I invested in LBRY on 22nd june when it was pumping from 17th june 11.27 worth of bitcoins and at that time LBRY reached 92 cents, Now my bitcoins are worth 2.5 and I am one the biggest bag holder of these, Guess it was my start in trading and I have learnt the hard way, I thought and believed this to be a great project but I don't know why this particular project has not recovered, All other altcoins have been recovering but not this particular one. Guess I will remain the bag holder of it till my 30k+ lbc becomes same worth as I invested in.
ouch!! im really sorry for you loss BUT it's not a loss unless you sell!! i was in a very similar situation in 2014 when i bought vericoin almost near its top and held the bag for a long time you gotta look on the bright side, even though your down on your BTC investment, the price in BTC is going way up so your recouping your losses just because BTC is worth more. my advice to you would be to accept that you are a long term holder of LBC and you should try to avg down by buying and trading. ..last little bit of encouragement..i sold all my vericoin early this year for a 2 BTC gain just because i held over the years and staked and traded the coin actively. if you just keep your head up and dont give up and sell you will get back in the green. just be grateful that you are bag holding a legit project and not one where the dev bails and coin goes to zero

I dont think that BCC will collapse in more early like in 2017, The people who invested there are easy with money , they are able to withdraw anytime. Personally i won't suggest anyone to invest rater check and research about the project.
but BCC is some cool project!
This. The people who actually put themselves out there on youtube and suggest this to other people just for the 7% commission are scum. Most of them don't even explain the risk or understand what they are promoting. If people want to invest then find do so at your own peril, but don't go out there being greedy trying to entice others into it when they don't understand the risk. BCC shouldn't have the referral system

Hello! I am new to Hyperstake!
I have a question:
What is the minimum balance I must have before I can even hope minting new coins? I ask this because in many proof of stake coins you never stake anything if you have less than several million coins...
Thanks for any help!
It's all personal opinions. I would say 200K divided into 10K blocks. My guess is you would see 1-2 stakes per week. I could be totally off. I always kept the block size large when I didn't have many coins, So I would insure they would stake, and as I got more and more coins I would decrease the size, so more of the luck factor comes into play. 1-2 stakes per week...how much is that in coins? Every stake is 1000 hyper, no little, no more. So at current prices 2000 hyper per week is equal to ~$3.5 per week. You can expect around %70 annual interest rate but it is subject to fluctuate. If you want higher quantity of stake simply buy more hyper.

There hasnt been a proper price movement for LBRY yet. This one os long due and I am hoping it will happen very soon.
But it has $23 mln capitalization atm. Isn't it too much for the project in the current development state including expectations. The price may easily drop twice or more in short term. No not too much taking into account the size of other coins.

Well zooming out on the chart there has been a downtrend ever since feb 2017 that is quite long, in prospective it means everyone that bought to hold is in the red right now, for months. If we want to attract new investors there are 2 things to consider, faster dev of the platform ie more staff, coders etc. Or reach an uptrend maybe even test new ATH, that would get things going.
I do hold a LBC bag but i dont see it, the coin does not gain ground even when everything else is. Longterm i think we are not on the bottom.
Pretty bad, seems like a pump and dump, half a year into the red is pretty bad. And we are not even close to a new ATH, we need a miracle for that to happen lol.
I love it how you say "oh we need faster dev and more staff" when they are way ahead of competing projects. then you call it a pump and dump just because its 1/2 in the red, as if lbry is the only crypto ever thats experienced this...

its impossible to know for sure if they have this trade bot or not, if you do a little research you will find that big banks and institutions create trade bots all the time that operate at a profit daily. but these are multi billion dollar institutions that have the resources to create such things
so at the end of the day you have to ask yourself if this bitconnect company really has this ability? also keep in mind they say they are trading crypto, not on wall street where there is much more liquidity and less volatility.
remember mt gox? mintpal? bitfinex in 2016? bter in 2015? all 3rd party exchanges that were hacked.... so not only does an investor have to worry about the chance of it being a ponzi but also the risk of bitconnect getting hacked.
its really been marketed and put out there as an MLM thing (maybe not their intention) but the truth, hence why i think most investors don't understand the risk associated.
one thing i wonder is what they will do if their bot ceases to yield a profit? would they quit accepting loans and notify people to make sure everyone gets their loans back?...i mean they would still have BCC which has been developed and kept up with.

Folks, is it still interesting to stake HYP? I was thinking and would like to know the real possibilities of this coin and profit! Some people above said 250k HYP is a good amount to start staking?
In my opinion this is a really good time to buy, if you look at the chart its been on a down trend since the last hype/pump cycle....no way to tell how low it will go though. Besides the price being cheap this is presstabs coin and he is a very talented developer with a lot of experience. 250k is a decent amount to start with but obviously your going to stake more often if you buy more. Make sure you understand the coin control before you start staking. good luck

For those of you that aren't on the slack channel, I am going to be implementing a governance system for HYP here in the near future, in fact I have begun writing the code already.
The plan is to have a staker activated voting system, that would be for most intents and purposes very similar to miner activated forks in bitcoin. So for example, I would LOVE to get rid of the X11 hashing of block headers (pointless extra resource consumption and longer sync times) and use SHA256. I plan on using the new governance system to have that fork precoded into the wallet, and only activated once something like 70% of the previous two weeks worth of stakes are signalling support (exact numbers to be determined). Once that happens, the activation would be automatic and no further updating of the wallet would be required.
I would like to have quite a few issues that we would be voting on all at once. Various forks that are ready to be activated if our stakers decide they would be good for the HYP. If the vote is no, then they would never be implemented.
This will give us as a community a solid way to work forward and progress the coin, without all the noise that can get in the way. These votes would be immutable and publicly seen on the blockchain. And of course I would add some RPC commands as well as an additional dialog in QT wallet that will allow you to select which issues you are voting for. I think it will be a pretty amazing addition to HYP.
This sounds interesting, a staking activated voting mechanism huh? So for a staker to activate support they would just need to download and sync up the new update and stake some blocks right? Would this be a first for any stake coin?...I would love to see you get creative with hyper once your full time crypto
