linked to ETH genysis block).

A huge show of faith, interest, confidence, support in the project from the creator(s) of Ethereum.

That's interesting, I spent some time today looking into ICOs being built with the support of dragonchain and Iagon stood out as being pretty professional, really interested to see where that one goes.

Also I think one huge thing about dragonchain is the following:

"Unlike existing platforms, with Dragonchain you retain complete control of your data. Sensitive business logic and smart contract functionality is kept proprietary.“ - Jow Roots CEO of dragon right?

This made me think of all the shit ICOs that came out on ethereum and scammed people, with dragon it wont be like that, everything is cut and tailored through them so you know its legitimate. Enlighten me more if im viewing this the wrong way, but like the last commenter said...i am a bit confused how people are doing ICOs built on dragon if they dont have their own chain?

For the ambassador badge, how would one get access to present something about Iagon at a conference.

For example some of these bitcoin conferences can run up to $500 just to get in, what cost would be covered for the presenter?
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] IAGON⚡️ AI-Based Decentralized Cloud Systems⚡️ Dragonscaled on: April 16, 2018, 08:41:17 PM
Happy to announce that KYC for Iagon Pre-sale will be open again on April 16th.

Don't miss your chance to join the way of the future with us!

Pre-Sale will be done solely through Dragonchain, Inc., and only holders of Dragon tokens can participate in it. Please visit the Dragonchain website for more information.

Join our Telegram group.

So if we already went through the KYC process through dragonchain we don't have to do it again for the iagon sale right?

Also is ETH the only thing accepted for the presale? Or is it btc/ credit and debit card like the public sale in may will be?
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin under 1$ to invest in now? on: April 16, 2018, 07:15:35 PM
Hello! Guys I am looking for coin under 1$ with some good Basics. maybe some coin that I can hold for 2 to 3 year. Am planning to add some more folios? All the suggestion are Open. Huh Huh

This is one of the biggest mistakes I see new investors to crypto make. Why do you think it has to be under $1?!

The price in USD of the coin does not matter!

Imagine these 2 scenarios:

You buy Zcash and get .4 ZEC and it goes up 200%

You buy Doge and get 100k DOGE and it goes up 20%

Which scenario would you rather have? Obviously the one with Zcash where you made 200% on your bitcoin! The USD price was irrelevant the whole time, newbies always think they have to find a coin under $1 for some reason...as if they have to buy whole shares or something.

% gain is % gain regardless of the amount of coin you are able to buy.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAG] X11 POS/POW+Masternodes MAGNET / magnetwork.io on: April 16, 2018, 06:45:00 PM
Yes things have slowed down, since last fork less blocks per day and more masternodes in the network so you will notice receiving less masternode rewards. It's not out of the ordinary to go 2-3 days without receiving anything for 1 masternode.

Although this can be discouraging, the good news is that the devs can now focus on the roadmap rather than forks to get around centralized mining, also another good thing is that nearly 65% of coin supply is locked in masternodes now. Good to see so much interest.

Remember POS changed from 7% to 14% per the last fork, so you can always disable your node and stake, although you will make less.

Yeah, that post is fake about the MasterNodes.

Needs to be more requirements to post on that coindar thing, too easy for spammers to spread misinformation to solicit pumps.....and get my hopes up  Angry
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: April 16, 2018, 06:30:58 PM
The price in USD is heavily dependent on the price of bitcoin and is somewhat irrelevant until ETC gets many more ETC/USD pairs, right now if you want to buy ETC in most cases you have to buy BTC first. ETC was around $45 when BTC was at an all time high.

What matters is price in bitcoin, and if you look at the chart its consolidated and gone sideways since the big pump back in the summer of 2017 (just like alot of other altcoins), so its fair to assume that ETC will follow suit of an altcoin pump in the future.

Like many others have said....it could potentially be a good buy at this price in btc. good luck, not financial advice. dyor

Wow dude if your going to spam the forum atleast come up with your own comments, jacking other peoples is pretty lame

578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Dragonchain Token Sale on: April 16, 2018, 03:29:56 PM
what is the roadmap for DragonChain? And why should a potential investor invest? I am interested, but wondering why dragonchain is investworthy

Roadmap may be found here: https://dragonchain.com/roadmap

First of all... there is technically no such thing as a DRGN investor. DRGN is a utility token, one meant to be used (by hodling).

