"Is Golem GNT the dumbest project since the DAO?"

That is the title of this video below"

I am curious to hear some thoughts on these critics.

MAsternodes release on 20th April, according to coindar?

coinciding with 4.20..What a perfect date.. Grin

Whaaat?....no way

I can't find info anywhere about an implementation of masternodes, please support your claim or is it too good to be true?
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CVC] CIVIC Tokensale Successfully Completed on: April 10, 2018, 04:52:30 PM
Anything at all is possible within crypto business, do you think CVC will go beneath ICO cost?

It's already below ICO price.

ICO price was around 0,00003700 BTC, current price around 0,00002920 BTC, that's a ~21% loss.

In USD value the token is still above ICO price I believe.

Still, Vinny had the first movers advantage but it's taking him too long to deliver. Other identity verification projects are rising and might catch up on Civic.

Kind of a blessing in disguise though, most ICOs now-a-days never get down to ICO price levels, consider it a good buying opportunity.

Yes Vinny had first mover advantage but I agree with you man there are alot of competition and other projects out there, as a holder it would be a lie if i would say I am a bit worried. Hopefully Vinny's status among the crypto/bitcoin community will yield civic to do well in the future.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LCC] Litecoin Cash | SHA256 LTC fork @ block 1371111 | 10:1 claim ratio on: April 10, 2018, 03:19:11 PM
This was failed fork of Litecoin seeing the used distribution formula can be easy to understand. Its current price are not even near that of 1/10 ratio keeping as base value. In next couple of days seeing the decrease can be said 1:100 will be easy so this is one of the reasons which make it failed even in early stages.

These ratios don't really keep, especially when most holders of the pre forked coin don't have any intention of holding...maybe with BTC it's different but for coins like ETH or LTC it's different. I wouldn't expect LCC to hold any kind of ratio to LTC, it will trade independently.

Wouldn't call this dead either, 15btc volume on mercatox and price going sideways.

Anyone have any good information about old bitmain asics performance? Would a couple s5's even be worth running on this?
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MINT] Mintcoin (POS / 5%) [NO ICO] [Fair distro, community maintained] on: April 09, 2018, 08:57:52 PM
How has no one noticed or asked about the fact that Cryptopia has the wallet listed as under maintenance (you cannot withdraw or deposit) since 3-21 with no real explanation of why??
Does anyone have any info on this?
I would suggest making effort to get this coin listed on an exchange with actual volume, coinexchange and southX are very low volume sites (and cryptopia has apparently been under maintenance for over a week with no explanation.)
Need to get this on binance or bittrex, SOMETHING half way professional or it's going to stay worthless.
+1
is any info from dev or mintteam?

I think mintcoin has been a community oriented coin for a long time now, there probably is not developers working fulltime on it, there is <1BTC volume on cryptopia and it's not uncommon for wallets to be in maintenance for months on cryptopia  Cheesy  Cheesy

Before you guys throw a fit, look around at all the resources to get information.

606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: April 09, 2018, 08:43:00 PM
Waves is definitely a good and undervalued project and coin. All it needs is more popularity among people. People still prefer ethereum over it. Personally I like the waves decentralized exchange. I use it often to trade often.

Very undervalued, it's not popular because every crypto newb in 2017 bought Neo and still think its the future of crypto....it's astonishing to me how the 2017 have responded to crypto.
Until a move happens that pierces  waves into the collective minds of crypto investors, it will just trade naturally with the overall trend of the alt market.....a shame really because it has a significant advantage over almost all token economy platforms. Think about it....all these fresh erc-20 tokens hardly have a mainnet chain going yet...
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: April 09, 2018, 07:55:14 PM
what is the price pridections for this year

price prediction for this year: 150-250 dollars per ETC
Where you read $150-$250 ? Can you give me about
News or ether?

I am a professional investor and trader and I do have targets 150 -250 dollars per 1 ETC.
You may believe or not, it is up to you. No one knows future.

Easy, when BTC hits 50K..  Cheesy

This.

Easy for alts to go 10x when the btc its priced in goes 10x, ETC been stable at 200k, most new investors will only look at usd price which isn't the right way to look at the altcoin market. I see so many videos on youtube where people are like "wow everything is up today"...when bitcoin has gone up a couple hundred bucks.... Roll Eyes

Ive learned ETC is geared more of a store of value coin, I think new investors will buy it if its given more on ramps like coinbase, but we will see...
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ICON - Interchain Blockchain Network / Hyperconnect the World! on: April 09, 2018, 05:08:21 PM
I think The real support will be at 5800 to confirm the double-bottom. Will be a lot of buyers at the 5.8-6k range

What prices are you talking about, those numbers dont represent anywhere near the range of the price of ICON in USD, BTC or ETH?

On another note on the block explorer there is said to be 46 C-Reps, where can i find more information about these? Are there any reps from the icon team who follow this tread to provide any actual info about the project?
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Should we limit members in one campaign? on: April 09, 2018, 05:01:48 PM
Yes they should be limited to one campaign and there should be tighter rules to sig campaigns on this forum, there is way to much abuse of them as there is now...so many bots and other users who dont even care about the signature they represent
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [POT]PotCoin - Banking for the Legal Cannabis Industry ✦ ✦ ✦Grow With Us ✦ ✦ ✦ on: April 08, 2018, 04:34:23 PM
Why legal US cannabis businesses can’t use banks

Cannabis is legal in nearly two-thirds of American states, but many legal marijuana businesses are forced to operate without a bank account.

California became the largest state in the US to legalise recreational cannabis use on 1 January 2018, but because at a national level it's still illegal any bank that handles cannabis money can be charged with money laundering.

http://www.bbc.com/news/av/newsbeat-43200497/why-legal-us-cannabis-businesses-can-t-use-banks

Is this bad news Huh Hopefully potcoin is not affected by all the bad news and continue this project gradually.

No, because it's always been that way. It's not news as it's been talked about for years already.

Legal cannabis use will explode once CA will start around August. (They legalized it (federally)a while back but their infrastructure has not figured out how to implement it's use, sales, taxing, etc.. That's where an already established and used crypto with fast and cheap confirmations will shine. AKA, PotCoin.

Can confirm. I live in LA. Cannabis has already exploded. Tons of medical dispensaries are now recreational. After speaking with a few dispensaries, they're interested in crypto and they're also interested in digital payments.

It's ridiculous that when CA becomes fully legal nearly 1/10th of the american population will be able to consume legally while others go to jail for it. CA is the WORLDS 6th largest economy...the revenue that will be brought in from cannabis will be so massive.

I could rant for days about how ridiculous cannabis law is in america, in my state they are barely letting people get micro amounts of CBD for medicine. It's so aggravating how slow the law makers are with this stuff....I don't think they will ever legalize it federally. The government will just keep looking the other way and let the states decide on their own, some states will drag their feet for years because some conservative politicians feel they have the right to tell people what they can and can't do with their own bodies. Fucking ridiculous.

Anyways...Potcoin will definitely find its place in this niche industry, its a first mover, Rodman supports, it will all come down to marketing and I think potcoin has had the best. Any thoughts about price action around 4/20?
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: April 08, 2018, 04:24:07 PM
The reversible transactions have always been the most interesting feature of this coin since i first read about it years ago, somewhat discouraging that its not implemented yet though? Or is it?

Binance listing would add a bunch of exposure I believe, although its expensive and probably hard to get is it something in the works?

Still this coin looks very good to trade, 20k looks like good support
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: April 08, 2018, 04:19:01 PM
Really stable after the forks and dev team showing progress with the new explorer, was rough for a while with cryptopia down all the time and having to utilize crypto bridge.

10-12k sats looks like the floor and has bounced off those support levels several times, even though price it at all time lows it's important to remember that  BWK has significant advantage over most other masternode coins in that they are listed on big exchanges and have had several challenges already overcome.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest me 3 new coins with high potential on: April 06, 2018, 09:20:59 PM
Look into LBRY credits (LBC) and Factom (FCT)

Stop listening to these Tron and Neo cheerleaders they are both over valued for what they have.