Understand Dragonchain is a PLATFORM. Yes, it has a token, but this is simply a tokenized microlicense for its holder providing access to the platform. Created in a Disney lab, centered in one of the largest tech-hubs in the US, perfectly and extremely uniquely 100% SEC compliant since day 1... (I swear, to me it appears .gov is writing its laws in order to comply with Dragonchain, not only the other way around.... lolololol I'm not kidding, this is how well Dragonchain fits into the bigger-picture developing between crypto and the rest of the financial world.)

As far as "why invest", or rather "why hodl".... man... read the whitepaper. It's why this is flying under the radar (also why it exploded when it first arrived [developers were super stoked, wanted to begin hodling{few minded the higher price, they wanted in and to begin building DSS score}])... because only those so far who get it, well... get it. The rest are just too lazy to read the whitepaper; hype followers will eventually fizzle out as blockchain tech further and further manifests in real-world applications and utility. Were I to explain why I own DRGN, I'd be sitting here typing for days on end. It is a blockchain of blockchains. Think Microsoft Windows for blockchains. Dragonchain is the operating system, its "incubator projects" are the programs/apps built upon the OS... and one requires DRGN to get/run/create those programs/apps. Think of a masternode or PoS coin... You hold that coin over time and you earn "reward", right?... well Dragonchain is this x 1million. Yes, there is plan for mn/pos/even pow applications in the future for DRGN holders, but beyond this, by holding DRGN in an erc-20 wallet, you gain Dragon Slumber Score (DSS) points with time. DSS=number of drgn * days held. Higher DSS ---> greater discount on any pre-sale/ICO for the incubator projects that develop on the platform... it is like an abstracted masternode, abstract in the sense that the "reward" comes through greater and greater discounts on projects within a platform that is likewise becoming itself greater and greater through time as more projects join into/with it, and as those projects themselves progress. think fractals. very dragon-like. Anyone with an idea can approach Dragonchain and receive as much help and customization as they need in bringing their idea to fruition... with or without any tech/blockchain knowledge whatsoever.

You need to read the whitepaper, and you need to realize not everyone out there has the patience to do so. You need to understand DRGN market growth will happen through time whether you read the whitepaper or not (because slowly, more and more do read it and see that white light, and share it, even with those who don't read it), and you need to seize the opportunity while it lasts. This is groundbreaking stuff, truly endlessly applicable/interoperable/scalable/language & currency agnostic/etc. It can host public AND private blockchains and anything between, even interact with already existing blockchains like BTC, ETH, etc.. Each project has limitless potential to tailor security features / function / interoperability with other chains / etc., , as required by the project. It's like... a fractal net of glory, dragon-like. This will only become more and more apparent as projects continue to build upon it and feed off of/give to each other within the Dragonchain ecosystem and beyond, no end in sight. The team is outstanding, the projects being built onto the platform are outstanding... it's so outstanding that I've yet to read a perfectly concise and acceptable explanation of it that gives it due justice ANYWHERE, EVER (besides in the whitepaper). It's so interesting and mind-opening that I probably sound like a lunatic trying to explain it, because well... how does one adequately explain infinity with only his/her 10 fingers? One doesn't.

https://dragonchain.com/dd6d7a464346349a6659b8c1075e6772.pdf

I'm gifting you just by spending the time to write this. Why ought I to have written it? Why shouldn't I just let it stay under the radar as long as possible so that I can keep buying more and more at cheap price as my personal finances permit?

Here's an interesting tidbit for you: Did you know an ETH genesis-block address-owner contributed 3600 ETH (~$1mill at the time) during ICO? Why? Has this ever happened? Answer: No. Why not just send that 3600K ETH to a new address and then send to ICO anonymously??? Answer: THINK ABOUT IT. *taps forefinger several times upon temple*

-Rest

579  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Journey (with Hashflare) on: April 16, 2018, 03:04:54 PM
The cease and desist order from 2 usa states to genesis mining should really discern people to the reality of the situation with cloud mining. Ya sure you may make a little money but you have to fully 100% trust the company will honor your contract.

They are borderline ponzi schemes...most of the time you are better off just buying the equipment yourself, or buying off the market....or just buy and hold staking/masternode coins.

You can make so much more buying and setting up masternode coins....if you are willing to tackle a small learning curve.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are 3 MOST IMPORTANT things for you in ICO? (before you invest) on: April 16, 2018, 02:57:50 PM
Didn't even vote....

Remember any ICO may later be deemed a security and then considered fraudulent, a lot of these ICOs are distributed so unfairly it undermines the whole point of bitcoin in the first place.

I now see why some are bitcoin maximalist.... seems like there anymore there only a few true crypto currencies that really had a fair and honest launch and distribution.