Look beyond the top 50 coins on CMC for a change

LBC for example is always in top ten for most commits to their project on github

FCT for example has received grants from bill and malinda gates foundation and homeland security (was also voluntarily tweeted by McAfee after he met the CEO at a Bitcoin conference in texas)

ALOT of the coins in the top 50 are soooo much hype and little product

If you want a 3rd look at GameCredits

Good luck
614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The believe that because of Bitcoin limited supply the price will rise is a myth on: April 06, 2018, 08:51:44 PM
Supply will stay the same, demand will effect the price. Demand of bitcoin has grown over the years so price has risen.

To only think of it as a medium of exchange I think is somewhat narrow minded.

border-less
store of value similar to gold

Those two alone I think will yield ever increasing demand.

What is LBRY exactly – is it a protocol, an app, a website, a company?

Just hearing about LBRY for the first time? You've probably got questions - and we've got answers!
Readmore: buff.ly/2qatJJP

LBRY is pretty much all of those things
Protocol- Similar to IPFS or BitTorrent, LBRY is a protocol that enables decentralized media sharing by seeding content across a distributed network, only difference is that LBRY has a native cryptocurrency. It also has a built in naming protocol similar to namecoin, where certain URL names are associated with the highest bidder.

An App- The LBRY app enables users to download and watch content while also enabling publishers to post their content in a decentralized way and charge a fee (in LBC) to watch, or put it up for free. Mobile Andriod app in the works.

Website- Yes check from cmc. Also a community driven site.

Company- Yes, registered company from Boston, MA. They were seeded by VCs.

617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] CoinPoker: Poker future is today! on: April 06, 2018, 04:00:25 PM
so far the only losers are the people who trusted coinpoker and participated in the ICO , it seems that coinpoker cares more about freerollers and shills than the original investors
can't see this site going anywhere big in the future , still the same freerolls and the same added tournies with no rake being generated at all and freerollers dumping what they make on the exchanges

Do you even play poker ? Who cares about freerollers that dump 5% of total supplies ? Let's see when all dumpers will be gone.
Only losers are people who bought BTC in late december, noobs who "boguth the dip" those month following shitty "this is not a financial advice" crap from twitter .
I accumilating CHP, and playing as I would play on a fiat room . No lose here . You think your rank on a dying unmoderated forum makes you trustable ?  X doubt .

lol keep shilling that site , they didn't take bitcoins or fiat they took ethereum and now it's less than half what it was
no development at all in the last month except adding the skinz , so you can keep talking BS as much as you want but you can't hide the truth
chp will never success and you can mark my words , it doesn't make sense to buy a coin to play poker with when you can directly play with your btc or eth in other sites

only loosers are the investors who dumped their ETH in that scam project , and since you consider the forums here dying then stop browsing it and wasting your time

Other "sites" you talk about are scams, noone known in their team, no transparent rng ... If you would even have make some research you would have seen that room is still in beta with final software coming soon, also mobile app this month. Known poker players part of the team (Isabelle Mercier and Tony G) and it makes perfect sense to take ETH during ICO for an ERC 20 token .
But like other haters, you can just spit on it without even look at the withepaper because "you know better than everyone" . Go play on your obscur bitcoins room and don't come pollute our community with your hate speach of loser .

Sorry but if you have done your research you will see that most attempts at a crypto related poker room have failed or are continuing to fail. Betcoin, SWC, SatoshiBet, betbit365 to name a few.

Go look at breakout gaming, they were endorsed by johhny chan, huck seed and many others, those guys were wsop champs dude.....why would you get all worked up over Tony G and Jason Mercier's sister? What kind of pull do they actually have in poker world?

And even Breakout has reallly struggled to get things going and they have been going at it for 1.5 years, check the thread yourself https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1509819.4440.

At the moment this room is following the same path as rooms that failed before, just consistent freerolls (with bots  Roll Eyes) and no real volume. Not every industry needs a blockchain solution and i hate to say it but a decentralized poker room is one of them. If your only real selling point is that its transparent and provably fair by the blockchain then you will never really attract anyone, the only players who think that the sites are rigged are fish anyways.

Not because many fail to find a solution that it's impossible . I have nothing to lose in coinpoker, I like the community, the team is very active and present and who cares about bots ? There on every room and no bot is winning at poker . Bots are even the most easy "players" to exploit because of their poor developement .
Again your only arguement is "others have fail so they will fail" .... What's the point ? And why are you still here if you don't trust in it ? We don't need vigilante .... Or rename batman, at least this would be fun ...

My argument is better than yours at this point, you are suggesting that this room will somehow succeed where many others have failed , tell me how?

I am here because I have kept an eye on any blockchain related poker rooms, it's not that I don't trust in it, I just don't think that any crypto poker room will EVER be able to compete with big poker rooms like poker stars....even if it is 100% fair and decentralized...poker players don't care about that. They care about big rakeback, MTT guarentees and ring game volume. All things CHP doesn't have right now dude.

You obviously have something to lose or you wouldn't be defending it so hard. What happens when the players dry up and there is no value for chp other than just being another erc20 ICO that didn't make it? Not all will make it unfortunately and in fact most have failed already, sad but true. Sad

I defend it because there is not point of all the hate we can see on this thread . Obviously it's hard to make a brand new room with new concept and the trolls around and scammer that spam his shi**y bot are definitely not helping . Look like Derek Smart .... People that are not able to make something but come to spit on others people hard work ...
Also I defend it because  of instant deposit and withdraw, the project of decentralized rng and it's the only international room that I can play on in my country . And it's still good to be part of a new community and see the developement from the start . As a gamer , be part of beta as many time gave me good time and good memories . I invested only 50$ in it and made many chp out of it and with freerolls . If I would dump now I would have more that before the investment . So no , not all investors are losing money here , because it's poker not a simple ICO that serve no purpose .

I agree that people spamming a poker bot over and over is pretty bad, my intention is not to "spit" on the project, I have been playing poker online off and on since 2003 and have been into crypto since 2013 so I come to be skeptical of things.

I agree people shouldn't hate on developer work, if it wasn't for committed  developers crypto would be nowhere.

I will give it to you that it is an advantage to have instant withdraws/deposits and to be border-less, but I still think the project has a LONG road ahead of it. Good luck to you.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: April 06, 2018, 02:29:45 PM

Can you elaborate on this, to me the price action in both of those circles don't really correlate? Huh Huh

Also do you have your chart bar dragged all the way to the right on polo? looks like its at around 160k sats where price now is around 200k

620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: April 05, 2018, 07:43:54 PM
CEO of LitePay, informing that he has ceased all operations and is preparing to sell the company.

https://litecoin-foundation.org/2018/03/announcement-on-litepay/

Is this really true? I wonder who will agree to buy it and how soon it will happen

Yes it's true. There is nothing of worth to buy. Nobody needs it.

I see, thank you. And what about those who already bought tokens?

Sadly the people who already bought the tokens, you got caught in a pump and dump scheme while Charlie Lee was hyping it with the fake LitePay stuff. Don't worry it's not his fault, he sold all his Litecorns a long way ago at the ATH.  Wink

Those are some serious accusations got any proof?

The facts are all true. Charlie did promote LitePay, LitePay turned out to be fake. He sold all his Litecoins (some of them at the ATH).

If you don't look at the big picture it can seem like a deliberate pump and dump scheme. I don't think it was, but some people see it that way.

It's hard not to think it kinndaa was though right?.....He gets on with coinbase, in a time where there was hardly anything going on with litecoin when he was still actively developing litecoin. Then after a while it suddenly gets added to coinbase, and then he quits, eventually all these things get shown that are coming down the pipeline (litepay ect),pumping the price and at the top he decides to dump it all...now some of those things in the pipeline start to fall through.

What part of the big picture am I missing? It's hard not to think that there is shady stuff going on.
